Sansa has every right to be stubborn cause it's actually Daenerys who was being stubborn by not just letting the North have independence, I love how Sansa wasn't stepping down for standing up for the North because it's what her people want.

It’s funny how people have different views. I was so with Sansa on the north being on its own, and Dany was the one being stubborn
Then came the scene with Jon, and I realized she doesn’t want the throne for the Targaryens…she only wants it for herself.
And some fans were so angry at Sansa for telling Tyrion…and I cheered her on 😄 and as far as her not holding the secret very long…it was a now or never moment.

It's not just Sansa, the Northern Lords have rejected southern rule. They want a Stark ruling the North, and Sansa is fighting for that. She's playing the game with Dany, and playing it like Littlefinger, immediately causing chaos by telling Tyrion. It's fun watching her make these moves.

Oh, forcing Jon to keep quiet was a surpreme act of hypocricy. 'Sure, Jon, this thing I have belongs to you, but you must not even tell anyone of it.'
If she had been all about the dynasty, she would have enthusiastically kneeled before Jon and pledged support for his kinship. She'd in all likelihood end up being his hand and the most powerful person in Westeros, but she was always too greedy to even see it as an option.

Sansa has learned from Cersei & Littlefinger, she knows power hungry people when she sees them. The main reason she doesn’t like Dany is because she thinks she’s manipulating Jon… which Daenerys did try to do this episode. I know everyone was mad at Sansa for telling Tyrion but I’m not. She’s doing what she thinks is best for her family and her people. From the season 7 to now, Sansa has always looked out for her people. Whereas Jon was only concerned about the white walkers. And now that they’re gone he’s still not even thinking about his people. He’s only worried about Daenerys. Sansa told Tyrion about Jon because she, Arya and Bran don’t think she would be a good ruler. She’s scared that Jon will die if he goes to Kings Landing. Also, if Daenerys and Jon had listened to Sansa, Rhaegal & Missandei would still be alive. I’m know lots of people think Sansa wants the throne to herself but I don’t think so. She was happy that Jon was king and upset when he bent the knee. She just wants her family together & in some position of power because that’s the only way she’ll feel safe because after Ned was murdered her family has been executed left and right.
    SPOILER BELOW
She might be queen now but her family is gone which is the opposite of what she wanted after being hostage away from them for years.

      This!
That pretty much sums it up.
It baffles me that Sansa was disliked by many and blamed her for Dany’s downfall when in fact logically this was the right thing to do, and it wasn’t hard to notice the path that Dany is ultimately headed towards to, let alone her actions since season 2 and mad queen traits.
Kinda spoilers ahead… loved the speech that Tyrion said to John in the final episode in the cell, it’s like Tyrion words were meant for the audience especially Daenerys fans to understand.

    • @iris-xo

Yep! The only reason people are mad at Sansa is because she questions their favorites when in the end we learn everything Sansa warned Jon about was true. She's the only one who actually stood her ground to fight for independence for the North and make sure her home and people would be safe. Jon bent the knee cause he fell in love with Daenerys after barely knowing her.

@21:25...it was at least 24 hours, Sansa is really conflicted, Sansa swore a promise to Jon, but it was Bran who told the secret.
A promise isn't like an Oath , keeping the promise is totally dependent on what the secret is, keeping or breaking one can't be forced, and if the secret involves criminal actions; well the gods or the law could be bad.
Jon is the rightful ruler, raised in the North by Ned Stark, Jon is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen ( loved by the people in the south ) and Lyanna Stark ( loved in the north ) proven leader and shown to bring different factions together, knows the customs of both the north and south. This was a good move for Sansa to make, the one person who could actually do good. Westeros is on course for a full civil war and lots of deaths.
Jon fought to defeat the WW, Dani and Cersei are fighting for a chair and Sansa is trying to protect her family, House , people and customs.
If Arya has succes and Sansa's plan also works maybe war can be averted.

The last Danaerys heard about Euron Greyjoy was when they presented the undead to Cersei, and Euron said he was sailing back to the Iron Islands and wanted nothing to do with any of them or the the war with the dead. So no, Dany didn't expect the fleet of Iron Island ships. However, she DID know about the great arrows and ballistas because Drogon got hit with one when they attacked convoy in the middle of season 7, she just wouldn't be expecting them while flying over the sea.

After all she’s seen Littlefinger betray her father, House Frey betray her brother and mother, and House Bolton steal the north from her family. After the battle of winterfell most people get completely over the Jon Dany stuff, on some GUYZ PLS JUST RULE TOGETHER shit, as if the conflict from before the Long Night of the polar opposite personalities of the two contenders to the throne would just magically vanish away. Wish there was more space and time to play it out tho. The Bells finally give you what deep down you've always known. Good. Nothing makes me more happy than to see the satisfaction viewers get from cheering for a desensitized war of "good vanquish evil" get snatched away. There's rarely ever any clear cut good wars irl. GoT never had a "good guy reaches the finish line" before and it's not gonna have one now. Daenerys has always been exactly the same type of domineering and intolerant to anyone questioning her authority. Like literally all her scenes since season 2 is her advisors pleading with her not to do something drastic, to not "resolve issues by way of mass slaughter". But I guess she should magically become all tolerant and accomodating now that the people questioning her sagacity aren't unknown Yunkai nobles anymore but beloved characters on this side of the sea.

