Government is slavery and needs to be completely abolished so people can be free. No one should be in charge of world health. But carnivore is the best way of eating.
I first started carnivore early October 2022. I weighed 302 pounds. I started by eating ground beef or a ribeye in the morning. In the evening I ate another ribeye or a couple New Yorks. Right before bed I drank 8oz of whole organic milk. By week 4 I felt like an animal. I felt so strong so resilient. I felt superhuman. It was insane how I felt. I felt like I could run through a concrete wall and wrestle a lion. 😂of course this was a feeling not reality but my body inside was obviously changing. This routine works for me. I am now 230 pounds with 55 to go.
What about acidification of the body? A friend warned me again today that her grandma has no metabolism anymore because of excessive meat consumption! Is it possible that this diet is not suitable for everyone?
@@Shadow93Manher problem is 100% not from meat but other things she is having. Carbs, sweeteners, fruits, starches, lactose, breads, pasta, etc are all sugars. Then plants; look out for all the oxalates. Also any other carcinogenic or toxic foods or processes like burning food, might taste great and bitter but it contains acrylamide from proteins and animo acids turning into plastics under high heat. Same for toast. Everything you eat, drink, and how you process it counts. Learn it all and you’ll know what to do from there, and what you’ll choose to keep eating or drink in moderation, and not as main. Also knowing whether you are eating something for entertainment/feeling versus eating things for nutrition. Then lastly, consider learning the Emotional Cycle Of Change. Based on the dunning kruger effect. If you tell your grand ma all these things, she might act uninterested, even pessimistic, but just know its a phase/stage for a healthier lifestyle. I had dozens of health problems gone within weeks from knowing these things. Then i shared my knowledge with my family, and soon they started also feeling amazing and shared to more folks. One of them is in their 80s and she is so grateful to know this new dietary lifestyle she now feels like shes 50 in her 80s, no more on meds, no diabetes, no more signs of dementia, no more joint and bone pains, no muscle cramps and aches. All this started from quitting all forms of carbs and strict dairy.
I have multiple sclerosis I’ve been on this diet for 6 months I do eat a bacon omelette once a week if I don’t feel like meat. Most if not all of my systems are deceased. Headaches, sleep problems, body aches, feeling weak. Those have all but gone away. I lost 51 pounds in 6 months. I highly recommend this diet for anyone with autoimmune conditions. Bonus is I always know what I’m eating, cooking and shopping for such a time saver. Thank you Dr. Chaffee you sir changed my life. 😊
Milk and cream is what I love most.... not sugar or sweets (candy).... I am eating keto for now whicg does not allow milk (maybe a few drops in tea/coffee) and small amounts of cream....I will move to carnivore in time....
I find that Browned Butter satisfies like a sweet, I'm a baker and this journey is so difficult in so many more ways than one. Its quite the experience to bake a Deep Dish Apple Pie with fruit from our own orchard, bake it in my famous piecrust second to none, take it to bible study on Sunday night, and watch seven appreciative people devour most of it. Not.One.Flaky.Crumb., one Caramelly drip, did I taste. Self control really is under-rated! I feel great. 😅
Absolutely… That seems to be one of the hardest things for people to move away from. We’ve gotten accustomed to putting something in our mouth all day long.
For those of us starting out, dairy is better than bread and rice etc. i still eat a bitof cheese and I do drink raw milk everyday both goat and cow. Let it fade if u must, but going straight beef has proven difficult for me as a lifelong sugar addict. Trying to make big jumps instead of baby steps has led me to failure at this diet in the past. Eat tons of butter too, butter fills a lot of gaps for me personally and it is satisfying. I also drink goat kefir everyday.
Yeah it sounds like you're doing it the right way, and if it helps keep you in track, then it's a good thing. Eventually it would be worth trying to come off dairy for a month to see how you feel and see the difference to make a decision long term, but either way you're doing a great job!
@@meanwhile4308 UNLESS YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO IT AND HAVE INFLAMMATION. some folks are and a carnivore elimination diet with gradual reintroduction of specific foods will unveil your issues. Many carnivores have a history of serious health issues.
I quit dairy and got through my weight loss stall, improved my gut and feel amazing!!! Carnivore since March, I have lost 25kg, my anxiety is gone and CPTSD is the best it's ever been. I'm sleeping better and just feel so happy from the inside out. Life is amazing on carnivore❤
Anecdote: I've been strict low-carb for almost 4 years, lots of good health outcomes. Mostly beef, bacon, eggs, salmon, shrimp, some chicken, butter, aged cheeses, nuts mainly macadamia, some berries, bit of onion and greens, coffee/cream. Tried adding in yogurt for past 6 months. High fat FAGE yogurt with no added sugar. 25g carbs in container. Started having persistent constipation, aching feet, and mirror showed abdominal weight gain. So cut out yogurt 3 weeks ago, aches receding, constipation gone, and mirror tells me losing some weight....
I did the yogurt thing too, as plain 5% fage was always a favorite, but yeah, constipation and acne come back, and a 2lb weight gain with a 2" increase measurement of my abdomen in about 12 hours, sucks so dairy other than butter is just a flat no for me, and I only do a couple of spice, no veggies or fruits at all anymore and I feel amazing
With me the plants and dairy effected my inflammation in my body badly. You will have to figure out what is hurting you. I am carnivore. 5 g of carbs a day thru my heavy cream in my coffee. The rest is animal. I am healing so many things. BP, BS, fibromyalgia, Cpap gone now.
I concur. Unfortunately, some at the top of the medical profession probably knew that the food pyramid would cause obesity and diabetes in many, yet they promulgated it anyway for political, financial and spiritual ( vegan) motives. Scary AF!
I love the presentation Dr. B gave based on the book, the thesis of which is that docs are just as fallible as the rest of us; that is, wittingly and unwittingly corruptible. This human condition began in the Garden when Adam and Eve fell and sin, deception and death entered the world. We must research and take our doc's advice with a grain of salt.
I"ve been in keto for 5 months now I'm doing carnivorous diet, because vegetables and seeds are giving me stomach problems. My metabolism has changed , my stomach problems have dissapeared, even my allergies. Thanks so much for this great interview. Greetings from Ecuador.😊
Thank you. I needed to hear this. About a month ago I decided to cut out cheese and joghurt one day by day basis. I mean I said to myself "only for today I will have no cheese". (Stopping yoghurt did not bother me.) So these many 24 hours turned into a month. I could not have done this any other way because I felt the addiction to cheese. The first two weeks it was really hard for me to go shopping and to ignore the cheese section. The loss of control I experience with cheese is terrible. It is exactly like you describe in the interview. I start "just having a bite", and then I find myself eating the whole block. In Europe we say that cheese closes the stomach. Especially in Italy and France people eat bits of cheese at the end of a meal. Nothing could be further from the truth. I have gone thru days where I was almost full (on meat) and then decided to have a bit of cheese to close the session. After having eaten the cheese, I was hungery again and was able to eat the leftover meat that I had originally intented to keep for the next day. No, I don't want this anymore. My guess is that this is how an alcoholic must feel about alcohol.
I'm the same way, Zora! But actually, I had gotten some not- so-good-for-my-personal-health info that said dairy, excluding milk, was all right. Funny thing, I had been off dairy for the past 6.5 years while doing the Virgin Diet. But, it stopped working for me after my health took a turn last year. I was doing good on Carnivore for 2 weeks (lost 14lbs and felt REALLY great) with just meats and butter, but then decided to add a bit of cheese before dinner, which has turned into eating plain yogurt when I break my fast, then my main meal of meat a few hours later. Lol. Now I know why I feel like doo-doo, and not losing anymore weight. 🤪
@@herbbowler2461 Vegans do not exist in nature. Vegans are the worst, since so many people and animal species has to suffer just for you to be able to chew on plants in the middle of the winter and all this herbicides and pesticides have to be emitted to environment so you can eat food which is not even appropriate for the cows and let alone humans. You are a bunch of mentally ill people who are so destructive and full of hate for everything and everybody. Still, I have only love and understanding for you since your brain is so malnourished - no wonder you cannot think and feel like a normal healthy person. We need and the earth needs a lots of ruminant animals to fertilize the soil and at the same time after certain time we should eat them, because in nature they would never lived to see an old age death which would also be very painful for them, but you are so out of touch to understand anything, ignorant to the core, and disconnected from nature. I'm sure that like 90% of you wouldn't be able to produce a bucket of herbs on your balcony, let alone be selfsufficent and produce all this plant matter you eat through the year. It is basic mathematics that knows no ideology - the simplest calculation shows that vegan has to eat so much more food in mass and will still be deficient in almost every nutrient known to humans. This is human hating ideology and I hope more and more people will realize that and save themselves and the planet by supporting organic food production and by consuming only locally produced food. This would also lead to reduced requirenment for plastic packageing and long transportation chains.
Thank you, that was very sound advice. As someone who is healing an autoimmune issue my body is experiencing, I am aware of dairy as being inflammatory for me so I have omitted it for at least the first 30 days. I am using the carnivore as a healing mechanism but also as an elimination diet and am going to slowly one by one try foods to see what my body enjoys and does cannot tolerate so I can heal my body and bring back optimal overall health as well as weightloss
Dr Chaffee is an amazing, more than credible resource. He is my ‘go-to’ for information. After 4 months on carnivore (no dairy), I’m beginning to experience the subtle healing. I didn’t have much weight to lose (20 pounds), that is gone. But the re-composition of my body/muscles, and a an overall sense of well-being that’s hard to describe-is making it clear I’m on the right track. I have no cravings for sweets, bread or wine, and 36 hour fasts are easy and feel fantastic. My only regret is not learning/implementing this earlier and with my (now adult) children!!
I am working on recipes for my great grandson’s, toddlers, the youngest cannot eat egg whites, they come running when I make my favorite big juicy burger so I make extra. ❤

