Hey I just turned 57 yrs but young at heart and want to be a travel youtuber with my husband. So far I've only gotten to IG reels but till definitely pursue my youtube channel.
Agreed! Just turned 39 and I have been putting off my channel for far too long. Great reminder. Thank you! 😻 Sending Postive Vibes from the Mile High! 🌄
I'm 43 and I started my UA-cam a year and a half ago too. I've had to work through a lot of insecurities. I think there is a rising number of us which is so nice because I really don't want to watch some 20 year old on here. I want to watch people my age. :)
This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my UA-cam channel 8 months ago about self development. Now I have 956 subs and > 800 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.
@@MikeeRogers Whoever you are, I don't know you personally but I can say that you're one of the non-judgmental and open-minded people who is not fixated on tangible or external factors in order to learn from someone like me. Just because someone doesn't have a piece of paper as a credential, doesn't mean that person is not entitled to share personal experiences with the hope & intention to inspire others. Keep up with whatever it is that you're doing to improve mankind or improving your life even to a slight degree each day. This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my UA-cam channel about holistic health. I literally could have died back when I was 14 years old due to major depression but here I am right now replying to you, a UA-camr, who's full of fulfillment and dedication to help others to be a better version of themselves. I ain't better than anyone else but my old self. That's all that really makes this UA-cam thing more meaningful and enjoyable. Thanks so much for your support! I am hoping that you can join me with this endless personal development journey! :)
@@Xcep178Coplk-yz3ch Thank you! What I really focus on is the value of the content and what I’m truly passionate about while helping others! I'm glad that I'm foolish enough to believe that I can actually start making money through my passions. I've never thought that I'd able to gain 1K subs faster. I can't imagine how many opportunities could have been wasted if I didn't have courage to go after them. That includes having this channel, being in a management role, having the people who actually care about me for who I am, freelance gigs, being an ambassador in a creative community and now I'm also planning on honing my public speaking skills through joining a toastmaster club and these all happened this year. It started with writing them all down on a piece of paper. A paper that serves as a reminder for me to go after what I want even through hard times. I'm not bragging about my accomplishments but simply hoping that this message can also inspire others to believe in themselves.
I just wanted to say thank you for making this video. As an introverted 35-year-old woman, I experience a lot of self-doubt when making videos. "I'm not young enough," "I'm not good enough," "Who cares" etc. And this video spoke directly to my heart.
Aww thank you for commenting and sharing. I'll be honest, those thoughts still creep up here and there but what they won't do is keep me from trying. All the best!
This popped up in my feed randomly. I’m going through the same thing. I just turned 35 and I’m very hesitant to start vlogging. But I want to do it to accept myself more as a person and try and explore and find new things and be a bit more creative again. Thanks for sharing this video! 😭💕 this resonated so much
Hi there! So glad this resonated and spoke to you. Fear is growth too so don't be too afraid to put yourself out there. You'll learn things about yourself, which I think was the best thing to happen to me. It's definitely also been an amazing creative outlet. And in the end, if it's just not for you, at least you tried and you won't be stuck with that dreaded question, "what if?" - wishing you the best in your journey of self discovery! 🫶🏼
Also, speaking of being present to your life… I’ve seen video creators say, too, that documenting your life shows YOU yourself that your life is worth paying attention to. Picking up my camera tends to make me notice more the beauty all around me 🥲 and at the end of our life, what we pay attention to will determine the quality of it. Sending us all courage in our 35+ creator journey!! 😍😍 - ché
Im 37, I have been on youtube for awhile BUT recently I started a 100 vlogs in 100 days challenge, it was a great adventure and creative outlet. I highly recommend trying a challenge like that even if its for 30 days or 60 days.
Man same thing for me. I just recently turned 35. I make videos but still I was thinking about making changes that I feel can make the channel better. I want it to be more real and transparent for the audience.
“Who’s gonna watch a 35 year old nobody?” Hit me really hard coz that’s exactly how I see myself right now. But I haven’t given up finding those that might appreciate my silent vlogs that might be boring to most lol thanks so much for this video! Really needed to hear some encouragement 💕
I notice a lot of people have gone through the same feelings… I watched a fitness creator on UA-cam that only had 100k when I first started watching her. She now has 4million subscribers, but she said,” the first three years she didn’t get paid and nobody really subscribed to her channel.”… I believe we all can and will succeed if we don’t give up, and remain consistent. There will always be someone out there that will enjoy watching our content. 🩵😊 Best wishes
I’ve been wanting to do UA-cam since I was 18, maybe even a little earlier but life always got in the way. It’s crazy because I’m now 29 and it’s still in the back of my head but I’m at the point in life where it’s hard to find time to make videos. I’m going to try to film this year, I still have my gear, all I have to find is time to go out and shoot and have fun. I honestly miss editing, it can be stressful at times but every time I would edit a video I would always learn something. Thanks for the video! I was reading the comments and it seems like a lot of people are in a similar situation
Crazy how time can seemingly fly in an instant. This is your sign to not let another 10 years pass by without doing what you want to do whether that's UA-cam or any other venture. Live with less regrets even if that means more failures.
