Thank you so much for the wonderful review! Our staff and volunteers have been sharing it around and loving it! We're really excited you had such a good time, and thank you for the feedback on how we could get even better! Hope you join us again someday! ✨
I'm happy to hear people have been enjoying it. I had a wonderful time at this convention and I look forward to returning in the future! Thanks for the great weekend!
Wow. Thank you so much for the review. Sometimes, even when things are going well, it can seem like a bit of a mess when looking at so many moving parts. I'm so glad you had a good experience, and I hope most attendees had the same experience. That all makes doing it worthwhile.
2:32 omg that’s me in the purple shirt!! i didn’t get any pictures in my cosplay so good to know there’s some documentation of it lmao i’ve been going to MTAC since 2017 and i’m glad that you enjoyed your first year at it! this was the first time they had the artist alley set up like this, and while the hotels have been nice i feel the con at it’s current size needs to work on space; whether that’s better planning areas and rethinking where things go, or adding on another hotel/moving to a bigger location. my personal thoughts aside, it was nice to hear a fresh take on the con from somebody new to it!
I do agree, if there is one thing that seems like it needs work it may be the space. I thought it was okay this year, but assuming the con will continue to grow, they will probably have to address this in some way in the near future. Let's see. Only time will tell.
@@tynemichelle the artist alley table layout is what i meant! it’s normally been like four squares with the artists facing outwards, this year it was in lines with one of the lines having white panels behind the artists to make a sort of divider. it opened things up and helped a lot more with the flow of traffic and preventing crowding and congestion, but the line that had artists back to back was a little cramped, it’d be great to see it improved even further next year!
I live in Memphis, and I love watching anime con videos, and I've *never* heard of this. But I can tell you that *everything* in Nashville is separated from everything *else* by a steep hill. All your experiences pretty much track with life in the South. Glad you had a good time.
Me and my twin were there with our friend. We had not been to MTAC since 2019 and 2e were so happy to be back! It did not disappoint either. It was a blast! The events were great and everyone's cosplays were so awesome! Especially loved the Monarch panel, the cosplay contest, the dance party, lip sync contest and the amv contest. Honestly this year was probably my favorite MTAC. It was also my favorite because I finally got to cosplay one of my OC's on friday and so did my twin. On Saturday we were dressed as the Turtle Twins. Also you know it was a good con when I got sick Sunday and had to leave early and I still say it's my favorite lol
This convention looks so good, I have never been to Nashville, but maybe next year me and my family can go. I think I love medium size cons better anyways, so this would be awesome for me.
I passed up on this year since 2023 was a bit...yikes, the space just felt so small and I went to all of about 3 panels because the rooms were all full immediately and lines lasted for ages, but from the sounds of this it seems like a lot of stuff got fixed, which is awesome! I wouldn't mind going back again at some point if it meant actually getting into the panel rooms lol
Hmmm interesting. Idk. I mean I will say the location does feel a bit small for the amount of people, but it didn’t seem so bad to me. We had a great time haha
@ConventionReviews I don't doubt it! MTAC vibes have always been amazing regardless, even from the one time I did go the people and staff were incredible
You should! It was a lot of fun! Maybe we will see you there next year! Also I am editing the vlogs now and something about having Drew back in the vlogs with us brings me back to the old days for sure.
As a longtime attendee of MTAC, let me say that the risque cosplay contest was lacking but due to not enough sign ups. I was to perform last year, but I got injured and could no longer perform. Please don’t base opinions on the risque at MTAC for this 1 year- the rest have been amazing! That’s why the panel started late; they need more applications. MTAC was my first con and forever first love because of its size and overall vibe. They’ve grown tremendously over the years in many many ways. It’s not perfect, but it’s home to me ❤️
My wife and I took my granddaughter and her friend to this con. It was a first for all of us. I personally felt more conformable with the security. Just my 2 cents!
This MTAC compared to MTAC's I've been to in the past this one gets a 7.5 or 8/10. They have corrected some of the issues that they have had, but there are some things that are lacking. The Vendor rooms are underwhelming and crowded. It's not the vendors' faults. There needs to be more space that allows for a larger variety of vendors with more space to set up shop. There was also a lack of general space for meeting people and taking photos. However, this was very organized, security was great, and generally the use of the cramped spaces was done well. I have been to MTACs that we're 10/10s and I have been to MTACs that were simply not good. This one is probably an 8/10 for me, so well done!
I honestly dont have a problem with security at cons, since cons are big events and need that security. I was at Katsu this past february and Id never been to a con that had such a sheer amount of security, police and con staff just patrolling everything. TBH I welcome it, (katsu is a pretty wild con anyway xD) and Ive been to plenty of other cons where on-duty cops and security personnel were common sights. Heck, at Anime Boston you have to go through literal metal detectors to get inside the convention space. But I do welcome seeing strong security at cons, people are legit crazy nowadays. :\ Also, love seeing you check out new cons! Hopefully one day you'll be able to check out the con scene over in the Northeast! :D
I for sure understand this point of view, people are crazy nowadays and I have always worried there could be a disaster at a convention someday. It was our first time seeing something like this so we were not used to how it changes the vibes a bit. It is what it is. It absolutely didn't ruin anything, that's for sure.

