I'm glad you talked about meeting at a con. I'm a flirt at conventions, so some of the guys I meet are annoyed that I don't date at all outside the convention. I'll hang out and have fun with them as friends, but they're wasting their time romantically. It's really important that you brought up the different con personalities, so thanks for that. Hopefully a lot of people will see this video and be prepared to just forget about purposely finding a relationship.
I met someone at geek kon 2013 and we actually live about 4 hours away from one another, we met through a friend and a Fandom and now we have been dating for almost two years. So it does work out and we have our ups and downs but really any relationship does have these. Of course everyone I different when it comes to dating but I am happy as can be.
this is true! but i felt like it needed to actually be talked about since cons last so much longer then a trip to a bar. much more time for you to think you know someone
Very interesting topic. I almost met someone through Facebook who was going to a con and he wanted to meet me so much, and then we just turned out to be super shy and didn't talk once at the con. It's just easier to set the goal of just meeting and making friends at cons when someone like me isn't interested of hooking up and dating right away at a convention. Very cool advise :)
I've met so many people I've dated at con's and so far it hasn't worked out too well, it always lasts 3 months or less which sucks ! everyone is much different at con's tbh. Its still my dream to meet someone at a con that'll last longer :,)
Seriously great advice, I always get that mindset of it would be awesome to find a girl at a con. I don't even try tho I'm a pretty shy guy so I just stick to my friend group and avoid most people lol. But seriously love your page man just keep up the awesome job. Laterz!
I go with my bf. When we get there we separate to go do stuff we want to do with our friends. Then we run into each other for kisses and hugs then we separate again until after.
Kids, buy yourself a DSM 5, read it. Realize if you meet someone you won't know them right off. It takes two years to really get to know someone. Someone with personality disorders can conceal it for two years, but rarely longer than that.
I meet my new con friends and a we hang outside the con couple of time in person and me an my friend Cameron feel in lie with each other an started dating
True on the how you act different at con part. I met this chick at a con once. We talked about the shows and kept in touch afterwords. After a while I found out she was a pretty hardcore liberal and myself am a moderate conservative. Yup that didn't work out. For the record she was the one that stopped talking to me.
HappiSushi12 Thats a terrible analogy. I don't hate the westboro because they hate gays. I hate them because they spit on veterans graves. Anybody that has a hint of sanity knows what a bunch of cocksuckers westboro is.
I went to a con with my boyfriend at the time but since then we've broken up and I'm hoping I don't run into him at the next con but that's just how life is I guess 🤷
con is all about being your weird self talk to as many girls as you can and leave your feelings out of it you dont know these people if they wanna stay in touch cool but im there to have a good time its about me

Hows it going 9yrs later?
@Khangst we broke up in 2020 lmao 🤣
We have a rule for are cosplay group don't go to a con looking for love. Too much drama all around
A very good rule!
You could say this exact same thing in any dating circumstance though. It's the same as if you went to bars to try to find women to date or whatever.

That is a pretty valid point,

crazy in what way? I would also agree not to start dating at a con cuz it's 2-3 days there.

I'm sorry but how in the blue hell can you be a conservative when you like anime and go to cons.
HappiSushi12
Cause I can be what I want without conforming to what others want me to be.
***** It just doesn't make sense it's like being gay and worshiping the Westboro Baptist Church.
