All day long. Over a N/A V8. That is just science. My 3.5 twin turbo Ford V6 got wrecked when a lady turned in front of me. Now I've been driving a 5.7 HEMI for the past 1 1/2 years. The V8 sounds so much better, but it is a downgrade on power. ESPECIALLY WHEN TOWING! My Hemi has to run 4000+ RPM's to pull my 18 foot trailer and Can-Am up the mountains where the twin turbo V6 Ford did it at 3,000 and had power to spare. 👍
All this 0 to 60 does not truly matter for 99% of the buyers. What matters is how reliable this engine will be when using for normal driving and work. Two big issues I have with the Hurricane engine: 1.) Over engineered which means it is a costly nightmare to repair in the future; stupid design like no oil dip stick for example. 2.) Having to add Twin Turbo to get barely under the towing of a 5.7 Hemi is not a good sign. The Hurricane will run very hot when towing (again refer to the over engineering of this engine). Sorry, but this is a hard pass for me. The Hemi is a solid engine that does not need the gadgets of twin turbos to perform solid. Also when the 5.7 needs to be repaired, its not a nightmare like the Hurricane. All engines wear and break down. Plus you are going to trust Stellantis's electronics to monitor oil life? I mean they are using the cheapest junk on the market for electrical parts. I'll keep my 2020 1500 with my non-eco 5.7 Hemi for as long as I can.
I agree with you. I'll keep my HEMI. If I buy a new truck in the future will be the RAMCHARGER, that thing is different and I think will be rock the future of the hybrid pickups, but no to replace my HEMI. This big guy will be in my porche for many years.
Ditto. If I wanted a "Euro" I'd build it myself or buy a Beemer. There's no replacement for displacement and always remember The Heuring Axiom: H.P. per cubic inch and engine lifespan have an inverse relationship.
Thank you for doing this video, but I'll keep my hemi. I saw videos on youtuber get one up to 250,000 in a 4 year span in 4 years, and it looked in great shape. I plan on getting a high volume oil pump, comp camshaft kit, and some shorty headers with a tune once the warranty is over. I know that the 5.7 hemi is completely capable of achieving 250,000 miles with routine maintenance.
@@Chitown2586 12 valve was a 6 cylinder nobody complained about that. Might want to give the new motor a chance before you shit on it. Cant be any worse than the outgoing 5.7 with its cam/lifter failure or broken studs. That being said I wouldnt buy the new motor until its been on the market a few years. But an inline 6 motor is smoother and more simple than a v8 which is a good thing for reliability
No Dipstick, No Thank You! A ton of things to go wrong! It will take a few years to work out reliability issues. Drop a turbo and spend spend spend. I'll stick with used trucks for the next several years until all the issues are worked out. Then maybe i will consider one of these technical nightmares.
If ram was smart they would offer the HO as a $2500 on every truck….this stuff going on where they dont let u get the engine without buying a 20k package is DUMB…back in the day u could get a 225 318 or 360 in ANY truck 2wd and u could get the 318 or 360 in 4x4.. just let people have the HO in anything…. When they released the hemi….we went from a max of 245 hp on the 360 (5.9) to 345 hp. Now i say give peoplle the option..even with the premium fuel people need the option…i bet barely 10% of buyers can aford the HO..cause its beind a pay wall of limited and larimie..DUMB. Power to the people.
I see a lot of people saying they don't care about the numbers but I certainly do. That is very impressive performance and I like performance over sound. Down the road when aftermarket accessories become available I can do something about the sound for relatively little money as compared to my 5.7 Hemi which is extremely expensive to tune. Having said all of that I do like the sound though. To each their own however. Really enjoyed this review. Thank you so much.
