Very nice picking and a nice lock. Looks like a pain when you first get to pick it.
The matching of key pins and drivers is called balancing the stack. It ensures that the stacks are all about the same height and the drivers are proud of the shearline in the plug. It also makes the springs feel the same strength when picking. A common thing to find in Schlage is that when you have a zero key pin and the normal #3 drivers is that the two pins are flush with the shearline. This balancing is to prevent that occurring.

That is a high amount of security, and thought into counter picking measures. It makes the pick all the more impressive. Nice work!

Thank you! My goal is that this be a teaching channel, so I try to pay extra attention to the narration in the hope that people might glean a tip or two.

I thought that I would be all good to go on this lock because I'm used to the tapers in tubular locks... It was DEFINITELY more challenging than I thought it would be! Thank you for the kudos!

Another lefty! I can't think of any other left-handed picking channels... I should do a search so I can do shoutouts for them!

Cool lock, those pins look pretty tough to pick, but you did a great job getting it open. New sub here.

Thank you for the sub! I appreciate the support! It is a tough pick, and I did progressively pin it as I was learning the lock. The entire process of learning and picking this lock was a load of fun!

Well, @ladylocks is on a constant quest to slow me down, and this one did take me around four or five hours of prog-pinning to finally crack. And, thank you! I appreciate the applause and support!
