Great video but something where I was back in 2020 with around 2000 subscribers. I had to create more engaging and interesting content, with it being a mission to monetise my Channel. It took me 9 months but I go there, and eventually got 4000 watch hours. I discovered that my more engaging content were those that had minimal editing and was more authentic. Be yourself and share your passion. The numbers will follow. It is a marathon, not a sprint.
Thanks so much for sharing. I recently made the pivot to authentic engagement and it's got quite a few people dropping off. But I think in the long run this is the better way to build a solid channel.

Thanks. I’ve been posting since late April and just over 3,100 watch time. I’m posting simple no frills 10-20 minute yoga classes consistently everyday, and 1-2 shorts per day. Minimal editing. Every so often a video will get a few thousand views and I can’t figure out why. Most of my vids are getting 200-600 views. All of my videos have the same basic quality. @@Bakingandrecovery Hello 👋 Nice to meet you It’s been a journey hun! I put in more work in creating value for both my long and short videos . You gained a new subscriber ❤️
I just recently started UA-cam again and just reached 500 watch hours still going strong to reach 4000 watch hours hopefully before the end of the year!
I appreciate that batching is important, but not everyone is doing sit down educational vids, I feel like most are filming their life / creative process and you can't rush or batch that. Other than that this video is amazing!
This is very helpful for someone new on youtube, thank you! I'm at 70 watch hours now and just started 2 weeks ago, so quite excited for the future of the channel 🥰
I’ve heard similar recommendations before but am running into an issue maybe you can help with. When a small creator in my niche is occasionally on my home page or suggested, I check out their channel and look for the outliers… but how do I SEARCH for small creators? Seems like mostly bigger channels with massive views show up when I search a topic.
the actual and one and only tip starts from from the middle of the the video and that too he is asking us to figure out a way to figure out how and what makes a viral video viral... its that basic tips which every other youtuber gives you... if we knew about how algo works, then isn't that something we could have done something about it in the first place... this video is nothing but "may be" and "finding a way" video and more about "come and join my program" kinda thing
I completely disagree. The reason I don't specify what is likely of to contributed to that specific video going viral is because it could be a combination of things that you need to analyze specifically for that video. I did my best to mention to look at things like title, thumbnail and video concept to asses which one was likely to have caused it to go viral. Apologies if you feel the video wasn't useful I honestly think this is a valuable tip and wanted to share it.
Yeah can be a bit tricky. Maybe it is harder for yur niche but I find if I search specific topics and scroll down from the top videos I can find smaller creators. I think it also helps to getting to know a bunch of small creators in your field and you could go through their content and see if they have any outliers. I think you have to be spending a lot of time on UA-cam to be honest.
Really need to get into the batch filming workflow. Always feel uncomfortable in front of the camera so getting started with each video is a hurdle but once I've been at it for a bit I relax.
Yeah its honestly the only way I would ever do things again. Even after creating so many videos I also need a little bit of time to warm up in front of the camera :)
Think of it like jumping into a pool at first we focus too much on how cold the water is then we jump in and it's cold then once we give it a few minutes it's refreshing the mind and body move into another state of being. If we focus more on the refreshing part and less on How cold it is then we are more likely to jump in more often with ease.

a lot of people who make videos about this topic either talk in very vague language or about something I already knew. I appreciate your advice, I'm gonna test it out!
I start working on my channel I've created this few years ago . And now by constantly posting I got more subscriber and views though some of the video is not been seen, but like on my other videos after a month of having 0 view now it has.. Keep posting.
UA-cam pushed your video to my feed and I’m glad it did - posted my first (short) video last week and only at 20 subscribers. I’m an introvert terrified of posting my first long form video. But this journey is definitely fun! And challenging 😂
I was actually doing this for shorts and at 700 subs now .. Will def do this now for long form videos .. I see everyone here getting with 100k plus subs program .. don’t worry how bad the start is.. jus trust the process n improve as u go
Sean you provide amazing advice and have been the number one influence to make me a better film maker. One important detail, a channel has to have 4,000 watch hours in a 365 day period, the hours do not count for the length of your channel being in existence.
Thank you! yeah this is totally true I was kinda just using that as dramatic effect haha. I should of mentioned the within one year thing in the video I guess though :)

I'm so excited because I'm just starting off on UA-cam and I'm in the very beginning of my journey ❤ im hoping that as time goes by that I can gain subscribers and watch hours! To everyone on there journey, I wish you the best of luck!! 💗
Good luck, we got this!
Thank you for this video! So much information. Preciate it. Peace.
Love that newbies like me are sharing their joys and frustrations. Been at this 5 weeks and reached 70 subs and so appreciative of them! But it’s hard to remain positive bc this is a lot of work! Basically working for free….but I’m my own boss… and doing what I love!
Thanks for all the value in this video & the equipment in the description!
Bravo..! Learner from Karachi Pakistan... 🎉❤ Thanks
My channel is growing steadily after watching so many videos on UA-cam and implementing the strategies discussed! My niche is dog health and nutrition so lots of cute pooches to deal with. Thank you for sharing ❤🐶
Working on it! I’m close and need to get over that hill!

Its so hard to get engagement on content, watch time is even harder when we cant post as often as we would like to. Thank you for the tips Im going to try to implement them. We make royalty free music if you need some more. Good work on this vid!

I love how new creators (beginners) support each other ❤❤
Incredible advice! Thank you for it! I am a new music channel on yt and I hope everyone in here has a great journey! Never give up!
Great advice Sean! Going to try this out and let you know how it goes. 😉
Awesome! Hope you have some success with it!
This is so helpful! Especially for those of us who are so new to this and struggling to create content! Thank you ❤
Sean, this is a fabulous video. I love the fact that you're helping so many of us get to where you are. Sincere thanks.
a lot of people who make videos about this topic either talk in very vague language or about something I already knew. I appreciate your advice, I'm gonna test it out!
I start working on my channel I've created this few years ago . And now by constantly posting I got more subscriber and views though some of the video is not been seen, but like on my other videos after a month of having 0 view now it has.. Keep posting.
It's not easy but no giving up. Will get there soon🎉

Amazing advice! We just started out our UA-cam journey with 70 subs now, excited to take it forward with batch creating. Thanks 😃
UA-cam pushed your video to my feed and I’m glad it did - posted my first (short) video last week and only at 20 subscribers. I’m an introvert terrified of posting my first long form video. But this journey is definitely fun! And challenging 😂
And just like that, you’re at 25 subscribers
@@KreationAvenueTV wow! What a great notification to wake up to 🥲
@@clawruhverse You got this! 🤗
I definitivamente need to batch my videos! Great reminder 🙌🏾
I was actually doing this for shorts and at 700 subs now .. Will def do this now for long form videos .. I see everyone here getting with 100k plus subs program .. don’t worry how bad the start is.. jus trust the process n improve as u go

DAS WASSUP!!! BEEN DOING IT BUT HAD NO IDEA IT WAS A METHOD!!!! THANK YOUUUU!!!✨✨✨✨✨
great advice Sean, hope it works for my small channel as well! Will try it!
Is too hard
Awesome info! Started my channel a few months ago and still trying to climb up
Nice, i hope you are enjoying the process!
Awe! I started UA-cam 13 years ago I didn’t pursue it but now trying to get back on track. Hope to reach even just 1,000 subscribers 😊