@@TRXMOEnope. These motors are going to have all sorts of issues. Mark my words. These are not motors you want pulling. It's going to kill motors. V-6's work great for small cars. All Stellantis did was to put a bandage on something that doesn't work well for the vehicle they are putting it in. A turbo pulling weight behind it will most definitely kill this motor

Okay, really cool stuff, guys. I appreciate you taking the time to do a comparison between the outgoing drivetrain with the new one. You are essentially embodying my entire conundrum here, though. My husband and I actually recently traded in an Ecoboost F-150 for a Hemi Ram due to reliability concerns. Now - with that said, we also own a Ford Edge Sport with a gen one 2.7TT Nano, and it is so brutally fast and steadfast reliable I would never consider getting rid of it until it A.) doesn't make 18psi boost anymore, or B.) throws a rod through the side of the block, unlikely. Sometimes it just depends on whether you got one that was built on a Wednesday, or a Friday afternoon. But when it comes to my pickup, and how I want it to get me into an (preferably) out of the north woods of Maine, I will take a pushrod 5.7 Hemi any day of the week, thank you.
Ram customers are about to get the new Tundra experience when it comes to those problematic twin turbos on a 6. SST recall on those turbos is inevitable
Gentlemen, I just watched your video for the first time and I truly enjoyed your review. I just purchased my third RAM this weekend from the same dealership Beorne Dodge in Beorne, Texas. First one was a new 2019 Ram Lonestar, second was a 2021 Ram Laramie the new one is a 2025 Ram Limited Longhorn SST HO which is the best one so far. I'm in San Antonio, Texas, a retired military guy who likes to race legally on the track. My little race car is a 1998 C5 Corvette I have modded heavily (88mm Precision Pro Mod Turbo on an LQ9 408 iron block stroker) making 1,188 RWHP. So I like turbos, and when setup correctly like the SST HO they should be very reliable. Additionally, just in case it is not I purchased the extended warranty. :-) Keep up the good work guys, looking forward to your next post.
Love the video, good job guys. I like how you explain the reason for the small displacement turbo engine trends seen in the modern truck market. Spot on, more to due with emissions then fuel economy, however I think fuel economy by the 55mph government testing standards not reality these small motors can pull off better mpg helping the mfg fleet averages. Of course you guys are 100% correct I. The real world especially in the heartland states where we have a lot high wind speeds and 75-85mph interstate speed limits. These small turbo motors will be relying heavily on their turbos and negating any real world fuel savings.
Was almost asleep till I got a notification of the video I've been waiting for! I have the 5.7 Hemi but have yet to find a H.O. to test drive, everything I'm finding in Houston has been S.O. which I wasn't too impressed with. Can't wait to see the hill climb! Great review! Loved the comment interaction at the end!
Have you test driven a S.O. Hurricane? I wasn't impressed. I do not believe the 13.7 second 1/4 mile, Ram is touting. My current Ram is a '10 crew, 5.7, rwd( 4.10 LSD). I ran a 13.96 at an actual strip (1700 ft elev). I would say the '25 S.O. Hurricane crew would run around a 14.6-14.7 1/4 mile.
I don't care how much horsepower that I-6 produces, I don't want a 6-cylinder in my half ton pickup. It sounds like a Honda Civic. The V8 is the soul of the pickup. RAM ruined their 1500
Everyday I love this truck more! Did a 200 mile drive which included about 30 miles of dirt road today. averaged 24.5 mpg. Think this inline six is going to put Ram in 1st place. Don't miss the V/8 noise at all.😊
That extra battery is the accessory battery to support the start stop functionality. It provides power to the accessories while the engine is not running to ensure there is power from the primary battery to restart the vehicle as needed.
