Heres your issue also. You bought a used 2500. People use 2500s to do work so it was more than likely beat on and then when major work was needed they just bought another one. If nothing was wrong with it they would still be using it to make money
It was definitely abused. It seemed good for a fee thousand miles before I put tires on though.