The artist alley has been the same every year that we've been at these hotels 😊

Fresh new cons from Cody! Yay! It’s about time there’s an overview of MTAC!
Haha hope you enjoyed it. Excited to get the other videos out there and help spread the word 🎉
Always nice to see videos from you. Glad to hear this con from your perspective. 😄
Thank you so much! Have you been to MTAC?

Glad you had a great time! And I loved that you stopped by the JJK photoshoot! :)
Were you at MTAC this year? If so, what did you think?
A couple of my relatives were and it was cool to see them in the review! Glad to hear you enjoyed the con as much as we did!

You should! Also I agree. I have a bias toward medium sized cons for sure hahaha

That's because a lot less people went this year. Plaxes like the dealers room and game room where almost empty
Getting me excited for Con season
i was there lol! this was my first con
I hope you had fun!
@@ConventionReviewsi did lol i saw me and my bf @8:17 🤣
Reminds me so much of Zenkaikon in Lancaster. Love the vibes! Would love to try this con sometime.
If you’re looking for more Tennessee conventions I VERY MUCH recommend Akaicon !!!
This definitely made me want to check this con out! 10k people is a great size 👌Also love seeing the crew back together!
You should! It was a lot of fun! Maybe we will see you there next year! Also I am editing the vlogs now and something about having Drew back in the vlogs with us brings me back to the old days for sure.
It hasn't been that many people there since 2012 and 2013. Last year it barely had four thousand people
great video bro!
Glad you liked it!
Ay my local con finally getting some recognition let's go! I gotta start going back 😂
I love your reviews! Are you going to Anime Central this year?
Thank you so much! Sadly I can not make it this year.
I walked past you talking to the lollipop chainsaw cosplayer, but I didn’t realize it until I saw this video.
Oh really? If you ever see us again feel free to say hello!
Have you ever been to Akaicon? It's June 28th-30
At the fairgrounds in Lebanon.
To me that one feels more family-friendly.
Please Check that one out!
I was planning to check it out this year but sadly schedules are not lining up. Hopefully next year!
We love watching your videos to get us hype for cons when we attend them lol.
Thank you. I'm happy I can help get you guys hyped!

Scrolled through the video to make sure that this isn’t an April fools joke
Hahaha yeah it's an unfortunate day for me to post, but I always try to be out no later than the Monday after the con haha.
I hope you at least got a free room out of this.
Haha naaaaa, but maybe a press badge next year. That would be nice hahaha
And you completely left out the over $5k that our charity team raised for Trans Lifeline!
I didn't leave it out, I had no idea that even happened. But that is fantastic to hear!
We were at the Embassy with gaming, you had to pass us to get to all the gaming rooms!
I'm sure I did, but I did not notice. I apologize.
i went here once, it was extremely wack
You sound wack 👀
