What an absolutely great and entertaining video! I know you want to take a stab at helping solve the eyes... Just think of how interesting it would be, lol. Thanks for the mention!
DUDE! I'd be lost without you! The problem with solving the eyes is that people way smarter than me are already stumped, but I waNNA KNOW THEIR SECRETS SO BAD!
Thanks so much for the amazing content (Noita and otherwise). This video wouldn't have been possible without your influence on the community. And thank you for giving me permission to use your content a while back (if you remember lol). There was zero chance of me reaching the cauldron room and staying sane.

This should be the official ad for noita.
You are not immune to propaganda
Nah, this is way better for veterans.
Hey man, your videos are incredible. They're well written, funny, have great pacing and editing, among a bunch of other things. Keep up the great work and thank you!
Got me to buy it lol
a bit too muc spoiler for an ad, but it's a great video.
man. watching him talk about a god run reminds me of a dnd wizard quote, "the only difference between me and godhood is an eight hour rest" -lvl 9 wizard
Welllll, I'm stealing that quote, thanks.
"You are as skilled as my information lead me to believe. I must admit, I too have a passion for the arcane arts... even moreso than others of my kind.
I am curious, however...what would happen if we turned the magic off?"
[ANTIMAGIC FIELD]
"Fascinating. It appears you cease to be a mighty wizard and become a fragile pointy-eared monkey. While I?
I am still a dragon."
- Order of the Stick
I mean as a simple example, I'm on a run right now where I click on things (through walls? Sure, doesn't matter) and they just die, meanwhile I'm effectively unkillable and have been amusing myself by tunneling randomly through the earth and finding areas and quests and bosses I never knew about.
Only thing is I missed picking up a boss perk because it died somewhere offscreen and I never actually found the body, since I had to spend like 10 minutes playing tag with its minions that seem to be immune to most everything, swapping out spells while being shot until I found a combo that would work. Oh well, next time I guess.
"We're on Made in Abyss Rules"
and that sentence right there explains so much in one little quip
I was like, "There's a small subset of people who will be utterly horrified by that line but will instantly understand the danger of an ascent."
The ultimate Mr. Incredible "If you know you know" meme.
@@JamesJames-li2wvquip is a word
@@JamesJames-li2wvman, look it up. Quip with a Q is ALSO a word. And it is the correct word for the way it was used. You're picking at this for no reason.
It really does. Whenever I hear Made in Abyss, it just triggers "Ah shit, here we go again" in my head.
It's right below "I. Hear. A. Sound." for me.
"drinking the transition juice in noita is about the same as doing it in Florida because our chances of survival just plummeted" 🤣😂😭😭 too real ._.

The average Noita run tends to end once you have decided you have killed god in enough universes
But then the only god left is yourself 👀
The average noita run ends by catching a stray magic bolt or touching a pixel of polyjuice
@@connorconquers that's why you end it, you would be killing every god in that timeline
Funny, my runs end two to three zones deep, I fuckin suck at this game
@@connorconquers There is only one god. I made sure of it.
That tablet is one of the greatest trolls I've ever come across in a video game.

Oh sweet summer child!😂
There is the whole map. Yes, that's quite a bit more than the biomes you need to traverse. Then there are the parallel worlds, 512 to the east and 512 to the west. Oh, and this game also does New Game Plus.

You know you have too many hours in Noita when you recognize that the really complex wand example was a parallel world travel wand.
Excellent video as always!
They have to be the most batshit kind of wand. I have no idea how someone figured that out. "Watch as I shift reality using a deer."
and the fact that there are some based on swapping with an animal, some using the new inner spell, some casting a projectile that casts another one back at you. the fact there are more completely different ways of doing the most insane thing is most mind boggling to me.

My feelings on death by poly change based on how recently it's happened to me. The longer its been the more I like it. Then it happens and I uninstall the game for a month.
@@connorconquers god exactly. it's necessary balance wise, but i wish there were at least some kind of counter play you could do to reduce it when you're in the sky work. can't even see those goddamn pixels most of the time, and it's the worst feeling when you open a chest to find a nice little chaotic poly flask just waiting to burst all over you and ruin your good start
@@umbra4540 I don't go to the skywork unless I have to. Hell is so much safer if I'm looking for high tier spells. Some counter play would be nice but then this wouldn't be Noita.
@@connorconquers true enough. i only go up there if im doing a sun quest, but poly juice is still tricky outside of the sky work
(Mild spoilers)
The only “counterplay” I know of involves getting lucky with a fungal shift turning all polymorphine in the world into some other substance or by consuming the flesh of a polymorph mage (which is extremely tedious and ineffective if you want it to last for a long time)

