Jamie and Brienne‘s relationship is one of if not the most healthy and pure one. From start to finish you can tell they have chemistry and that they loved each other. I think most people whether conscious of it or not, have just decided in their minds that they’re an untypical pair because Brienne is more masculine and not ‘conventionally attractive.’ But when you really look at it, it’s always been romantic. From the “we don’t choose who we love” line, to him losing a hand for her, to him jumping in front of a BEAR for her. Their relationship was so refreshing.

@@amokafor6713I don’t think Brienne and Jamie were fan service. Jamie has always been infatuated, in love, and addicted to Cersei. Cersei is like an addiction to him, he can’t help that he loves her, and he knows that love is toxic and harmful, but he can’t help himself, much like a drug addict with their drug of choice. However we see a lot of growth from Jaime season after season. We see him gain empathy, learn from his mistakes and become a better person all around. As he becomes a healthier person, he realizes how toxic Cersei is and finally admits to himself he loves Brienne. Daenarys entire army wasn't present at Kings Landing because she was there for a discussion of surrender not a fight. She's waiting for her ally armies to arrive before the battle which most likely wiould take a few days.
And also remember the discussion just before saying that Jon is still on the way by land with the Northerners and probably the remaining Dothraki. So she only had the Unsullied with her.
A lot of people hate this episode for many reasons but one of the biggest reasons was what one of the writers said during the episode insider. David Benioff when talking about how Daenerys didn’t see the Iron Fleet approaching and shooting down Rhagael said “While Dany kinda forgot about the Iron Fleet and Eurons forces, they certainly haven’t forgotten about her”. Yes, she forgot, even though her entire army talked about them at the battle plan table earlier in the episode. Our expectation for the rest of the seaosn went in the crapper when we heard that. Like wtf? You wrote that and thought it made it sense for her character. How?
Eh, aside from what DB said, from the character's perspective they were expecting the Iron Fleet to probably be stationed around King's Landing to protect the shores, she probably didn't expect them to be waiting for her at Dragonstone. That's my only plausible reasoning as to why she wasn't more at the ready for any ambush. (though honestly, why Cersei didn't just take Dragonstone while everybody was up North fighting the Dead is beyond me. Thats something I would have done, the castle was unguarded just take it as a stronghold)
People read way too much into the inside the episodes quotes. Dany kinda forgot is a figure of speech. Obviously Dany didn’t forget about the iron fleet when she was just talking about them a couple scenes ago. She just assumed they would be in KL protecting their queen.

They all forgot they were at war and should be looking for ambushes. A few episodes ago both Dany and Tyrion were discussing traps that Cersei might lay. But now they forget.
Why can’t Arya be both? Because she doesn’t want to be a lady at all… being a lady comes with its own duties and responsibilities not to mention obligation of being a wife and producing heirs. Arya doesn’t want that. It’s more than just not being able to fight
Rhaegal gets shot 3 times like someone was playing a first person shooter with quick save, then the whole army changes into a bunch of storm troopers against Drogon. Sorry but you have entered into the dreaded final 3. It was still fun joining you on this journey
The reason Bronn had such a random betrayal just excused with "well he likes money" is because of the creators, again, changing the source material. In the books Bronn is absolutely cut throat, but he loves tyrion. He named his wife's child tyrion and cersei tried to have him assassinated over it
The books are a different version of the story, George himself has made that clear. When Bronn took Cersei’s deal in S4, this is what Tyrion had to say “Why are you sorry? Because you're an evil bastard with no conscience and no heart? That's what I liked about you in the first place.” We all know about the scene where Tyrion said he’d pay double if anyone tried to sell Tyrion out: and that’s exact what happened in this episode. “If anyone offered me money to kill you, you’d double it. What’s double river run?”
So I’ve watched quite a few reactions to GoT and I have to wonder about a scene in this episode that nobody seems to be catching on to, unless their reaction is being cut out. When Brienne, Jamie and Tyrion are having their drinking game, Podrick is with them. When Tyrion makes the claim that Brienne is a virgin, everyone is focused on her reaction. Yet, all I can notice is Pod taking a drink at that point. Does he just like his wine or is that hinting at something else? We never actually hear that he has lost his virginity. He has just admitted he did “lots” of things to the whores. You can please a person without losing your virginity. I may be reading more into it than is there but it just gets more obvious each time I see that scene.
I don't think that fighting the dead is harder than fighting Cersei - at least from an emotional standpoint. It should be much harder for you to kill living people (you might even know) than undead.