I started 13 days ago watching your video on Beginning Carnivore....Tips and Tricks ...l was having Soo much pain and on Day 3.... l felt wonderful. Was eating Tylenol like candy the inflammation was horrible. Down to 1 a day ...maybe 2. I know it's bad because l was a Registered Nurse until l was injured in a Car Accident 13 years ago. Soo Thank you. I loved that you said Keep it simple...Meat, salt and water. My calories were extremely low at first until a few days ago. I bought a pint of heavy cream for scrambling eggs and it's the first time l have ever tried it. Now l am drinking some. I still feel great ..but am not sure if it's ok. Any thoughts on heavy cream. God Bless you for helping people to heal. I feel like l took a magic pill, Blood sugars were high and coming down. Thanks again. 🌷
Appreciate you spreading the word on this way of living, Doc! I have been eating an animal based lifestyle (meat, eggs, and some cheese) for over 5 years. Not only has it been life changing, but life saving for me!
"Have Dairy as a condiment, not as a meal...if you're hungry enough to snack on dairy, then you're hungry enough to eat a meal of meat...dont snack between meals." Exactly.
You just summed up my experience with dairy 🙈 I was strict beef for 2 weeks, felt great. Then added some cheese. Then watched this video to see if dairy could be a problem - and smirked when you mentioned people who only hear dairy is OK and overeat on it - the joke was on me. I began overeating on dairy AFTER I watched this video 🙈. At first, I tried to moderate my dairy consumption. Next thing I know is I'm only eating blocks of Brie and jars of Mascarpone for about 10 days straight plus added raw milk by the liter to "help my digestion" 🤣. My little lizard brain just went nuts... I only realized I have a full blown dairy addiction after the scale showed +4kg after 10 days from 59kg to 63kg 🙈🙈🙈 needless to say I still can't believe I've done that 🙉
I can believe it. I cut my dairy back to only 1 kilo of yoghurt a day and can't stop thinking about the second kilo plus block of cheese I was eating even after stuffing myself with meat and vegetables.
For me it's aged cheddar and similar 'bricks of umami'. Can't stop, won't stop 😅 It's worse then sugar, as far as total loss of self control is concerned.
Cheese is so addictive! My daughter asked me to pick up some Brie at the store two weeks ago, I just can’t stop eating it! I look forward to it with every meal, as well as goat cheese, raw Gruyere, and raw Emmentaler Swiss. I have to stop !! I can also eat butter by the spoonful, I’m definitely gaining weight, feeling lethargic and it’s making me crazy!
The first thing I noticed after eliminating my coffee with 3 T of milk was that my post-nasal drip disappeared and I'm not blowing my nose anymore. That was the only dairy I was eating!
Thanks for all this info. The only cheese I have is a little fresh ricotta with my steak or bacon and eggs. It’s so yummy. I enjoy the flavour. I am so grateful to have had this door open to a universe of good health. The first major effect I noticed when I started a month ago is breathing. I am breathing deeper, clearer and really appreciating the feeling of air going in and out. I also hung out for an alcoholic drink at about 4pm. Now I don’t even think about alcohol and it’s only been a month!!!!! I do 2 meals a day and am very satisfied. And I can still eat out!!! Steak and butter. So easy.
Love these information packed clips! It’s sad how misled we all have been, for so long.. Canada’s Food Guide chart, needs to crash & burn. Heath care system, is in the same boat. Lots of room for improvement! Much love from Canada ❤️
Watching the video then saw your comment. It is why I am here. That darn wonderful coffee and cream addiction of mine. Did you cut it out? Did it help you? I stalled at 17 lbs weight loss. I have 50 lbs more to go.
@@janetmichelle6829 Yes, when I saw the truth, I cut it out abruptly. If we want the reward, we need to bite the bullet sometimes. I only halfway missed it for 2 days but knowing I was doing something good for myself was enough motivation. Also stopped cottage cheese, cream cheese, yogurt, and the assortment of block cheeses stocked up in my fridge. I had friends that were happy to take these items so I didn’t have to throw them away. With Keto and Carnivore, there can be a hanging on to old food habits by trying to duplicate them to fit our new diets but that doesn’t work. We can’t just get our feet wet, we have to dive in because that is where we see the real benefits. The reward: 1) When I stopped the dairy, my weight immediately began to drop and I lost those last lingering pounds that just had not come off any other way. 2) The annihilation of one more addiction was liberating. To quote Jordan Peterson, “Restriction is freedom”.
I am 5 weeks into Carnivore… I have only lost 13 lbs… I have about 110lbs to go… which means my Weightloss should be going a lot faster in the beginning since I have so much to loose… 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ I drink half & half in my coffee, and still eat some cheese… I‘be been thinking, this must be enough to stall or really slow my Weightloss… these things I can reintroduce after Weightloss… but for now, I must drink coffee black and say goodbye to cheese… it will be worth it… 😁😁😁
I actually think it’s beneficial. Raw dairy and meat make you stronger than just meat. Nobody can convince me that drinking lots of raw milk is bad for me because it definitely isn’t.
@@borat9108 if you’re so closed minded, that’s your issue. I actually do know what is best for me. I’ll watch whatever I like. Go say dumb shit elsewhere.
Great video! Thanks so much. I’m one of those who cannot even tolerate butter. It gives me acne and heartburn. Even ghee makes me feel sick if I have too much. I cook in duck fat and stick to beef or chicken mince, Redmonds salt and water👍🏼
This is my second time watching this fantastic video! I watched it a few months back and again today when it popped up in my feed. Anecdotally speaking, my consumption of dairy was reasonably low since I started Carnivore 7+ months ago. I've dialed it back more in the last couple of weeks, specifically heavy cream in my coffee. I went from a moderate amount to a minimal amount (but still more than a splash). My stomach doesn't care for it, so I'm tapering it down, to see if I can cut it out, entirely. I've always loved creamy coffee, so this will be a challenge. Besides that, I enjoy a modest amount of Kerrygold, which I will cut slivers while I'm cooking my meat, to snack on and prime my appetite for digestion (I've heard it suggested to start a meal with fat to prime digestion and avoid any carb consumption until the end of the meal, if any carbs are to be ingested). I am VLC, to almost zero carb on some days. One aspect of dairy that I would appreciate feedback on is kefir. It's very difficult to obtain raw dairy in my area, so mine is pasteurized. However, it is A2 unflavored kefir (organic, I think), so I think it's a reasonably good choice. I occasionally (2-3x per week) have a little (5 oz). I use my old Jameson glass, since I don't use it for whiskey anymore.😊 That works out to approximately 7g of fat, 7 g of carbs, and 5g of protein. I sip it after dinner, like a cordial or egg nogg. Does that sound reasonable? Tonight's dinner was: two 1/3 lb burger patties topped with a little Kerrygold, a can of Season brand Sardines, A2 Kefir, all washed down with some San Pellegrino sparkling mineral water. Thanks again, Dr. Chaffee! I'm always learning from you and you're a consummate professional.
