I'm a 68 year old retired nurse. I just completed one month eating carnivore. For me, the results have been amazing. I have lost 18.5 pounds, my ulcerative colitis flare ups have disappeared, and for the first time in over 20+ years I am not anemic. I have been chronically anemic as long as I can remember. Had labs done last week and my hgb, hct, and rbc results were normal. Overall, I just feel healthier than I did one month ago. My favorite go to carnivore treat is bacon wrapped shrimp cooked on my grill.
Reading this makes me want to cry with hope. I've been diagnosed with crohns after years of he'll and all have been anemic for at least 10 years. Sugar is my addiction but stories like this give me the courage to try carnivore.
@@Alineko82 I have suffered from severe ulcerative colitis for years. I would have random flare-ups that were just miserable. I've been eating carnivore for 44 days and have only had one UC flare-up early on. I was a true junk food junkie. Surprisingly, I have no cravings for sugar or starchy foods anymore.
I'm over 3 years of mainly eating animal/fish products and my health, skin and body composition are awesome! Men and women ARE different in how they respond to foods, so, as a 50 year old woman, these are the things I learned along the way. Hope this helps: * I lost too much weight early on because I wasn't eating enough and I wasn't eating enough fat. Overcoming 50 years of low fat, low calories brainwashing was hard. * Experiment with the right level of fat for you. Too little and you're hungry with hard stools. Too much and you get diarrhoea. For me, a fatty ribeye is the perfect mix. * I tried OMAD but just couldn't eat enough in one meal. I now eat 2 to 3 meals a day but in a max 8 hour window. * I started getting leg cramps because my electrolytes were off so I added mineral drops to my water. * I didn't know what hunger felt like so ate when I was bored or thirsty, confusing it with hunger. If you think you're hungry but the burger patty in the fridge isn't appealing, you're not hungry! Become mindful of how you feel. * I'm a carb addict so I had to eliminate all carbs from my house. Remove temptations. * Find ways to make it easy for yourself, only have good food in the house and cook more than you need at each meal so you've always got something healthy in the fridge if you do want to snack. * I got really tired for the first few months and everyone told me I must eat carbs. It was because my body wasn't good at using fat for fuel. It took months to become fat adapted, once I was, my body always had fuel on tap! * Finally, realise that the goal is to get to the point where you can eat intuitively, when you are genuinely hungry and stop when you are full. It may take years to get there (it took me around 18 months) but the end result is so worth it. Good luck everyone. x
My husband is carb addicted and unfortunately he’s super sick. High blood pressure, blood sugar so high for years unchecked so now he has to go on insulin. I’m having health issues. Kidney stones, arthritis, joint pain, brain fog, skin issues and more. I’m going to get week and hope I inspire my husband to do the same. Thank you
Excellent 👍 I just started carnivore a week ago and I feel better but I struggle with wanting bread etc May I ask what everyone drinks ea day on carnivore? Water sucks plain ...I'd love to smash some lemons in ice cold water but idk if that will screw things up? I eat lotsa chicken and dropped 9lbs in a week probably water weight from years of garbage processed bullshit food 😁 Diet coke out? Thanks
I love how some people have been on carnivore for a while but still took the time to watch a beginner video and add their own advice and talk about their experience.
@@fitnavygirl1I don’t think this person was being rude about it, maybe this person was being positive. It’s really hard to say through text or messages because we can’t hear their tone, if they’re being sarcastic or genuinely being nice.
3.5 months into my carnivore diet journey after being totally disabled by long covid, I started this year needing a cane to walk around my apartment and now I'm back in the gym and working again
My wife and I started this diet around 6 months ago. It’s mind blowing on what are bodies look like and have become! We do cheat 1x week and drink 4 days a week and still insane results. We are both in mid to late 50. The arthritis and joint issues and are completely gone for my wife. We literally ate salads packed with organic vegetables around 2 x a day for 30 years and it’s the salads that seemed to be the problem. “That’s actually crazy to say!” My wife had I recently had a spinach salad with chicken and her arthritis came back within hours??? If you told me this a year ago. I’d say your crazy. The only bad part is we keep having to buy new cloths because our others don’t fit anymore. Lol Even know we’ve been walking and at gym our entire lives we were fit but nothing like we are now. Eggs, Bacon, Butter, Salt, coffee with local honey, Ribeye, hamburger patty with cheese, Pineapple or occasional apple. That’s 95% of how I eat. Well over a pound of red meat a day. Who would of thunk!? Media lies and obviously wants you sick to buy their products.
Congrats, that is incredible! Do you feel weird at all when you do a cheat day? Considering doing this for a wedding comming up but don't want to feel awful!
@@serendipityblooming1244 We enjoy the cheat day but usually very short lived because it was extremely enjoyable for the 5 minutes of eating but we feel very after bloated and feel bad the next day. It’s almost not worth it! Lol
@Mas-ud Al-hassan I mean I imagine he got into medicine for the right reasons and probably has respect for Dr. Berry, hints why they have done podcast together, but you do you boo boo.
Don't let your emotions get in the way of facts. Brain fog from eating a keto/carnivore diet Ken Berry in his book on page 103 he says nuts and seeds are very healthy, the nutrients and fiber are great. Page 187 says I eat many servings of colorful veggies everyday. Page 192 says there are many days each week I eat no fiber at all. Page 205 says I often go days without eating anything but fatty meat. There are no references in the book to any study because he never read any studies he just says whatever he wants just to make money from dumdum.
I've always wondered why eating just meat can become so complicated and you've certainly simplified carnivore. I'm a 72 years young female and found my way to carnivore after Keto then ketovore for 2 1/2 years and the whole time on Keto/ketovore wondered why I was still eating veggies, fruits and salads and all the keto treats. Hated veggies, was never a fruit eater but the treats were nonstop. I lost 70 lbs eating that way then moved on to carnivore and never looked back BUT in the 1 1/2 years I've been carnivore I've not lost the additional fat that I need to lose and now I think I know why--it's the last vestiges of Keto; the dairy, the sweeteners, the coffee, the tea (I'm southern and we grew up with ice tea as our first drink in the sippy cup). Although I've not experienced the body fat loss and recomp that I want I feel like Benjamin Button and have reverse aged in so many fantastic ways; grey hair returned to light brown (formerly blonde), eyebrows have grown back in, spider/varicose veins have all but disappeared, age spots on my hands are completely gone, etc. Thank you for all you do to get the word out and if the younger generations adopt this way of eating they'll live the life we're supposed to live as humans.
That's amazing Kathy, I'm so glad to hear that! And yes I agree, those last vestiges, while few, are enough to hold you back. As I've said before, I think getting rid of the last 5% of plants and Artificial ingredients gives about 95% of the benefits. Try getting down to just meat and water for a month and see how you go, I think you'll be very pleasantly surprised. Good luck with it!
Something you didn't mention is fasting. You might try learning about that and experimenting with it. When we were wearing animal pelts and running around in the woods with spears thousands of years ago we didn't always kill something every single day and have a meal. Sometimes we failed and just didn't get to eat that day. We we're designed to healthily fast for a bit of time. Just make sure you know what you're doing and you do it safely. Good luck! Here's a very solid UA-cam video from a Doctor getting into it. ua-cam.com/video/WOxgJE6QR2o/v-deo.html
I've started carnivore and I've been told it's dangerous I'm ridiculous and blah blah. I'm 321 lbs high bp and I have pcos after doing a lot of research and listening to people like you and peoples testimonials. I've lost 10 pounds in 6 days so far and I'm just gonna keep going. 👍🏻
When I went carnivore the first time, I would have loose stools and diarrhea not long after meals, sometimes up to 3-5 hours after. I read a tip that helped tremendously and that was to not guzzle water during my meals and to wait an hour after eating to drink water. I do want to say that NOT everyone has this issue because my carnivore group sure didn't but I did. Just putting this out there for someone.
@@donsmith8300 The good news is that the issue never came back and only does when I drink water during a meal. Its a hassle but just a small annoyance. I'll deal lol
I was keto for 4 years (meat/salad/few nuts and cheese) then hit plateau… My son and I did a carnivore challenge for 30 days. I had a couple slip ups but I lost 10 lbs in a month. What happened after was the big thing…. My whole body composition changed. My clothes were falling off-I think Carnivore reset my gut and now I’m at my college weight/size. Skin good. No acne (yes, acne happens at 54!). Only get a pimple after I trip up on rice, French fries/pizza- I’m not perfect! But only rarely does that happen. No sweat-jump back on the horse! I’m still 95% better than before. No arthritis, back pain, aching feet!!! And all my lab numbers are good! We got this!
I started this 8 days ago and have lost 12 pounds. I have MS and usually start my day by taking a handful of pills to even be able to get out of bed. By Wed (I started on Sunday) I reached for the pills and realized I was already sitting up and not in any pain. I'm an RN and this is opposite of everything I was taught. I was drinking sodas and eating whatever the f I wanted bc everything I had tried before had not worked, so I figured this was just how my life would be. I started this bc I was angry. I couldn't fit in anything I have and so I decided I was taking control. This has been the easiest plan for me to stick to. I've had no withdrawal symptoms and I'm able to wear clothes that were too tight just over a week ago. I've binged several videos of yours and Dr. Berry's and it infuriates me at what I've been taught in my career over the past 2 decades.
I have noticed the numbers of nurses who seem to suffer from so many health issues. I hope that your health issues will improve over the shot term and are cured over the long. God bless and keep you.

