- Justin Peters does a video response to Steven Furtick's recent message on a chapter subheading concerning the passage of two blind men who were healed. Furtick said that a better heading would be "Two Bold Men Become Disciples".
I'm Rod Saunders, founder of Jew and Greek. I’m a musician, web developer, and a student of philosophy and economics. From the Jews we received our values and a monotheistic theology, and from the Greeks we got philosophy which brought us science, sports, the arts, democracy, and economics. Justin Peters seems right in his specious accusations, then Rod corrects JPs bad analysis.
When is JP going to stop wasting time with his Ministry of Condemnation and Criticism? He will answer to God for every idle word, same as everyone.
I'm sure Furtick is worried; staying up late at night because of a 'Justin Peter's video' No! He knows that God will still gather people (including the lost) to hear him preach/glorify his God/Jesus and that his ministry grows because it's God's Hand upon his ministry! It will always backfire on Peters whether he acknowledges that or not!
Thank you so much for having unjealous eyes for Pastor Steven and defending him with biblical backing boldly against these weird critics that wish their ministry was as big. They are so self-righteous.

After thinking about this, first I love Steven Furtick’s board. It’s awesome. Great teaching tool. Second Justin Peters doesn’t like someone, especially pointing out his appearance, and that’s what guides his judgement of Furtick. Jesus warned us against its way of judgement.
Well done Rod! You seem to find it easy to rebut ol' Justin Peters! I appreciate your apologetics and how you give some defense for your brothers in Christ falsely accused.
I'm sure Peters is in his prayer closet praying for God to remove that 'thorn in his flesh' named Rod Saunders!
I would think so Rod has pointed out errors it the majority of Peter's rants.

Justin Peter's needs a real job. If paper routes were still available he could get over his boredom. He needs something better to do than to pick apart everyone except John Macarthur and to sell t shirts with his name on them on his website. Justi the t shirt salesman needs to get over his bitterness.
That's why I don't like most critics. Justin Peters is just one of them. Steven Furtick preached a great message, from what I heard. May God keep giving him great messages to deliver, amen! I see a lot of talk about Steven, but, I don't listen to them, or, him, for that matter. Here and there I hear him, and what he says hasn't contradicted the Word of God. Thank you for your insights. I'm subscribed already, but, if I wasn't, I would do it again, lol. Sound talk heard here! You are blessed, praise God!!!

Maybe Peters needs to preach a great encouraging message of his own instead of tearing down everyone else's encouraging messages. He needs to humble himself under the mighty hand of God. God won't do it for him, he has to make the first move.

Finally, got an up to date video from you Rod. Been getting lots of older videos lately. Don't get me wrong, I love the old ones, but would like to stay current with your stuff. My son is a young Assemblies of God preacher, and I've just turned him on to your stuff.
I listen to alot of Justin, Colin, and John McAuthur, and enjoy hearing your rebuttals when they attack some of the Pentecostal/Charismatic teaching that I'm in agreement with. I like alot of McAuthur 's teaching, and I agree with some of his opinions on charismatic flakiness. But, as you have pointed out, our side could certainly throw stones at our good calvanist/Baptist brethren if we wanted to as well.
Those guys seem to be the epitome of Pharisee attitudes and behavior. They are soooooo stiff necked and judgmental. Can you picture McAuthur in the midst of a Holy Ghost Revival meeting, running the aisles and shouting praises and worship to God?? Lolololol (I can't either)!!!😅😅😅😅😅😅

Steven Furtick helps young Christians in their walk with Jesus. I get Steven Furtick and pray fervent prayers for his ministry. Justin is an overrated stick in the mud of a 'discernment minister' and people forget what he says on his videos. Furtick is excited about a glorious God and Peters is someone who is bitter against the charismatic movement. God will gather more to Furtick as he is someone who the young can understand. Peters will only find agreement with other 'sticks in the mud'
Interesting context. But Furtick is way too enabling of people in his message. He doesnt exposit scripture, and ultimately elevates the men over Christ. His basic point is ok, but not really on topic, or even real. It supposes people are letting some culture or what others are saying about them to keep them from Christ?
Our own sinful rebellion wants to keep us from Christ.
But he's right that we should call out to Christ and be bold in our faith.

Every time I see Justin Peters face it annoys me. This guy should not be qualified to preach or teach. How can he twist Scripture to fit his cessationist narrative and teach lies to people? May God forgive him.
The sad thing here is we are not blind and the sickness we suffer is sin but who is going to change with nominal preaching? With a lame and wimpy jesus that everyone makes up according to their lifestyle

We think listening to foolishness and unqualified people will achieve this, in no way it will!
We make examples of secondary actor's people that are never mentioned lather and when thing's became real they betrayed Christ or fleed cowardly

Hi Rod - ironic that you accuse me of taking Furtick out of context (which I did not ) when you actually did that very thing with me in this video. Hypocrisy. My overall point (as you well know) was that Jesus Himself called people what they used to be in Luke 7, this despite Furtick saying we should not do that. Jesus did. Please stop attacking the those that have the gifts of the Holy Spirit they have not cease.
They will remain until Jesus returns.

The church won't need these gifts in the next life - why because everything will be perfect we will have no need of them in the next life The Lord is going to restore all things and make them new again

Justin Peters may have missed the context however Steven Furtick is a showman who invited unnecessary criticism when he tried to explain the title "two blind men recieve sight" as somehow not being logical on the basis of what he said "if they received sight, why are they called blind". The title makes perfect sense as it means the men were blind and then healed. An objective UA-camr would have at least acknowledged that but something tells me you are not objective when it comes to Justin Peters.
Rod typically encourages people to look at the context in which statements are made. In the context of this video and with the history SF has. It's pretty clear that SF is not trying to be super literal with his wording.
Justin was majoring on minors. The message wasn't about subheadings. It was about transformation through an encounter with God.
I'm sure you would have called Jesus a showman when he asked people to eat his flesh and drink his blood, instead of understanding the context of his message, Justin does what the devil does, he looks for the slightest avenue to condemn.
@@iamthatJosh No I would not have called Jesus a showman. I agree that JP does take every opportunity to condemn others if they are not "reformed". But the same could be said of Rod Saunders for picking the slightest avenue to condemn JP and give a large pass at any issues with those even resembling the WOF camp. If JP and Rod are both saved, I wonder how Jesus would view this bickering amongst his sheep.

Different people communicate in different ways; the goal is the truth, not necessarily how it's presented, as long as it's done with moderation and in a godly manner. Steven Furtick was moderate to me; he didn't focus too much on the heading."
I like your outlook often. I am a lifelong Pentecostal but I have to be honest, In my opinion Steven Furtick is TERRIBLE. If anyone watches him prepare to learn absolutely nothing.

The reason Rod has no credibility is the same Furtick has no credibility among Bible readers. The point being made is Furtick ignoring the FACT that the text calls them BLIND. His point was a flawed point but Rod wanted an opportunity to criticize Justin.

Justin won't answer that. He is looking for what is wrong. In looking for what is wrong, he is against the Hand of God that is upon those within the movement. He is not for the charismatic movement. God is for the charismatic movement.