IMO the Hurricane is suffering from the way it was introduced more than what it actually is. People LOVE their HEMI's, right or wrong, they DO. So when you take something away and replace it with something that DOES NOT replace, what I believe, to be, the most important characteristics of the HEMI, the sound and feel of driving one, folks will be upset. The love for the HEMI had little to do with 0-60 or HP/Torque numbers at this point. The Hurrican could be the greatest engine to ever grace an engine bay BUT it was DOA to many with the way Stellantis, looking at you little carlos, told everyone "Screw you, no more of the engine you love you will take this TT 3.0L that sounds about as good as my washing machine and you will be Grateful peasants!" (I am of course paraphrasing lol.) They did the same thing with the Hornet, it could have been the greatest little four banger crossover to ever, a, crossover but they took away all the HEMI muscle cars and in the next breath introduced that little alpha in a "dodge" costume and a EV. Gee I wonder why they are not being widley imbraced. Straight-up BAFOONS are in charge at stellantis.
One more thing, IF stellantis and little carlos had any foresight at all they would have realized that they NEEDED to at least have an option for some sort of exhaust upgrade for the hurricane. I KNOW it would never sound like a HEMI but is sounds like a blender gave a dishwasher a special hug behind the garage FFS. Even the chief engineer when interviewed kept talking about the "refinement" of the engine, no one loved the HEMI for it's refinement, they are detached from reality over there at stellantis.
Brian you are 100% spot on, as a loyal mopar owner, owning 3 mopar vehicles Ram 1500 5.7 hemi and a dodge charger r/t 5.7 hemi and a 2022 jeep GC. Nothing beats the sound of a natural aspirated V8 exhaust note. I have no interest in any thing mopar produces anymore since the ditched the hemi.
I hope everyone remembers the high horsepower cars that we had in the 80’s and 90’s and how technology is the changing so much now just wait another decade and we see where we are at
As a Subaru tech that went to Subaru school in 1986 for the cvt in the Justy model, the usual service done is remove the drain plug and install new fluid. We were trained to drop the pan and clean the magnet(s) BECAUSE CVT's shed more metal than a non cvt. I've done service on friends Subaru cvt's and at 50,000 miles the magnet(s) are almost full. The magnetic field can only pull in so much debris, after that the debris is in constant circulation causing troubles. Local dealer parts dept manager says the Subaru cvt's are a disaster. Rebuilt factory cvt's are not an available option, new only at about $6,500 plus tax and installation. He said the only serviceable parts are a valve body and torque converter. These items don't do well being lubricated with metalized fluid. I see UA-cam videos just fluid flushing or changing but no magnet cleaning!!
Isn't there two versions of the Hurricane engine ? Which one did you test ? The higher or lower line Hurricane ? I've heard on another UA-cam video that the higher level Hurricane engine has higher quality parts in it ? Is that true ? Thanks
I bought my 2024 back in March, happy to have the 5.7 old school Hemi. However I would probably now have waited for the hurricane and the better incentives now.I'm a sucker for the latest technology and willing to risk issues. The new motor looks awesome not to mention super fast.
I’m tired of people comparing the HO to the 5.7 especially in Fuel efficiency. Why not the SO Inline 6? Ram didn’t have a high performance engine above the 5.7 so stop comparing the 5.7 to the HO.
Since the sound of turbo 6s and turbo 4s are so universally disliked that some manufacturers spend the time and resources on tweaking the exhaust in extreme ways to pumping in artificial v8 sound effects through the vehicles speakers. Why not build and offer small displacement turbo v8s, like say 4.0L turbo v8. Would that not fix the sound and give the consumers the experience they are wanting from their trucks. Just a thought. I have never seen anyone in the press ask a mfg that question.
The Hemi tick is due to 3 issues one cheap lifters and cams from suppliers, a supposed slight oil supply deficiency to the cam/lifters in the engine design (which is debatable because if that was the case essentially every engine would fail) and cylinder deactivation technology (which is a problem in all V8's and for the miniscule fuel savings should be scrapped). The lifter/cam supplier issue have been resolved years ago and the incidence of lifter failure since then is much lower. Reality is most of the ticking you hear in a newer 5.7 Hemi is from exhaust leaks from broken exhaust manifold studs. I've put well over 300k on multiple 5.7 Hemis and never had any cam/lifter issues. My guess is if you have a late model Hemi and you change your oil every 5 or 6k you have very little chance of having cam/lifter issues.