I started the carnivore diet again August 1, 2023. I've lost 15 lbs and feel great! My blood sugars were 150 to 250. My blood sugars run 72 to 94 now. I'm a total convert to carnivore now and I will not go back to my old habits. I love your videos! You provide information as well as gentle support because you know we all are weak at times. Keep up your great works! Much love from Minnesota!
So helpful to hear that...I am 79 and have yet to stick to carnivore. I will start all over again....but Dr. Saladino says berries and fresh orange juice are beneficial....carbs!
@@littlehummingbird1015orange juice is horrendous what is he talking about? Fruit juices are a no no, plenty on youtube saying how bad orange juice actually is
I hear you and I was right there with you but trust me when I tell you, if you give carnivore a month, you'll see things differently. I went to the Philippines on vacation for 10 days and indulged in rice and other carbs. I felt broken when I got home! Sore joints, terrible sleep, poor energy. I couldn't wait to get back on track. You don't know how bad you feel until you feel how you're supposed to and once you get there, those big cheats become less and less of an option
@@nicholasl8249yeah I spend a lot of time of time in the Philippines, they eat it all day long, so I was refrigerating it over night to at least turn it into resistance starch, but I then just started eating more pork chops with all the fat, and lots of grilled sardines, and seemed to satisfy my hunger
I really appreciate the tone of this video. It feels like you’re a good friend who really cares about me. The first two minutes I seriously almost cried because nobody talks to me about my diet like this.
It’s sad that we’ve had to go find our own answers to persistent health issues without a trusted physician by our side. On the other hand, how fortunate that we live in this age where the calm, friendly chat can come to us all the way from Australia.
Thank you very much! I'm so glad to hear that it was helpful for you, and I'm sorry that no one speaks to you like that about these sorts of things. It's really important for all of our health, so hopefully in the future this will be the norm for doctors and healthcare providers.
@@anthonychaffeemd 1. Thanks. 2. Poked around your channel didnt see what supplements needed. Everyone says B? Or that’s only if no liver? And minerals?
@@ibperson7765 I'm still learning, but from all of Dr. Chaffee's videos and others I've watched, what I gather is the only supplements really needed is Vitamin D if you don't get enough sunlight and if your sick or feel you need some extra bolstering add Zinc, small amount of Vitamin C and Magnesium (Chloride seems to be best absorbed). Meat, and especially beef, carries all of the nutrients that we need and in our most bioavailable form. No liver needed, it is optional in small quantities if you want it. I hope this is helpful until you hear from him.
What in the world??? I thought I was listening a resident or someone who JUST became a doctor. Wow. I will finish it this time. I got on Carnivore Fall of 2021 but got off and went back to emotional eating during my Mom's hospitalization and subsequent passing May 2022. I just started back on carnivore yesterday. I cleaned all the cabinets out and refrigerator. I am not playing games. Thank you for the video! Awesome content. Your speech is graceful and compassionate towards others.
Interesting.I have been suspicious of addiction/food connections. As a child I put table sugar in my milk, orange juice, frosted flakes. I despised vegetables in their purest forms (texture, bitterness) and ate mostly meat and sweets. Very lean most of my life despite all that sugar. There has to be a link.
THANK YOU!! I was looking for a video that would simplify Carnivore for me and this was exactly the video I needed! I am 52 and about 30 pounds overweight (well 30 pounds from where I would like to be anyway). I started Carnivore today and I am excited about it, all thanks to this video. Thanks again for the guidance! Update: This morning is the beginning of day 5 on Carnivore. No sugar, no alcohol. Meat, cheese, bullet proof coffee and water. I am down 4.6 pounds!!! After YEARS of no progress and only frustration I have finally found something that works for me. Thank you SOOOO much! I feel like crying! Update: Day 13 on Carnivore and I’ve lost 11 pounds, my skin tags are going away on their own and I have tons of energy!
One great thing about carnivore is less waste!!! I was constantly buying spring mix and vet and tossing it in my compost bin because I just never wanted to eat it and it went bad. I've never thrown away meat!! Just found you! Love your podcasts! Thanks for being there to teach us the good life! Health!!
3 months ago my BP was consistently in the high 150's and 160's over 90's. I couldn't go up 2 flights of stairs without feeling like I was completely out of breath. I started a strict carnivore diet 102 days ago, and now I'm consistently in the 117/77 - 120/80 range. I can run up 6 flights of stairs now without being winded, and I don't exercise regularly other than walking. I'm no longer prediabetic, I'm down 4 pants sizes, and lost a ton of weight while I'm never even hungry. I eat mostly beef, butter, and eggs, with the occasional pork rind, home made parm crisp, or bacon snack. I no longer have joint pains in my shoulder, I no longer snore, I no longer have that 2PM crash/nap, and my mental capacity is as sharp as it's ever going to get.
@@josephineb1501 Still going strong. I'm at day 243 now. I had to buy new clothing because I've lost about 6-8 inches off my waist. Went from size 44 to 36 jeans. I have no intention of stopping even after the 1 year mark in May. The last time I checked my BP it was 111/70, and that's the lowest I've seen it.
What about eggs? I've been eating 4 large eggs, scrambled, nothing added (a tab of butter in the pan to prevent sticking) except freshly ground black pepper. BTW, I started the carnivore diet on 8/6/2024 and feel amazing! No brain fog, I don't hit the snooze button when I wake up in the morning, and I wake up 2 hours earlier than I did when I wasn't on the diet. I've lost 27 pounds in 27 days but I still have about 50-60 pounds to lose.