22:40 This has to be the most illogical and one of the worst directed scenes in television history. How does one ambush and sneak up on a Dragon in the sky? 😅It's literally impossible, in fact it's so impossible that they had to break all the laws of physics just to accomplish it. How does a medieval era scorpion on a boat hit a moving target perfectly 3 times like they're playing Fortnite or something. Why does Dany abandon the battle for no reason, she has the biggest high ground ever to exist, just circle behind them and burn the fleet. How does Missandei on a skiff heading to Dragonstone somehow get captured in Kings Landing. Jaime abandoned Cersei because she broke her word and refused to do what's best for the country and now he's going back, to be with her? die with her? fight for her? ....what changed plot wise? was a one night stand from the only person who knows his side of the story and can vouch that he's an honorable person, really all he wanted? Basically a waste of 7 years of character development if i've ever seen one. Why does Tyrion say Cersei's not a monster when that's all she's ever been to him his entire life. Yeah this episode was a 5/10 for me. Also D&D kinda forgot noble born bastards from King's Landing or the Stormlands are called Waters or Storm not Rivers. One more added to the list to show that they genuinely stopped caring about the story once a more lucrative opportunity came knocking.
When you saw those scorpions on the walls of kingslanding.. You said "how did they do it " , but when Daenerys told sansa that, "Longer I leave my enemies alone, the stronger they become ". That's exactly what happened.. But that time u said Daenerys pisses me off.. U all just focussing on the things which has to be taken care.. But u never really consideres who took care of it.. Mostly it was Daenerys.. It's a shiity idea that Daenerys and her army should solve or win every battle.. Then in the name of a Targaryen uncertainty, you will remove her and put the starks on the throne.. I too love the starks.. But don't you think that's so not fair.. And it's wrong too.. Any member from a honorable house like Stark should not do that.. Don't be so partial
05:31 "cool, i guess" is my reaction to all the non-sense pseudohype in the last seasons, where writers jumbled all their imagination away from source material
The IMDb ratings for season 8 of GOT are way too low in my opinion. Similar to how fans seemed to jump on the hate bandwagon for season 8 of the walking dead.
Id Daenerys piss you off, what about sansa the snake?? she was a good person when things were bad for and and after that she became presumptuous and arrogant. She revelead THE secret just few moments after she swore she never told anyone. PoS Sansa...selfish arrogant. Also Arya...she basically said they used Daenerys, like evil people do with good ones...Deanerys (and the army) was useful but that's it.
I too loved Got until the end but had some complaints in the back of my head . Then I watched some critiques and read the books ( books didn't change my opinions I actually prefer the show in many aspects ) I realized just how much I shut off my brain and didn't want to aknowledge that I'm watching The Dragon Show(tm) and Game of Thrones died a long time ago...
Until i did a rewatch for the first time recently, I didn't realize how much the show changed even from season 1. Like even the glory seasons like 3/4 and parts of 6, in hindsight, didn't have that intrigue and character-centered feel like S1, which imo felt closest to the books.
You can´t really blame the characters for all the dumb thing they´re saying in this last season. It´s the writers fault. A character can only be as smart as it´s writer
after the long night they could have send arya to kings landing to do the job- end of story. no battle needed- no burning of kings landing needed. but that wouldnt be a gripping story. but actually the most logical thing. but logic went out of the window in season 8. they all acted out of character and forgot things...
this show was the most watched show in the world and the writers fucked it all up with seasons 7-8 and had zero idea what to do with the characters and relationships.
I believe Dani made gendry the lord of storms end to show her dominance also. Proving she was infact THE queen and had the power to do it. She started to disappoint me season 7 with that whole, bend the knee power thing. Not who I thought she would end up being after her build up

When the seasons over you should look at some of the many many yuotube videos breaking down why season 7 and 8 suck. Some real funny content there that explains it.
not sure if you know this but given your confusion with the bron side story his actor & cerseis (lena headey) dated & apparently it ended pretty bad where they can’t even be in the same room together; hence why it was qyburn that sent him to kill jaime & tyrion
"Their not going to be together. "Their going to get together, it's obvious." You're too easily swayed, stick to your guns. That goes for your review of episode 3 too. If you liked the episode, like you really did, stick to your guns. Stop dissecting things(One can dissect every episode, there has been some real doozies in the earlier seasons too), after the fact, to placate the Monday Morning QBs who went back & destroyed episode 3, ONLY AFTER they disliked the last few episodes. I suggest watching the dozens of original reactors who reacted to the show as the episodes first aired to prove my point. NOT 1 had a beef with it, other then it was dark & hard to see things at times. You do understand that haters can vote down an episode, weeks, months & years later? The silent majority, gave episode 3, the 4th most "10" of "10"s among all GOT episodes. The problem is, up to season 8, hardly any episode got a 6 or less from anyone taking the time to vote on IMDB. The haters, went & voted down all of season 8's episodes, giving each episode a horrible avg. despite all the "10"s episode three got.