Hi Anthony. Like I was saying in the live chat, your research seems to be based on pasteurised milk with i 100% agree with. Pasteurised milk is like poison in the body. But if you were to compare meat to raw milk, I think you would change your mind about milk. When it is in its raw state, from a grass fed cow that hasn’t been shot with vaxs and chemicals, you’ll find the milk is very nutritious and healing. Raw milk products like butter and cheese actually heal your gut and don’t promote leaky gut. I fed our baby at 6 weeks old on raw cows milk. Weston a price recipe. Mum couldn’t breast feed. He had a hard start to life and wasn’t in good shape, but after he went on the raw milk, he gained heaps of weight and grew like a champ. He’s now in the 98th % vs 25th % when born. And he’s not a fat fat baby like formula fed babies. Solid muscle with healthy fat. I do feed him a lot of meat also. Anyway that’s a long post, love the research and info your putting out. 100% agree with the info you have put out, but you haven’t mentioned how good raw milk is for you. It’s like comparing apples and a can of coke. That’s how much the change is and that’s why people get so messed up on drinking milk. Can you please address this in another video? I would imagine it would be a while before you did, as it’s a huge topic with a lot of BS research papers hating on raw milk. It’s like trying to find truth in politics. Cheers dude
I completely agree. I clicked on the video thinking it was a discussion about raw milk, raw cheese, etc. It's pretty obvious not to drink pasteurized milk.
Why is pasteurization bad? It's only cooking the milk at low temperatures. I understand that it might lose some enzymes, but it seems extreme to call it poison.
Absolute milk lover here.....I have loved milk since I was a little kid, growing up I would go through 2 gallons every week...I only remember this because my mom would complain about how much milk she had to keep buying. NEVER had an allergy growing up but something happened in my early 20's and like a switch flipped I developed a cold that wouldn't go away in the spring of '94....months later when this cold wouldn't go away I started realizing I didn't have a cold but possibly allergies. Then went away in the mid summer and returned again in the fall and this cycle continued for over a decade and I couldn't for the life of me understand how I developed allergies out of nowhere but in my mid 30's I had an epiphany and started thinking how I seemed mostly allergic when I was exposed to fresh cut grass. It dawned on me...could I be allergic to grass because my body is overloaded with milk which guess what a cow eats to produce milk...GRASS!!! I really didn't think there was anything to it but I decided to quit the love of my life which was very depressing....did I mention I LOVE milk! After after a few months of never drinking milk again my allergies mostly went away. 5 years later I quit smoking and what traces of allergies I still had TOTALLY going away so my conclusion was that milk AND smoking was what was triggering my allergies. I'm 51 now and haven't had allergies since nearly 15 years.....I did however start drinking milk again a couple of months ago but tried 100% grass fed milk hoping that it was the antibiotics and hormones in the milk cows that were giving me allergies but unfortunately my allergies came back so I'm off milk forever now! Oh well....I tried!
@@itzakehrenberg3449 I have not tried raw milk.....I've finally gotten to a point in my life where I don't desire it anymore since I've been off of it for so long but I have considered raw milk, it's just hard to find so I haven't bothered but thanks for the suggestion. One of these days I may try.
Just finishing my first week of carnivore and I’m shocked. I’m 50, and not obese. I’ve worked out off and on since my late teens (more on than off) and didn’t start this really to lose a bunch of weight…hell, I’m not sure why I started other than the anti-inflammatory discussions I started watching and reading. After just this first week, I wake up clear headed (always struggled with this) and my overall mental-positivity is significantly better. The past couple of days I’ve noticed I’m not waking up stiff and sore - something I’ve attributed to just “getting older” I used to drink 2-3 sugar free energy drinks a day - I’ve stopped that and don’t miss it. The only challenge I’m having is getting bored drinking water 😂
I used to be a huuuuge cheese lover... my fridge was more of a cheese cave lol After doing some carefully controlled food elimination, however, I'm now 99% sure I'm sensitive to dairy protein 😭😭😭 Skin breakouts, mental and physical sluggishness, all that good stuff, albeit mild. Not eating what you used to love can be a struggle since there is so much emotional baggage attached to the behavior itself, not just the food. It definitely gets better though. I've also found that cheese also effs up my hunger signal so it's just not worth it!
I make my own kefir frim raw goat milk and raw jersey cow (A2) milk from grassfed ruminants local to me and I still have all the issues mentioned in this video - cravings, sugar cravings, weight gain, increased appetite and inability to keep it moderated. I love it and yes it’s sad but like anything else, getting over it is another dopamine boost and changing a maladaptive habit.
Danke Dr. Chaffee
Hello from Australia. Ive been carnivore for 14months. Wonderful results. Last few months I have become addicted to a vanilla yoghurt that i am unable to eat in moderation. It owns me. I have gone off it completely, as i cannot control it.
Finally....l am on Day 13...First time on Carnivore and 3 days ago l found Heavy Cream and omgosh....at first l added a few drops to scrambled eggs. Then l tasted the heavy cream...it's local and fresh and in a glass bottle. I woke up 2 days ago dreaming about the heavy cream. My calories were low .... because l felt nauseated and wasn't hungry at all. My calories were 300 to 500 a day...but no hunger. With heavy cream l was able to bring calories up to 1,200 to 1,500 hundred calories these last few days. But it's 50 calories per tablespoon. Way more calories than l thought. Now l am craving it. Soo l am not sure if l should stop....if it's considered more milk or more fat? If l can't stop thinking about it l will quit...Thanks and God Bless.
Also l was in Chronic Pain as well. I didn't realize it was massive inflammation. I have 5 herniated bulging discs from a car accident years back. Last MRI showed moderate scoliosis of the thoracic spine. So one Bulging disc in cervical spine, scoliosis of thoracic spine and 4 herniated bulging discs in Lumbar spine. So pain in spine from top to bottom. Plus terrible Fibromyalgia. A terrible feeling of stiffness and achiness. I was taking pain meds twice daily and Tylenol around the clock. I went on meat, salt and water. On day 3 l felt an overwhelming sense of well being. On my way to my pain Doctor, funny enough. She didn't care that l said l am feeling better, less inflammation Soo incredibly quick. She said "Stop immediately you are going to have a heart attack." She is around 60 and morbidly obese. She hated when l was on Keto, but this is intolerable to her. I told her l would quit just to silence her. And pain is her specialty? Of course l won't quit, zeal without knowledge is just noise to me. She won't look at the evidence. She's actually a CNP, not a Doctor. It's sad they won't consider something more natural for people's pain. I have eliminated 90% of my Tylenol...just one... maybe 2 a day. Such an incredible transformation, Soo quickly. I hopefully can lose weight and taper off the pain meds as l lose weight. I hurt my left knee last year and pretty much stopped Alot of activity. Now l am walking around the park... trying to rebuild strength and stamina. Slowly, but it's incredible...l feel like l found a magic pill. 🪄 ✨ But stumbling on the heavy cream...not sure if it will increase inflammation. I journal everything on this journey...will give it another day or two. God Bless...praying your pain will lessen and become manageable. 🙏
I made Dr.Kilz ice cream. Whole quart of heavy whipping cream and a bunch of eggs. Tasted amazing. I ate the whole thing in one day. Felt like total shyt for two days after. Got rid of my freezer. 😊
I needed to hear this. I don't drink milk, and since I stopped eating cereal, don't even buy it. But cheesemaking has been a hobby that is hard to let go of. I enjoy trying cheeses I've never had before. The advice to use it only as a condiment will help me cut down.
I don’t have any issues with dairy but I found it interesting that it can trigger insulin storage which I am trying to not do. I have a problem with eating plain yogurt as a “snack “ but now I realize I need to break that habit,so…. now I need to make some changes. I also noticed my weight loss has stalled eating a lot of yogurt.