I have HBP for over 10yrs. Recently got diagnosed with cholesterol on statins. All my hopes came crushing as I knew, as a Registered Nurse, this means one step closer to metabolic syndrome which we all know, this is a combination of heart attack in a bowl. I started going to the gym, and incorporating lots of veggies, low salt and so on. For about a month, no weight loss buy started feeling good though. My new found friend introduced me to canivore diet two weeks ago which completely blew my mind. It involves everything I ve been advised not to eat. I started watching Dr. Ken Berry, 5 minutes Body and other canivores We don't eat egg yokes in my household cos our Dr says it's full of cholesterol. We limit our salts intake because of blood pressure. Too much meat, was told not good for your kidneys. So canivore diet was just the last thing I needed. However, I was willing to try anything cos at this point, I felt like I got nothing to loose. I quickly dived into it without any hesitations. 3 weeks now and I feel amazing. Lots of things have began to change in my life that I never anticipated. Thank you all.
I could listen to you all day everyday. Your delivery is so calm and I feel such a sincerity in your voice…not too excited, just matter of fact but not making anyone feel bad about what mistakes we all make. I’m totally depressed about my weight and health right now. I’m isolating and just staying away from the world which is a result of how I feel about being overweight. I’m here to learn more about this diet and have decided that I will try it based on all the info online. Please pray for me, I need a drastic change or I fear I’m going to die😢😔. This video was so helpful. If anyone has any advice on other experts to watch or follow I would sincerely appreciate that very much. Thank you🙏🏼
Eat good meat. Treat yourself to a good ribeye. Learn how to cook meat properly if you don't know how (plenty of fantastic and easy to learn videos out there). Stay hydrated. Do not neglect to get electrolytes; you can end up with painful cramps if you don't. Magnesium (look up Keto Chow drops or Calm magnesium powder) is very helpful.
So I started my carnivore way of eating a little under 4 weeks ago. I was at the stage where everything hurt, energy was really low, i was napping 2 or 3 times a day at 65 years old. I was exhausted by the smallest physical tasks and about to accept that my trajectory was down quickly from here to a rocking chair and shawl within less than a decade. I was woken regularly with stabbing pains in my legs and hands, a few arthritic joints that came to always hurt after a while. I can only sleep on my side but both hips and shoulders on both side hurt so much I would literally swap sides 40 times a night, if not more. I was sleeping, inc naps about 13 hrs a day and i couldn't make a fist as my arthritis meant my index finger only bent half way in and finally i had a six month pregnant pot belly, although the rest of me was slim and i couldn't shift it..........not good. After two weeks eating just meat, salt and nothing else, all of these symptoms disappeared except the pain in my shoulders which was half fixed. As i write they are now completely fine and pain free. I can't even remember when i had this much energy, when my mood was this good and i was this pain free; maybe in my 30's. Funny thing was that i loved meat at that stage, never ate vegies or salad if i could avoid them. My ex wife used to say, "you're going to have to change your diet, it's unhealthy and you're starting to smell like meat. I was honestly shocked how quickly things healed and repaired eating carnivore; I have a ne lease on life. It was the "Petersen's family story that convinced me to give it a go.

4 years ago I went carnivore, lost weight, got strong, came off meds, felt the best I have ever felt in my life! Unfortunately “certain events” pushed me off course and I regret it so bad cos I lost all my gains. Now, in my sixties and desperately trying to get back on track and you are my inspiration Dr Chaffee❤ Carnivore is the appropriate human diet in my opinion, everything else makes me fat and sick.
This has always confused me about the modern diet. Like the food pyramid and calorie counting. Literally none of that was even possible 100 years ago. We didn't know about the calories, nutrients, etc, on the molecular level. And lots of people never had access to the whole pyramid with its grains and fruits and fiber and whatnot. A varied diet like we have now is a luxury compared to historical standards and even prehistorical standards. But people survived and thrived regardless. Why? Because meat or fish is everywhere. Edible fruits are not everywhere, edible grains are not everywhere, etc. So people just ate meat and didn't calculate or count anything because meat just contains all nutrients that we need. We didn't go like "oh man I couldn't find enough fruits today, so we're going to starve unless we find our daily serving of fruit, even though we have enough meat to completely fill our bellies"
I'm just now getting started. I pray it works for me also. I have joint pain everywhere. my bones pop all the time. tired, brain fog , depression, anxiety. I've slowly stopped the soda. once in awhile i treat myself. But I will definitely try this diet. I'm tired of all my ailments.

Hi from Canada. I am 61 and decided to do Carnivore. I hope it helps with my Hypothyroidism. I was craving Ribeye and just finished one. I cooked it in butter with S & P. OMG it was so good. I polished off the whole thing. I started off with IF and cut out bread all Wheat Products. Got rid of all the junk and in a month I have lost 12lbs. Today, I start Carnivore, thanks to You and Dr KenDBerry for all the information.... meat and water.
Did it work for your hypothyroidism? I have this too. Along with recent diagnosis of conjestive heart failure. Plus I have atherosclerosis, heart surgeries, high blood pressure, cholesterol, obesity, and all kinds of medicines for these ailments. Other than these, I feel great! So, I'm gonna do this carnivore thing and see what happens. My doctor advises against it but the way I look at it this is my last shot.
It happened to me. After keto/carnivore for three years, I ate a piece of cake at my aunt’s 90th birthday party. It totally messed me up. It took three weeks to get past the cravings and intense hunger. Big regrets. For me, lapses are a no-go.
Similar experience. I had finished a month of whole 30, felt and looked great. Went to a party, had a drink, a cookie, had fried chicken later..the next day my face was almost swollen shut.
Thanks, Dr Chaffee. Perfect summary for those who are new to carnivore or are thinking about trying it. I’ve been watching Shawn for years but I never tried carnivore until I discovered one of your interviews, a long one, which is the format I prefer. Don’t underestimate the impact you are having.

