That bridge riff is in my top 5 favorite Metallica riffs. Sooooo underrated.
It's in my top 5 favorite riffs ever !
Might even be my favorite riff ever.
And it's only a bridge riff played for like 30 seconds !
That is, the Metallica I grew up with. Timeless album
DJ Metallica's best 3 albums Kill I'm All justice for all and Master of Puppets
@@aaronshackelford6106 I agree
@@aaronshackelford6106 Ride the lightning ?
@@aaronshackelford6106ill em all is shit. Rtl and black are far better
Master of Puppets is the closest thing to being a concept album without actually BEING a concept album.
I'd say Ride, Puppets, and AJFA are all sort of concept albums. Ride is about death, Puppets is about power/domination, and AJFA is about corruption.
The bass intro was recorded and then played backwards cliff was a musical genius
I was 17 when this album came out and it changed my life. Just a masterpiece of metal from beginning to end🤘
I was 16, and like you, this completely changed my life. I still find it unbelievable how a bunch of lads so young, could produce this incredible music.
Cliff's album!
Congratulations
The intro is cliffs version of Bach's "Come, sweet death" , interesting choice considering he died shortly after, his sister believes he knew he wasnt going to survive the tour in Europe and she begged him not to go
Why did he think he wasn't going to make it?
@@ayaanbretmitchell9830 idk that's what his sister said is that she begged him not to go and he knew something was going to happen, but he said he had to do it
Back in the day my friends and I would discuss which was a better closing track.
This or Raining Blood. Both songs made you want to start the tape over.
It was cassettes back then. They are both great songs
That's a brutal question! Impossible. It's like asking someone if they love their one kid more than the other. You can't answer that. You must have put your friends in deep comas thinking about that as their beers spill all over the couch.
Damage Inc is better. It's organized better and has a proper ending. Also the production value is better.
The M1 abrams I worked on had Damage Inc on the main gun barrel.
🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘…..Thrash in perfection 🔥🔥🔥……and Kirk’s solo is a monster 🔥🔥🤘🤘
Metallica in their golden age of thrash. Was listening to this 35 years ago. Better late than never.😂
🤘 thraaaaaash
My favorite Metallica song. Kerry king from Slayer said this is the riff he wished he wrote
Did you notice the lyrics that were used again after many years in the song Saint Anger? "Fuck it all and fucking no regrets / Never happy ending on these dark sets" VS. "Fuck it all and no regrets
I hit the lights on these dark sets".
"Step a little closer if you please" puts goosebumps on my arm.
Seeing Metallica live is insane it really gets your heart pumping full of adrenaline
Que hermosa mujer tienes hermano.
Saludos
That intriguing intro...
...that we love because it is the certainty of how heavy is to come.
I love how what might seem to some as just a violent song turns into a discussion about perseverance, integrity, inspiration, and the respect and admiration in your relationship. It’s the sort of thing that makes me glad this channel exists.
congrats on the family addition! The Vin name lives on 💪
Interesting the song structure parallels between Battery and Damage Inc.
am i heard it correctly that one of you mentioned "Inshaa Allah"???....
This song is sooooooo underrated
Ugh that riff is just so damn crispy! 100% agreed!
Cliff is definitely my favorite bassist. I've taken so much inspiration from him. Hetfield is my favorite guitarist, so just gimme some Metallica and I'm good 😂
He died the night me and my m8s went to see them live in Germany some time in the early 80's
Ah. A flash back to Dec 15th 2020. Worth it though. \m/
I knew it wasn't just me thinking that.
Welcome back and hell yeah to this tune!
R.I.P. Cliff
😔
I love this song , l learn to play this song when I was at school awesome song definitely Metallica best album.love it.
One of the best Metallica songs ever.
Favorite Metallica song...
Final track on the greatest metal album of all time. Perfection.
With that bass intro, it should have been the opening track, going into Disposable Heroes, then Master Of Puppets.
Then : Battery, Orion, The Thing That Should Not Be, Sanitarium, and finishing with Leper Messiah.
mmm interesting, a couple friends and i sometimes theorize about track selection on some albums.
It Is crazy how perception can be affected or bring another good feeling and new vibes. Cheers from México.
I’m glad the album ends on this song, especially with how melodic Orion is playing right before it. The album is perfect tbh
@@Jahomey505
I fail to see the relevance of Orion's melodic section to Damage Inc's placement in the track sequence, but, okay... you could just as easily argue that Battery should follow Orion based on that logic.
This album was ALMOST perfect... it became perfect once I rearranged the songs in a more conceptual-transitional flow. ;-)
React to Slayers Angel of Death please
The cool thing about art is that regardless of what the artist was trying to convey in their creation, once the work is released to the world, the viewer (or listener in this case) will ultimately see something else in the work. Artists should never be asked to explain their work. Let people make of it what they will.
congratulation on the birth of your baby!
that cd great love master of puppits
Some really cool observations about the theme of the album here in this video.
Hey your in a band! That’s cool brah
Probably 16 000 new videos on youtube today but this is the one I was clicking on
Have you guys reacted to Leper Messiah yet?
Yes they have. Just search for leper Messiah reaction and they should pop up🤘🤘
BANGER
Please react to Kirk Hammett's new solo album Portals.
I love the last song. Just heard on Spotify
@@DethronerX Maiden and the monster sounds so eerie and soothing as well.
@@nishantjoshi4392 Yeah that Tales from the Crypt style eeriness, with maiden and more of Kirk's horror themes and some epicness. Lots of cool stuff
@@nishantjoshi4392 To Tame A Land to be specific
Hell yeahh
get me on your drums , i love bass
THRASH METALLLLLLL 🤘
Even thought the meaning is “supposed to be” about the just being aggressive and not stopping at anything, and I say supposed to be because it was the original meaning by hetfield, but they want the music to be what the listener interpret is it as, I personally think of the mentality “if you’re not with us, you’re against us, and if you’re against us, we’re gonna fuck you up, probably my favorite current song
Master of Puppets is the best metal album ever IMO every song bangs
NO rust in peace and number of the beast best metal albums DIOS HOLY dIVER TOO
Vincent, you should check out the bassist from Ensiferum.
Megadeth - Skin O' My teeth !!
The whole countdown to extinction is a must. Captive honour is a killer :D
Damage Inc was a game changer … his riffs gave a new wave of bands trying to imitate, even there is a cover from Dream Theater with an absolutely different tone showing Metallica was influential to many
this whole album was just kicked your ass. every single song was better than good. i love that little go before the solo.
And they never sounded like this again. What a shame.
The introduction is done by Mr. Cliff Burton
Is this a re-upload?
I think about it too, cause of the blind intro
And the newly baby born, that's what gave it away for me xD

