Thanks for clarifying which stage needs baking soda, tub rinse, etc.
Usually everyone is told to do the exact same thing without regard the maturity (or lack) of the locs.

    Hi there
I’m a newbie just joined the family. I ran across your channel last week and I absolutely love your content. On next Wednesday the 3/27 I will get my micro locs- so excited. I’m trying to follow your journey and I wanted to know. To prep for my locs I’m going to use a clarifying shampoo do I need to go in after with a conditioning shampoo?? I will go back and revisit your previous videos to see if it’s something I missed. Thank you so much for sharing

Welcome Terry! Congrats on starting your loc journey. And yes I would recommend following up with a moisturizing shampoo after the clarifying one to prep for locs. Just no heavy products, oils or conditioners. If you’re going with a loctician, I’m sure everyone has their preferences, but that’s what I would say.

Do the root bulbs ever disappear? They are distinctively white, and I would like to understand how they evolve. Do they eventually fall off?

I’m a year in!! People keep telling me that I’m getting my hair retie to early! But I go every 6weeks do you think that’s to much on my hair

Heyy, 6 weeks is good. By 7 weeks I’m ready for a reti. It also depends on how quickly or slowly your hair grows. But 6 weeks is a perfect amount of time imo.

No because it starts to mat at the roots so more work for the stylist and longer you sit …..just watch how tight they tie them