I just learned of this diet a few days ago. I look around and found your UA-cam site. As I was watching your video I recalled a tv show about a survival contest in Canada. It was who could survive the longest in the wild. The guy that won had killed a huge moose. Every week or so people with doctors would check on him. They would weigh him. He said something I haven’t forgotten. He said. I don’t know why I’m losing so much weight? I have 250 pounds of meat.

Dropped 17 pounds in around 3 weeks. I am 44 and weight lifted all my life and now I feel as good as I did in high school. I used to try to balance everything protein/carbs, fruit, constant inflammation, IBS, gastric dumping. Gone. I know it sounds to good to be true, but it’s worked for me. You and the other Dr.’s I mentioned are now benchmarks in a turning point in my life. Thousands of dollars spent in the ER, Lower GI’s, medications , high fiber diets, Dr. Consultations, and the answer was found here. I am grateful for your time spent going against the status quo, never stop.
You are very welcome, I'm really glad that my videos have helped you. And I'm sorry that you had to suffer with that your whole life, but I'm really glad that you're able to turn a new page on a pain-free life and really experience good health. Yeah Bell issues like IBS and even IBD simply melt away on a carnivore diet. People don't realize that it's the plants that are causing these problems in the first place, not that there's something wrong with them themselves. I'm glad that you were able to discover this yourself and be open-minded enough to give it a try! Keep it up, it only gets better from here.
@@wefsux I source all the beef I eat from a local farmer. I started with half a cow, and then to a whole. Im starting on the 3rd cow in the past 365. Try also farmers markets. Still going strong, my weight is always stable. Inflammation is still down 95% of what it was. The only time inflammations kick up is from alcohol consumption which is almost 0 or social gatherings where I graze the food I don’t eat on a regular basis.
Thank you Dr Chaffee! You, Dr Baker & Dr Berry have started me down this interesting journey. I started about a week ago. It’s been hard with family & friends. They can’t lose the “vegetables & grains are essential” mind set. I’m in it to win it!
@@anthonychaffeemd hey doc don't know if you'll see this comment it being 3 months after the video I don't expect you to but, I did alright on carnivore for a bit but I always hit this wall this one day where I just suddenly feel like absolute trash It usually kicks in before the first week is over sometimes the day after day seven. Usually in that time frame. And it's made me feel shitty enough that it derailed me multiple times and I'm trying to figure out what I am doing wrong here.
@@thedoomslayer5863 had hard to say. Were you 100% pure meat and water? No coffee, fruit, sweeteners, etc? Were you getting enough fat? These are common ones to work through first.
@@anthonychaffeemdfirst of all I want to say thanks a million for replying to me, I really didn't think you would! Also bear with me this comment may be a little long but here's my experience on carnivore I was eating SAD then went to carnivore strict. Meat, salt, water. I always hated eating fat as it's soft chewyness disgusted me for some reason but I forced myself to eat the fat that came with my sirloin. I had really really bad diarrhea and very loose stools to the point I'd have to run to the bathrooms be it at home or work when I felt it was creeping on me I think I passed that phase because I just stopped going to the bathroom every day. Just when I thought I was in the clear I woke up one day with not much appetite and I felt weak, drained, lethargic and somewhat nauseous. I held in and tried to do some research on my own, found I believe it was saladino mentioning how he encourages us to eat fruit on carnivore And between conflicting information and my terrible state I caved and ate fruits, lots of them. I began to feel better the day after like I was suddenly normal again. I don't know if this is what you and doctor berry spoke about as "carb withdrawal" but I want to make carnivore work but I fear that point where I just feel so utterly terrible will happen again and threaten to de rail me just like last time
@@thedoomslayer5863 sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience like that. Yes you can definitely get car with through especially sugar withdraw but normally when you get diarrhoea there are three main causes: you're still drinking coffee, you're still using artificial sweeteners, or you're eating a lot more staff in your body can absorb. You will be much more sensitive to the diary effects of coffee and artificial sweeteners when you go carnivore, so there was the first thing is to eliminate out and go pure meat and water. If you have done that already then it's more likely to be that you're eating a lot more fat in your body can absorb and you can pull back on that and just eat less fat. I would definitely recommend going again though and doing things on a very pure meat and water basis and getting through the first two weeks because those or where you'll be seeing the carb and addiction withdrawal rules and afterwards you will hit the sweet spot where your body will just start humming. Good luck with it!
Now our story isn’t like some of the incredible stories of people reversing Parkinson’s and cancer as I hope never get to that point, but we have both lost stubborn weight we haven’t been able to shift for years. My partner 20 lbs and 10lbs and still counting for myself, however being young and very active people we both have never felt so good in our life’s. I’ve always had hormonal issues with my periods being a little off and now I have had 4 consistent cycles to the exact day in a row which I haven’t had for 8 years since coming off the pill. We are mentally focused, feel so incredible we can’t help wanting to share this with everyone we know. We have been trying to have a family for the last little while and I know in my heart this lifestyle change is what is going to make it happen for us. Been keto / almost full carnivore now for 3 months and have never felt better! Thank you so much Dr Chaffee
Im 29 years old. All my life (save college) i have sturggled with my weight. I am currently tipping the scales at 300 pounds. I feel awful every day. I cant get to the gym because of my exhaustive and demading work schedule of 12-14 hours a day. I had heard about this diet several years ago and didnt think much of it. About 6-8 months ago my older brother started having heart problems. Long story short he had to chage up his diet. He went carnivore. Had i not seen him in person, i never would have believed his reults. 60 POUNDS IN THE FIRST 3 MONTHS, and that was with no gym. Now, he is down around 100 pounds and just now starting back in the gym. This has inspired me to start the carnivore diet. I'm very excited (and a little nervous) to do this. But I'm tired of living like i am and honestly looking like i am. Being too embarrassed to go out and do stuff because of my weight.. not going on dates.. I'm just sick of it. So i have committed to the carnivore diet and my next round to the grocery store (in a few days) I'll be starting up on this. The lowest I've been since college was 229 and that was with hours upon hours of exercise. My goal is 100 pounds. I have doubts but I'm going to give it all i have. Mind over matter. Thank you for sharing this. If anyone has any tips, resources, etc., it would be appreciated and i am all ears. This is the first diet i have actually been excited about going on! However, i want to see this more as a lifestyle change rather than "diet." God bless!
I'm late to the party but just said a prayer for my strength and ability to enroll my husband and children. Amazing video 🙌 My husband is not one to jump on board for any kind of change in diet, but if my results are good enough, I believe that might be all that is needed. Our son is also autistic. In my bones I just know he'll improve without the carb load everyday. He is low spectrum, so it's really a focus issue (and he's extremely sensitive). Thank you so much for this video and the others. I don't think finding this was an accident. ✨️
I'm very glad you liked it! I definitely think it would help your son as well. Ketogenic diets have been used for years to help treat autism. Watch my interview with Professor Chris Palmer from Harvard, we talk directly about autism on that one. ua-cam.com/video/MmpkH7BbQeY/v-deo.html
I like this guy’s approach. I have a metastatic tumour which I refused treatment for since the prognosis was poor with treatment. I was told 6 months without treatment. I’ve spent the last 2 1/2 years being on a very strict vegetarian diet but the tumour is still slowly growing and I have skin inflammations so now I’m going to switch to a carnivore diet. What I have found is that sometimes, for my mental health, I need to allow myself to be flexible in my diet and I appreciate that Dr. Chaffee addresses this.
Keep us updated please with your progress, fingers crossed for you 🤞🏽🤞🏽 if you’ve never seen the documentary The Magic Pill there is a lady featured that beat cancer through Keto/Carnivore ❤
@biddydibdab9180 I had cancer twice. Cervical caught early at age 20. Thyroid, ignored & caught late, resulted in total thyroidectomy partial parathyroidectomy, removal of salivary glands, and lymph nodes. I think the real culprits were a bad medical system with a hierarchy that cares more about $ than they do about people. I feel that reversal of cancer is possible when the body gets what it needs. I'd do anything to get my thyroid back...even taking the cancer back with it! I believe that my cancer was caused from low iodine and selenium intake. I'm trying to get off all [p]harma drugs after my doctor's keep playing keep away with my thyroid med throwing my body through all kinds of ups and downs. I'm now taking animal thyroid, it hasn't been easy yet, but I hope that one day it will be. I'm to the point now that I think I'd rather die than give into doctor demands all the time. If I don't test on their schedule or whatever it is that they want me to do at the time, they will go no contact and refuse to refill my thyroid meds. I'm currently trying to find the right balance of supplementation for myself. But it turns out that iodine and selenium deficiency is common in the west especially, flies under the radar because they aren't tested for, and their deficiency is related to a whole range of dis-ease (fatigue, hair loss, all kinds of things - mental health issues too- from depression to psychosis). I feel that these vitamin & mineral deficiencies are the things we all should start paying attention to instead of the stuff that doctors/farma push to line their greedy pockets!
@@lora97006 I’m so sorry for the torture you’ve endured. The (non)action of your doctors is unconscionable! To refuse to refill your medications after they’ve made them necessary is diabolical. I have horses and supplementing with iodized salt AND selenium is essential (and addressed by feed stores) yet people are deficient and doctors don’t have a clue. Do your research and I hope you are able to heal your own body.
Awesome video!! I’ve been carnivore for 6 years but totally fell off last year and I felt horrible. I’ve been back on it this year and I feel better than ever. I’ll never eat any other way. Thank you, Dr. Chaffee for sharing your knowledge and your personal experiences with this way of eating. You have a heart of a teacher and I really learn a lot from your videos. Keep up the good work! Carnivore for Life!
most likely if you start fermenting lacto and bifido foods - breaking them down into amino acids and saturating them with bacteria - the body will easily transition as you supply it with the microflora for those foods. That is, the side effect is still due to the fact that the body does not have the bacteria to digest plant food and it is like poison. And if it is fermented with different cool bacteria, then the transition with carnivore will be maximally favorable and for the intestines and no bloating and in the stomach as calm as on carnivore. You can ferment anything. Raw vegetables, cooked vegetables and cooked porridge - turning them into yogurt - Food of the future - turbo food. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
Love this video! So, so simple and I really appreciate that. A few years back I started having some incredible digestive issues and no matter what I did, it wasn't going away. I don't even consider the MD's because drugs are the answer or surgery and I wasn't interested in any of that. So I got online and started searching, after prayer, because I was so desperate. Stumbled across IF and with that I lost over 100 lbs but still had a bit more to lose. I never stopped completely the carbs or anything but my natural inclination was less and less. Still searching for the answer to my digestive troubles, I heard that carnivore would fix it. I truly didn't think I could live without my fruits and veggies so I hem-hawed around for a while. I finally decided to give it a try and boy oh boy!!! No more flatulence or crazy loose stools which had me chugging Pepto regularly. And I don't miss the sugar and junk which is absolutely amazing to me, amazing! I still have a cup of coffee on most days but I'm even able to skip a day here and there. I feel so much better, I'm sleeping better and my appetite is practically gone! If I feel weak, I put just a dab of salted ghee in my mouth and I'm good for the rest of the day. I'm just speechless at how great this is working out and I don't imagine doing anything else. Now I know I will get the rest of the weight off without a doubt. It's so exciting and at 66, the rest of my life will definitely the best! Thank you, Dr., you are a gem!!
I’ve been carnivore since feb 1st! It’s the simplest lifestyle no more weighing and counting calories, just eat meat and fat ,no longer obsessed with the scale I’ve never felt better
Finally someone said it. You body knows when it needs food and it will tell you. Stop tracking calories and just eat until you don't want to eat anymore. Been living by this mindset and I'm stronger and have more endurance than I've ever had in my life
Wow, thank you so much for making this simple. I watched other videos and starting thinking that going carnivore was way, way too complicated. What you have told me is exactly what I was looking for. Eat when you need to eat and then get on with your life and think about other things rather food and amounts and types. Big THANK YOU!
Ditto, I gave up smoking and started eating carnivore on the same day, 6 weeks ago, never ever felt better, and no cravings for ciggies, even thought I was a heavy smoker for 45 years.
I wasn't sure about all this until I listen to you. Speak on another podcast. Best decision I've ever made for my health. Thank you for telling it like it is. I'm currently trying to get my entire family and everyone I know on board. I get disgusted when I open up the refrigerator or the pantry. And I have four daughters that I feel like I am poisoning every day with the food they eat and drink. I'm on a mission now. 🇺🇸💪🏻👊🏻🤙🏼
You are such a gentle and kind spirit. it is so easy to listen to you and trust what you are saying. Thank you for caring enough to share and to gently explain all of this. I just discovered the carnivore eating style and I am grateful to have landed on your channel. God bless you richly. I am about to embark on this journey. This video is most helpful. I am not over weight. I have not taken any pharmaceuticals for over 20 years. I am not a heavy drinker .. I am pretty healthy and eat quite healthy already.... Sooo... it will be interesting how this will impact my life and health. I will document all and take photos etc. Again thank you for your gentle spirit and willing servant heart. Love and Peace...

