10:50 For the quality of the watch the processes of making a historically faithful watch, along with the different steel alloy. As well, many Western brands would charge this much or more, so I think it’s pretty fair for them to ask for the same level of pricing that others do. It’s a bit ridiculous to expect them to price their watches lower simply because they are a Chinese brand.
11:26 And they are. You’re missing the entire point of this watch for a checklist.

Mine arrived with a totally misaligned bezel *AND* cyclops. There was zero QC done obviously. Will never buy an IX&Dao watch again and I'll likely never buy from Watchdives again. Completely soured the Chinese watch-buying experience given the money I spent here.
Returning it with prejudice.

They have the same factory as heimdallr. So yeah 0 QC.

I can't see any value in this overpriced homage watch with a basic NH34 movement. A few flaws and that silly text is a real no go. Good review buddy.

Nh34 for that price is OK what is a gmt movement that can go in a watch and still be worth 300$? The miyota 9075 is more expensive and any Swiss movement will cost 200$ extra

This watch could be great but too many but ….i would take the San Martin SN005 instead.

The SN005 is also a great option, but it’s a bit bigger. The 38mm size is what really drew me towards this watch.

Thanks for the review. My favorite strap is the first one you show, the tan one. I have this watch in my list and I might go for it on the next AE sale. I hope that Ixdao makes improvements before. They’re already working on a no date magnifier version but it seems that they have other bigger issues to fix.

Thanks for the great and honest review. Yours is very much like John’s review from John’s Watch Joint. At first it seems like a brilliant watch (it’s still super awesome), but there are some issues that need addressing. The QC at this price is absolutely unacceptable. It does look damn good on brown leather though. Thanks!

They gotta take this exact case, thin it out to fit a Miyota 9039 and make it a black bay 54 killer. A nice midsize dive watch with a jubilee bracelet and 904l steel