It’s funny how the algorithm just knows what you need! This just showed up in my feed and it was so nice and comforting to hear your journey and perspective! I’m in a similar boat and often wonder if doing this is “worth it”… but even without a ton of subscribers I still just love making content. Thank you!
I find that so important, loving the process of it, because if at the end, all this was just some kind of journal or footprint on the internet- at least we had fun! Wishing you all the best!
thats amazing! for me the growth has been so slow i am only at 42 and dont get any views either, im trying not to quit but its hard after spending so much time and not seeing any great results i just want to make it to 1000 😭. however i am grateful to have gotten to this point of even making a channel because i have always wanted one and i did get the confidence to make it and do something for myself
Thank you for your transparency! Sept 1st was my first post on my UA-cam journey. I’m a 38yr old, single mom who is extremely introverted. I’ve always wanted to start my channel & it’s been so scary, but I’m still posting weekly. This video came at the right time. So many times I’ve wanted to quit bc I feel like I suck😂 but it really keeps pushing me out of my comfort zone, one post at a time. This video is everything that I want for myself & the reason I started in the first place. Thank you for being you!❤❤
Aww thank you sm for sharing your story. It's exactly where I was when I started and I still get to that head space at times (like right now with this small amount of attention this video has gotten, I'm terrified to created content now lol). And don't worry about feeling like you suck - I still do lmao but hey, as long as we keep growing and learning, that's a win 🫶🏼
I’m 35 and this randomly showed up in my feed. I definitely needed to see this! I’ve been saying I want to try vlogging for the past two years. Thank you for sharing your journey!
Randomly stumbled across this video and really enjoyed it. Totally agree with you, when it comes to UA-cam (or similar creative outlets), you just need to go for it! Creating is fun, you learn heaps, make friends and as a bonus you may earn some money along the way. Best wishes.
Thank you for this! You pretty much told my story from 30 to 41 now. My 40th birthday I vowed that I would never work a job again unless I was passionate for it. I then went on a trip with my ebike 600 miles up the California coast feeding the homless and picking up trash. Thanks again and keep up the Beautiful Work!
Well done Mikee! I started my channel seriously last year in December as a 37 year old. I am one year old on UA-cam now, and will be turning 38 in a week plus, I now have over 700 subbies and thousands of views! It may not be much but I am very grateful for this platform because I was so much in doubt when I started because of my age when I started but I think we all have a space here as long as it’s what we want to do and I’m grateful for this space! WellDone 🎉🎉🎉
Grand Rising Mikee! Love love love me some Mikee! Your calm voice is everything! This video is one of your best! Your growth and confidence is amazing! So proud of you❤❤❤ Very talented! You were always Somebody❤ we Celebrate you! Yay!!!!!🎉🎉🎉
Mina! It's people like you that have really helped in my UA-cam Journey. Now that I think about it, I totally failed to elaborate on my small loving community I've made on here. All yall's supportive comments have really made a huge difference in sticking with this journey and truly helping making it enjoyable. While I say that I first and foremost do it for myself, I'd be crazy not to think my community plays a huge role in all this 🤎
I'm incredibly grateful that the UA-cam algorithm led me to your video. As a fellow 40-year-old introverted dad, I've long toyed with the idea of starting my own vlog channel, yet hesitated due to a daunting fear of speaking on camera. However, your video has sparked a new sense of inspiration in me, nudging me towards embracing a transition to create content that ignites my passion. The point you made about our photos and videos languishing unseen in digital clouds resonated deeply with me. I, too, often find myself capturing countless moments during family outings with the hope of weaving them into a memorable vlog, only to leave them untouched. Your video has been a true eye-opener and a source of motivation. Heartfelt thanks for sharing your journey and inspiring mine!
Thanks so much for sharing your story. Those digital files deserve a space on here even if in the end, it's just for you and your loved ones. Wishing you all the best!
I turned 22 this week, and I uploaded my first video on my channel today! (not on this channel) I found your video at the right time, I was really anxious, feeling bad, and your words of courage really helped me! A hug from your new Brazilian fan! ❤️
Hi there, glad you took that leap and happy I was a small part in helping with that push. Happy belated birthday btw! Enjoy your 20s, it's a special era 🫶🏼
COMPARISON SYNDROME and IMPOSTER SYNDROME IS FOR REALLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! love your vulnerability and come up! thank you for sharing and hopefully this'll boost me to doing a vlog for my family
You got that right... currently in an imposter syndrome phase with this small amount of attention this video has gotten. But imma work through it but damn - I do not want to record right now lol. Best of luck to you! And get that family Vlog up!