I can just picture that exchange with his mom about the cheese, it’s exactly how it would play out in my family too! I think if you are hungry enough for cheese 10 m after eating a meat dinner you DEF did not eat enough!!! I do have a bit of cheese every day as a treat but it’s more of a palate/mental thing. I no longer eat cheese when hungry, I have it with the meal, and I also do sour cream. Sour cream and butter mixed with steak juices is the best thing, like…ever. I am very prone to cheese addiction and it will stall weightloss
The whole part about how when you stop eating sugars, you would need to “prime the pump” again or else you will show glucose intolerance…. Explains to me this traumatic event I had years ago. I was eating vegan and no sugar for maybe a year. Then I decided to go to a party, and got drunk on alcohol. I was in so much pain. I was so sick. The thought of alcohol made me shiver for 1-2years. My body was not in the habit of processing that stuff, it wrecked me. I couldn’t understand why I was so sick when certainly I’ve been drunk before, and not all of these issues. Anyway, makes sense now. And I’m sure being vegan didn’t help one bit.
Thanks for the nuanced opinion. Some say dairy is great, others say not one bite ever. Dairy used as a condiment makes sense. It's a flavor enhancer for the meat, not a replacement for the meat. I find it interesting that, when I first started carnivore, I had trouble moderating dairy intake, what the Whole 30 people call "food with no brakes". Now after several years of carnivore, that doesn't happen anymore. It wasn't that I developed more willpower, the cravings are just gone.
Dr Ken Berry and Anthony the unit are all I ever need to listen to. Ya'll inspire me, I am 153kg (337lbs) right now and I'm getting my bloods done and hope to lose 45kg (100lbs) in 6 months. Been on the diet 3 weeks and already lost 15kg (33lbs) and that's not even hitting the gym. Each week I'm feeling more confident to hit the gym.
Thank you for sharing your time, knowledge and personal experience with us! I’ve been carnivore since August 2021 and have battled my addictive behavior with dairy the whole time. I will night binge on plain yogurt or sour cream or cheese all because I justified using some heavy cream in my coffee or some other justification to use dairy during the day and then the craving kicks in. I need to just stay away altogether so my cravings will stop and my fat loss will start again. Thank you for the straight-talk I needed to stop the justification cycle.
Same here! I’ve also binged on heavy white cream. I am very addicted to coffee with cream and I think the cream is worse than the coffee for me. I’ve been struggling with this for months!
Doctor Chaffee, I needed to hear this video today. It's my 1st day of the BBB&E February challenge with Dr. Berry & Neisha in their mighty network group. I've been on ketovore since 2022. I need to see if dairy has caused my recent fat gain of 12 lbs in 1 month with inflammation or if it's hormones. I have been following Mindy Pelz book "Fast like a Girl" & added regular & sweet potatoes, more cheese, nuts & berries to raise my progesterone & try the flexibility thing. I worked hard to put my 20 years of RA in remission since starting Keto in September 2019. I'm now 49 years young & I did lose 60 lbs & reversed many other chronic conditions. My health has gone in reverse & it's frustrating! You're a Superman for metabolic health. I do appreciate your trustworthy knowledge. Love & Peace, Christine Peters
I enjoy 100ml 35%cream mixed with a bit of water with my meal. It has 3g of carbs(.1g from sugar). 100g of cheese has about 3g of carbs. I always keep my carbs under 10g per day.
What about Raw Dairy? Been drinking raw milk most of the 3 years I’ve been carnivore, after eating keto for 6 years. In this time I have reversed my autoimmune issues…Rheumatoid Arthritis, Celiac and Hashimoto’s. Interested in your thoughts.
I love dairy so much i used to consume it everyday from milk to cheese. However i have inflammation in my joints and i don't know what is the cause i decided to eliminate dairy and i feel like my joints pain is gradually going away i'm 2 weeks dairy free until now. i think it's the Casein amino acid that causes the inflammation.
I am on day 24 of carnivore diet. I am also of Ukrainian heritage and we eat a lot of sour cream. When I was on low carb/keto of 3 years, I ate a lot of sour cream with my burgers and vegetables. Now that I am on CD, I have zero cravings for sour cream or any other dairy, w/exception of Greek yogurt though rarely and when my body tells me I need it (cultured pasteurized bc can’t get raw in my state). I don’t have sensitivity to dairy (I checked), but when I eat yogurt or ice cream, for at least an hour after I eat them, I feel light film in the back of my throat that I try to clear but it doesn’t work. It just goes away on its own. I wonder if anyone else has that experience.
Yes, I too will have a post nasal drip from dairy. Also lower back pain as the vagus nerve gets irritated from the dairy. Best to eat very infrequently or not at all. Good Luck!
I keep my cheese slicer in the butter cubby. It's rarely used for cheese. When I cook steak I slice 2 or 3 wide swaths of butter to lay on top of the steak then cook it.
I haven't been fighting cravings. I went keto, was all into it, and I naturally started eating more meat and eggs. I still use liquid Stevia, and am decreasing it. My main "extra" I have now is egg shake with cocoa, half and half. And Stevia. I think that's my sticking point, and am now stopping those "they're so good" because I'm sure they are hindering my weight loss. I am finding out I am VERY sensitive to extra foods since I've cut down to basically meat, fat and eggs. When I reach my weight, I'll add things to see what hurts and helps. In the meantime, meat, fat and eggs every day, and tbh, I crave the stuff now.
I stopped drinking milk from last 4 months. I used to eat lot of eggs with mozzarella or cheddar cheese but I stopped eating cheese because I don't crave or have specific liking anymore. Now from last 15 days I started eating 8-10 eggs cooked in lamb fat.
Makes sense. I get your mom. Dinner takes way longer than expected & the cheese seemed better than grabbing the chips. This was informative. Gonna have to rethink the dairy in the house. 🧐
Day 2 of no dairy and man this is hard! I am more addicted to the hwc in my coffee than I realized. I even dreamt of it last night...lol. Added egg and butter to my coffee this morning and it's creamier than black but still craving the hwc. Going to hand in for a month to see if I can break this 8 months stall.
I'm in the same boat as you, but due to the fact that HWC has almost zero carbs and is high in fat, it's likely not in the same category as milk the way I understand it. It seems to be more closely related to butter than milk which may be good news to you.
I enjoy having Daisy sour cream with beef and pork at times. Cultured cream is the only listed ingredient unlike other brands with additives. I do this in moderation as it enhances flavor similarly to cheese.
I am lactose intolerant but I noticed with milk or cream it is like a laxative; cheese works the opposite; I think everyone needs to do what works for them; I have a mostly meat but their are days I include a few pieces of cheese, sour cream, and yogurt; I find if I change things up mostly eating at least 90% meat and 10% dairy or an occasional veggie or fruit; have eaten this way for four month have lost 23 lbs and several inches; what I notice is that my body is slow with weight loss but I really notice how it redistributing my body fat and the way my body looks; I'm trying to my best way of eating that will keep me healthy.
This is encouraging as I’ve been eating like this for about a week and I feel amazing. I enjoy dairy as a condiment and love grapes so I’ll be continuing to eat those as a treat too. I notice a slight difference from days when I just consume meat but I don’t feel deprived and still I feel way better than I did before.
