First time I’m hearing about that spacer , I knew about the notching but I thought a ls7 slave cylinder went it like nothing……I’m glad I’m doing a lot of research before doing it myself
Great guys to deal with .
When setting up the stock throw out bearing, what's the preferred air gap?
What a fantastic video. I came wondering how this compares to the LuK ls7 clutch
Would it hold up to a 470whp LS1 Camaro? Not launching all the time but mainly 30 rolls on the high way.
Why are there some Ls7 clutch discs that have springs and others that look like your clutch disc without springs? Which version is better?
How much power can this clutch handle ?
Some have had it handle over 600 whp but it also depends upon use and the driver. Sticky tires and launching at the track all the time? Probably going to be less. Just using it for street duty and onramp pulls/spirited driving? Probably fine.
@@Sdpartscenter 600hp would be perfect. Even with the LUK clutch?
Will this work with a Gen 3 5.3? I have a T56 from a first gen CTSV that I want to use with the 5.3 I am building up.
Did you ever get a response im on the same boat 6 speed swap my 02 sierra with 5.3 bring to get info
@@victor.hugo.differentialz I don't think I did. I ended up letting the shop sort it out and it was trial/error on a couple parts. sorry.
Will this kit fit in my 2002 stock Corvette
It will. I just bought the ls7 kit from tick for my 01 vette base since it included their hydraulic goodies. From my understanding you’ll need the ls7 flywheel as well and remain with ls1 or ls6 hydraulics
GM buys their clutches from LUK. Sorry guys...