Bro i have a gen 2 with the 5.9 magnum absolutely fabulous reliable engine. Also have a 2013 ram 5.7 with about 100k on it. I change the oil every 4k with 10-30 full synthetic including a synthetic oil filter. Oil is a cheap price to pay for long-term life i think. As for so many complaints about the hemi tick I think its a lack of oil changes and to tnin of oil. I don't think idling has nothing to do with it i idle the crap out of both my rams. But I can assure you if the tick ever happens I will dump it in a heartbeat.
my 2018 6.4 is toast, with un-fixable exhaust stud issues that keep backing out and now a lifter is failing. Want to dominate the market? FIX DESIGN FLAWS as the come up!
@@myauctionaddictionestatesa7451bro that sucks. 1 year after buying my 2013 ram hemi I totally hanged the exhaust I put headers on it and a compete flow master exhaust with super 44's which is exactly what I have on my 2001 ram. I installed stage 8 locking header bolts/ studs on both my rams and never had a problem except once a year on both rams I do need to snug them up a little. Never seize is what I strongly recommend and I personally never have any problems. Since day 1 in my 2013 I only put 10/30 gtx synthetic and change every 4k and yes I do idle my hemi just as much as my 2001 especially in the winter here in NJ. I have aftermarket auto start on both which let's them idle for 15 minutes and yes I do restart so they idle usually like 20 minutes. If you decide to fix your truck definitely buy stage 8 locking header bolts and put anti seize on all bolts. Both my rams are old and never any problems. Great comparison video guys. I'm still team naturally aspirated V8 hemi! I honestly couldn't care less about racing a pickup. I want longevity, simplicity, and fewer points of failure etc. What about towing with these two? V8s do it better! 😜
I get that the hurricane is getting less MPG than the 5.7, but it is the H.O., id be very curious to see how it compares with the non high output version. The H.O. seems like its a competitor/replacement of the 6.4. all in all, great video
Just spent 2 weeks in a Wagoneer with the hurricane SO. I would never buy one because if it breaks its gonna be a spendy fix for sure. That said, I was impressed with the power and it was fun to drive. I beat on it over 4k miles, in all kinds of hilly and flat freeway and averaged 19.6 mpg over the 4k mile trip.
After 8 vehicles I am leaving Stellantis/MOPAR. I really don't like where they are headed and now am just waiting out the last in the fleet (Wrangler 4xe lease) to dump completely. Values are plummeting, msrp's are rising, dealers and products are suffering and the management for the US has no clue what to do. We've had 4 Ram 1500's with the 5.7 and all were great in their own way. I hope the new trucks work out for those who buy them but unfortunately I won't be one of them.
I love the driving dynamics of a boosted engine. Time will tell about the reliability. Ford seems to have done a decent job with the 2.7 and 3.5 eb as I have had both and they were reliable. I now have a 22 RAM with 5.7 HEMI and although it has less power than the boosted motors the reliability is pretty good and fuel mileage is actually better in my experience. I went with the RAM because of the rest of the truck not just the powertrain. Thanks for the video it was fun.
The hemi truck that people drive forever with is not the lifter tick, it's the exhaust manifold leaks that on the classic style would break the bolts off in the manifold. The new gen 19+ typically break the manifold themselves. 4.5 years in CDJR service

Reliability is a big concern for the Hurricane as they are quite complicated with twin turbos each with electronic waste gates and each with oil and water cooling with a separate low temp cooling system with a separate electric cooling pump. That's a lot of potential failure points and likely very expensive parts
BUT this H.O version isnt the replacement for the Hemi the 420 hp Turbo 6 is... This H.O would be comparable to the 392 Hemi, but RAM for some dumb reason didnt have a 392 option...