Raw milk is very nutritious, especially with the living enzymes and beneficial bacteria. For those that want to avoid lactose, try aged cheeses, mozzarella (as long as it was not made with vinegar or other acidic ingredients), heavy cream, fermented dairy like yogurt or kefir, and butter or ghee. All of those have very little to no lactose. Just listen to your body, it will tell you what agrees with you or not.
Yes, some are lactose intolerant. In my case, I just have to limit carbs to 40g per day, which makes milk consumption difficult mathematically. For those who can take the lactose carbs, it seems that raw milk is the way to go.
@@Jewlz4ever And goat cheese! As blue zone ppl have been found frequently eat. Living healthily to 100 is enough proof of what's a good diet for me....
New member to the community - transitioning as I learn. Any good book recommendations on understanding insulin in the body? Love all the content, thanks for what you do!
Best books (also on Audible) for understanding how to reverse insulin resistance are those by Jason Fung MD. They are easy books to understand and can work with carnivore, low carb or omnivore plans.
I like the idea of a meat tray. Can you do a video on whether we need to worry about nitrates in bought / processed meats? I’m a newbie exploring starting carnivore and trying to figure out what I’d eat each day - other than steak and hamburger patties
One thing I loved about this channel was that research would always be posten in the beginning. That was amazing apart of that this is a great channel 💯
I’ve watched all the videos you put out and subscribed. It’s interesting to see the division even within the carnivore community and seeing carnivore influencers, some which are highly educated switch up their approach to carnivore even if they told you in the past what’s best. I.e. Paul Saladino. One that threw me for a loop after seeing a few ex-carnivores stray away and go towards the teachings of Ray Peat. Saying they felt agitated and angry when they just ate meat only but felt amazing once they started eating potatoes, adding milk and drinking O.J. And that sugar is a necessary micro nutrition for human health. That sugar is not what cancer feeds on but that it’s oxidative stress which effects the mitochondria etc. They say the body thrives off of glucose and not fat contrary to what the carnivores/ keto community touts. Who to believe? We have all these extremes and the internet is full of misleading information. What happened to all things in moderation when it pertains to foods? Vegans and carnivores are seen as extremes, but what if it’s in the middle? What if the carnivore diet is great for healing a damaged body simply because in essence it’s the elimination of all foods while allowing the body to heal but once that’s happened is it not good for long term? The one thing I give credit to you Anthony, is that you look healthy and fit which helps versus the other diet experts who look like garbage while telling you what’s healthy. Since you were once a top level athlete, it would be interesting to know your thoughts on getting electrolytes, what kind is optimal? Do you think creatine supplements is okay on the carnivore for athletes? Although red meat has creatine, it’s not the amount you would get if you supplemented creatine so you can saturated the muscles compared to just meat. It would be great to hear your perspective on these things since you were a former rugby player etc. Cheers!
I could not eat cheese until three years into carnivore (12y keto). I can also handle occasional piece of fruit well now compared to the past. So there is a timeline of healing. I am 65 and an elite- level athlete among my peers, so that may affect adaptation. Dr. Chaffee is interesting because he has never had the metabolic illness most of all of us have suffered as omnivores or vegans, yet to say he is strict in his adherence is to say the least :).
William just read the comments on all carnivore videos you research and how it is helping so many people with serious Illnesses. Long term, I've read some who have been carnivore for 10, 15 ,20 years with no problems. If it cures my illness rather live a shorter more quality of life than a longer sicker life but as of my opinion there is no evidence that I know of long term problems. There are actually certain communities/peoples that eat a meat based diet that live very long lives.
I recall someone saying that the Masai, for all their otherwise great health, have higher rates of joint issues. The speculation someone offered was that might be from dairy. So, it does give you a ton of nutrient-density that is awesome, but it might come at a cost. Even so, I'd love to see a debate about dairy between Chaffee and Harry Serpanos.
Doc, if you katana is sharp and not decorative, its to be displayed edge of the blade up. Otherwise the edge is potentially pressing down in the saya and dulling the blade.
This was an *exceptionally* valuable discussion of the problems associated with the consumption of dairy products by people on ketogenic diets. I have done Atkins and KETO on and off for the past 24 years prior to converting to Carnivore this month. I am a 61 year old white male who has been struggling with weight issues for a lifetime. My principal food addictions are to sugar and dairy. EVERY SINGLE PITFALL and BEHAVIOR that Dr. Chaffee describes and warns about happened to me. I would lose a lot of weight and do really well *until* my body and palette switched it’s addiction from sugar to one or more dairy products. At that point I would always stall out and grow exceedingly frustrated and finally fall off the wagon a regain a lot of weight. It’s terrible. I have stalled due to over-consumption of each of the following dairy products at one time or another: Cheese, Cottage Cheese, Sour Cream, Heavy Whipping Cream, Cream Cheese, Plain Greek Yogurt, and Unsweetened Coffee Creamers. Now that I am on carnivore I have deleted all dairy products other than butter, from my kitchen and my dietary regimen. I only use butter to cook with and as a condiment for lean meats. So far, so good. Been doing things this way for 8 days now. Weight is dropping. No food cravings. Belt is tightening up and pants already looser. Saving tons of money at the grocery store no longer buying dairy nor fruits and vegetables either. Money saved on those food items all gets plowed back into buying high quality beef, lamb, bacon, butter, Keto Chow electrolyte drops, etc. I’m feeling great and have already eliminated inflammation of my joints completely and am pain-free in that department for the first time in years! I know that everyone LOVES dairy, but LISTEN to Dr. Chaffee. He really does know what he is talking about. Go dairy free for 30 days. Most of you will not go back to eating it after you see the benefits. 😊
What was your experience, if any, with nuts?? I know those are not carnivore, but I was doing carnivore - no dairy - (except for cabbage juice for ulcers) and then when ulcers improved, added some nuts and other things.
Great video, really explains how this really works. Anthony made a very careful distinction about NOT eating the 'condiment sized only dairy' separately to the meat - its a vital point. There is a reason for this. E.g. dont have it (like a dessert) 'after the meal' on its own etc. I know for me, even if full, (of meat) - if I am not very careful to stop i t, I get a 'craving' for 'something'. Two things that come to mind, almonds or pecans or plain creamy Greek Yoghut. Obviously the subtle sweetness is still there like an addiction. ... Despite being full, if I put that stuff in my mouth, it just wipes out the satiety I felt before in a flash. It reverses the fullness, and Anthony described that process very well early in this video. It obliterates it. I could then eat bowls and bowls of it.... strangely given how full of meat I was a few minutes prior. Scary stuff when you start paying attention to the subtleties of how food works like this and how its been manipulated.
I have seen this look on people's faces, a look of joy and I'm about to slam a bunch of dairy when I tell them they can have it on a carnivore diet. 🤦♀️ This is definitely much needed information about dairy!💖

