I have hated these locks with a passion. Thank you for this video 😊
They are the nemesis of many...
And then one day they makes sense. Try setting pin five first. It's the serrated pin and if it's binding, it'll get you into into a false set that will allow you to go after the spools.
Great point here-and ones that will pay off in future locks too! (I'm working on some stubborn Euros that needed to hear some of these lessons again....)
Thanks Jeff! And you're absolutely right! Most lessons learned on any one lock, are generally skillsets that can be transferred to another.
He's a great picker and a wonderful guy! Nice shout-out! Great tips on this! I haven't picked one of these yet, but most I have seen do have extreme bitting! Love the tips on 0 lift pins and figuring out how to determine which ones they are!! I do think, personally, sprung cores are helpfull. Some people say dead cores make no difference in the feel. I think it does! Very good explanation of why! This was a very good overview of this lock and how to learn it and pick it! Thank you!
I agree that dead cores feel different. The biggest part of it for me is that when trying to ease up on the tension, you don't have a spring assisting you. It is all down to you and how you manipulate the tensioner, which helps you to develop a more subtle touch with the tension. I love the 410! You say you haven't tried one yet; I highly recommend it!
@@pugspickslocks I like that bit of spring assist! I do agree though it teaches you to develop a more subtle touch with the tension! It is most definitely on my future list!
Couldn’t have said it any better.. great vid man!
@@LockpickHI, thank you! I appreciate you!
Brilliant locks for spools. I think they're a tad harder than the abus 72/40 because of that keyway. Maybe for a content idea you could do a comparison for your other viewers.Sadistic is an awesome guy and someone I'm happy to call a friend since he started 🫶 love your content by the way. Have a great week pugs 👌🫶🤜🤛😊
Hey thanks Nick! Your my favorite weiner homie😳😝👏😂. Whenever i see you post that i fecken die. Has been much of an uplift on some crappy days. So thanks for bein a friend. One of the first friends i made in locksport! Love this community and the people that drive it! Thanks for the kind words.🤘😎!!
Oh! The 72/40 is a fun pick as well! Same with the PacLock PL-410 LOTO. I love the comparison idea. Maybe I could compare all three of them.
I don't know sadistic picker personally, but I can see all the good things you say about him being true!
I agree that the community is great! And Nick is def' a good egg in that community!
@@pugspickslocks kind of you to say 🙏