Blame the Government for all the crackdowns on V8's. They penalize the manufacturers and the customers if you purchase one. Especially in California. You have to pay an absurd "Gas guzzler tax" if you get a V8 - Insanity.
@@Rollingstone1988 Stellantis didn't want to spend carbon credits to keep the v8, like Ford and GM did. They could have, but decided to run an iconic American brand into the ground instead.
I had an Ecodiesel until July, when it blew up with 77,000 miles on it (warranty was up in January). I now have the 2024 Rebel with a Hemi and hope it lasts a lot longer. If the hurricane is also a Fiat engine I don't think I would risk it.
My main concern with this engine is the longevity. It uses an aluminum block with iron painted cylinder walls. I would be much less appreciative about it if it used an iron or compacted graphite block. The other thing is they should leave the hemi an option for those of us that want a working engine not a performance engine
I wonder if they could make a normal aspirated inline V6 to put in their smaller/mid size jeeps or something (i.e. new Dakota?) That could increase mpg and reliability, right?
This junk won't last...Stellantis vehicles are all having lot rot I'm keeping my 2017 till the wheels fall off..then probably go to Ford. They still build V8s unlike Stellantis
180,000 trouble free miles on my 2017 tuned Ecodiesel. Love the Rams, but as they stopped making the hemi and Ecodiesel, will drive mine until wheels fall off as well.
The numbers are impressive. As much as I hate that the Hemi has been discontinued, I love the idea of a turbo inline-6. My concern is reliability (no, not because of the turbos), it seems that Stellantis quality has been slipping. As a Mopar fan (and former Mopar tech), it's hard for me to admit this. I special-ordered a 2022 Charger Scat Pack, and it has just amazed me what piddly stupid stuff was missed by QC, I don't trust the quality of the car like I did with all of other Mopars I've owned in the past. If they missed the small stuff, what other stuff did they miss?? It's the first time I've ever bought an extended factory warranty, and at this rate I'm sure I'll be utilizing it. I really hope that they're addressing the quality issues.
The 2021 Ram Hemi had a Greenhouse rating of 3 and smog rating of 5. 2022 models went to a 4 greenhouse rating. The S.O. hurricane get 17 city 24hwy amd 4 greenhouse rating 6 smog rating. It's the H.O. that gets 15 city 21 highway a 3 Green and 6 smog rating
Super unrelated to Ram, but I drove a 2022 Nissan Armada with their 5.6 liter V8 (400 HP and 413 lb-ft of torque) and I managed to pull a 5.2 second 0-60. I am in Texas with lower altitudes, and given I (being the driver) only weigh 135 lbs, I pulled that time, even in 2 wheel drive (I don't have a 4x4 system). I know you'll see 6+ seconds on google but I have the history on file, I pulled a 5.2.
I love my 2014 RAM 1500 Hemi sport.....awesome vehicle since new. Went to dealer a few days ago....I must have missed the line to get a shot of Heroin or Crack because you would have to be wasted to pay the prices they are asking.....on top of that, replacing the Hemi with a Fiat engine is an absolute disaster.....no way in the world am I buying one. Bye.
This is is an awesome review and comparison. I was wondering what the differences were going to be, I’d heard this new Hurricane was coming a while ago! While I hate to see the ol v8 go , they are reliable and generally simple designs and make great power. I have always liked inline 6 engines for various inherent design advantages. Also many of the most reliable engines that have graced the industry have been inline 6 cylinders , slant six, the Ford 4.9 300 inline 6 , some BMW I-6 motors, Toyota’s 1Fz -FE 4.5 inline 6, 1jz-gte (turbo), 2jz-ge (non turbo)3.0 I-6 engines. Chevys old inline 6 , jeep 4.0 I-6 all were tried and true overall to be fair! I will have some concerns with the turbos and other new tech they have going on in these trucks. Also it doesn’t help considering the current state of Stelantis as a company with some production issues . but turbos if designed well with good cooling methods, if carefully and meticulously maintained have been known to do well. Mercedes used turbos in some healthy and reliable diesels going back to early 80’s in the SEL 300 D’s I believe. Time well tell hopefully these new engines fair well
I want to see the durability of the new Hurricane engine. My rule of thumb is wait for two years on a new tech to see how it holds up and what kind of issues it has over time especially after 100k mileage
Well done... I know the former advance developer at GM who said that a Chevy small block can be produced for 800EUR. It probably is, because I don't think the new powertrain is cheaper to produce than a HEMI (which isn't that bad)... It is what it is, in the very end we will switch to EV's anyway...