@@user-lo9cw6pq7j hi, I don't have issues with the sugar that is in raw milk ( the cream is great) but have never tried to fast on it ...I have a pretty stable source of raw dairy but there is some distance & the supply is limited otherwise I might try to live on raw milk alone
I constantly watch and learn from these videos. They keep me informed in case I want to try something other than just meat. I love milk and cheese, but right now I need to drop at least 60lbs and that's my incentive.
I do great on raw sheep and goat cheese. It has A2 protein, MCT and almost no lactose. I get too lean on meat only. BMI 18.3 and LMHR woman in menopause. Finnish / Dutch origins (dairy eaters). So I think it is different for different people.
A few autoimmune diseases here. Menopause made me even more sensitive. I guess you could say that once I reached menopause at age 55 I grew a "barometer". Most foods cause a reaction, and the elimination/reintroduction diet has been extremely telling. I tolerate dairy but I get addicted real quick. Can't do eggs at all anymore. I love them, but I get red scaly patches on my neck and face within 24 hours of consuming a food that I can no longer consume.. So ...just beef, water and salt for now.
3 months on carnivore, the only dairy product I have in my diet is a bit of cream in my morning coffee and a bit of cream in my coffee at night (decaf) 2 coffees a day. I 've lost 23 pounds. I eat rib eye steaks, bacon, eggs, ground beef, shrimps, tuna, a bit of chicken, pork once and a while.
I'm a type 1 diabetic. I used to eat mostly meat with few veggies and my sugars were great.. I then went to a farmers market where they had 'healthy' bread so I bought it.. ever since I've been starving all the time. I just started going back to eating meat .. only meat. Already I don't feel hungry which is so nice. I do drink coffee which I don't need .. I'm awake by 5am or sooner ready to go right when I wake up but I like coffee.. lol I'm going to order it from a place where volcanos erupt so the soil is very good like it once was on the planet.. so I don't think it'll be bad. Maybe eventually I'll give it up.. I think cheese and milk are okay though if you buy it organic and grass fed. I'm going to continue with cheese if it keeps me eating the meat. I'm using mms to cure my diabetes and meat is the only thing I can eat where I can go 8 hours to all day not eating because you have to take mms for 8 hours or it doesn't work.
There are other sources of dietary calcium; not just dairy. Bone broth, and just gnawing bones is a terrific source. Small bones (canned salmon/small fish) is another great source. Explains how people got calcium without herd animals.
Dr. C, I respect your sensitivity to plants. I do well with 3 or 4 veggies but have eliminated the rest, including all starchy ones. Somtimes, my dinner consists soley of a pound of salmon or beef.
A quick question- I’m carnivore 2 years now, but sometimes I simply cannot face meat or eggs - even after a fasting period over 24 hours - and feel ill thinking about meat. I’ve occasionally- and I mean v occasionally simply ate a load of cheese instead- to make sure I eat. Does this happen to anyone else and what is a possible explanation. ❤️
@@sebucwerd - actually lean meat is pretty tasteless- just my opinion - I’m ok at the moment- occasional problem- just wondering how common this ‘sickening’ happens with others ?
@@maisie6904 I have found that taste is an important indicator of hunger. You don't need to eat just got the sake of eating. If a fatty steak doesn't taste good, you aren't hungry and don't need to eat. Your body knows what it's doing