I think you misinterpreted me. I said it’s “too obvious” about the Brienne/Jamie thing because of their past, but I also thought they would never do it because they don’t match well. Both of these statements can be true.
Alright well.....Episode 5 and 6 are the only 2 episodes in the show i DO NOT like, it almost made it all the way! at least in terms of the characters lets be clear on that. and the visuals are great!
Funny how Dany and the dragon's couldn't see an entire fleet of ships. Funny how Euron and his men nailed three shots into a secondary dragon and zero into Drogon. Funny how in the next episode the same people couldn't hit Drogon again. Funny how the writing went to shit while these writers tried to secure their Star Wars movie. Poopie poops.
Cersei Lannister is actually the only true heir after Tommen died. After all “official” Robert’s children died throne had only two most related people to Robert: Gendry and Cersei. Throughout the history bastards and widows have kind of equal chance to become the next ruler. And since no one knows about Gendry in the capital it’s obvious that Cersei became next true ruled of the kingdom with next in line Jaime and Tyrion as brothers of the widow of the king (Robert). The fact that Cersei’s children were bastards doesn’t matter because no one could prove it and we could see that this fact didn’t bother a lot of people in this show (as it usually was in these times)
I know Danny and John are so-called “true” heirs but let’s be honest. Robert won the war, he destroyed old dynasty and created the new one - Baratheons. When all of the Baratheons died Lannisters became a new dynasty (through the marriage with Cersei). This how monarchy works. Every country, every state changed their dynasties due lack of heirs, wars, marriages, etc. It’s impossible to just go back in time every time talking about current ruler and remembering someone from old bloodline. (Windsors, current monarchs in England in that way would be illegal royals since one day related to Tudors (old dynasty) person comes up. It doesn’t wake that way). And anyway, it’s logician and Cersei became the queen cause she got the family right, respect, fear and well, bunch of dead lords after the church explosion. And there were no Dany, John, Tyrion, etc to stop it
We, the viewers, were OWED the scene where Sansa and Arya learned about Jon's birthright. I have never heard or read a definitive answer as to why that scene wasn't included. Was it filmed then cut for time or what?
In the commentary track they said “We’ve seen the scene play out 3 times now: Sam finds out, Jon finds out, and Dany finds out. We just felt like we were wasting time having the same scene play out a 4th time.” I’m paraphrasing, but that’s essentially why we didn’t see it.
7:24 “fair” is a stretch considering women haven’t been put in charge historically. A little naive to think suddenly people would “vote” for one over a male option of the same family and entitlement on the ballot 😅 10:55 bruh how bout because she doesn’t **want** to do both? This ep is so plot-stuffed and where I really lost any remaining faith in the writers to give us some sort of satisfactory ending 😢

Why can’t Arya be both? Because she doesn’t want to be a lady at all… being a lady comes with its own duties and responsibilities not to mention obligation of being a wife and producing heirs. Arya doesn’t want that. It’s more than just not being able to fight
if i was Missandei i would push Cersei off that wall and jump die my own way. the end.
Rhaegal gets shot 3 times like someone was playing a first person shooter with quick save, then the whole army changes into a bunch of storm troopers against Drogon.
Sorry but you have entered into the dreaded final 3. It was still fun joining you on this journey
Jon Snow is married to Ygritte in real life!
I personally hate this Episode
Such a god awful episode. I dunno how can you not laugh from the absurdity of all the shots missing Drogon….
OK.... What a unique opinion.... Congrats 👏👏
@@Rash23215 oh sorry, an opinion is valid only when it disagrees with the majority? Damn bro, you are so unique👌
More for me.
From here on our it's a rushed shit show.
I think he sang for the girls and he never slept with them 😂
Bruh i think that was just him dipping out of a situation that suddenly got awkward and uncomfortable.
Eh, the question wasn't for him so I don't think he was drinking as an answer to that question, lol
I don't think that fighting the dead is harder than fighting Cersei - at least from an emotional standpoint. It should be much harder for you to kill living people (you might even know) than undead.
Seeing Rhaegal die gave me PTSD. Not because of how sad it was but because of how stupid and thoughtless it was 🤦♂️
22:40 This has to be the most illogical and one of the worst directed scenes in television history.
5/10 for this episode is generous
Right!?
I too loved Got until the end but had some complaints in the back of my head .
Then I watched some critiques and read the books ( books didn't change my opinions I actually prefer the show in many aspects )
I realized just how much I shut off my brain and didn't want to aknowledge that I'm watching The Dragon Show(tm) and Game of Thrones died a long time ago...
Until i did a rewatch for the first time recently, I didn't realize how much the show changed even from season 1. Like even the glory seasons like 3/4 and parts of 6, in hindsight, didn't have that intrigue and character-centered feel like S1, which imo felt closest to the books.
