Fatebringer, eyasluna, and kept confidence are great choices. Sometimes i choose them over my slideshot rf roll .

It is down to the overall feel of the weapon to you. Some hand cannons you'll sync up right away with while others are more difficult to get used to. Not everyone has the same feel and trying a weapon out will really help determine if it is good for you or not.
I feel like a lot of people make way too big a fuss over Rose, it really isn't that great outside of the lightweight bonus, which I think people should only really care about if they play hunter and are really trying to min-max their stats. Mobility isn't an important stat on titans and warlocks, and the sprint speed bonus is not make or break, just nice to have. When it comes to stats and perks, a lot of handcannons actually have Rose beat imo, unless we're talking about airborne effectiveness, which is to me the second most defining characteristic of Rose. In that regard, the new strand handcannon Kept Confidence if probably your best option as a substitute since it has the highest base AE of any kinetic slot 140. If you think you're missing out on perks because you don't have a Rose, I wouldn't sweat it, there are a lot of handcannons with comparable or better perks. Timelost Fatebringer has EoTS + Explosive payload which makes it even better for dueling than Rose which cannot get both at the same time, Austringer can get EoTS + Zen Moment which is also incredible for dueling, Eyasluna get such ridiculously higher base stats than Rose that you can just go for lethality with Rapid Hit + Kill Clip, Kept Confidence can get high AE with Air Assault + EoTS to sort of emulate Rose (though this one is kind of strictly worse imo unless you're playing strand and want to save armor energy by using harmonic mods), and Spare Rations has slideshot if you are one of those people who swears that slideshot somehow makes Rose just objectively the best even though its stats are subpar compared to the other kinetic slot 140s (though Spare is also strictly worse than Rose, but the only kinetic slot 140 besides it that has slideshot).
Also, as an aside, the reason why I keep saying Rose's stats are unimpressive is because I don't value the raw handling stat nearly as highly as Wallah since there are so many things you can do to increase your handling without investing into the raw stat on your weapons, unlike stability and range which can basically only be altered by a weapon's perks (Rose's base range is a bit below average, and its base stability is trash compared to the other kinetic 140s, that aren't dire and spare that is). Dexterity and targeting mods greatly improve handling speeds as they are animation scalers, quick access sling and adept handling can be used, some exotics like Ophids, Dragon's Shadow, and Speedloader slacks improve handling, and a whole slew of 3rd and 4th column perks like quickdraw, snapshot, surplus, threat detector, EoTS, and others can be used to up handling as well. I personally run a 39 handling Austringer (EoTS and Zen Moment) with a 44 handling Beloved (quickdraw and snapshot) and I almost never find myself wanting for handling because I stack dexterity and targeting mods, and I have 2 handling perks on my sniper and 1 pseudo handling perk on my hc (usually the handling bonus from EoTS procs in most gunfights).
Hey thanks for this. I thought I was going crazy hearing everyone give such crazy praise to rose when in my eyes its stats and perks were good, but not "best handcannon in the game" good. Especially when other kinetic 140's such as austringer and fatebringer also had S tier perk options while having better stats (usually). I feel the hype around rose and its unique frame is a bit too excessive. I say this as someone who got the a perfect slideshot opening shot rose. I really feel that slideshot was never looked upon favorably except for on shotguns, and the only reason it is considered "S" tier now is because it happens to be within Rose's "best" role. It feels good on something that struggles with reload such as the Steady Hand, but otherwise it doesnt feel that crazy. Perpetual motion seems like an obvious choice over slideshot in my eyes, especially with how it synergizes with the playstyle from its high base AE + unique frame. Good to hear someone with a similiar viewpoint.
If I had to guess rose probably has a little extra tuning behind the scenes we can’t see on the stat board. It feels so much better to use than every other hand cannon imo
@@Nahmbre When talking about weapon feel the general consensus seems to be that Rose feels great, but that's pretty subjective. I, personally, don't think Rose feels super special or significantly better than its stats would indicate. If it works for someone better than everything else that's great, if it doesn't that's also fine. When there are so many great options it really does come down to personal preference.
@Austere5796 it retains the high base aim assist 150s had. Most new handcannons in general have been getting sub 80 aim assist, exalted truth is a good example, when it dropped everyone said it was hard to use despite having godrolls.
@@HP-Ice Very true some new hcs have a bit less AA but Palindrome is one of the best feeling hcs in the game and that only has 79 AA so not sure how much difference a + or - 5 AA has. Obviously bloom and recoil animation would play a part in it as well I suppose.