I have Crohn’s disease and I’ve been struggling with it for 2+ years I’m gonna try the carnivore diet now and see if it finally cures me pray for me. Thanks 🙏
Give us an update, I'll be trying as well. I'm transitioning my diet because I don't want to throw away all the food I bought. I don't have Crohn's disease yet but my dad does. I had blood in my bowel lately and it made me think that I have to fix it before it's too late.
Good luck! I am at day 7. Hoping to get better regarding ADD, chronic fatigue and hashimoto. I am quite convinced and hope to see good first progress in three months.
Update 5 days later: blood is still in stool and it doesn’t seem like it’s working so far how long does it take for the carnivore diet to go into full affect against crohns ?
Thank You. I can’t believe how much this has changed my life. My whole family sees the difference in my attitude energy mentally and physically condition. Thank you for your work and effort.

First week going carnivore. Very grateful for your advice Anthony. Was put into you by my friend who introduced me to the carnivore thing. Prior to that I would have scorned it I’m sure but listening to you and what it has done for my friend I’m now completely on board. 63 yrs and time to make a whole life change. BRETT
Today is my first day as im wanted to get rid of joints and spinal pain, couple lipomas and overall bad body conditioin. Wishing all the best to the autor of this channel, and all the Carnivoras out there! Peace✌
This stool advice is brilliant. I always thought I had a sensitivity to meat because of immediate and explosive diarrhea after eating a certain amount - but once I trusted my body didn’t need anymore for that day, even if my macros were low, I saw a huge improvement all the way around with mentality, health and how I felt and slept. It is amazing how little (food) you need when eating carnivore/ketovore. It can actually be alarming b/c we are so used to eating massive amounts and the “you need this amount of calories for basal metabolic rate.” advice that has been drilled in for decades. (I’m a nutritionist and Kinesiologist). Thanks for always keeping it simple.
Thank you, I'm glad it was helpful! And that's very flattering coming from someone of your background. And yes, there is so much information being pushed out there for decades that doesn't really hold up in real world situations
If you wanna see something that will make you laugh your a** off and it's the ultimate definition of explosive diarrhea look up the diarrhea scene from the movie Van Wilder
For the first time in three years of learning and implementing the carnivore lifestyle, I finally understand what to do, how to begin again and how to stick to it. I am going carnivore because of cerebral palsy, depression and anxiety and thanks to your informative video Dr. Chaffee, I have hope and inspiration to see it through. Thank you for this amazing video!
That's amazing Jason thank you so much for sharing that! I'm really glad that my video was able to help you and I wish you the best of luck with your health and journey going forward!
I started it last week and lost 4.6 pounds in one week I don’t have much to lose to begin with like only 15 pounds. I’m 136. But on Sunday I wanted sugar so I had apples and some peanut butter - then yesterday I overate on meat and added some cheese and now the weight is kind of back to where I started….its frustrating. Any tips?
I greatly appreciate this summary of getting started. I’ve been binge watching videos from you, Dr Barry and Steak and Butter gal these past few days. I have watched Dr. Barry for quite a while but I have never gone into the carnivore way of eating before. So this was very helpful. My biggest fear of doing this is the diarrhea thing but your reasoning of how to take in fat was helpful. As a healthcare professional, I appreciate your desire to help people. I’m surrounded daily at my hospital who think what media and the three or four letter groups push. I appreciate you thinking for yourself and researching. A trait not common anymore. Blessings
Thanks for the info. I also need to work on an empty stomach. I work outside and it is a very physical job. At almost 60 I have learned to eat when I am hungry and never am concerned about limiting hydration. This small homestead is the best workout I have ever had. I raise my own food and buy a half of a grass fed steer every year.
Today was my first day! I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 10 years ago and I am really hoping this will help with the inflammation. Super excited to start this journey.
Glad this dr is taking the time to help. So much contradiction on UA-cam eat this eat that. Ive started carnivore 3 weeks ago lost 5kg . My gums used to bleed now nothing. My sinuses have reopened im energetic. Much happier now and also it seems i have adjusted quickly
I’m only on my first couple of days on carnivore. Mainly doing it because of psoriasis. I’m really excited about it and bought beef tallow and lots of grass-fed meats. Hopefully this helps my skin ❤ I am also journaling my experience to look back on the progress. Thank you Dr. Chaffee!
@@pepepepe9682 it’s going very well :). The first thing I noticed was that I got rid of stubborn fat and my body started to look more feminine and curves in the right places ;). My psoriasis has cleared about 90% although I still have two stubborn patches that I am still trying to heal. I have also noticed that when I would get bored of eating the same meats then I would just change the type of meats to help me continue. Currently, I am eating more fish like cans of sardines in water (I know not everyone likes it) and that has helped clear my skin.
I like your style doctor. Your demeanor is perfect for teaching. As a kid vegetables always made me sick. Whatever was sold to me as healthy made me sick. I was chastised as a kid for my unhealthy meat diet. Watching your video put me back on track. Eat what makes you feel the best. Trying the healthy so called lifestyle demanded by others has made me nothing but sick. I do fast everyday and it's an easy habit that I prefer. At this stage it takes no effort. Thank you for all you do
I love the idea and the results of this diet. No restrictive diet is easy no matter how it looks. On listening to this video, the no dry seasoning, home made to eliminate sugars in the packet seasons, makes me know i am going to struggle, big time.
My dear Dr is supportive of my carnivore diet. To prevent going on insulin I started out on carnivore Nov 27, 2023, when blood glucose was in the high 18's. As we have no fridge, I had to act decisively and cut on everything except red meat, some chicken, and occasionally also fish. No alcohol as I am on anticoagulants, then also no teas, coffees, neither juices nor sodas. Just good old tap water, which is of very high quality where I live. Sugar now averages 5.5, twice 4.2, once 3.6 - the latter a bit of a crisis. After two months, intent upon staying on the healthy, tasty side of food: carnivore. I only eat when hungry or when blood glucose drops too fast. No browsing nor snacking. It's not easy if you come from austerity in the first place.
Thank you for simplifying this amazing way of eating Carnivore gurus are trying to make this basic lifestyle soooo complicated but it really isn’t Thank you for breaking it all down for us so we don’t have to obsess about what we’re eating and worry about Macros Absolutely love the way you break it all down to just The Basics
