I’m getting ready to start my micro lots. I like your advice to 1.) insert the tool through the middle of the loc, 2.) leave a small amount of extra hair in the tool for a faster re-tie, and 3.) to pull up and away from scalp when pulling the loc through. 🙌🏾 Super helpful
You did a very good job both with explaining and retie. I hope one day I would be able to do mines but for now I will keep on watching and learning.❤️❤️Thanks for sharing.
Omg I found this when I needed it! My edges are coming in thick finally after my postpartum shedding!& I just moved& haven’t had luck finding a stylist 😩
I enjoy doing the reties... once i've gotten to the last part of the process. But I definitely need to remember to push the needle down the next time I do it, cuz I'm pretty sure I skipped that step last time.
I know you’re so use to doing your reties but what keeps you motivated to get through them and not give up and comb out or cut them off? I can’t see myself with any other style but diy reties seem so overwhelming.
@@sls4170 If you are going to go the diy route, it is best to do it over the course of a few days. When you get tried or frustrated just stop. Come back to it when you are in a better mind set. Also listen to a good podcast or music while you work on your hair. I hope this helps you. ☺
@@beautifulbrownchick this does help thank you!! Do you have any tips that motivate to get it done faster like I forget who I learned this from, it might have been Josette, but someone suggested retieing the back first since it’s so easy to put it off and the front you’re definitely going to get that done since it’s the first thing people see. I can see me procrastinating 😩
Yes I spread my reti out over 3 days and I watch UA-cam, movies or a show. I always start from the back and move to the front as well. I treat it like self care. I’m caring for my hair so that I can reach the length goals that I want. ☺️
I am trying to learn how to do my own reties. I am so worried I will do it wrong!! Right now I have no loctician because we have parted ways due to various reasons but im considering another because I kinda want it all done in 1 day.
I've been doing micro twist for a while for years and it takes longer to grow because I have to pull it out and there is breakage when my hair is so fine. So I've been leaning towards micro locs for a while. Is there a difference in 4 point and 2 point for the future of the loc?
I do a 3pt although I was established with a 4 pt. I find it easier due to the hand movement and my locks have expanded more in the areas I do 3 pt than where the 4 pt was done
I prefer the finished look as well as how it makes my locs compact and uniform. I break it all down in my video: ua-cam.com/video/ilFN_9Hb13Q/v-deo.htmlsi=GzxLLjxeV9wHW7bZ
Hi Thank you so much, this video is so helpful. I’d like to ask; did you insert your hair into the tool and tied the hair around the tool. I’m just about to go about it and I’m curious cos it looks like my hair is gonna slip out of it. Thanks ma’am.
@Dami_is once you insert your loc into the tool you just go directly into your rotations. You don’t have to tie the tool around the loc that may make it harder to pull it through

🎉I'm getting inspired to do microlock as well ❤

Have you looked on sisterlocs website to find a approved loctition
Thank you for this video, I go to a loctician now but I'm now interested in becoming a loctician myself.
I self-retie but do a 2 point rotation. I love your vidoes❤

Thank you. I currently go get my reties done by someone else, but I want to learn to do my own reties.
Who's here for lovely Merit fan from tiktok ❤❤ wow I love your acting skills Merit 👏 👌 😊

I do a reverse 4 like you ❤ thank you for the tips ✨️ it's been wonderful watching your locs flourish ✨️
Thank you ☺️
Thank you so much ! I’m going into my second month with micro locs but it’s my first retwist or retie 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for this video. I will be attempting my own reties for good.
This video just helped me sooo much! Thank you! 💕
Any tips on parting when maintaining your back locs?
This was helpful for sure
I enjoy this video very educational

Ok I see it takes you more than one day so that’s a bit refreshing for me 😂

Great tips! Thank you both! 🥰
Super helpful. Thank you ✨ I’m doing the 2 point rotation. Currently getting reties by a loctician, but recently started learning how to do it myself.
What tool are you using? . I have the interlocking needle. Thanks for all the good instructions you shared. You alway explain so well. God blessings.
It’s a plastic yarn needle from Amazon. I have the ones I use linked on my Amazon storefront if wanna get the same one. And thank you☺️

I do mine too! Lovely!
Question, the direction you end your rotations dont affect how well each lock lays?
What is the name of your tool? Where can I buy it? I bought the metal one but yours look much easier
Hi! I’m curious is it possible to add more locs in later ? I think I started at around 400 and want more volume
My dear when you twist it becomes bulky I have long ones and I have learnt this
How do I get the hair in the needle easy, I’m having a hard time
Hi love your videos but won't your hair become to heavy in the front after years ? Can you do a video on this please thank you
Thank you for the explaination
💕
I have been going to a loctician but I am hoping to start doing my own interlock. What tool are you using?
How do you know where to enter on your next retie?
Where can I purchase the tool that you have?
I'm watching because I want to start my own reties. I'm nervous lol
You can do it. Just take your time ☺️

You will love microlocs! The 4 point creates a tighter more uniform and cylindrical loc. The 2 point creates a looser, fluffier loc.
Hello Queen how often do you interloc ?
Every 6-8 weeks
How often do you do your reties?
Every 7 weeks
I do a 3pt although I was established with a 4 pt. I find it easier due to the hand movement and my locks have expanded more in the areas I do 3 pt than where the 4 pt was done
❤❤❤❤
What made you go back to 4 point rotation?

Where can we buy the tool
It’s linked on my Amazon storefront! I trim it and shave it down.
Hi
Thank you so much, this video is so helpful.
I’d like to ask; did you insert your hair into the tool and tied the hair around the tool.
I’m just about to go about it and I’m curious cos it looks like my hair is gonna slip out of it.
Thanks ma’am.

@ thank you
Your voice is so demure lol
Haha thank you