My channel is much smaller than yours, but it has been such a great experience for me personally. Like you said, that's the #1 reason to start a channel. Thanks for sharing your journey.
🩷🩷🩷 so inspiring. I’m 30, suffering from imposter syndrome, and also Filipino! This video was so real and relatable and is making it seem way less scary to start. Thank you so much!!
I’m turning 40 on Sunday ! And whoa you spoke to me ! I have been recording on my camera and not posting . Thank you for motivating me. You are very inspiring!
This came right on time for me. Was feeling a bit discouraged about continuing with my channel because it hasn't shown any traction. But making content does so much for me. The aspect of seeing yourself from 3rd person makes so much sense and you learn a lot about yourself. Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤
Glad you agree about seeing ourselves from another perspective. Feeling discouraged seems to be a natural occurrence, at least I've definitely felt that during my time on YT. We just have to make it a point to still enjoy it. Wishing you the best!
After reviewing your UA-cam channel, it appears that the challenge might be associated with your thumbnails. From an external perspective, I find it challenging to understand why I should click on your videos. The thumbnails do not clearly communicate what I stand to gain or learn. For instance, in your ADHD video, the title mentions ADHD, but the thumbnail emphasizes a new fresh schedule. As a viewer, I'm uncertain about how this schedule will benefit me. To enhance viewer engagement, consider adding emotions to your thumbnails, such as "new schedule to reduce frustration, overwhelm, and anxiety linked to ADHD." Please note that this feedback is intended to be constructive, not rude-it's aimed at helping you improve. How about this title : "Unlock Calm: ADHD Relief Schedule"
Hey, as a nobody creator. I know how much 1 comment means to us. So I think I wanna stop bu and say hi, great video, lots of motivation also great voice. Keep it up and keep on going dude! You doing great!
9:17 I felt that man! I wish i had started my channel 10 years ago haha. That being said I started when I did and that's what is important. I will say to those who see this you have to know going in that UA-cam is a very solitary journey when you start out (it is for everyone) so you really have to be passionate about the content you make or else you will drop off. Rest assured good things will come though, I'm getting sponsor requests and brand deals that I never would have imagined with only 2k subs and have started collaborating with other youtubers too. Great video Mike, this was something that helped me today as it gave me some motivation to go film my next vid. I actually looked at my first vid and oh my 😂 we all have to start somewhere loll.
Thanks for sharing and couldn't agree more about it being a solitary start, well said! And I think in that solitude, you learn so much about yourself along with resilience lol. Congrats on the sponsorships and manifesting more come your way! And don't get me started about looking back at beginning videos - that's why I only included a few seconds of my first Vlog 😂😂
Haha, 1% better every video is the best way to approach it. Congrats to you too for getting deals with cool companies here before this vid blows up! You have a very relatable presence on camera 🙌@@MikeeRogers
OMG I just started my channel that I too have procrastinated on doing. I totally feel you when you say you spend time with yourself. Its so invigorating and I now have found something that truly gives me a sense of purpose and makes me so happy, even though I am only 72 subscribers who are mostly my friends and family :)! Its so wonderful watching your video. I do hope some day I can share a video about how UA-cam changed my life. Thank you for your content and know I truly love your video.
Another awesome inspiring video. Almost at 900 subs, and as my own channel journey begins to grow, I enjoy coming across other channels and watching other lives changed. Keep up the great work !!!
Woah I had to pause the video when you said “it’s empowering to know you’re the main character in your own story” because wowow I’ve somehow never really thought of it like this and I love this perspective. Thank you for sharing this journey with us 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
We all get there…I am also excited hitting 40s soon, if I’ll be single, I will still embraceed it and loving life…thats how Life should be it…got inspired on this💪🙏
Hi! I’m so happy your video popped up in my feed. I feel you. I’m a small creator that put off content creation for over 4 years. I finally started last year but took it serious this year. Just wanted to say thank you for your video and wise words! Incredibly helpful, and what I needed. I appreciate you and wish you so much success 😊
Love this video and your transparency. Thank you for sharing. I am 40+. I live in the U.S. but was born in Asia, speaking with an accent, and am an introvert at heart, but I was sick of limiting myself. I decided to break free and started my rose growing UA-cam channels 2 years ago. Although seeing a slow growth on my channel, I am so proud to consistently overcome my daily limiting beliefs and continue even when I feel scared/unsure.