I've been carnivore since the New Year. What it has done for me is: losing 20+ lbs so far, endless energy, my face looks younger, no joint pain, body recomposition (and I really don't work out) and changing my relationship with food. I'm 48. Previously I was Paleo then Keto then Ketovore. The problem I had was binge eating, it never stopped until I went carnivore. I was also a beer drinker but I quit last July, it was when I quit drinking that I started with the bingeing. Carnivore has helped me to relearn my hunger signals. Now I occasionally will try something like chocolate (a very tiny piece) or a vegetable and truly taste it and what I find is I don't like it as much as I used to because I like the way I feel so much better and I don't want to lose that. I'd like to try alcohol again now that I feel I can moderate but I know the issue there is losing inhibitions and possibly eating crappy foods with it so I'm not sure I'm ready to go that route. The one thing I won't give up is my morning coffee (with cream). I DID give it up and although I functioned fine without it I really missed the routine of it and it didn't seem to bother me when I reintroduced it. One thing about giving up foods and then re-trying them again is you learn if you have sensitivity to them, I always thought I had a sensitivity to onion and now it's obvious that I do. Thank you for a great introduction to Carnivore 👍
Thanks bro for making it clear the way you do! I've been circling around this subject for some time now, and today I've begun (after watching this video yesterday). It's late afternoon now, and I've begun full-on carnivore since I got up, other than coffee (but reducing the amount, as I intend to phase it out completely.) I felt a difference right away, in skipping tons of carbohydrates like bread and granola and fruit or fruit juices all of which I'd have eaten by now (namely, my blood sugar swings have been missing). I'm in my late 60s, slender and have never had a weight problem, but I'm hoping that my tendency to depression and mood swings and my increasing "O.G." lethargy can be lessened or eliminated. Granola with kefir (a kind of pourable yogurt) has always been my preferred breakfast -- but this morning, I fried two eggs in butter, then a hamburger! I found some really nice 75% lean burgers, yummy (even without condiments). I ate some fish for lunch, and drank plenty of water. Just going entirely free of both bread and potatoes, as well as fruits and sugars, already feels pretty radical (how many of the foods I ordinarily eat daily are completely out of the picture)! But as evening approaches, I'm feeling cheerful, energetic and optimistic. I'm gonna buy some more fish and meats at the grocery tomorrow, along with a big salt shaker and some better water!
Been on carnivore going on 3 month now after watching your how to carnivore videos. I had already dropped 3stone 10 lbs on keto but feel much better on carnivoire. No migraines, No stomach upset, work hard, training 5 - 6 days a week running, swimming again. Feel great thanks for content. Would like to see some advice from you on a weekly workout routine for building muscle.
I love your description of what it was like the first month of deciding to go sober. I felt the exact same way. I save money, and it’s funnier to watch people be drunk AND you can feel safe on the way home
I feel way better mentally and digestion-wise on beef only than when I was following Saladino's advice and having multiple oranges, bananas, pomegranates etc everyday.
Saladino changed his mind due to his thyroid and testosterone starting to suffer, so he said. Instead of doing what many carnivores think would be common sense and eating more protein to kickstart gluconeogenesis (something he used to talk about frequently), he decided to add in carbs. Not really sure why he didn’t just make that simple change and eat more protein. He’s starting to look a little withered now that he’s ingesting so much sugar.
When a carnivorien start eating fruits and honey he is not carnivorien any more .... step by step he will go back to eating wheat and complex carbs... the same cycle will be repeated
I'm sure Saladino crashed on carnivore and felt he had to add carbs back in because he ate too much organ meat. But he can't admit that, can he, with his million dollar organ supplements company.
Dr. Chaffee, I enjoy your videos and your calm, steady delivery. Keep bringing it. That being said, I have to work harder at just drinking water. I am having a big problem coming off of diet drinks. and a few "sugar free" condiments. I'll get there.
Thank you, I appreciate it! Just keep working on it and you'll get there. You're already doing far better than most people, so just keep moving forward
Same here. It took me three years on Keto to finally get rid of Stevia/Erythritol... they were bloating me. And all the other sweeteners are even worse. I have gotten used to drinking unsweetened, very weak, decaffeinated coffee... and I feel SO much better!!!
Neisha Salas-Berry has a video on how to get off diet drinks. Her channel is Neisha loves it. What you is cut your diet drink with sparkling water. You gradually add the sparkling water to the soda until you no longer want the soda.
Great concise video. You are right, is very easy to under eat on a carnivore diet. I find it very easy to do OMAD on carnivore. However, I find that’s not best for me. Given what you say about the fast-mimicking benefits of carnivore and not feeling the need to have long daily fasting periods and adding in one or two additional meals a day I feel MUCH better!
Same here, been stalled for weeks on the weight part, but not worried, I know it will come off eventually! How could it not. I think my problem is not eating enough as well, hard to stuff it in when you're so satiated! I have increased the fat content a lot, but still not much coming off! But onward and upward!
Yea, i'm 10 days in and today I didn't feel like eating until 3pm. I had 350g of ground beef and I'm about to go to bed.. not feeling hungry yet... but that one meal is not going be enough when I get to a lower bodyfat %
Excellent video, Dr. Chaffee!! This info is simple and perfect!! Much appreciated! I’m into my fifth week of carnivore. I tried a couple of years ago but after three months started to hear about the honey. That seriously led me back to SAD. I’m back now and keeping it clean, once I got rid of all the stevia and natural sweeteners. I’m down to 25% regular coffee, and a few seasonings, but they are next…the last 5%. My favorite advice you give here is about the fasting.
@@jnorth9702 it has a ton of sugar and fructose, which is not good for you. It may have other things that are good, but fructose is fructose, regardless of the source
Thank you so much for all you do. I just found your channel through Dr. Shawn Baker. I am a former vegan - I became insulin resistant and on the verge of diabetes. NO way was I having that so I went keto for three years. My hair began falling out and this was not an age related hormonal thing - I quit keto and my hair came back but so did 10 pounds in I swear a week's time! The carbs tasted so fantastic but then I began to feel like total garbage. I have been carnivore nearly 6 weeks and I cannot tell you how AMAZING I feel. Subscribed to your Channel for life!! 💕💕💕
Im pre-diabetic and I was just wondering if I could do carnivore diet. I thought if you were pre-diabetic you were supposed to stay away from high fat and carbs. Im confused. I want and need to lose weight but I too am insulin resistant. I want to try this but don’t want to raise my blood sugar more than it is. Any advice?
@@kimmie_jo stay away from carbs, limit them to 50 grams per day. You must then eat more fat than you did before to replace the energy you used to get from carbs. After a while you can give up carbs(plants) entirely. You will then be fat adapted and should require no carbs at all.
I'm over 3 years of mainly eating animal/fish products and my health, skin and body composition are awesome! Men and women ARE different in how they respond to foods, so, as a 50 year old woman, these are the things I learned along the way. Hope this helps:
* I lost too much weight early on because I wasn't eating enough and I wasn't eating enough fat.
Thank you