What do I need to know if I'm not going to give up black coffee yet? I don't use artificial sweeteners, dairy, or any substitutes. I think I've heard you make mention of magnesium issues?!?!?! maybe?!?!?!?
I can say this definitively. I quit all dairy about two months ago. For the first time in my life, I can breathe through both nostrils. I was a notorious cheese eater.
I add a tablespoon of organic heavy cream to my cup of coffee every morning. Can't give it up. I love the taste. I love cheese but eat it on occasion only. No milk though. Thank you for this video!

I have a casein allergy and after years of no dairy I'm also lactose intolerant. However, I recently discovered I can tolerate fully fermented, aged cheddar cheeses. Out of curiosity, I looked for and found a study that investigated the aging process, during which casein goes through proteolysis. After 24 months of aging, 90%+ of the casein was no longer detectable.
I would like to donate… HARDBACK.. “DEVIL IN THE MILK” .. it opens your eyes to the serious problems from eating Pasturized, Ultra-Pasturized dairy… etc..to Dr. Chaffee..
Insulin spike from fruit is fine when your metabolically healthy. The rules change when your not healthy like diabetic. You should debate Dr Paul Saladino. That would be very interesting and entertaining.
Apropos of "metabolically healthy," Dr. Phinney says that around 20% of the population has elite sugar burning genes, so these people can tolerate higher carb diets, which would explain how some can do well on grainy vegan diets. They should just not inflict these eating patterns on the rest of us, who become diabetic eating 200 grams of carbs a day. We need a diversity of dietary styles, ones compatible with all metabolisms.
At age 63 I've always pretty much lived on a diet of protein shakes [every morning] chicken, cheese and bread, with occasional veggies [mushrooms, celery and carrots] and never fruit. After recently hearing about carnivore from you and Shawn Baker I eliminated all veggies and most of my beloved bread [I try and keep my carbs under 30g with my dinner meal] and lost 10lbs so far since I started on March 1st /22 [now 5'10'' and 180lbs]. I have a few questions: Do I have to eat steak to get all the nutrients my body needs? When you say you can get all your nutrients from meat...does that include ALL meat, can I subsist on chicken breasts, hamburgers, and eggs? Everyone seems to talk about eating big steaks but that would be too expensive for my budget and I prefer the taste of chicken. Do you supplement at all? The only medication I'm on is Synthroid [had cancerous lymph nodes removed 2 months ago] but I do regularly take vitamin supplements, ie Vitamins D and K [live in lower-light Canada], Creatine to help keep from losing muscle mass, glucosamine and turmeric for my arthritic back pain and a daily multivitamin. Do you have any advice on whether to discontinue any/all of my supplements? I'm most curious about the creatine. Would adding cheese offset the lack of fat when eating lean chicken breast? Thank you for any insights and for spreading this way of eating...it's early in my journey but I'm optimistic!
Yes you can eat all meats. But we seem to be designed to eat mainly ruminant animals, so not all meats are created equal. I've been carnivore for 2 years and now struggle to eat chicken breast, my body doesn't want it. I can eat thighs, but only with the skin on and as a condiment to beef or lamb, on it's own it's just not enough, it's not satisfying anymore. Cheese is not a good source of fat because it's also high in carbs, stick with butter/ghee or tallow. Listen to your body, if your arthritis continues, cut the chicken and make sure you make your own hamburgers, the bought ones contain many things that will cause inflammation. Good luck.
Dr. Chaffee, could you talk about Kefir? Is Kefir a better option due to the probiotics it contains, and the low amount of lactose it contains? Also, if you allow the grains to sit in the milk for 36 hours plus, they continue to remove even more lactose from the milk and significantly increase the probiotic value.
I’ve found a goat milk farmer across the state line who can supply me raw goat’s milk. I’ve been learning how to make kefir with it for possible benefits to myself as an LMHR and my husband’s blood pressure and gut health issues. Since the fermentation process eats up the lactose, I’m hoping that my kefir gives benefits without huge spikes, but I don’t really have a way to know for sure. Anyone else know about this?
I like cheese and sour cream, but I have to face the fact that my body does not want it. I even tried goat cheese thinking the A2 dairy would be less problematic than A1 cow dairy, but I still break out and get inflamed just the same. It´s not the end of the world, but it can take some extra effort to stay away from it. Thanks so much for all you do 👍💞
Dairy has an insidious way of creeping up on me. It's true I don't have access to raw dairy but I suspect even that would be something I would crave more and more of. The point of animal milk and human milk is to promote growth, it does have natural growth promoting compounds in it. In the field of lactation counseling we use this to explain to moms why it is so good for all babies, and vital for premature babies. To keep it simple I will quote Kelly Hogan (if you haven't seen her channel look her up.) When someone is having issues "It's the dairy"! She has known this for years whether or not she knew about the science behind it LOL. Thanks for this excellent information.
Thank you very much, I'm glad you liked it! Yeah I think that dairy can definitely steal progress, or even slip you backwards, so it needs to be used sparingly
Any opinions or information on Raw Dairy, and whether on not it changes things? I've heard that Pasteurized Dairy is like a totally different food from Raw Dairy in terms of nutrition and even how we react to it. I have a source where I can get Raw, Grass-Fed A2A2 Yogurt and I was curious about incorporating this into my Carnivore diet.
Thank you so much for this informative video. I have started this carnivore diet 3 weeks ago. I have some anecdotal experience with how body can react to sugar (re-lactose sugar in milk). I gave up all refined sugar in a space of few years gradually reducing it. Socially aspect of this quite difficult. In the end my intake would be 0 grams/week. Maybe 1 tsp /month spread. So my body stopped being efficient at handling sugar, ingesting 0.5 tsp of sugar would make me really sleepy, getting sore throat and my bladder on fire. While on sugar free diet my body would react badly to refined sugar of course, also raw honey, brown cane sugar, palm sugar, xylitol. Coconut sugar interestingly had the least effect. My understanding is some people are much more sensitive to sugar even if they eat less of it, it is still very addictive. In regards to milk I drink organic raw milk since 2015 and organic grass fed free of antibiotics A2 milk. Since starting carnivore diet I completely lost interest in black tea with milk which i drank for the last 18 years. No cravings so far. But the milk doesn't taste as good as it did on my previous carb, veg, meat diet. So I made kefir and simple cheese (by draining sour milk) and those tangy foods are great additional foods or treats I can have during transitioning. Whey tastes good as well (fresh not the powdered one). Courious how my taste buds will change on this diet.