I'm sure the HO hurricane is a blast to drive but its only available in Limited trim and higher and honestly it would be cheaper, less complicated and likely same or better MPG to put the 6.4 Hemi in it.
I just don't know if I like stellantis, maybe because I'm an ecoboost guy! I'm jealous mine isn't that fast but mine is a 2020 and haven't had a lick of problems knock on wood! I love you guys and much love from Jensen Beach Florida ⛱️
I6 motors have been around since the dawn of time, they went away and now there back, I think all half tons should be i6 motors and any 3/4 ton should have an optional motor between v8 and diesel
I will give it a few years before I buy one, I picture them adding a dipstick to it in a couple years. But I wouldn’t be afraid of it. I still think rams are solid trucks
I'm dumb enough to have actually written a letter to RAM to predict the FAIL. In that letter, I said, "Ram is not the brand. HEMI is the brand." They'll discover that nobody wants a blown inline 6. It's unfortunate. At some point I'll want to swap my Blue Streak Pearlcoat 2019 Ram Big Horn North Edition for another truck. But it likely won't be a new RAM 1500. Maybe I'll pony up for a Cummins Turbodiesel powered RAM 2500, but since they discontinued the BSP paint color in 2019, I'll have to settle for another color - maybe Hydro Blue Pearlcoat, which isn't available on all 2500 models. The aggravations are mounting up, and a nice 2500 diesel GMC truck is starting to look pretty nice! After over 20 years, and ownership of four RAMs in a row, I shouldn't even be thinking about a GMC. But believe me, I am.
It all sounds great but why no dual fuel injection like Ford and Toyota? The no dipstick thing was also a big deal to me and yes I do check my oil frequently. I drove a S.O. version at a Dodge dealer(actually went there to check out a used 22 F150) and honestly the SO version didn't feel any better or worse than the 3.5 Ecoboost. Needless to say I bought the slightly used F150 because it was a much better deal, mostly.
Lol Yeah let’s talk about the 3.1 hurricane twin turbo , water pump , cylinder 3 main bearing , and that it failed all the stress test … from a 32 year employee that just retired.
Apparently, it failed all the stress testing that the Hemi passed. I've read that they rewrote the testing parameters in order to get the hurricane engine to pass.
Hearing Stellantis ditched the V8 in the name of emissions only to make an engine with worse emissions is hilarious but also not surprising
Pretty sure it’s only worse in the HO, the SO is better

I would believe this if it was a different company. Not the company that spent the last almost 3 decades making the best inline 6 turbos ever
I’m doing the same with a complete MDS delete …

Okay, really cool stuff, guys. I appreciate you taking the time to do a comparison between the outgoing drivetrain with the new one. You are essentially embodying my entire conundrum here, though. My husband and I actually recently traded in an Ecoboost F-150 for a Hemi Ram due to reliability concerns. :-)
Keep up the good work guys, looking forward to your next post.

The Hurrican could be the greatest engine to ever grace an engine bay BUT it was DOA to many with the way Stellantis, looking at you little carlos, told everyone "Screw you, no more of the engine you love you will take this TT 3.0L that sounds about as good as my washing machine and you will be Grateful peasants!" (I am of course paraphrasing lol.)