I needed that last bit of choosing to be happy instead of sad today thank you. Also thank you, I am 30 and I have had te same thought process as you when it comes to videos, thinking who would watch my content, when a lot of other channels out there are putting out the best pieces ever.
I say that at the end of my videos because I truly believe when we're in a position where we could choose, we should always choose happy whatever that might look like for that day, so glad you were able to choose happy 😊 - and regarding content, especially in the beginning stages, don't stress on it. Use that first year to grow as a creator and person. Wishing you the best!
Hi Mike, First of all, thank you for taking your time to share this video. This couldn’t have come at a better time. I just turned 40, and resonated with everything you shared (self love, imposter syndrome, etc) I have been putting of sharing my videos because I fear the judgement, the criticisms, and the self doubt. Thank you for the inspiration, brother. I appreciate you. I wish you much blessings and happiness in everything that you do. Love and Light.
Appreciate you taking the time to share a little of your story. I had all those same feelings, still do sometimes, but I am still enjoying the process and having fun and the rest is just icing.
Ah, this is so good. I thought about starting a channel.... years ago. I started it up in 2019, life got crazy, and here we are in 2023, and I am committing to my UA-cam channel. Already with just 43 subs, I have received 3 different products from one company for free, in exchange for a video review. Thank you for sharing your story. I just turned 30 and I thought that I was too old, and too late to the game.
Love this! As a 43-year-old thinking of finally starting a channel (after years of procrastinating and talking myself out of it) this was right on time ❤
So glad your video popped up! Thank you for the encouragement ☺️ 43 year old UA-camr here! Just working on consistency and finding what I like to post :) Right now just doing it for the enjoyment, and as another creative way to connect with others.
What a lovely video! Thank you for sharing! As a fellow introvert (think hermit status) who has been trying to build my channel for years, it's amazing how much self doubt can keep you back from truly living. I'm turning 30 in two days and I feel like I've hit this point where I'm thinking, "Why am I doing this to myself? Why do I feel the need to hide who I really am? What am I really afraid of?" I know that my channel will take off eventually, and as much as I wish that I had started earlier, it's never too late. We're all on our own journeys and the road looks different for everyone. Wishing you the best! ❤️
Thank you for sharing your story and yes, definitely never too late. There will always be bumps along the way of any journey but as long as the path we take is worth it, thats all that matters. All the best to you as well!
I started my YT channel last year at 34, and definitely felt too old, but I just love seeing creators believing in themselves! Fantastic message and thanks for all the encouragement. Keep up the great content. :)
Mikee I just discovered this video on my feed. I clicked because I’ve been wanting to create more content, and have had the exact thoughts as you of impostor syndrome and being 35+ as a creator. I took a video creator course led by Rachel Nguyen (thatschic) and Jenn Im and they both, around our age, confirmed the need for more 30+ year old creators. That really opened my eyes to how many more experiences we can share! Anyway, excited to finish the video but just wanna know this resonates! 1:36
Hi there! I love Jenn Im and love that she mentioned we need more older creators on here because I feel we have stories to tell. Or even if to just relate with similar people our age.
Thank you so much for sharing your journey! Your video appeared in my feed and I know that happened for a reason. I'm 47 and have pushed off creating a channel for my nutrition coaching business year after year for various reasons. Your video is super encouraging and another sign to "just do it, just get started." I'm so happy your journey has been such a wonderful experience. Thank you for sharing it. You've gained a new inspired subscriber in me! 💫🌟💫
Hi Criss, thanks for taking the time to comment and share - you should definitely go for it especially since nutrition is such an important topic for any age! Wishing you all the best in your YT journey!
Honestly well done for not letting those inner thoughts stop you! I relate to this so much. I’m turning 31 in a few days and after over 10 years of putting off uploading to UA-cam and doubting myself I finally uploaded my first video earlier this month and now I already have 4 videos on my channel. Regardless of views and subsricbers I honestly feel the more you upload the easier it gets and the quieter those inner doubts become. Thank you for sharing your story and being an inspiration to many people of all ages! Glad to see you reaping the benefits of pursuing a passion, great video 👏🏻😊
Hi Leighton, totally agree - the more you post the easier it gets and you then get to begin to figure out what this journey means for you. Don't stress too much during the beginning phase, take the time to just explore and learn. Happy early bday and looking forward to checking out some of your videos!