🤘😎👍
forgot how good this was
Best song on MoP, by far
Bro Battery is about the thrashing and the music is the delivery system .....it's about the experience of the most pit and how everyone is the family. The Metallica family. James says this at every concert. This song is also about the mosh pit.....front and center of the stage. It's the Whiplash theme. It was still the early days of Metallica
Master Of Puppets : Magnum Opus

-- im sorry
Me: for what??? 😂
10/10
I thought you had reacted to this 😂, but who complains when it's Metallica
Its the same video reposted from a year ago.
The last Cliff song 😭
I remember buying the first two Metallica albums when they hit the shelves (82-84?) - I liked them!
Then they lost me as a fan!!
Kill em all.. ride the lightning.. master of puppets . And Justice for all were all quality(in my opinion, we all have one lol).. black album was OK but not in the same league.. everything after has been total shite.. again just my opinion
They lost you with Master of Puppets?
Too good for your taste or something?
Thrash classic
The riff of course is lifted from 'Strike Of The Beast' by Exodus, Kirk Hammet's former band.
Back in a time when Metallica hit way different! 🤘
Now put this in context: It's 1985 and four 22-23yr olds composed this shit! Goddamn! \m/

The last good album of a once great band🤘
No
Yep. But this album isn't nearly as good as the first two.
AJFA is a masterpiece album
Justice is a good album even though fucked up Jason’s bass for the entire album!
@Steve Fauver Lol that's funny.
