I have fallen back in love with my kindled orchid rapid hit rangefinder and have been looking for a similar kinetic. Austringer doesn't do it for me, so I hope Rose will do. (I'm a lumina main so should be good)
Perp/Snap or Perp/Eye, personally. Also wondering if you’ve tried using Lucky Pants (❤) with it.

Man Rose was probably the only 150 I used back in the day (started playing during the 600 AR meta lol), and even in PvE the sound, the feel, the sights, so crisp. About to log in for the roll Bungie's giving out to those who did their part in the Comp playlist day 1, can't wait to see how this gun makes its name known in PvP.
Hammer forged, Accurized, Range MW, EC, Heavy Grip...then Vorpal...the one not-great PvP perk...

@@hailfastcorexxx I honestly have no idea. I played all 7 while the drops were bugged for everyone and got mine automatically once the fix rolled out. Only have one character so I'll have to wait till next week to see how many matches are required.
@@KillionaireENG You are right most likely, I've only used Vorpal in PvE primarily so I'll have to see how it feels. This roll is stellar otherwise so I mean it's already worth using lol
for those who have not finished placement quest yet; make sure to grab the quest on all 3 characters and complete it on whatever character you like. once you finish it and claim Rose, check your other 2 characters and you will have 2 additional roses.
So if I only grabbed the quest on my main and already have one rose, what do I need to do to get it on my two alt characters now?
@@shredstein yes, do not complete the quest yet. go grab it on ur alt characters and then do the quest and check every character after u claimed the rose on the character u finished the quest on. YOU SHOULD have 1 rose on ur alt characters. thats what happened to me last night

I never got to use the original Rose as I had quit long before it came out, but something I really like about this gun right now is just how punchy it sounds, I really just straight up enjoy shooting people with it, it's really satisfying to use in a weapon archetype that I already find to be the most satisfying in the game to use.

I was always a huge fan of the original Rose and they kept everything I liked about it while also giving it so much more. I got one on the first day with Slideshot Rangefinder and I love it but I will absolutely be chasing an Explosive Payload roll.
I've been rocking Perpetual Motion + Snapshot, and I am in love. The Lightweight movement bonus on top of high handling and Snapshot makes this thing feel INSTANT and so fast compared to any other weapon I've been using right now. It struggles with range, but on close quarter maps like Anomaly in Comp, it has been so frigging snappy. Gonna play with more rolls, but this is such a good HC!
The one Rose I've gotten has Arrowhead, Steady Rounds, Perpetual Motion, Opening Shot and a Smooth Grip. It just feels so good. It feels like a Legendary Ace of Spades to me. I've been using it on my Arc Hunter with Liar's Handshake, Edge of Concurrence and Half-Truths. Very snappy. I'd like to try a Moving Target, Explosive Payload roll, but I'm still real happy with it.
This gun really made my day. I've used it before it got sunsetted, just like the Austringer or Kindled Orchid. But out of these three, Rose was my first and favourite gun that I've mained in PvP back in the day...

Chambered comp, appended mag, moving target, explosive payload, and smooth grip feels nice. Reload masterwork isn't quite what I was hoping for but it still makes it feel snappy with the high base handling.
After watching this video explosive payload was all I could hope for knowing my usual luck with drops but not a bad pull for my first.
Last thing I expected in a TV video is Donald to speak a few lines lol
There isn’t really any roll on this I would use over my Austringer except for Explosive Payload and Perpetual Motion. With the movement bonus it has, I think Perpetual Motion is the obvious best choice in the third column.
Just got one with perpetual motion and explosive rounds and apparently can put a full-auto on and I am in LOVE with it now I used for like 5 minutes and I already can tell it's gonna be a main. 👍🏾👍🏾
I got a rose with lightweight frame, corkscrew rifling, accurized rounds, elemental capacitor (running void jus for extra stability) explosive payload and smooth grip and I absolutely love this gun

I got a smallbore, acurised rounds rapid hit and explosive shot. Love it
This gun actually looks nice for PvE as well. As far as I can tell this is the first time we have Elemental Capcitor in the left and Explosive in the right. It’s no double damage perks like the King’s Fall weapons, but having a good damage perk like Explosive and a free +50 reload with no activation requirement just for playing Solar is pretty good

My attachment perks aren't the best, but I got a range masterwork with rapid hit and explosive payload and I love it. Reloading is a little slow but as long as I'm accurate, rapid hit compensates for it. Only 60 range total but it feels good compared to others I've been running. Love explosive payload, and with my rose and a decent funnel-web I was able to get my first we ran
Got my first one tonight, Smallbore, flared magwell,moving target, eye of the storm with a range mw, im pretty happy with it but ill be chasing explosive payload for sure.