May I ask what everyone drinks ea day on carnivore? Water sucks plain ...I'd love to smash some lemons in ice cold water but idk if that will screw things up?

My wife and I started this diet around 6 months ago. It’s mind blowing on what are bodies look like and have become! We do cheat 1x week and drink 4 days a week and still insane results. We are both in mid to late 50. The arthritis and joint issues and are completely gone for my wife. We literally ate salads packed with organic vegetables around 2 x a day for 30 years and it’s the salads that seemed to be the problem. “That’s actually crazy to say!”
My wife had I recently had a spinach salad with chicken and her arthritis came back within hours???
If you told me this a year ago. I’d say your crazy.
The only bad part is we keep having to buy new cloths because our others don’t fit anymore. Lol
Even know we’ve been walking and at gym our entire lives we were fit but nothing like we are now.
Oxalates in veggies are to blame. I’m so glad you’re better! I’ll be joining you!

DITTO!
wow! thanks for sharing, gives me inspiration!
Very impressive! Certainly motivates me, thank you for sharing your experience

How are you getting on ?
When I went carnivore the first time, I would have loose stools and diarrhea not long after meals, sometimes up to 3-5 hours after. I read a tip that helped tremendously and that was to not guzzle water during my meals and to wait an hour after eating to drink water. I do want to say that NOT everyone has this issue because my carnivore group sure didn't but I did. Just putting this out there for someone.
Same issue here
@@donsmith8300 The good news is that the issue never came back and only does when I drink water during a meal. Its a hassle but just a small annoyance. I'll deal lol

Hi! I definitely get this. 3 weeks in and still 💥💩 I will try to not drink so much. How many glasses did you have to balance things out?
Awesome!

Interesting.I have been suspicious of addiction/food connections. As a child I put table sugar in my milk, orange juice, frosted flakes.