I totally agree! I remember when I was starting on youTube around 2015 or something like this. It took me like a year to hit that record button. Then stepping over the fear of recording first my voice without my face, then talking and showing myself I was so scared that time, the experience of showing yourself was just out of this planet for me. I'm still far from being really ME on the camera but I'm way better then I was in 2015. It's challenging but its fun in some way :) its funny how simple talking to camera can help you slowly to build confidence in life as well :)
It took me awhile to get over the sound of hearing my voice lol. One day, out of nowhere, it just stopped sounded weird to me 😂 And I'm like you, I still struggle being 100% comfortable in front of the camera. Hoping one day it will be the same and out of nowhere, it will be like nothing
Your video came up on my homepage and so glad it did! I really enjoyed "meeting" you and going with you on your journey. I relate to delaying the start of a channel as I also delayed. And I was having feelings of "who's going to watch?" and "who's gonna care?" especially as I too was 40. I totally relate to that feeling. Thank you for being so vulnerable and sharing. This one really hits home. And P.S. you are somebody...back then you were and now you are too. Keep going, keep crushing! Aloha! 🤙🏾
Dwayne! Appreciate your comment sm! Can't wait to check out your videos, I glanced at one quickly (as im trying to do with everyone commenting) and you're such a natural on camera. Looking forward to getting to know you through your videos and watching your channel grow!
@@MikeeRogers Awww, for sure! 🙏🏾I really enjoyed what you shared. It's very kind of you to take a glance! Not at all necessary, but greatly appreciated. ❤ Don't burn yourself out. And I appreciate the feedback and the kind words. The more I do it, the easier it becomes. THANK GOODNESS! lol. I look forward to watching more of your channel and seeing it continue to grow as well! Keep going! 💪🏾😎
Wow. This is really awesome. I am a 49-year-old film maker, and it's hard to find people in my age group who are doing creative stuff as well. Most of my life was wasted, but now I am starting to do what I always wanted with my life, and it's great that you are too, and I wish you all the success in the world.
I'm glad UA-cam recommended this video to me. I'm also a Filipino living in San Diego :) I'm in my mid-30s and have been on UA-cam since 2014, and it has changed my life as well. The community you build on this platform is so genuine! Thank you for sharing your experience and showing that it's never too late to start something you love. I believe that your life truly starts to unfold after your 30s. I love your energy ✨Keep it up Mikee!
Thank you Mikee! Impostor Syndrome is huge and I can tell you that you weren't the only who have gone through it. I haven't started anything but for about 2 years I have put everything on hold. I am now 32. One thing that inspired me though that it's more for myself than any other people. There's of course a huge demographic out there who would say that "This is just for clout" but I say that it isn't it's about immortalizing your memories. They can watch it or not and we shouldn't care, what's important is that we can see it somewhere and that some day in the near future someone will get inspired by it and continue their journey.
Listening to you talk about imposter syndrome and being an introvert is like observing my own reflection. I relate to everything you describe, albeit being a few years older 😂. What inspired me to start my UA-cam channel was reading the book "Everything is Figureoutable" by Marie Forleo. It motivated me to take action instead of waiting for the perfect timing, ideal circumstances, and all the other excuses. I highly recommend this book for those who are still waiting on the sidelines.
I'm glad this landed on my home page. I recently started my UA-cam channel and honestly it's so hard to be confident and share a part of myself. I'm a bit scared of being seen and i cringe from watching myself. This was so motivational for me. Thank you ❤
Don't worry, it definitely gets easier the more you do it. But honestly, I still be cringing at my self 😂 Just make sure to find some job in the process and don't be so hard on yourself. Wishing you all the best!
Gained so much confidence watching this for starting my own YT channel. Been contemplating for years, but I always end up overthinking everything. Lighting , equipment, background, microphone, editing software.... I'm like, I only got an Android phone. Well, I guess it will do for now. Thank you for making this video!
This video popped in my feed when I needed it the most. Thank you for having the courage to share your story. I feel a bit less ashamed about taking so long to start this passion in my life and feel encouraged to finally take the leap and start my channel. Thank you 😊
Sometimes the algorithm works in mysterious ways but I'm glad in this instance, I was able to help you in some small way to start your journey. There's no day but today ☺️
Lovely video. I’m 43 and I have been chugging along at UA-cam for years and now that I am finally seeing growth I am constantly second doubting myself and telling myself I am too old for this.
Take it from a 42 year old vlogger trying to break into a niche that has been dominated by 20 year olds, I know all too well those thoughts. But that's just what they are, thoughts. Self doubting thoughts. As long as you're still enjoying the process, keep going, your content is top notch!
this video was incredible. I am constantly amazed by your storytelling and production quality. can’t wait to see you continue to grow, thank you for sharing your story so openly ❤
Wow... I feel like i just watched myself! I've been filming myself for years bouncing between travel and lifestlye but never uploaded anything. Thanks for sharing your story
Go, post those content. You never know who you might help. Besides there are people less privileged waiting to live vicariously through you. If that is a purpose assigned, it is worth fulfilling
I really enjoyed watching this video! This was motivating for many small creators like me. Doing the first step is always the hardest part and, after that, I believe that hard work will eventually always pay off. Well done and well deserved! I am sure your channel will continue growing a lot! 🎉
Love this. Just the inspiration I needed. Started my UA-cam channel a few years ago and only have 31 subscribers. Time for me to have fun with more videos. Thank you and look forward to enjoying more of your content as a new subscriber. Picking Happy for today!!!