I have a 5/5 rose with eots and slide shot, and the exact same fate bringer roll in this but with eots. The rose wins in ease of use. The movement probably isn't helping me out that much, but the feel of it is amazing and it def gives confidence. Fatebringer is still great tho. At the end of the day im still a controller scrub and will use my my DFA with like 90+ stability anyway lmao.

I have had one person, if not more, leave EVERY SINGLE checkmate survival match that I have played. I don't know what it is but it's so annoying that I stopped playing that mode. It's a shame bc I love 3v3 game modes and checkmate is a breath of fresh air.
There should be a bracket for people in pvp who quit matches frequently so people who always play out matches will never have to deal with it, on either side.

I’ve been using an Austringer with Eye of the Storm and Zen Moment, and it feels incredible!
I always find myself using Thorn if I use a hand cannon. It’s always felt just right to me. But I have a fully crafted Austringer and a Fatebringer with explosive payload that is pretty spicy
just waiting on the catalyst.
How does the 68 range feel to u? Haven't used it enough to know how i really feel about it

Wallaaaaahhhh please try out the reworked foetracer. The damage buff can be fun in QP and shifts the ttk of some weapons for simply using an ability.

Using a well rolled rose and then going back to a reg godroll hc is like taking stompies off. When I got rolling with rose I didnt tale it off for like 1.5 seasons now Ive gotten used to not having it and been VIBING my 5/5 adept exalted truth. My max range perpetual explosiive rose is just so addicting and watch the f$@@& out once all guns get deterministic recoil 😂😂🎉🎉

Idk why but I can't get behind opening shot on hand cannons. I don't like my handcannons feeling different per shot I'd rather just have full consistency perks. My only exception to that is eye of the storm

I farmed a bunch of fatebringers when the glitched guns were around and im so glad i did, the gun feels so good.
The pve godroll explosive payload/frenzy also feels really good with the new buffs.

i prefer fatebringer with eott. Im not the greatest fan of os since its only there for 1 shot and sometimes it messes up the ttk, when u dont get the 3tap. The only thing that i dislike about Fatebringer is the lamp on the left side that can obstruct the visual jsut a tiny bit

I’ve been wondering if Not Forgotten would be a play in checkmate with Magnificent Howl boosting range and precision damage. Like would the boost be enough to 3 tap all resilience levels?
I actually tested it. I was able to hit 75 on the first headshot and 81 on the second headshot, then I killed a guardian with a bodyshot. With these numbers even if you hit a bodyshow with mag howl you will be able to kill someone at 10 resilience
I don't know what it is with checkmate, but I've been running into tons of people who just quit the game after a bad round

@@SayWallahBruh I main a 39 handling Austringer with a 44 handling Beloved on t-steps and I never feel like I am lacking handling, even when playing aggressively. It's all about proper investment into perks and mods. I double stack harmonic targetings and dexterities for my Beloved plus a kinetic targeting and dex for my Austringer. That, along with quickdraw and snapshot on Beloved, is enough. I feel like you value the raw handling stat a lot more than most players because you play hyper aggressive, to the point that you really do need as close to instant swap speed as possible. That does not really apply to the majority of the playerbase, so just making a blanket statement about some of the best dueling handcannons being bad might be somewhat misleading for people. I don't mean to offend by saying that, I just want to point out that your playstyle is extremely atypical, and that you might want to also consider topics like loadout recommendations from the perspective of the more average player in addition to you own very high skill perspective in the future.
Also, I'm not a trash player despite not using 70+ handling guns, I'd say I'm well above average. I'm Austere#5796 on trials report if that needs verification.

That is one of the nuttiest fatebringer god rolls roles I’ve ever seen. Opening shot and firefly with accurized and magwell? Literally a 2 in 1 fatebringer You can even go for extra range on longer pvp maps with full bore. ITS ALSO ADEPT. If I could choose exactly what role I would want on my fatebringer, it would be this exact one 100%

@@Ghost-su6vg Bottom Dollar has better perks at the cost of stats. Igneous is also beat to death as far as reviews. But Bottom Dollar gets Quick Draw or slide shot and explosive payload. All perks not available on the new one. And slide shot not available even on the old one.