Can def say Perpetual Motion/Explosive Rounds would be the role I’d go for. Have a DFA with PM/Timed Payload so going to be some stiff competition for “crispiest” hand cannon

Did my comp games yesterday, didn't get one & came on tonight & there was a Rose just sat in my primary weapons, I'll take it. 👍🏻
I got a small bore, accurized, moving target, eye of the storm, range mw roll. While I'm still looking for a EP roll I'd consider this a 5/5 roll. The lightweight benefit with moving target and eye of the storm makes this thing the ultimate dueling hc. Feels like I'm using multimach with the benefits of a hc. It's also the easiest hc to hit 3 taps with that I've ever used.
I'm glad it will give people something to chase. I'm pretty happy with my crafter austringer, and I'm not sure rose is enough better to be worth grinding for. I'm guessing the main benefit would probably be the lightweight frame would mean I could get more recov, or resil.
your austringer is better. if you have a timelost fatebringer with eye of the storm or opening shot, that's better. if you have an eyasluna with rangefinder, that's better. if you have a dire promise with rangefinder and opening shot, that's on par. ace of spades and hawkmoon are both better. it's just another hc lol

I just am having a hard time believing this is better than Eyasluna, Austringer or Fatebringer. And the grind to get a good roll is 1000x worse to go through sbmm comp + rift
I have a rangefinder eyasluna, I could craft an opening shot austringer…. So I’ll definitely be looking for that explosive payload roll!! I have fatebringer too, but that damn flashlight!
My rose has explosive payload, small bore, flared magwell, moving target, and heavy grip the only thing I would change would be flared magwell to accurized and heavy to smooth
Got one with flared magwell, elemental capacitor and rangefinder. Its very nice

Ive got a stability mw, small bore, flared magwell, moving target, explosive and smooth grip rose. It's not a god roll but it's not far off. Id say it's a demi-god roll. I use it almost exclusively in my primary slot for PvP. It was actually the first rose roll i got from crucible when i started playing this game. I'm also using the same shader as the one in the thumbnail. That one, carminica and indigo matrix are my favorites. Crucible carmine is also pretty sweet

I honestly have *never* liked the feel and play of a handcannon as much. The sound thumps, the sight is clean, and the performance is incredible.
beautiful roll. mag and MW are meh but corkscrew is definitely the best barrel along with smallbore and slideshot+rangefinder is my favorite perk combination.
@@lordkira9791 Its still the best I've gotten so far, but I think I would prefer explosive payload over rangefinder to be honest. Slideshot is a must for me after using the roll I mentioned before though. It's so crispy on HC.

I feel like rapid hit+ rangefinder or explosive payload would be my perfect roll. It’s great you should keep it rapid hit makes it feel and respond so much better after the first bullet so long as it’s a crit.

I'm pretty new to D2 but I like one HC in PvP, the Malfeasance. I didn't realize the Austringer was better. I have one I need to level up. Now the Rose! Lol
Rose has a ton of great perks, but I wish they were arranged a little differently. Most of the good perks are in the right column IMO and I would love explosive + eye of the storm or rangefinder, but alas.
I'm looking for a max range roll with decent stability with expensive to replace fatebringer. Can't wait to get one
It looks really clean, my first roll was Hammer Forged / Accurised / Elemental Capacitor / Vorpal. It feels OK, but I'd prefer a different main perk combo