Love this!!!! ❤ How lucky am I to be an actual real life friend of yours? 🥹🫶🏼 So so very proud of your growth and journey.. not just as a UA-camr but as a beautiful human being. ✨👏🏽 Excited for us to make more memories together in different cities all over the world! Love you bff! 🥰🤍
Really inspiring video man, I hope to be like you one day. I have been doing UA-cam Shorts last six months, and what helped me the most was that I found out that you can give your videos (even the long ones) the initial dose of views and likes (I am mostly using a little bit of famester for this, just because I think it's really great service and I never had any problems with it). This way you are always one step ahead of the algorithm.
I’m 60 and can completely relate. One correction, you were never a nobody. You have a soothing, on camera presence and voice. Thank you for being an example of what’s possible.
Rare that I watch a video thru but I did because I love your authenticity. I'm not sure if you were teaching, sharing or just chatting but I'm walking away feeling I just had coffee with a friend. Thank you!
Hi love this! Thanks for sharing, definitely love the feel of "hanging out" with creators so it's so nice to hear you got that vibe from this video 🫶🏼🤎
Turned 40 in July this year. I can relate completely with you. I'm not an extrovert but wouldn't categorise myself as an introvert as well. I prefer being on my own most of the time. Quit my IT consulting job. Hated it. I have my own place, decent bank balance so I am not worried on that front. But I want to do something that I am excited about. I love motorcycling and started a UA-cam channel but somehow editing is a hassle for me. When I sit down, I can put in hours but to make myself sit and start is super tough. High amounts of procrastination. Need to buckle up and get going. Thanks for this video.
wow, i'm so glad i ran into this video. Mikee ty for the inspiration. I just started my journey 8 months ago, and the challenges s u mentioned in the video fit like a glove.
Omggggg, the pacing and tone of speech in this video is literally too inspiring. Like I'm going to have to use this video as inspo now cause you nailed the execution so damnnnnnnnnnn good. Whattttttt, you're awesome man. Thank you for starting because that's what I've been struggling with as a perfectionist. When I really just need to start it.
Hey, thanks so much! Don't let this discourage you though - I never thought I could do a video like this as I've seen so many others do it so well... but I sat down and scripted it to make sure I was organized and it ended up being easier than I thought.
It's really powerful, I too am 30 something and I've been doing this for a while mostly for figures but also for some of my memories of the things I want to preserve and tell so...this gives me a push to not just keep going but also doing it better
I'm so happy UA-cam recommend me this video. I've started to take UA-cam seriously. I've been wanting to do vlogs for a long time but I have those excuses. I am now 36 years old and finally decided to take it serious
Ahhhh, Mikee! What a brilliant video. I'm a small youtuber as well & been at it for 5-ish years. This was such a wonderful video to watch & i was able to relate to many points you mentioned. Also - you have such a soothing voice! I hit to hit the subscribe button. Keep crushing it :) Can't wait to see more from you.
Love it! It's all about the journey not the destination - though the destination can be beautiful as well! Wishing you all the luck and success on your UA-cam journey 🫶🏼
As someone with under 1k subs I sooo relate to your video; UA-cam has brought me so much already before even having made any money. Loved watching this, it made me feel super chilled, thank you for sharing - new sub here!
The title made me click your video but I'm not disappointed! Your voice is so soothing! When watching your video, I feel like being welcomed to your home for a warm cup of coffee. Anyway, you raise some very interesting points. It's not just about having a monetized channel. Creating videos gives me satisfaction on its own. And when someone watches something and gains some value from my content, then I'm happy. I love the connection with people on the internet. People interested in what you have to say can't hear you if you don't share. All the best!
Hey, thanks so much for sharing! And I totally agree, the process of creating can be a hobby in itself and as long as we enjoy it, that's all that matters. Wishing you all the best as well!
i'm a creator who just started last week. saw some early traction, but that's plateau'd now. i am so inspired seeing - and being reminded - that we all come from somewhere. i started this channel as a way to find some form of fulfillment in things i love most - cooking and storytelling. every day - i ask myself: how do i feel turning a hobby into a job? what am i hoping to get out of this? other days, i don't feel so inspired. i feel apathetic. and it hurts. but this pushes me to keep going. cheers - happy 2024!