They did the same thing with the Hornet, it could have been the greatest little four banger crossover to ever, a, crossover but they took away all the HEMI muscle cars and in the next breath introduced that little alpha in a "dodge" costume and a EV.

Thanks

I’m tired of people comparing the HO to the 5.7 especially in Fuel efficiency. Why not the SO Inline 6? Ram didn’t have a high performance engine above the 5.7 so stop comparing the 5.7 to the HO.
I love my 2020 ecodiesel. I have 200,000kms on it and it still performs great
Same I have a 2021 I custom ordered, not a single issue in 38,000 miles.
New RAM RHO is going to be interesting with this HO engine. This engine should be available in the Rebel.
Are the seats in the Tungsten the same seats taken from the Grand Waggoner? Are the truck seats wider?

What's the rear ratio in each truck? That's really more important then your motor at the end of the day...
From what I can tell, the HO-equipped trucks get the 3.92 as standard. Probably helps with turbo lag off the line.
The hemi truck that people drive forever with is not the lifter tick, it's the exhaust manifold leaks that on the classic style would break the bolts off in the manifold. The new gen 19+ typically break the manifold themselves. 4.5 years in CDJR service

New subscriber, just came across your channel looking for this exact comparison, thanks for a great review!
Thanks for the sub!
I have a gen 1 ecoboost 2016(3.5L). Love it. I wanted a rebel at the time of purchase but the rebel was way too far behind in interior tech.
Texas Truck Channel keep up the great work !!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸💪💪💪👍👍👍👍
Everytime Craig says Brian you have to drink😂
Why is the hemi's max to still more than this hurricanes ?
I have the standard 5.7 hemi no turbo if i turbo this truck it is beeter than the hurricane ho?
That hurricane has some real impressive speed wow! 4.5 to 60 in a "basic" truck is insane
Well done... I know the former advance developer at GM who said that a Chevy small block can be produced for 800EUR. It probably is, because I don't think the new powertrain is cheaper to produce than a HEMI (which isn't that bad)... It is what it is, in the very end we will switch to EV's anyway...
Dang, by that math they probably build the truck for $10k and charge $60k plus 😂
I'm sure the HO hurricane is a blast to drive but its only available in Limited trim and higher and honestly it would be cheaper, less complicated and likely same or better MPG to put the 6.4 Hemi in it.
I’m glad to see the Inline 6 make a come back. They got great torque
I bet your voting for Kamala Harris
I been really sad about loosing the Hemi V8 I had a Ram limited and really want to get the new Ram tungsten SST-HO
I just don't know if I like stellantis, maybe because I'm an ecoboost guy! I'm jealous mine isn't that fast but mine is a 2020 and haven't had a lick of problems knock on wood! I love you guys and much love from Jensen Beach Florida ⛱️
That new engine is proudly built in Saltillo, Mexico.
I6 motors have been around since the dawn of time, they went away and now there back, I think all half tons should be i6 motors and any 3/4 ton should have an optional motor between v8 and diesel
Really enjoy the videos. Howdy from up in Alberta.
I will give it a few years before I buy one, I picture them adding a dipstick to it in a couple years. But I wouldn’t be afraid of it. I still think rams are solid trucks
You guys FORGOT to compare the MSRP's of the 2 RAM trucks
Oh we didn’t, that wasn’t the focus of this episode. The 2025 Tungsten is $91,000 and the pre owned 2024 Hemi is $48,500.
@@TexasTruckChannel
That $91,000 is the problem.

My 4.7 started ticking at 60k. I wasn’t really happy with that. I just kept driving it.
Yes. Failed Leadership can Distroy Anything.
Lol
Yeah let’s talk about the 3.1 hurricane twin turbo , water pump , cylinder 3 main bearing , and that it failed all the stress test … from a 32 year employee that just retired.
Apparently, it failed all the stress testing that the Hemi passed. I've read that they rewrote the testing parameters in order to get the hurricane engine to pass.
