Chinese Long Tube Headers On My LS2 Powered CTS-V!

- We install some long tube headers on our LS2 CTS-V. We got rid of the nasty cat pipe that was on the car when I got it, and made the exhaust sound much better.

Brilliant. I have the same headers in my car hole. Just need the time to install them. I dig the ATF/acetone juice trick, too.

MG Motorsports - what brand/specs is that ATF? I had trouble hearing exactly the mix.
Great vid, I also had issue w steering rod in the way, no biggie tho.
I just installed a full header back stainless works exhaust on my v, I also had 1 of the stock bolts on driver side back near firewall, head of the bolt was broken off, I just left stud in and used it as a guide lol
They sent aluminum gasket maker w the stainless works kit , I didn't use the oem steel gasket and i didn't have no exhaust leaks on mine using the alum gasket maker, luckily.
On the rear o2 sensors I just cut the ends off added some wiring and put them back together, no need waste money on extensions Haha
I bought the name brand wasted 2400 bux should went w the cheapo headers like this, but I also added a vortech s/c so I wanted a half decent build. Your car sounds great tho.
My next thing is the wideband, I definitely gotta pick one up and install it.

I you where going to tune it, you should just get rear 02's turned off in tune they provide no function outside of checks and balance for the fronts then you could have just screwed your wideband in one of the rear 02 bungs.

I am very pleased with them, everything is holding up very well and absolutely no issues as of today! I would definitely recommend a set

Can ats v headers be used in atsl cars?
Did you get a tune for the LT headers looking to go that route at the end of the month also Did you notice a difference once you put the headers on.
Yes I tuned it myself with HP Tuners. Definitely noticed a difference in power, it’s such a fun car.

I did it myself, so just had to buy the HP tuners handheld and I was able to change all the fueling and spark myself. Make sure you subscribe, I’ll be going through it in a little more detail in a future episode.
How are the plugs to replace now with the long tubes? Can you still get the starter out?
The plugs are no problem, but the starter probably needs to have the headers removed before accessing it.
Did you only hook up one of the o2 sensors. On my cts there’s 2 can I just put one ?
These long tubes delete the cats, so only the front O2 sensors are necessary. That will cause a check engine light though if you do not get a tune or the O2 extensions (which are hit or miss)

It’s not necessary but you will likely have a check engine light if you don’t. You also pick up a decent bit of power.

Nope, no need to remove the starter for the headers.

Ls6 was available in 04-05, in 06 they went to the ls2.