Amazing video, Connor, truly.
lol I'm trying really hard to carve out my own style but I think we'll always be close style-wise since a lot of his writing structure is just straight up best practices. I do feel kinda bad because I borrowed so much from Sseth for my Oxygen Not Included video. I wasn't comfortable with my own narration at that time and basically stole his speaking initiations. It's still an honor to be compared to one of my inspirations though.
@@connorconquers There's not a doubt in my mind that you'll eventually arrive at a style that's comfortably your own. Ssethian, but also clearly distinguishable from him. Will just take time and practice. I'm really glad that I was playing ONI and looking up ONI videos around the time you uploaded your guide. One of my best subs on UA-cam, hands down. 'Yeah I can make a Geneva Convention violation with a couple bubbles' has been living rent-free in my head for a while now because it's too true. I think of it every time I start wand crafting in the early game lol.
Good to see more attention being paid to this under represented gem of a game! Also, 'Return to Monke' is my new name for homing stone wands. Another favorite of mine is Fireball Orbit + Triplicate Bolt. Put this on a high-rate wand and it become "Delete everything in front of me" very quickly.
That's one of my favorites also but I didn't want to talk about orbit spells because I wanted people to be surprised by the Dragon. Orbit + Triplicate Bolt has saved so many of my runs.
"Delete that direction"

I swear your ability to show off the strength of games is unmatched
It's easy when the games are amazing.
My first perk I ever got was the one that let me tinker anywhere. I could feel my luck disintegrating by the nanosecond.
This is the most perfect video to encapsulate the full Noita experience in 22 minutes. I'm thouroughly amazed. Definitely the best guide to Noita!
There's so much I wanted to cover but felt it would be too overwhelming or complicated. I'm hoping I left enough surprises for people who decide to pick up the game.
19:50 "there is absolutely no way the homing mist could ever backfire"
My literal thoughts before discovering poly made you targetable. See also: piercing.
After 500+ hours of Noita, I can confidently say I'm still a beginner 🤣
That was a really excellent video. The way you presented the Lava Lake really captured the self-paced reward (and pain) of exploring Noita's universe.
To everyone else, there's still loads of moments like that to discover and experience.
It seemed like the perfect thing to fixate on since it really captured everything this game is about. And it's crazy how after so many hours there is still do much to discover. I'm still finding new stuff out all the time.
The first time I crossed the lava and saw the bridge, I was still spoiler-free. My first thought was "If I cross this bridge, I am 100% certain I will die. Welp. Guess I better find out WHY I die."
Then I died.

Now the scary thing is...imagine this game but in 3D, and it's basically Elden Ring, but everything kills you, probably even your own weapons.
It would take SO MUCH work to pull it off, but a Noita 2 that succeeds its transition as hard as Risk of Rain 2 or Helldivers 2 would be insane.
I don’t even think a computer could handle that. Noita already had its freak outs with its simple graphics. Simulating every pixel on a 3D scale would be…. Insane.
@@CatLover-gk8uu bro, imagine how crazy it would be seeing the sand and snow shift as you move through it in 3d. That would be so cool and probably cause your PC to implode on itself and/or gain sentience and throttle you.

I was like that with Albino's video lol. Glad you're sticking it out, king.
The only true extent of Noita being how much your computer can handle reminds me of a bit of Warhammer lore where Lord Kroak was firing so many spells out of his froggy ass that time started to stop as reality itself started to lag.
Thank you so much for putting in an effort to make this really entertaining. There's so many super dry videos out there, good to have one that feels like it was made by a human being with emotions and humor.
Love your content, and hope to see more! but also albino called at 15:00 and wanted his joke back
Thank you! Also I'm pretty sure I've heard a few people call wand connoisseur squidward? Maybe he started it? No intention to steal a joke, I've been calling him that for a while now lol
underrated channel, how do you only have 5k subs with this kind of quality??
The algorithm is just doin' its thing, I guess? The comment helps though!
This encapsulates my experience with the game so well! It just keeps getting crazier, bigger, more complex, and more full of WTF the deeper (and not so deeper) you go. I admit that I am not a good enough gamer to actually survive the early game very often, so I eventually gave up and backed up my save file every now and then so I could really explore... But my god did I love the exploration and tinkering!
Even after 110 hours, I think I have like... 2 of the achievements on the pillars. XD Thanks for the excellently made video (and nostalgia)!
I hope this video gets picked up by the algorithm because it is BEAUTIFULLY MADE. Love the comedy, love the editing, pacing, explanation, familiarity with the game, etc etc etc. Your passion really shows and I hope you get what you deserve (many many views and subscribers) : )
Thank you so much! This one was a blast to make. I'm also finally getting comfortable with my narration voice lol
The video format is definetely a recipe for success. It gives deeper and deeper insights in to the game and just when you think it's done, there comes "but wait, there's more!" moment. Can see this really taking of if you manage to keep pulling of such quality content.
Thanks! I had a few ahha moments when it came to scripting this one that I wanna try to carry forward.
"The learning curve is more of a learning cliff" is....yes.
Also, "Since there's is only one way forward" was the kind of thing I told my friends when they picked up this game.
On that note, gonna go ahead and watch all of your videos. Mwah
Hehe, a little lying is key to selling the Noita experience.
Also, regarding immunity, even then it's only temporary, isn't it? I wasn't sure and I didn't wanna say anything "too false" so I just left it at that.