I’m really glad I came across your channel. I’ve been wanting to start a channel but I feared being talked about, people in my life finding out and gossiping, no one watching or just not being interesting enough. I watch so many vloggers and my husband has always encouraged me to start, saying people would love to watch me. I always thought there’s a market now missing realistic day to day lives of 30+ year olds which I fall under. So he bought me the Osmo Pocket 3 and I’m going to break that fear and vlog our winter trip. So thank you for this video ❤
Yesterday was my 38th birthday and finding creators closer to my age is so refreshing and reassuring ❤ thanks for being here!
Happy belated birthday!
Im also 38 in November 25 so chill😊
This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my UA-cam channel 8 months ago about self development. Now I have 956 subs and > 800 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.
Hey Nathan! Almost 1k subs in 8 months is amazing, great job! And I totally agree, the lessons learned are priceless! Keep at it!
Almost 2K now, you are killing it
@@Xcep178Coplk-yz3ch Thank you!
Now you have another sub! Thanks for your enthusiasm!
As a 39 year about to start my UA-cam channel, I’m so grateful I came across this video. New sub here for sure. Thank you for sharing.
Same boat here! Congrats brother, let’s get it!💪🏼
I just wanted to say thank you for making this video.
That's exactly what I am going through right now, Doubting if there is anyone who would be interested in my content as a 35 year old no body
@analimalimon I'm 34! Let's do this.🤍
I’m 31 - we’ve got this! ❤
@@Nonzi’m here for it. subscribed!

Im 37, I have been on youtube for awhile BUT recently I started a 100 vlogs in 100 days challenge, it was a great adventure and creative outlet. I highly recommend trying a challenge like that even if its for 30 days or 60 days.
I’m 33. Go for it, man!
Man same thing for me. I just recently turned 35. I make videos but still I was thinking about making changes that I feel can make the channel better. I want it to be more real and transparent for the audience.
As a 57 year old introverted nobody who’s been toying with the idea of doing UA-cam content, THANK YOU for the inspiration!
Cheers!
When you decide to post your video, come back & let us know so we can subscribe ❤
51 years old and going through the same conundrum.
Did you ever start? Would love to support!
@@MikeeRogers the fear of failure and the feeling that would I get an audience with my lack of charisma
“Who’s gonna watch a 35 year old nobody?” Hit me really hard coz that’s exactly how I see myself right now. But I haven’t given up finding those that might appreciate my silent vlogs that might be boring to most lol thanks so much for this video! Really needed to hear some encouragement 💕
this is also me..
I notice a lot of people have gone through the same feelings… I watched a fitness creator on UA-cam that only had 100k when I first started watching her. She now has 4million subscribers, but she said,” the first three years she didn’t get paid and nobody really subscribed to her channel.”…
I believe we all can and will succeed if we don’t give up, and remain consistent.

I love that this video blows up after you got monetized 😍
Well done Mikee! I started my channel seriously last year in December as a 37 year old. I am one year old on UA-cam now, and will be turning 38 in a week plus, I now have over 700 subbies and thousands of views! It may not be much but I am very grateful for this platform because I was so much in doubt when I started because of my age when I started but I think we all have a space here as long as it’s what we want to do and I’m grateful for this space! WellDone 🎉🎉🎉
That's awesome and thank you for sharing! Love that there are so many of us on here, wishing you all the best for 2024! Keep doing you 🫶🏼

Mina! It's people like you that have really helped in my UA-cam Journey. Now that I think about it, I totally failed to elaborate on my small loving community I've made on here. All yall's supportive comments have really made a huge difference in sticking with this journey and truly helping making it enjoyable. While I say that I first and foremost do it for myself, I'd be crazy not to think my community plays a huge role in all this 🤎

inspired. thanks bro. this video came at the perfect time. I'm about to turn 43. and I've been procrastinating working on my channel for years.
Wishing you all the best!
you're Filipino.🤣 I started UA-cam two years ago and 50K subs later.🤩🎉
What’s up kaibigan! Congrats, that’s a huge accomplishment! 👏🏼🎉

How about this title :
"Unlock Calm: ADHD Relief Schedule"
Hey, as a nobody creator. I know how much 1 comment means to us. So I think I wanna stop bu and say hi, great video, lots of motivation also great voice. Keep it up and keep on going dude! You doing great!
Appreciate that so much! Wishing you all the best!

I say that at the end of my videos because I truly believe when we're in a position where we could choose, we should always choose happy whatever that might look like for that day, so glad you were able to choose happy 😊 - and regarding content, especially in the beginning stages, don't stress on it. Hi Mike,
First of all, thank you for taking your time to share this video.
There ya go, love it! Happy belated bday and wishing you the best!
Love this! As a 43-year-old thinking of finally starting a channel (after years of procrastinating and talking myself out of it) this was right on time ❤

THIS is what I want to see. Exactly what I needed to just go for it.