How long did they take to build Shae and Tyrion or even Robb and Talissa. Dany saves Jon in 7x6. They make out in 7x7 and their world falls apart 3 episodes later. Jane Austen couldn't have made an emotional attachment out of a romance that rushed! I think with time and proper buildup there could've been a lot of mileage to that Dany Jon Sansa triangle. I don't think it was a forced conflict,I think it was a rushed conflict. The antagonism of North and South was always at the heart and soul of GoT. But it did not feel organic cause it was an afterthought, sandwiched between two rushed storylines to serve as a bridge. The "isolation in foreign land" concept makes all the sense for someone who has always been insecure, not good at handling dissent, used to adulation. But they dumbed it down to showing close-ups of Dany's face to demonstrate her descent into isolation and paranoia. When Sam said "you gave up your crown, will she do the same?" that was the perfect setup. I'm fascinated by the "good ruler who doesn't want to rule but has leadership forced upon him" premise. But it's mostly words shoved down in the span of a few episodes instead of showing by example. What we should've gotten was more of a contrast of Dany and Jon's leadership in Westeros, the Targaryen heads & tails in action. More of the politics, like giving Gendry Storm's End. A turn had to have happened. It would've never been as easy as Dany and Jon "ruling together" or some of the other simplistic outcomes people cry about. Maybe Sansa should've married Jon and betrayed him more explicitly for it to have worked. Maybe it could've been Tyrion betraying Dany, with Tyrion as a prototype of Richard III. But whatever it was, it needed time, a slower burn, and a less heavy handed "inciting incident". Instead we get jealous Dany serving Mean Girls looks at dinner. The execution of Last of the Starks is horrid. NOT because of the direction they go, but the lazy way they get there. *That scene of Dany pleading with Jon about Sansa would be an extremely compelling moment if it came at the end of a long arc and not a 3 episode relationship*

Sansa knows the history, spent her first 12 /13 years learning from her parents and septa how to run a great house, and spent the last 8 seasons learning what to do and not do under the likes of Cersei, Lady Olenna, Tyrion, Littlefinger and Jon, Sansa has the training and the people love her.
Dani already has Missandei and Grey worm ready to bail on her, and if she looses anymore dragons the Dothraki will abandon her.

As like in World War II, the Battle of Midway, entire fleets of ships were hidden behind islands not able to be seen till the planes were actually past the island. Planes fly at a much higher altitude then dragons do, assuming the air is the same density in GOT as it is on Earth, where the higher you are the harder it is to breath. Ships hid behind islands as in here, we all got a good glimpse of an island that Euron's ships were hidden behind. There were clouds too in the scene, just below them. As if none of us experienced looking out the window of a plane & all we saw was clouds, yet we were over a major city. Still, it shouldn't explain that Euron's ships were able to get off a good shot before being exposed. At minimum it should work both ways.
It's as silly, as the writing, giving a rare Vaelaryan Steel dagger to a cut throat as if a regular dagger couldn't have done the job to kill a kid. The stupidity of it, supposedly leaving a crumb trail to yourself, how very discreet. The writing further compounding things by giving Catlyn Stark, the IQ of Hodor to bite on that dopey reasoning, hook, line & sinker, because Baelish said so. No light bulb going on, that it is illogical, too obvious & not discreet at all to use such a rare dagger to do a job when any dagger would of done the job. That, to me, is poor writing, much worse than the ship scene here. It started the whole chain of events in GOT. The stupidity of it, was mentioned several times in the last few seasons. Not sure if D&D threw a dig at George on that, as I'm pretty sure they were seething that George left them hung out to dry, for not putting out the next book in 10+ years, nothing since they took the job when the three signed on with HBO.

Or "Her and my fate are linked. You cannot burn me to death without burning her too." That last one making more visibly sense by using the chain to lock Missandei and Cersei together.

What about Dany’s rule was ever considered to display an ability to be a good ruler? I don’t understand just curious, she has always been a dictator to me. It’s always been my way or the highway with her. She wants the throne even though it never was hers. She can’t have children no succession then what’s the point of taking the throne in the first? Who rules after her ? Should there be another war after she dies because she can’t have children. Why start a war to take the throne and leave it without a plan. She would have never fought to liberate slaves or stop cruelty if a concept of a throne didn’t exist. She is not a liberator , she is not a person who breaks chains , she is not a person who cares about stopping cruelty unless it gives her the seven kingdoms. Pure hypocrite, narcissist and self righteous ruler. She has been told she is special for no reason , she believes she is the saviour of the world , she believes that is her destiny. She’s kind of Hitlerish.

Neh.... if I was Dany, especially considering all these circumstances and all she's recently lost, I'd also be a person that would be completely on board if she fkn destroys everything and be totally justified in doing so. Having said that.... the condition of the dragon being injured in The Long Night, and the lack of any forward scouting was a tactical mistake, but I completely get the second guessing she has with her advisors; and the fact about the Jon news and not really feeling the North is going to completely be loyal and not knowing to trust Jon isn't going to keep the secret..... yeah, she's totally justified, and the lack of tactical judgement is really true to probably what would happen in real life if a person didn't take advice from advisors and second guessed if everyone still respected/wanted/feared your rule. Great reaction!

In the books it’s different when she’s arrested by the faith and wrote a letter to Jamie to help her but he ignores it and burns the letter. Ever since she told their father what they did their relationship became very strained and Cersei isn’t really in love with him she only likes him because that’s her twin and he’s a knight who is noble bold and a man something she isn’t and her children are nothing but pawns for her to get power. The writers in the show ignored so much amazing material in the books that should’ve got in the show especially the white walkers being the biggest threat only to be killed in the third episode of season 8. Dany jon Tyrion are meant to fight the white walkers in the books and I believe Jamie will play a role as well