@@CASantos pretty much yeah , love season 1-4 and the whole sept blowing thing ( nvm after that cause consequences don't exist)
Bran is the lord of light.
You can´t really blame the characters for all the dumb thing they´re saying in this last season. It´s the writers fault. A character can only be as smart as it´s writer
Realistically and thematically speaking, Brienne should've been proud of being a virgin.
Cannot wait for your house of the dragon reactions.
"Get the fuck outta here, Bronn!" Careful, your New York is showing. 😂
after the long night they could have send arya to kings landing to do the job- end of story. no battle needed- no burning of kings landing needed. but that wouldnt be a gripping story. but actually the most logical thing. but logic went out of the window in season 8. they all acted out of character and forgot things...
this show was the most watched show in the world and the writers fucked it all up with seasons 7-8 and had zero idea what to do with the characters and relationships.
I believe Dani made gendry the lord of storms end to show her dominance also. Proving she was infact THE queen and had the power to do it. She started to disappoint me season 7 with that whole, bend the knee power thing. Not who I thought she would end up being after her build up
I always thought it was strange to legitimize Gendry... Making him Robert's legal heir gives him a claim to the throne, doesn't it?
Gee, I wonder whats TWO Riverruns... a newer house thats based on getting rich.... THE TWINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF TYRION!!!!! YOU CANT OFFER BRONN THE MOST FERTILE FOOD LANDS IN THE 7 KINGDOMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They triple tapped Raegal while moving but didnt hit Drogon with a single shot
WHY THE F WOULDNT CERSEI KILL TYRION HERSELF!!! She sent Bronn to do it with no problem
When the seasons over you should look at some of the many many yuotube videos breaking down why season 7 and 8 suck. Some real funny content there that explains it.
if you have not yet have you ever thought of watching Lost or once a upon a time? both are on Disney+
Brienne, Sam, n Jaime died multiple times in 803 yet weren’t on the pyres. 🤔
Disliked this episode for so many reasons. 😢
not sure if you know this but given your confusion with the bron side story his actor & cerseis (lena headey) dated & apparently it ended pretty bad where they can’t even be in the same room together; hence why it was qyburn that sent him to kill jaime & tyrion
jerome said that this was media bs
These last two episodes really made me go “huh?” But then parts of the last two episodes made me think “hmm alright.” But still unsatisfying.
STARBUCKS
Your biceps very distracting … in a good way 😅
Guys Rhaegal is still alive! A dragon can't be killed that way :)
Both of these statements can be true.
even without the bow they couldn’t have taken bron lol
IMO, I liked the ending, but it was rushed. I am sure you get to have your own opinion. I am enjoying your reactions!
Alright well.....Episode 5 and 6 are the only 2 episodes in the show i DO NOT like, it almost made it all the way! at least in terms of the characters lets be clear on that. and the visuals are great!
All of s8 and most of s7 was ass
1st 😂
Yes
I guess I'm last...(If you're not first....you're last)
your arms look amazing in this, next episode shirtless pls lol
And there were no Dany, John, Tyrion, etc to stop it
I’m believing Missande is telling Dany to burn Cersei alive. To kill innocent people who’ve done nothing to them cuz they’re angry at Cersei is crazy.
Missandeis death saddened me so much I just became numb to the rest of the season😂 I didn't even remember most of what happened
@@kevinwendellcrumb1802 Thank you, that's what I figured was the reason. I still think it should have been shown.
@@rogers.5153 Same. I understand why they skipped it, but I definitely wanted to see their reactions.
Dany has always listened to the men and it costed her a lot. Tyrion's plans all failed. They all screwed up Dany.
7:24 “fair” is a stretch considering women haven’t been put in charge historically. A little naive to think suddenly people would “vote” for one over a male option of the same family and entitlement on the ballot 😅
10:55 bruh how bout because she doesn’t **want** to do both?
This ep is so plot-stuffed and where I really lost any remaining faith in the writers to give us some sort of satisfactory ending 😢
More absolutely atrocious dialogue.
This episode sucked
Yeah. Danerys is losing it. Bronn is acting too aggressively. (Not him acting bad, but the writing is shit.) The Jamie and Brienne ridiculousness. The sidelining of the wolves.
Oh boi, this journey is almost over. 😢 I hope you'll be reacting to HOTD too!
People didnt have issues with the last episode because of the battle choreography or cinematics… the issue was in certain elements and inconsistencies in the writing
5:14 y legitimize the son of the last stable monarch of Westeros?
Rhaegal's death is so ridculous. I just hate this episode. Sansa is effing annoying.
Jeez Tyrion has some plot armor
