@@Ludeboi420 How much cheaper do you want them to get? The V2 and V3 are obviously the more desirable. These had glass rear ends and haven't aged as well as the V2 and V3. Plus 800++hp is so easy to make with the LSA and LT4. I'd love a head, cam, TVS2650, exhaust, fuel system M6 V2 or F1A-94, head, cam, exhaust, fuel system M6 V3
@zeddy mcdog yes but unlikely the 4th Gen F bodies that also had glass rear ends it is extremely expensive to upgrade the IRS. I absolutely love the LS engine platform and I've owned everyone of them in almost every state of modification that you can imagine and a Kong 2650 V2 or F1A-94 V3 is absolutely what I would own. They're just much better cars than the V1 in almost every possible way. The only one thqr the V1 wins is price, but ti make the same power and run the same times with a V1 that a HCE ported stock LSA with pulleys on a tire would run the difference in initial purchase price is nothing. I have a 2001 RCSB that was Procharged that I took apart to go in a different direction and my plan is LSA with forged rotating assembly, heads, cam, ported LSA initially and then 2650 with a Tremec 6060 and a narrower 14 bolt 6 lug rear end with 4.11 or 4.30 gears and a 28.5"-29.5" tall rear tire. I've had several 4th Gen F bodies with the T56 and 4.11 gears were my favorite but they had 26" tires and even with a HCI LS6 on nitrous made alot less torque than I plan on making with the LSA. But that car weighed 3300lbs or so and my truck weighs 4200-4500. Once I get finished with it and my Yukon that I'm essentially building as a full size Trailblazer SS I would love to have a V3 as a comfortable full size luxury sedan. My RCSB has Viking coilovers front and rear and is about 6-7" lower in the front and 7-8" in the back so it won't be useful as a truck since it's setup for handling, stiffness, and drag racing. I hope the RCSB makes around 800-900whp with a 6 speed manual. My Yukon also has Viking DA coilovers in the front and spindles with full tubular rear suspension 5" lowering coils and air bags so it can do some light towing, certainly more than the truck but it's more setup for handling but I hope to see 450whp in its final state of engine mods to the NA head, cam, ported intake, and exhaust LS2 I swapped in. So a V3 with a F1A-94, heads, cam, exhaust, fuel system, and other supporting mods should easily make 850-950whp while remaining relatively tame. With just some nice wider lighter wheels for daily usage and a track setup. Better brake pads, SS brake lines, and a very mild suspension drop. But I only want good smooth power that us reliable, comfortable, with simple visual mods, that could easily be used for a road trip to TX2k be raced there and back without any massive failure. I know people have taken the LT4 to over 1k closer to 1100whp with a F1A-94 but I think at my desired power level it would reliably make it over and over for a long time. Between those 3 vehicles I will have the best of the LS/LT platform, a NA 364ci LS2, a TVS supercharged 376ci LSA, and a centrifugal supercharged 376ci LT in my favorite chassis. Only other car I would want to add would be a lightened C6 Z06 with forged crank, ported heads, cam, intake, M6, on a drag pack, on a 175-200hp progressive nitrous setup. A mid to high 8 second C6Z on spray, 14 second Yukon, 11 possibly 10 second RCSB Silverado, and a high 9 ultra low 10 second CTS V3
Having said all that I do really want to build a 388ci Dart or LSX block with 6 bolt heads. 4.125" bore and 3.66" stroke. Who knows maybe I will leave the LSA bottom end stock and end up building a 388ci to go under the 2650 and push it if the 4.065" bore 376ci LSA doesn't make the power I want or it does and I get bored with it at that power level, or the engine gets hurt while modifying it before the build is complete. I was seriously considering building a 388 and turbocharging it when I pulled the Procharged setup out of the truck but I don't think I want to go turbo and automatic transmission. SinceI want to go with a 6 speed manual and I just sold my TBSS with a 11.8 CR 416ci LS3 that made 540whp I don't want another big cube NA LS3 or aftermarket based engine in the truck. So the LSA is the obvious choice because stock they're 580hp or around 470 or so whp and a LSA Tremec pull out isn't a bunch more expensive than a LS3 Tremec pullout. Especially if you consider with headers, HEX, pulleys, intake, fuel, ported blower, and tune it would make 600whp and to get that from a NA LS3 would take more than my TBSS LS3 had and it was a complete build.

@@Lucille69caddy can verify. My essentially stock 2006 V does 13.1 @ 111 with a junk street-start. A 2.0s 60' time would have put me nicely in the high 12s..
Thanks for sharing!
the style aged better than most BMWs and the Peugeot 607, including every others european cars except Citroën
I can't believe this is a RETRO review haha!
Great job
From Argentina
Keep it up
Didn't the older LS2 also make 400hp? 🤨
Do the Cadillac XLR next Mr Davis 💪
Absolutely awesome car!!!!
Wasn’t this the same Cadillac to be in the matrix
I just saw one of these on test drive from carmax. The driver floored it and it sounded great!
Geez base price would be about $75,000 today.
Beautiful
Seen these at mecum for decent money
Cadillac bring back the cts v wagon.
It took them 15 years of trying (and mostly failing) to create a truly high performance caddy to finally get it right with the CTS-V.
I owned one and love it!!!
This is a worthy alternative to German brands. Too bad that many buyers disagreed.
Crazy how these are still bringing in 50-60k retail no matter the miles
Because its LS based.
Not even close...a v2 maybe...not one of these
I prefer the CTS v6, higher mpg and smaller price tag
It could do under 5.0 second without burnout!
The trap speed told us that. 13.7 at 108 lol. Should have been closer to 12.9 at 108.
Always wanted an Art and Science bodied car, preferably supercharged.
John Davis Long may you live. The Fiesta Flash 🤙🏼🍺🍺🍺
Manual Blackwing CT4 or CT5 is the way to go
Wait does V really stand for verocious?
Retro? This was just a few years ago. Dang near yesterday
The matrix reloaded highway chase with this badboy was filled with bullet holes.
Retro, damn, I'm old!
