For the next 2 years it was long distance. We saw each other every 3 months or so. We took turns paying for the plane ticket. We took turns paying for stuff. She must have felt like the owner of life and death for those unfortunate to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The woman in this video is just a minuscule and almost hilarious expression of that train of thought. So I try to be empathetic and keep myself accountable. We come from different places and having the patience, strength and wisdom to reconcile different points of view is the only way to establish deep connections. Also walking away from a situation like this one gracefully (happened to me many times in my youth) is an Art by itself and denotes wisdom. What starts good may spoil, but what starts badly usually will keep worsening. I don´t mind paying and play the part unless extremely obnoxious then I ghost these kind of people afterwards. Be well.

Hell I think for our first official date we went to Burger King and that was because I was the majority supporter where I was living and had next to nothing to do things I wanted to do. For the next 2 years it was long distance. We saw each other every 3 months or so. We took turns paying for the plane ticket. We took turns paying for stuff. We were engaged before I was back home and we were living together. We have had a combined bank account since then. I used to be the breadwinner, so I paid for more stuff. She now makes more money than I do. We have always been a team. None of this selfish BS we see far too much of today!

Also walking away from a situation like this one gracefully (happened to me many times in my youth) is an Art by itself and denotes wisdom. This goes two-fold, and I'm not saying it to criticize you, it's more of the whole situation. The end, where he says "All this cost $50", you can hear her copping an attitude like she couldn't believe it was that much for some burgers and fries, and she basically DEMANDS to see the receipt because she thinks he's lying.
