I honestly think a gun's "feel good factor" is 80% the sound it makes when it fires. The sound this hc makes just sounds like it hits something every time you shoot.

100%. A few regulars I play with initially laughed at me awhile back when I mentioned “this gun doesn’t feel right because it sounds squishy.” Some guns feel better because they sound crisp or more precise. Took them awhile but they eventually came around and got what I was saying.

Bungie have some big problems but this is their magic. No one is better at game feel than Bungie.
Weapon sound has a huge psychological effect on perceived weapon power. There's a story about how back in the day the Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory devs noticed there was a huge disparity in both usage rate and effectiveness between the MP40 and Thompson SMGs - even though other than model and sound they were *completely identical guns* in terms of actual stats and animations. It all just came down to how much "beefier" the Thompson sounded, which gave players the impression it was more powerful and they ended up being much more confident with the gun.
TL:DR - weapon sound is a *huge* part of weapon feel and can make or break a gun sometimes.
definitely feel this with the cantata. it’s such a good gun but it’s little plink sound makes it feel leagues worse
@@shaboingboing1completely agree. Also probably why i have trouble using Round Robin. Objectively a fantastic weapon, and dont get me wrong, i have 400 kills on it, but the sound makes it just a bit more frustrating to use. Also, xenophage is one of my favorite heavies for this reason. THUNK THUNK THUNK

This is exactly why I cant stand using shadow price or BT Werewolf because I haaaate the sound they make. Summoner is an exception because its a very good gun but I gravitate to way more options first
You should use killing wind instead of QuickDraw, once you have killing wind active it gets you to 100 range. It might make it feel even better 🤷🏻♂️
I personally prefer QuickDraw since it’s not a stat monster hand cannon and 47 handling is YIKES! But it’s all preference at the end
@@SayWallahBruhyeah I forgot about the handling, I’ll probably try killing wind but I think I’ll end up using quickdraw. I just need that final red border but my RNG is trash lol.
@@Ace_Gunner if u play warlock u can use Ophidian Aspect and some dexterity mods to get better handling and still keep Killing Wind

That second game was so nice to watch. It felt more natural than the first to listen to imo.
When I saw the perk pool, I was so sad. The stats are also kinda disapointing but honestly, the weapon feels so satisfying to use that it's hard to put down. I use it on both PvP and PvE on my hunter, and can easily say it's my favorite weapon we've gotten in a while.

The gun model reminds me of lord high fixer from D1
It might just be my bias from D1 days, but the basic model HC just.. feels right. Even on controller, 'The Devil You Know' was my go to.. well, up until the light level changes. Fatebringer shares the same model (and I believe one of the sunset ritual PVP HC's in D2 I believe?), and stats aside from what I've seen at least, they perform very nicely. I guess it's mostly psychological, but even with the encrusted junk on 'Kept Confidence', the thing just feels nice to shoot; a bit of a nostalgia trip. Even its decidedly awful rolls feel just as nice.
The sunset PVP hc you may be thinking of is Luna's Howl, it uses one of the original HC models from D1.
Gave mine the ol’ suros modular shine shader for that nostalgic Luna’s Howl feel.
Its the fatebringer model without the flashlight

This hc feels good to me because of the sound, same thing with the judgement hc, I loved the sound and I got a good roll so I used to for pvp.
The gun feels very good because your combining 2 handling perks. This gun is basically always at 100 handling
The Kept Confidence sounds a bit like a golden gun it has a mild version of golden guns poppy echo.
I got a complete dogwater roll from the first mission and I thought it still felt great to use. I never got a great rose so I'll probably try to craft this.
If you want two strand grapples on titan you can use the chest plate that gives you a second grenade to have two grapples

the seasonal sniper is one of my favourite snipers it feels amazing
Put on air assault, enhanced it has a passive 12 ae + an extra 40 per stack (1 stack for grounded kill, 2 for airborne)
The sounds of the gun firing is just **chefs kiss**
The sight is big and very clean. I think thats a big part of why it feels good.
I got this quick draw eye of the storm roll naturally was the first roll I got to drop lol then proceeded to get a PvE G-roll the next drop lol
Watching guys like you play Crucible is the very reason I don't go in I couldn't last 3 seconds I don't know if it's cuz of my age and reaction time or the fact that I use the controller but you guys move so fast it's freaking awesome to watch though

Zen moment improves your recoil direction and increases your flinch resistance when you damage a target.
Rapid hit increases your stability and reload speed with every precision damage shot you do with a stack to 5x.
So yeah Zen moment ain't worth it no more for some weapons...
You should try crafting the scout rifle with loose change and destabilizing rounds it's 🔥
I have one myself. It’s the easiest using 140 outside of Dire Promise. It’s a good weapon. Unfortunately that can’t be said of your opponents

Keepaway would give this gun 80 range at max range. Which would make it probably the best hand canon in the game. Next to igne and Rose.

Yea, that’s why whenever I hear console aim assist is such a crutch, I point out pc movement is insanely better so it’s a trade off. I’ve always been console and my movement is ok, but god damn the jukes in this lol

Haven't started playing the new season yet. Been trying take a mini break from D2 for once in my life and get down on some recent releases (Armored Core until Starfield comes out here soon). Definitely looking forward to get down with the buffs to Handcannons though and knock out the patterns for a couple of the new weapons I have seen. Glad I'll be able to supplement a fair amount of Shiro Chi leveling with just straight up buying them with Cores etc.
Last season was the season to take a break and catch up on other games, tbh this season seems promising so far.

I recommend trying Brya's love with precision instrument. It has 3 tap potential, like an infinite range not forgotten, but it requires 3 headshots and relatively low resilience from the oponent

On longer range maps you'll actually see some damage dropoff, but you can just spec for some more range
Edit: Brya's also has golden tricorn, which after a kill, is 70 a headshot.
@@jonahbrown5669 yes, that's true, but from a scout rifle, you have to be very far away and most maps don't get to that point. Then, the golden tricorn, I've seen it in action and looks terrifying on the appropriate hands, but it takes a kill to prok, where precision instrument just needs accuracy. I guess it will come to the meta and personal preference, but I think it's an interesting perk

Quick draw is for the no f given in you face hc players, killingwind is great for people who normally stick further back and play more passive. It a playstyle to perk choice thing

Cool gun… my question is how the cantata pairs against this because of its perk pool and good stats not that it’s better but it’s been a while since cantata has seen the crucible on a wide scale.
Eots,MT 76( i think hammer and range mw is 76 range ) should put cantata above this.
I personally like full bore with accurized rounds and eye of the storm/moving target with targeting adjuster and one arc targeting to reach 100 range, stability and aim assist.
So funny. Today i played with my cantata impact timeload + rapidhit + range MW the first time since months.. it was still crispy. 2nd slot the New Shaxx smg with cascadepoint

the aim assist stat it what you're feeling, the best hand cannon i've felt is the dire promise with a base 88 aim assist and still using today it just glue when im hitting shots. people went to sleep with this hand cannon
Has a cool design, isnt a 180, has a great feel, and has access to QD and EotS to allow for spec into Range/Stability? I'm sold.