I got Quickdraw explosive and it pairs perfectly with my fighting lion
I got a roll with (the barrel that gives +10 stab, forgot the name), accurized, perpetual motion and snapshot. While i would like something like explosive payload or eye of the storm, im fine with this being my first roll
I got a rangefinder moving target, range MW, and heavy grip. 9/10 PvP god roll.
Perpetual motion and eye of storm I have with full bore it's a beast.
I got a Moving Target, Explosive Payload w/ Hammer Forged Rifling, Flared Magwell for the reload and stability bump, Smooth Grip and a stability masterwork and since I suck a PvP I will be happy with this one haha. Either way phenomenal handcannon!
I also have Full Bore but since I got explosive payload I’ll keep the stability intact
So, after the placement and the first Rose drop. Can you keep grinding the comp quest you get after placements for another Rose?
I normally go for rf but slide shot/ opening shot is hard to pass up. Slide shot gives you that killing wing range and hit box.
Extended Barrel / Extended Mag / Perp. Motion / Rangefinder / Range MW for 33.8m of range and, with Icarus, 45 AE!! Paired with Ophidian Aspect and the seasonal AE mod = 70 AE 🤙🏻

It getting over hype....go for fate timelost. Better for your time better for everything... XD mine god roll fate have 76 rang 60 stability and 68 handing... and you can get a roll with 76 rang and 76 handling... it just overall better... have alot more rang, then rose with rangefinder XD
Also the fate have explosive payload and opening shot... for high ranges
@@funnystranger3380 farmed out plenty of time lost fates when the challenges came out, I’m actually a PVE main so I do a lot of raiding. But I also like to switch things up, in the time it took for me to respond to this I already have one rose with QuickDraw vorpal. But I do appreciate the alternative method for other weapons though bud

I "almost" got your PerpMo/Explodr god roll - just heavy grip instead of smooth. It does indubitably slap.
Well i got capacitor(i'm void so it's nuts for me) and snapshot.
Not bad, but with rangefinder or payloads it could be god of gods rolls)
Btw in the end i have 73 distance, 70 stability and 65 handling
I was one range masterwork away from the perfect roll. It's downright irritating because I know I'll never even get this close again.
Random question, did they remove the k/d display for players in Team Quickplay? Right before the match you would see everyone's k/d.
Slideshot + Explosive Payload is my god role. Easy stat boost and good dualling potential.

Slideshot is the best perk but only for one shit they need to buff it to what it’s actually suppose to do it actually suppose to give you 15% magazine refresh 20 range and 30 stability for 3 seconds🤯 and I just happen to get one with rangefinder
As someone who really dislikes PvP, I went to get a rose because lightweight bonus is lovely and the gun feels really good to use. Just wish it had another damage perk like frenzy or just anything besides EP or Vorp

Is this the same Rose that was part of the illumina quest ? And if so I'm surprised people don't run lumina especially with the two buffs it lumina is literally an exotic better upgraded version of rose

3. Cause if it is 3 that would be ridiculous since the rose has the one of lowest probability to get the roll you want out of most the weapons in the game since you need to also get grips.

the rose hand cannon is a good example of what bungie should keep doing of making something good that makes us returning to play different aspects of the game, like how a lot of people played nightfalls whenever palidrome was the weekly nightfall reward
The problem is the people who don't like pvp will complain about it. It happened with the pinnacle weapons a lot where something was good for pve, but you had to play pvp to get it, so they complained about it. I agree with you, and im all for them adding weapons that make people play other modes, but unfortunately, i foresee the complaints already
@@cerebralassassin2185 they could make variations like a pve version and a pvp version, like just change the perk pool possibly and thats it but there could be confusion with that too. If theres a good pve weapon in pvp they should prob make it participation rather than say get ascendant rank in comp like with the rose hand cannon
I thought slideshot was active for 3 seconds after a slide with a .3 second refresh timer. I can’t find information anywhere about it only being for the first shot after sliding.
So I got the rose on my first character doing the 7 games quest then thought I’d go to my others and get it as I know you can get one per week but I don’t have the quest on my other two characters. What do I need to do to get my other 2 rose

I main arc and I have been for years now so elemental capacitor on rose is kind of a waste since it already has a lot of handling. I think i will be going for Perpetual because of the recoil and stability bonuses mainly.
I have a perpetual motion rangefinder roll, it feels clean and has 90 aim assist

No wonder I couldn't find it- back then you could swap elements and although now if you pulled it from collections it would be solar this one was sawpped to arc and not dismantled. Rare piece of gear!