I loved that line. It's amazing how simple life is when you live it the way your body is designed to operate.

I needed to hear this today. I had heart attach at 69 same day my sister had stroke and she passed. I stopped my brelenta at the one year mark. I only weigh 140 want to get to 125 and be healthy. You got me motivated to start this carnivore again. Thankyou for being here for us!
It's been one month since you posted. I'd love to hear how you're journey is going bc I'm almost exact situation as you, but, I'm ten yrs younger & just started Brilinta 6 wks ago for stent to treat heart attack. I truly look forward to hearing how you've progressed.
How’s it going so far?
Any updates? How’s it going?
I also want to know!
That must have been awful!
Similar experience. I had finished a month of whole 30, felt and looked great. Went to a party, had a drink, a cookie, had fried chicken later..the next day my face was almost swollen shut.
I get it. I am totally addicted to sugar. Cereal is evil.
Exactly, and for me like heroine for others, a little every now and then, simply is NOT an option.

Same story. And don't get seduced by people that say: "a little bit won't change anything". That's a big lie.

I can relate. My 2nd day on carnivore, and while staying with it strictly, I do get the urge to eat something carb especially bread, but I'm holding strong. I'm giving myself 3 months to reset myself, and experience all the wonderful benefits I see many others talking about. Just have to say you are the wisest health person I’ve seen and I got more out of your video in the first few mins than I have in hours of other videos combined! This is a major help. Thanks so much!
You didn’t give the reason for his weight loss, so I’m guessing it was due to moose being very low in fat.

Thank you for giving me the resources to build on for changing my life. Also thanks to Dr. Berry and Dr. Baker. I suffered from IBS ALL MY LIFE. GONE. Before I went carnivore, I was intermittent fasting with good results, but not consistent. I was only pressing pause on the poisons I was eating. After three days carnivore everything changed. Now six months in chronic inflammation in hips gone. I was scheduled to have surgery on a torn meniscus, and labrum in hip. I am running without pain or popping, and squatting again.

@@anthonychaffeemdfirst of all I want to say thanks a million for replying to me, I really didn't think you would! Also bear with me this comment may be a little long but here's my experience on carnivore
I was eating SAD then went to carnivore strict. Meat, salt, water. I always hated eating fat as it's soft chewyness disgusted me for some reason but I forced myself to eat the fat that came with my sirloin.
I had really really bad diarrhea and very loose stools to the point I'd have to run to the bathrooms be it at home or work when I felt it was creeping on me
I think I passed that phase because I just stopped going to the bathroom every day. Just when I thought I was in the clear I woke up one day with not much appetite and I felt weak, drained, lethargic and somewhat nauseous. I held in and tried to do some research on my own, found I believe it was saladino mentioning how he encourages us to eat fruit on carnivore
And between conflicting information and my terrible state I caved and ate fruits, lots of them.

In my bones I just know he'll improve without the carb load everyday. He is low spectrum, so it's really a focus issue (and he's extremely sensitive). Thank you so much for this video and the others. I don't think finding this was an accident. ✨️

As a nutritionist will we get all essential vitamins and minerals that our bodies need only eating meat and eggs?

@@jamesgilmore1684even if one isn’t a nutritionist, many experts say all nutritional requirements will be met with carnivore woe.
I’ve just turned 80 and have started the carnivore diet today
Just looking into it. I see you started a month ago. How are you feeling and how is it going?
yes please!
Amazing!! Update please!!
Yes, update please!
Wow
For the first time in three years of learning and implementing the carnivore lifestyle, I finally understand what to do, how to begin again and how to stick to it. I am going carnivore because of cerebral palsy, depression and anxiety and thanks to your informative video Dr. Chaffee, I have hope and inspiration to see it through. Thank you for this amazing video!
That's amazing Jason thank you so much for sharing that! I'm really glad that my video was able to help you and I wish you the best of luck with your health and journey going forward!
How’s it going?
Just jumped on the carnivore bandwagon to lose weight/ better my overall health. Wish me luck guys!
Me too . Did you get carb flu? I did . Better today
@@JulieCostello-xq2wq I fell of I’m afraid. Did so due to intense sugar craving which are probably apart of keto flu. Getting back on it
So, how are you doing?
@@kimberleykooijman5848 Doing well as of now. Just taking it day by day and making sure I stay active.
Blessings
Meat! Salt! Water! Easy, solid & straightforward advice. Thanks Dr. Chaffee! You're the best! :)
Thank you Allie!
Hey, grats on the progress. I was wondering though, how do I get enough fats? Do I just eat fattier cuts of meat?
I’m only on my first couple of days on carnivore. Mainly doing it because of psoriasis. I’m really excited about it and bought beef tallow and lots of grass-fed meats. Hopefully this helps my skin ❤
I am also journaling my experience to look back on the progress. Thank you Dr. Chaffee!
update lady, how is it going? I started 2 days ago
Thank you for simplifying this amazing way of eating
Carnivore gurus are trying to make this basic lifestyle soooo complicated but it really isn’t
Thank you for breaking it all down for us so we don’t have to obsess about what we’re eating and worry about Macros
Absolutely love the way you break it all down to just The Basics
Can you tell me why Dr Chafee is against coffee, tea, honey, and alcohol? Thanks if you know why.
@@jnorth9702 sorry answer? Because they are all plants.
That's great Tammy, I'm really glad to hear that! And thank you very much, I'm glad that you've found my videos helpful
AWESOME! That’s fantastic ❤️🔥😊
This is so cool, thanks for sharing.
Congratulations yeian and for those who don't know a stone equals 14 pounds
I love your description of what it was like the first month of deciding to go sober. I felt the exact same way. I save money, and it’s funnier to watch people be drunk AND you can feel safe on the way home
I’m actually about to start carnivore in 2 days but I stopped drinking when I got serious about getting in shape 9 months ago.
I feel way better mentally and digestion-wise on beef only than when I was following Saladino's advice and having multiple oranges, bananas, pomegranates etc everyday.
He used to be pure carnivore too, but somewhere along the way changed things. All that fruit you mention is a lot of sugar.
@@Betweentheraindrops8 hes got a crazy look in his eyes too lol
When a carnivorien start eating fruits and honey he is not carnivorien any more .... step by step he will go back to eating wheat and complex carbs... the same cycle will be repeated
I'm sure Saladino crashed on carnivore and felt he had to add carbs back in because he ate too much organ meat. But he can't admit that, can he, with his million dollar organ supplements company.
The best carnivore video EVER! Always hear and understand more each time over the years. It still helps me. Thank you, Dr. Chaffee.
@@Aura-us7jl I had no problem quitting stevia because I was so fricking angry when I read the side effects. I don't have much of a sweet tooth though.
@@Canary-q6y Stevia/Erythritol was the last and only sweet thing I was having. I'm glad I quit it though.
What's wrong with injesting honey? I hear it's good for one's allergies if comes from one's own location.
Good on you for changing things up 💞
Im pre-diabetic and I was just wondering if I could do carnivore diet.
