In order to have a legitimate career in music, you have to be on the road and spending everyday hours to get as much publicity as possible in order to get more people to want to buy your music. I remember all the people telling me how great I looked when I’d made my decision - I just stopped carrying a massive weight around and realized I was free and unimpeded. Turns out a lot of the physical things I was suffering from were from mental and emotional pain that expressed itself physically because I kept ignoring it.
I just went through something very similar myself, and I need to keep reminding myself of that! Time for a glow up!

That's what I was thinking! It made me think of that because of her mentioning she was recently very ill. He likely saw his in to controlling literally everything that has to do with her money. We definitely need more context but it makes me wonder how much money she has and if he's seeing some sort of $$$ after her recent trip to the hospital.

About the 1st story :
How convenient, get someone you like, make them take care of you and fully support you. Then complain they are not as fun, fancy and flirty as before. Use this as excuse to cheat, then blame them. After you split they feel and look much better (because they don't use their time and resources to take care of you) and you want them back. And complain that they don't want you + guilt trip them that it's their fault that your relationship don't work

I’d honestly would consider breaking off a relationship for something like this.
She explained to him her worries, not wanting to sign blindfolded if he doesn’t show what she signed (which is totally fine and right, since you’re signature is not a doodle, it’s actually legally binding) and even after that, did he an explanation? Did he care about her worries? Absofuckinglutely not
My mind just goes to the darkest place of what her husband wants her to sign is a suicide note or something. She is entitled to see what she is going to sign. You can trust someone with your life but they can stab you in the back with a blindfold it just makes it easier to stab you in the front. One of the reasons to watch and listen to true crime shows and podcasts, even if it does make one a tad paranoid.

On the wedding one- I had a child free wedding and two of my bridesmaids (both sister in laws) were literally 39 weeks pregnant. All went well and we joked about what they would do if their water broke during the ceremony. Some people are ridiculous 🥴

@@InspiringZebrasThis!! Weddings are expensive as fuck. She very well could go into labor early and I wouldn’t want that either. Their commentary was an L take honestly. Because no she wouldn’t just be escorted out and things keeping going smoothly. The soon to be husbands family would all leave.
She’s being villainized for being realistic. You spend all this time and effort planning this day. And sure - not everything will go as planned but you can prevent certain things like a literal labor. Soon to be husband is also an asshat for running and telling mommy and daddy immediately instead of communicating with OP.

GIRL the signature wife scared tf out of me. There was a serial killer (I forgot the case name) but he would make his girlfriends sign blank sheets of paper. He then would murder the girlfriends and use the blank sheets to write their families notes as if they were still alive 🤯

I literally read the second post on Reddit before this Ep and I suggested she get one of those blindfolds that is actually see through so she can see what the papers say
The pregnancy story: My mom went into labor with me at a wedding and she toughed out the whole ceremony and reception. Pregnant women are amazing with what they are capable of. Let the girl live and have a good time at the wedding before giving birth!
Why not allow your fiancé’s sister to the wedding & shaming her choices? She is not disposable. Fiancé should call off the wedding. Its step one of OP trying to control everything & show true colors. You have chairs & plenty of time to rest during the ceremony & reception. Its Easy to accommodate. OP is making up scenarios as the reason of justifying toxicity. Due date is an approximation after the wedding. Shes stepping up to keep the baby & be responsible. OP could learn a lesson.
@@ellamarie9429 it's also understandable to be worried about someone having their water break at a ceremony that you spend thousands of dollars on. As long as the sister is making any and all accommodations and has a plan to get out discreetly if her water breaks then there shouldn't be an issue but it's worth bringing up and discussing as a concern with the family 🤷♀️
My mum skipped a wedding since it was after the due date, I was born not even a week later
First time moms normally don’t have babies early unless there’s some other complications gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, etc. why not leave it up to the sister when the time come to make that choice herself. I went to my brothers graduation 39 weeks pregnant. It not that serious, come on.
Seriously, I went to a Jonas Brothers concert at 37 weeks pregnant, walked around a ton, had a BLAST with my best friend who I knew I wouldn’t get to spend as much time with soon, and then had my daughter 3 days before her due date. No reason to keep her from the fun just because she’s 9 months pregnant!
Listening to those wedding stories, it seems that for some people weddings are about being admired by your acquaintances, not celebrating an important milestone with the people you love the most.
Never ever ever ever sign anything without knowing explicitly what it is. Never a blank check, never for your significant other, never for any reason. The fact that he’s even ask her to do something like that and then gaslight her after is a red freaking billboard.

Me too! We never found out what it was, did we? It was something financial or had to do with liability, for sure. Those would be the things that we have the biggest impact, but things she wouldn’t necessarily sign on her own. I really, really wanna know what it was!

You got the time for story 5 wrong. It starts at about 41:37, give or take a few seconds. The time you linked is like, midway through the story and already into their takes
I don't get the whole "I don't want the attention taken away from me" thing. The most attention you get is at the ceremony. After that, guests spend more time mixing and mingling with each other than they do the bride and groom.
But if she did go into labor, it's unlikely her water would break all over the dance floor, and she could easily slip away without causing a huge scene. Even if word got around about her going into labor, so what? They are allowed to talk about things other than the bride and groom AND celebrate their marriage at the same time.
I think it’s because these people spend a shit ton of money on these ceremonies that they would want all the money to not go to waste, also if you’re feeling the most beautiful you’ve ever felt and it’s supposed to be an extremely important day of your life, you’d want the attention on you. But I think it’s mostly the sentimental and money thing lol
I get wanting the ceremony and reception to be as perfect as possible, but what’s the point if you are excluding the people you love the most for something that isn’t guaranteed to be an issue? Surely they can have a plan if the sister goes into labor.
@@Baphypathrid the way I see it, someone going into labor during the event shouldn't make you feel like your money was wasted. You can still go through with the ceremony, and you can still eat, drink, dance, and be happy and enjoy your family and friends. Something that would cause the event to end prematurely or be cancelled altogether (covid, a fire, a power outage) would be a waste. Sudden the labor doesn't affect anybody except the mom-to-be and her support crew. Everybody else can stay and enjoy the party.