I wonder if it's just a coincidence that both this and "Fear and Hunger" have Finnish devs... hmmmm...
Thank you! I so glad you liked it! I really had a blast writing the script for this.
Also, yeah, I dunno what's going on with Finnish game devs but I don't ever want them to stop cooking.
My favorite thing about this video is watching it once, buying Noita, playing it, getting confused so you watch it again, play more Noita, squeeze out a win after 90 runs, eventually watching this video again, and STILL getting helpful info that you didn't understand before, and it gets funnier and every time you watch it too. Can't wait to get a god run then watch this again to relate better.

Really good video man, I liked so much the meme selection and the cleverness of some phrases that end in something ironic.
I had the makings of a god run, did a funny trick with the mages to end up with 5k health and infinite healing, and a variety of wands to delete everything in sight. While focused down a corridor, I didn't notice that within the mess of particles in the other direction was the purple orb projectile from the big floating fellow called a shapechanger. It chaotically polymorphed me. Of all the hiisi, ghosts, robots, worms, and other menaces it could have turned me into... I became a fish, and drowned in a puddle of oil.

This is the best introduction to noita I ever seen 😂😂😂 Never seen a more accurate description of what is noita then what you see/hear in the beginning of this video.
Wow you earned my sub and then some.
The writing of this Video Essay Review Guide Educational Shitpost(?) rivals LazyPurple's "How it feels to play..." series and has a familiar vibe of max0r's videos and I promise you that is one of the biggest compliments I can give to any single piece of media on this platform.
There's an incredible understanding of pace on display and the editing is equally as impressive because it isn't "tame", it's still wild when it fits, but there's an incredible amount of patience and restraint demonstrated throughout the whole runtime. You could have gone full montage with the game clips and the whacky shenanigans but you reigned it in and that let Noita's more intense moments shine so much brighter when you decide to demonstrate how deranged it can get.
Splitting the video into chapters that parallel the flowchart of [Discovering Noita] and putting spoiler warnings also does a lot for people only now finding out about the game and giving them fair warnings on how deep the game goes but still keeping up the pace by not lingering on the titles and warnings.
I could gush more, but I'm at work so I'll wrap it up.
In general I wish more reviews are made this way in the future, whether by you or other people, because even as someone familiar with Noita, this was a joy to watch and despite treading old ground it was entertaining throughout and I never felt compelled to just wander off and watch something else.

I plan to! In fact I'm hoping to release a "guide" to Factorio in a few weeks. Thanks for the kind words.
I really regret that you don’t have more videos! Your takes makes sense and you are genuinely funny this is rare talent 🔥
I'm workin' on it. Trying to be more serious with the channel this year. New Years resolution and all that jazz. Hopefully my next one won't take 5+ months lol
Honestly I only play nightmare mode these days. For how much easier it is to die, the zero-to-overpowered route is that much faster too.
Starting with Tinker is great but I just get Noita'd too much to stomach it.
yooo this is sick
Thank you!
Having never played before, what broke me was the fact you could GO PAST the cursed rock to find an entirely new world.
It's crazy cuz the first time you zoom the map out (I didn't even show all of it) you're like, "wow this game is crazy!" And then the game goes, "Oh you thought, eh?"
I have watched so much noita content and I had no idea that the mountain was less than a quarter of the world
Yeah, unless you know EXACTLY what you're doing its so hard to break into the main world.
ok im buying it now >:(
Have played this game for 3 years, didn’t know about 90% of this shit and have never beaten it…
Honestly insane how easy it is to miss most of the game and still be totally happy with your experience.
Based on the title I was not expecting one of the best ads for Noita ever.
I just got this game and the sheer amount of things to discover is what made me do it. I loved the thought that I can just try something random and be rewarded or killed
This is the right attitude for maximum enjoyment of this game.
This goes hard
So does this comment
