Totally! What I love about sound is that no two people hear the same thing, so if the Alto works for you, Amazing!! I have not has the chance to hear this speaker but it looks great fro the price point!
Like they state on their website front-page. STILL THE ONE 6-7 years in. Alot of people still have them under warranty. Engineered with all the specs companies are just getting to now..
I literally just compared these against the new EV ZLX15 G2 and it wasnt even remotely close. I bought the EV's on the spot and the EV's were cheaper, too.
I love BOSE systems, sometimes they are almost a bit too clever. Lots of processing going on in the background. But they sound good! If you are just using speakers for yourself and you love the sound of the BOSE, I say stick with it. If you wanna have something that you could pair with a second rental set or maybe rent out to other people I would say the JBL is the way to go.
@Wouter.ErweeTech I have never had anyone be disappointed with my Bose systems and I agree with you about JbL. I have them too. I would never lone or rent out any of my Bose speakers. Great video and I appreciate your comment!
Solid review bud. Any chance you could review the Wharfedale Typhon-ax12. Or have you used them before? From what I've heard they are very good value for money
I will have a look to see if you can get them in the US. When I lived in South Africa they were very common in the industry and great value for the money you spent!
I think there is a reason it's still going so strong after this many years. The K12.2 sets the standard that everyone else compares too in terms of price and sound quality.
Do you think an Everse 12 would sound significantly worse k.12.2? ... I want a speaker with a battery and I'm torn between buying an everse 8 for around town or selling my k.12.2 to buy everse 12... around town would be acoustic guitar and vocals, but my use case for k.12 at home is a power amp for my electric guitar modelers and also playing practice tracks... would I miss the QSC at home if I went with one everse 12 speaker for everything?
I do not think you can compare the two when it comes to sound quality + the everse runs of battery so it's most likely going to be underpowered. Bigger question is, what is more important to you. Sound quality or Mobility?
I bought a pair of these speakers used twice, but I ended up getting rid of them-they’re just not powerful enough for DJ gigs. They work great as monitors, though. Eventually, I upgraded to a pair of JBL SRX12s, and the difference in sound quality is massive! Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend the K12s; they’re overrated for what they deliver.
@@dustinadair7893 its just that here, we have qsc copy. Still wondering how a copy can be grade A+ A B C when a copy will be a copy. But we have original mackies
Yeah, I was wondering why they are not exploring that market. A lot of other brands are leaning into the ultra portable market. Hopefully they have something coming out soon!
The K12.2 sound good but they suck! They have too many random problems. Not even being blown but the OS just messes up. Turns on and off and to switch the out with warranty, have some the just randomly clip and stay that way for no reason when the other ones are at the same volume, I have a pair that just flickers on and off. I own 12 of these only 5 are still good. Meanwhile RCF sounds better and is way louder. 945a is a 15 inch but I don’t run Bass pass 80hz through my tops when I say that rcf is like a concert speaker… 1 is equal to 2 of these
Hello, interesting! I have never heard of 7 or 12 K12 having issues. That seems like a really high ration. Interested, are you running in the US or 220v? Power conditioner? I love RCF. Owned one of the first TT's line array systems when they originally came out. The 945a is amazing but you should probably compare that to a SRX915P.

I'm a mobile DJ and I have a pair of these. They are my go to speakers. They still sound great and are plenty loud after years of use. love em'
These are very popular for a reason. Small cabinets and they still sound great. A pair of these gets you a long way.
I own 4 K12.2 / 2 K8.2 for my mobile wedding set ups I love them and buy them over and over again if needed
That's awesome! Sounds like you've found the perfect setup for your weddings.
I’ve bought a Alto TS415 from Alto Professional for my bedroom and I highly recommend buying it

It is certainly one of the "longest running" models out there that is still great compared to when it was released.
my favorite speaker is rcf art 745 that’s what im using past 6-7 years
Yes, the art 745 is a great speaker!!
Does have a fuse for the power

I have only head good things of the G2's. Got to hear them early at NAMM'24 and they were very impressive!
Dang I’d like to hear them side by side, I’ve yet to hear a better quality speaker than the QSCs.
@@dustinadair7893 I also bought the EKX18s and the sound is pretty incredible!
Im getting this and thinking about putting it in my trunk as subs that i can bring inside type shit is this good idea or terrible
Not sure that is the best idea. Going to need a big converter for power as well, haha.

Yeah, I think if you compare them to as 12" SRX the are definitely going to be lacking in power.
Is the QSC K12.2 a bluetooth speaker?
They are not. Are you looking to stream music via Bluetooth or control speaker dynamics and volume via Bluetooth?
@Wouter.ErweeTech I found out I have to have an adapter, I just wanted to play music frm my phone, thks for the feedback!
