I have played with Sunshot around 30 games in Trials this week, occasionally switching to Igneous+Conditional when Well/Bubble would start to pop up. Gotta say, it's really freakin' good. Not sure that I like it more than my Rose rolls, but it's at least on par with them.
I’m glad that sunshots been buffed, I’ve been using it since the dark days of the 120 meta to counter those back in beyond light and I’ve racked up 6k kills on it since and it’s literally my favorite all around gun in pve/pvp
This has been my fave handcannon since arriving on Io during the Red War, rly hoping not too many people test it out coz I don't want em to touch it

Even on Controller sunshot is crazy imo, Ive been using even before the range buff
The AA is fine, I just can't see anything when I'm shooting. The muzzle flash, the fat gun model.

I started using it in earnest ever since the masterwork got unlocked in the beginning of this season. I'm on controller and I am getting used to the visual recoil/kick to the point where I was finally getting three taps when I focus. I'm still inconsistent but I feel like I'm getting the hang of it and just need to spend a little bit more time with it, which is not a problem for me as I really enjoy using it.
For controller players, if you like Sunshot, just keep at it. Don't give up!
Sunshot was the first exotic in the game I played with all the time when I was new to destiny2 (I was still playing d1 before then) despite it taking me a year to get the catalyst I used it for everything. the one upside to that was it made every other hand cannon after feel like I was using some kind of aimbot as so easy to use lol

With controller, Sunshot feels like I'm trying to use a stick of butter as a weapon, if I fire it long enough I feel like it's gonna slip off my hands. It does feels amazing now in pve, where recoil isn't that big of a deal, it was already great for add clear and now I can actually kill majors without feeling like i'm throwing marshmallows at them.
Sunshot is fun just think it has too much visual recoil/bounce on controller
If you play on 90 or above fov that's why. You have to play on 80 or 85 max

Thorn also has a funky recoil direction on console it’s hop is really hard to change sunshot is also hard to control but definitely easier
I think you were onto something with Rufus Fury. It feels waaaaaay better than my Immortal since the range buffs.
The flinch from that sunshot is also insane
The ornament is helping clear the screen more tho. Normal ornaments get more in the way becuase how they are shaped.
sunshot is goated, I don’t use it enough, due to the fact i’m in love with conditional finality, and refuse to use any other shotgun in the primary slot
I tested battle scar for 10 games and it feels great and now I'm grinding pvp with sunshot and it will put in some work, the changes are nice because many weapons now have a chance in the meta

I’ve really been liking fatebringer recently for kinetic slot it’s stats are juiced and it has ep also wallah sunshot is amazing on controller atleast for me it’s definitely my favorite I hardly use it though cause devils ruin
Sunshot is good but a lot of controller players don't use it because of the (relatively) very low aim assist stat (like 67 I think?). To each their own I'm sure you do fine with it but it is still outclassed (on controller) by other options that can easily hit 90+ AA

I used sunshot on the last day of last season in pvp for the first time, im a khepri's Horn main so the synergy was awesone and on hunter i used it with athrys, put up 80 kills in a couple of hours
Your movement is so good it makes me average players and even some good players look like they dont know what the hell they are doing lol

One weird thing about this weapon on my controller is that this gun specifically doesn't activate my controller vibration. No other gun does this and it weirds me out.

I’ve been clapping asses in trials with sunshot with it’s new ornament and it felt amazing
Sunshot on controller the recoil versus the sights its kind of inconsistent especially with bloom as far as pvp goes but in pve it’s amazing

this might sound crazy but i think every hc with explosive payload is doing a lot better now. i'm a medicore player at best but i was doing pretty good by my standards in trials last weekend with the new ritual hc and fatebringer.

ye lovee sunshot but kick to it is so random and weird like its not even consistent in its recoil. When you get shots going though it can be sticky but honestly the recoil is the only thorn (wink wink) to this hc

Honestly after using the rose for so long I switched back to my crafted austringer and honestly it hits a lot better and i cant feel the difference in the lightweight that rose has.

Sunshot is definitely harder to use on controller for me at least, I’m somehow still don’t have the catalyst even though agers scepter and Monte Carlo catalysts dropped like two days ago, but back to sunshot. The recoil is more of a bounce backwards into ur face unlike basically all other hand cannons. For me the weapon in general feels very lightweight whereas other 140 rpm’s feel much heavier so the light-weighty-ness kinda puts me off and I end up missing my shots. Above all though, sunshot is an amazing hand cannon as the sole survivor of the 140 rpm purge, and that’s all I really have to say lol

Did you enjoy Trials on Meltdown, Wallah? I pulled out my very first solo queue flawless this past weekend. I definitely remember why I liked this map.
Also Multimach CCX is still the 🐐 of SMGs. Had a god roll on a non-Adept Immortal but for some reason Multimach just clicked with me. Fully kitted for range, Killing Wind and Kill Clip. Still a monster, even more so now that Immortal got hit a few times. If you ever need a weapon to make a video on, give Multimach a spin again. (And if you ever need niche weapons, my vault's at 599/600, I'll give you access to my acc for a video anytime my love)

"everyone is talking about it" literally nobody has been using it. I've been a sunshot main for forever, 5k kills on it yet it only became a challenger this season since the nerf to 150s becoming 140s. It only hits 1 meter less than a fatebringer with max range, and honestly it's just a W

I love the stats on this thing, but I’m on console but I can just not secure kills with it. I can’t see the enemy I’m shooting at and I can’t tell where their head is or how much health they’re at. Idk if it’s a skill issue on my part but that’s just my opinion