Wedding story: I don’t think this has anything to do with the family it has everything to do with her being mad about a pregnancy outshining her wedding and essentially outshining her “big moment”
To the pregnant wedding story: as a teen mom, statistics are that it is very unlikely that womens first child will come early, also like they said water breaks are over hyped in the media in reality most womens water doesn’t break and with first pregnancy early labor which is light contractions that are period cramp like build for weeks before you have screaming contractions so if the girl possibly went into labor early she would know probably days ahead of time and most likely make the decision not to come if she was or thought she could give birth soon. I personally had early labor contraction for a week before I gave birth and my active labor was for 26 hours and my water didn’t break until I had been laboring for 14 of those 26 hours so trust me she would know if it was baby time and again it’s very very unlikely
I’ve been married for 14 years together for 16 and I WOULD NEVER sign anything with out seeing it. Period.

With the wife being asked to sign something blindfolded, I would say, "sure". and then I'd sign something like Jessica Lange and take the blindfold off to see what i am signing

A former neighbour made his wife sign something she wasn't able to read (he had hidden her glasses prior to this) and turned out she had lost her rights to the house or sth. He later divorced her and left her for another woman

On the topic of the pregnant teen story- when I had my son at 20, I didn’t even KNOW when my water broke. Worked for the next day for 12 hours went in for my check up appt since my due date was close and found out then. That bride to be is being self centered af.

This happened to my mom too! Her water broke and she thought she just peed on herself. She only realized it was her water breaking when she kept “peeing”
Not to mention, most first babies come late. Theres a higher chance of the baby being born almost a month later than on the wedding day

The end of the show where you guys mentioned that listening to these stories is a bonding experience for couples, it absolutely is! When you guys mentioned the fiancé upset about the pregnant sister being at the wedding story, MY fiancé paused his game, and said “the fuck did they just say!?” So I had to start the story over so he could hear the story and both be mad about it collectively. We think she’s the asshole for sure

for the woman and the papers and the signing, I would have been like "Okay yes, lets play." and let him blindfold me and acted like I was going to sign, and then grab the paper and take off the blindfold to see what it was, I really thing he was up to no good...
The signature story reminds me of true crime things I've watched, where someone tricks their partner into signing a blank page and then types up/prints out a suicide note, or a "I'm leaving don't look for me" note before killing them.

Listening to this podcast feels like I'm just talking to friends. I was laughing so hard at the wedding dances part, because I am also just as clueless.
I would sooner put on my big girl pants and tell a guy I don't own a thong than borrow my mother's underwear. Plot twist the guy was Australian and wanted her to wear jandals/flip flops (whatever Americans call them lol) and just thought the scanty underwear was a bonus treat for him lmao jk
I don't want to miss the live show but ultimately I have to accept that $20-30 NZD just isn't in my budget, but I do hope everyone who can afford it is living their best life watching it. Though credit to moment house for not only displaying the price in my currency but making it clear that is nzd and not making me hunt around in the nooks and crannies to try and find it, if its even there, (for the love of god at least put it in your FAQS, people) (often i have to guess whether its USD or sometimes Australian) and then have to go through the hassles of converting it, so they are a life saver in that sense.

The pregnancy story: the person getting married is jealous that the sister is having the first family baby. That’s what is going on. She is purely jealous and only want eyes on her. Also, like Morgan said.. that is her niece…. She should feel honored that the baby is coming and be a support. Baby will be here soon whether they like it or not.

100% agreed. I’m religious (Catholic) and identify as being pretty pro-life. You cannot claim to want to support women (especially young moms) who choose life for their babies while judging them at the same time. Fear of judgment could be a reason why a young mom may choose abortion, even if they don’t want to have one. At least it sounds like the fiancé’s family was pretty pissed at the idea of their daughter not be at the wedding. In regards to the OP though, she’s 100% a judgmental AH.
When my water broke I called the hospital and they said come in to check me over but my dinner was ready so I asked if I would wait an hour and I was fine for a while until contractions started 🤣

Just wanted to share: your water breaking has nothing to do with pain levels during labor. I was in active labor and almost was able to birth my 2nd child with breaking the amniotic sac. Your water can break before your ready to give birth also.

I would be careful with calling losing weight a “glow up” or “taking care of herself”. I wouldn't trust anybody, not my own mother, not even a priest, to just sign something without seeing it. I don't care who you are, honest people not only don't make the request, they don't shame the denial to do so. We are taught not to sign anything we haven't read since childhood.
My dad is fully legally blind. When he had to go with me to get my permit, I had to keep guiding his hand across all the paper and it wasn’t easy at all (I obviously don’t mind because he literally can’t see) but that’s what I automatically thought of when I heard the 3rd story. It’s not easy for you to completely guide their hand across the page, and I know it wasn’t easy for my dad to sign on all the lines cause he was getting frustrated. The persistence in what he’s doing is what’s weird, he’s asked multiple times but won’t tell her or even show her wtf she’s signing 🧐
