- The QSC K10.2 might be the pound for pound champ when it comes to powered loudspeakers and building out solo acoustic guitar rigs. In this video we'll talk about budget considerations for building out a PA system, what you want out of a powered loudspeaker, and whether the K10.2 is right for you.

I use the OG k-10’s paired with 2 rcf 12” subs for every event. Most underated setup ever
They rock. The QSC k212 sub is amazing too. Just $$$$. Enjoying the channel. Hoping all is well.
Thanks for the review! Just bought one for my solo acoustic setup. Rival sons are amazing!
7:00 into the video and he just now talking about and reviewing the speakers
Thanks for the QSC K10.2 demo. Considering this speaker for solo classical guitar gigs (connected w 1/4 inch cable). Killer man cave, too!
That DMT joke was fantastic!
Can qsc k10.2 speakers set up to an amp
Great review. Keyboard player using Electro-Voice ZLX-12BT 1000W....but someone reccomended the QSK K10.2 ...Would these work great for a keyboard amp?
Yup works perfect for keyboard and any modeling guitar amp such as Kemper.
First time here. Great informative video. I just purchased k12's for 2024. I purchased them after hearing them from a friend. I like the stands you have your speakers mounted on. What brand are those? Will they be able to hold my k12's? Thanks in advance.
Welcome to the channel! The K12s are awesome! I went back on forth between the K10s and 12s but decided to go with the 10s for size and weight. Either are a great option. Shocked at how loud and quiet they are. Here is a link to the stands I'm using... amzn.to/3NR0SFW
Cheers!
@@justinbrogdonAwesome! Yup, they do sound nice and clean. Thank you for the link👍
Hi justin. Thanks for video. Ive recently purchased the ld maui 28 g3 system but unfortunately in noisy pub situations it dosent seem to cut it. I'm thinking of goin back to traditional speaker system. Would you think 10s paired with a 12 sub would be a good choice? We run rock backing tracks and live guitar ,2 vocals. Id live to keeo as compact as possible. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks mate
Hey Mick! Thanks for reaching out. The K10's monsters. they have serious power and the frequency ranege is very impressive. Depending on how bottom heavy the backing tracks are you could probably get by with just a pair of K10s. Adding a sub would definitely get it done. Good luck. Cheers! JB.
Thank you so much. Is it ok to use a different brand sub like rcf 12 or do i have to worry about pairing them up . Sorry for all the questions 😊
@micksmith3352 I have mix and matched subs and mains for years with no issues. You should be fine.
@@justinbrogdon thank you so much
I’m thinking about buying this setup, I have seen bad reviews about problem called “Protect Mode 4”, have you had any issues?
Hey Marco! I haven't run into that issue yet thankfully. They've been pretty bulletproof for me so far. Super loud, beautifully balanced, and LIGHT! I would buy them again.
I had the Protect Mode 4 issue on a batch of 2021 model year 10.2s. QSC was relly good about this and just swapped out the amps. They absolutly admit that there was an issue with some of the boards made during the mid/post pandemic supply chain crunch, and have since rectified this. I just used one of my repaired boxes last night pulling dual duty as both a bass amp and a stage monitor and it performed flawlessly. Your mileage may vary, but if you get a new one, you should be in the clear. (I am not affiliated with QSC in any way, I just enjoy the product and they also treated me very well with service.)
I'm currently running a bose l1 pro 16 and although they sound great at most medium sized indoor venues, I find it throws sound like a huge light net outdoors and lacks power for that use. I'm thinking of purchasing a single k series speaker and want that power for outdoor parties as a solo acoustic act with a bass drum beat pedal. Should I go with a k12.2 or k10.2. I like the idea of the smaller speaker as I'm playing across the state now but if the upgrade to the k12 is worth it I'll do that. Thanks
I use an Lpro32 Bose with sub 2, along with a QSC CP 12 on either side. Fantastic sound combo.
The CP12 is much better than K10.2 in terms of getting a fuller sound.
Thanks. Good video. Tip: Anyone who can hear the difference between a k10.2 and an Auratone will benefit from hearing the speaker, yea verily, even on UA-cam, regardles of YT compression. Anyone who can "hear" wants to. Thanks again.
Hi, i'm a singer song writer. Wish i had a band, but NOBODY Ever seems to Fit In with me. Oh well? I have an interesting thought to share. Have you ever tried mixing the sound between rigid PA Band speakers With softer sounding home stereo speakers? The results are phenomenal. Thats what i do in my studio. 🎙️
Hey Jessica! Thanks for stopping by. I haven't tried that, but I might have to give it a try. Cheers!
dmt comment so i subbed
K12s have narrower throw actually. That’s why the k12s work better for monitors. Great video.
Awful video. Can you possibly get to the point? And then, never light 'em up!
Thanks for the feedback✌