Best of luck on your journey!
Thank you so much for sharing your journey! Your video appeared in my feed and I know that happened for a reason.
The world is a better place for having you and your channel in it. Thank you for your honesty ❤

Here I was thinking I don’t have a chance at 32yo. You just gave me a big boost in confidence to get back into creating.
You got this!
Better late than never - Glad you started your YT journey! Clearly, you have a lot of great and wonderful things to share, Mikee! 💜
Thanks for sharing, I'll have to check out that book!
Oh my goodness, I just turned 40 and have been going through the same thing. Thank you so much for sharing.
Yes, start with your phone, improve and grow!
Thanks boo! Can't wait to hear about and watch your journey 😉🤎
This was your sign ✨
I really enjoyed watching this video! This was motivating for many small creators like me. Doing the first step is always the hardest part and, after that, I believe that hard work will eventually always pay off. Well done and well deserved! I am sure your channel will continue growing a lot! 🎉
Thank you and appreciate it! Wishing you all the best as well!
Love this. Just the inspiration I needed. Started my UA-cam channel a few years ago and only have 31 subscribers. Time for me to have fun with more videos. Thank you and look forward to enjoying more of your content as a new subscriber. Picking Happy for today!!!
Yes, have fun and just be you! Because at the end of the day, that's all we can really control on our journey on this platform.
Right back at you babe! We've come along way from our Vegas Magic days lmao but still love that in some ways, we haven't changed at all 💀🤎
Totally! 😂🥹❤️ Same but grown. 🫶🏼
Nice information
Really inspiring video man, I hope to be like you one day. I have been doing UA-cam Shorts last six months, and what helped me the most was that I found out that you can give your videos (even the long ones) the initial dose of views and likes (I am mostly using a little bit of famester for this, just because I think it's really great service and I never had any problems with it). This way you are always one step ahead of the algorithm.
Thanks, really good tip
I’m 60 and can completely relate. One correction, you were never a nobody. You have a soothing, on camera presence and voice. Thank you for being an example of what’s possible.
Rare that I watch a video thru but I did because I love your authenticity. I'm not sure if you were teaching, sharing or just chatting but I'm walking away feeling I just had coffee with a friend. Thank you!
Hi love this! Thanks for sharing, definitely love the feel of "hanging out" with creators so it's so nice to hear you got that vibe from this video 🫶🏼🤎
Whoever is reading this, I wish you a great life ❤
And right back at you ✨🤎
Your video popped up on my feed. Thanks for the inspiration! Love the honesty and authenticity!
I was so mesmerized by your pink sniper gun in MW3. There was something so satisfying about you getting all them dudes with a pink bedazzled gun 😂🫶🏼
Sounds like YT is exactly the outlet you need. Just need that little push to get going. Rev up those gears and get to it!
Just started Vlogging and ive learned to just go for it … One life to live !!!💯💯💯
You got that right Jay!
wow, i'm so glad i ran into this video. Mikee ty for the inspiration. I just started my journey 8 months ago, and the challenges s u mentioned in the video fit like a glove.
What a lovely video - I was so happy to stumble across your channel today, Mikee! 42 year old music / video maker here, let's all keep going xo
I’m so glad you got out your comfort zone and started something that’s ever changing.
Glad to provide a bit of inspiration for you to keep going and growing. Wishing you the best of luck!
Extreme introvert here 🙋🏽♂️. Started 10 months ago. I really like it. Great video. I will like and share. This is such a good public service video.
I'm so happy UA-cam recommend me this video. I've started to take UA-cam seriously. I've been wanting to do vlogs for a long time but I have those excuses. I am now 36 years old and finally decided to take it serious
You got this! Enjoy the journey!
Dude I too stayed dormant for 10 years as life happened. You are inspiring me now...
Trust, I get it haha but there's no day but today. Good luck with starting back up!
Aww thank you 🫶🏼
I was so afraid of starting my little channel but it has given me so much joy recording my travels and memories. YES, I totally agree. Start today 🎉
Love it! It's all about the journey not the destination - though the destination can be beautiful as well! Wishing you all the luck and success on your UA-cam journey 🫶🏼
UA-cam has given me the ability to have a toolbox of skill sets. Having a college degree is no longer needed in this new era. It’s Amazing ❤
So much knowledge at our disposal these days 🙌🏼
Whoa... I'm 30 and feel this way. Cool to see this guy did it regardless of our inner critic
As someone with under 1k subs I sooo relate to your video; UA-cam has brought me so much already before even having made any money. Loved watching this, it made me feel super chilled, thank you for sharing - new sub here!
Appreciate it! You're almost there! but glad you've already gained so much from this platform.
This is inspiring, I felt the same way when I started mine 6 months ago.