I love the book "Lies my doctor told me" by Ken Berry. I can recommend it :D
Love Dr Berry and Neisha!
I concur. Unfortunately, some at the top of the medical profession probably knew that the food pyramid would cause obesity and diabetes in many, yet they promulgated it anyway for political, financial and spiritual ( vegan) motives. Scary AF!
Dr. Berry is candid about the psychology of practicing medicine locked in Big Pharma's paradigm. Very insightful, albeit in a redpilling way.
I have it, it’s awesome

I had one tbsp shredded goat cheese and it was all I could think about for the next 24 hours. No more for me.
For me it's aged cheddar and similar 'bricks of umami'. Can't stop, won't stop 😅
It's worse then sugar, as far as total loss of self control is concerned.
And what about making home coconut yogurth? Is still healthy or is the same problem?

Great video! This is why my weight loss stalled. I also realized the hardest part of quitting coffee was giving up the cream.

Cheers dude
Hey Steve. I grate Le Gruyere cheese I get from Costco and put on top of my Ribeye. Could you please give me your thoughts on this raw, stinky cheese?

Did you try RAW milk? Pasteurization creates a lot of freaky protein combinations in milk.

What about aged cheese?
Just finishing my first week of carnivore and I’m shocked. I’m 50, and not obese. I’ve worked out off and on since my late teens (more on than off) and didn’t start this really to lose a bunch of weight…hell, I’m not sure why I started other than the anti-inflammatory discussions I started watching and reading.
After just this first week, I wake up clear headed (always struggled with this) and my overall mental-positivity is significantly better.
The past couple of days I’ve noticed I’m not waking up stiff and sore - something I’ve attributed to just “getting older”
I used to drink 2-3 sugar free energy drinks a day - I’ve stopped that and don’t miss it.
The only challenge I’m having is getting bored drinking water 😂

Skin breakouts, mental and physical sluggishness, all that good stuff, albeit mild.
Not eating what you used to love can be a struggle since there is so much emotional baggage attached to the behavior itself, not just the food. It definitely gets better though.
I've also found that cheese also effs up my hunger signal so it's just not worth it!
You are right. I need to address the dairy also, 😢.
Dry making your own grass fed a2 kefir. Ferments the lactose and can also make the protein easier to digest.
Most hard &/or aged cheeses like cheddar, gouda, parmigian are very low in lactose.

How do u make cheese without buying milk?
@iang3728 I buy it only to make cheese or yogurt, but that's very rarely now.

Awesome man, yeah I find the same thing. Even a little bit of the wrong thing makes a much larger impact than you would imagine
I stopped drinking milk from last 4 months.
I used to eat lot of eggs with mozzarella or cheddar cheese but I stopped eating cheese because I don't crave or have specific liking anymore.
Now from last 15 days I started eating 8-10 eggs cooked in lamb fat.
Yum, happy not to have cheese problems. Lots of eggs 🥚 but porterhouse is my favorite 🤩
Raw milk, cheese, kefir or cream products might be helpful for you. They're very different from the factory farm pasteurized products.
Anthony’s has dehydrated Cream the only ingredient.
@@helenf1439I am going to start making Kefir the process lowers the lactose and is very beneficial.
The struggle is real for me with hwc lol ..I absolutely love my cheese too but working on giving it up along with coffee ..it's a process 😊
Got it. Eat only meat and drink water = turn into a complete healthy BEAST. Great advice.!❤❤❤❤❤
I love raw goats milk. Just started. My gut seems to appreciate it greatly! That’s the only dairy I am ingesting. Thanks for your comment.
Yes, some are lactose intolerant. In my case, I just have to limit carbs to 40g per day, which makes milk consumption difficult mathematically. For those who can take the lactose carbs, it seems that raw milk is the way to go.
I am allergic to A1 so it doesn't help me, sorry to say.
@@SPDATA1 try A2 or goat’s or sheep’s milk.
Listen to Dr. Sten Ekberg on UA-cam. Very insightful.
I like the idea of a meat tray. Can you do a video on whether we need to worry about nitrates in bought / processed meats? I’m a newbie exploring starting carnivore and trying to figure out what I’d eat each day - other than steak and hamburger patties
Dr. Berry has a wonderful UA-cam video on nitrates/nitrites
One thing I loved about this channel was that research would always be posten in the beginning. That was amazing apart of that this is a great channel 💯
Thank you very much, I'm glad you like it!
Cheers!
ray peat is a psyop, dont eat a bunch of sugar thats dumb as hell
I completely agree
Im pretty sure that Dr. Anthony has not used electrolytes. He is a purist and done well that way.
Really helpful! I'm totally guilty of this particularly in social settings when everyone at the table has a dessert, I'll have the cheese platter
Hello Dr Anthony Chaffee, I truly enjoyed your Q & A on Carnivor with Dr Ken Berry. I'm from South Africa.
Blessings
Thank you for sharing yr experience.
I feel bad without one small yogurt a day. I need it to feel good.

Thanks for being loud voices in the world about carnivore, gentlemen!
I constantly watch and learn from these videos. They keep me informed in case I want to try something other than just meat. I love milk and cheese, but right now I need to drop at least 60lbs and that's my incentive.
Been overdoing the greek style natural yogurt 🤦🏻♂️
Oh my, us also.. not every day, thankgoodness!
I did that too. It stalled me like a mofo! I cut it out and weight loss resumed.
I do great on raw sheep and goat cheese. It has A2 protein, MCT and almost no lactose. I get too lean on meat only. BMI 18.3 and LMHR woman in menopause. Finnish / Dutch origins (dairy eaters). So I think it is different for different people.
I recently added kefir and A2 yoghurt to my mostly paleo diet and so far my acne is under control. Was horrible until about a year ago
The Vitamin A in milk helps with acne.

I have a few questions:
Do I have to eat steak to get all the nutrients my body needs?
Good luck.
@@sportysbusiness that was really helpful, thank you
Dr. Chaffee, could you talk about Kefir? Is Kefir a better option due to the probiotics it contains, and the low amount of lactose it contains? Also, if you allow the grains to sit in the milk for 36 hours plus, they continue to remove even more lactose from the milk and significantly increase the probiotic value.
great interview guys ... thanks for all you do!
What about kefir if I leave it to digest the lactose.... ???
I’ve found a goat milk farmer across the state line who can supply me raw goat’s milk. I’ve been learning how to make kefir with it for possible benefits to myself as an LMHR and my husband’s blood pressure and gut health issues. Since the fermentation process eats up the lactose, I’m hoping that my kefir gives benefits without huge spikes, but I don’t really have a way to know for sure. Anyone else know about this?
Dr Chaffee recently interviewed a guy and I remember him saying that 24 hours fermenting kefir will consume almost all the lactose
When keto prior to carnivore, foods like cheese and nuts were triggering. Didn’t want to stop
I had the exact same problem with keto, I'd go crazy eating pecans and provolone.
