Love how your locs are progressing. I just cut my 248 locs off and I'm starting my second loc journey in a few days. I've preached these 5 points to everyone I know over the past 4 years. Having said that, I've come to understand that there really is a time for everything under the sun. There's a time to experiment and there's a time to focus on healthy hair. Would I bleach my locs at this ripe old age? - No. But of my daughter came home as a teenager and told me she wanted to color her locs fiery red or platinum blonde, I'd support her. I've done almost everything I ever wanted to do with MY hair. It's everyone's right to experiment, make mistakes and then start over. So these days I say - this is what will happen if you do XYZ, but YOLO, so try it and see if you like it. You can always start over.

Thank you! My sister is going through the same hair colouring phase that I went through, but I advised her against bleach. We were able to achieve the red colour she wanted without bleach. I still wouldn’t recommend anyone to bleach their locs. But yes I agree, it’s inevitable that people are going to want to experiment with colour. ☺️

I agree with coloring. Long term it can damage. And permanent color can change the texture of your hair.

I agree with you here, but some people are lucky with color though 😯 but not everyone can escape the negative effect of dye & bleaching.

Yes love, one should not use any oil but the light ones. I'm also cannot do without oiling my scalp it will become dry and flakey. You just have to know what works for you. Thanks love, I enjoyed today's video.

Since I got locs, I don't even use oil, just water. I never thought I would be ok with that. When I had my hair natural without locs, I would use a lot of products. First one month was the hardest, and now my scalp adjusted.

The problem is the oil . Stop using oil on your scalp . You don’t need oil . My scalp was doing the same thing . I just spray moisturizer . Mane choice has two good spray moisturizer they sell at Sally’s one is blue the other is purple . It provides instant moisture.. get u some .

You cannot use a essential oil directly on your skin. It must always be diluted into a carrier oil like jojoba oil, almond oil or grapessed oil.
