    I have had mine for a over a month now , and put on 475 miles so far. It is my 3rd Grizzly , coming from a 2003 660 , 2007 700EPS , to this 2016 with EPS.
    I love mine , and think Yamaha has tweaked the 700 to near perfection. It handles like a dream on the trail , and is more stable than previous models. The power is improved , and the new storage is a Major upgrade. I love mine , and cant complain about a single thing. 13 years riding Yamaha , and not one problem yet.

      THE POHLHAMMER The more I reflect on riding this ATV, the more I like it. I see why so many Grizzly owners are so happy with their Grizzlys. I have ask Yamaha for a demo to spend more time getting to know it!

      THE POHLHAMMER On the other video you mentioned Polaris' poor electrical system and Can-Am's week rear end. What did you mean?

    • @POHLHAMMER
      @POHLHAMMER 9 років тому +2

      +Ragemutt Polaris has a history of melting fuse blocks , and have shitty electrical connections. Yamaha uses Marine grade plugs on ALL electrical connections. Can Am has rear diffs that leak and break , only thier mxr diffs are any good. If you watch MechMike from Pines Can Am in Alaska (Ostacruisers mechanic) He talks about them being replaced on all thier machines..

    I just picked mine up. It looks great . I gave it a good once over from making sure bolts were tight and found that a couple had no washers on three CV boot gaurdsand they would have fallen off after the first dirty ride. . I`m thinking they were dealer set up. The most important problem I saw was the wiring at the handle bars were wearing already with 14 klms. om it. The sharp edged plastic panel was acually cutting the wire coating. That could potentualy cause a fire if wires were exposed.. I wire taped the edges of the plastic after I sanding it and put some more electrical tape on the wires. The wear is caused when turning the handle bars left and right. I`m so glad I caught that. I think I might just cut out the plastic to make a wider gap. This should be addresed and Yamaha contacted. Cheers.

    I just love ATV's and go out every weekend that i can. As far as review it was great but i love them all. When buying one see what type of ridding you are going to do and that will determine what bike will be better for you.My first atv ride was on a big bear 350 and that got me hooked. Going to sub. to see more great job.

    BTW , you only need to use the brake lever when shifting past N , you do not need to use it if you are shifting from H to L to N

    I hope they fixed the stalling issue with the new engine. New Yamaha's do look nice though.

    Sounds like they got to a new level with this year, but they still need more power. Put a 750 or 800 vtwin in that bear and I'd buy one yesterday.

    does the grizzly 2016 eps se have the front lock wheel? or its only the back wheel?

    • @atvescape
      @atvescape  8 років тому

      +integrags98 The Grizzly has a diff-lock for the front axle, so you can set it for 4wd and then set it for 4wd diff-lock.

    Wasn't it 2007 when Yamaha released the 700?

    • @joeellis2692
      @joeellis2692 2 роки тому

      Yes 2007 Yamaha came out with the 700 series 686cc. 2016-18 Yamaha out sourced they're 708cc motor to Subaru. They went back to the 686cc in 2019.

    How does this machine compare to a King Quad 750?

    • @atvescape
      @atvescape  8 років тому +2

      +Derek Beare I can't speak to that at this point. The King Quad obviously has more power, but I have not spent time on a King Quad yet. When I do, I will try to remember to post about it!

    • @derekbeare1880
      @derekbeare1880 8 років тому +2

      I work at a Suzuki dealer. We wish they would do major changes on the King Quad so it gives people a reason to tried in their older ones. 750 sales are very quiet. I do like how Yamaha is getting more aggressive with their offroad line up.

    • @curtisbull1583
      @curtisbull1583 8 років тому

      It don't have the power the king quad has! I like it alright but if I could do it all over again I would have bought another king quad.

    • @derekbeare1880
      @derekbeare1880 8 років тому

      +Curtis Bull How is the handling compared to the King Quad? The new grizz has more travel than the King Quad

    • @curtisbull1583
      @curtisbull1583 8 років тому

      That's a tough one, going fast love the grizzly handling, but going low I like the KQ better. The grizzly has a real problem pushing a little when turning, going slow through the woods and such I find myself doing a lot more 3 point turns then with my old KQ. Now the seat and ride of the grizzly is way smoother then the KQ, that's excellent.

    The center storage does not get Hot. It gets a little warm, but nothing will get damaged in there except you would not want to keep food in it.

      4 years old but way better choice you made. I have a 2002 yamaha grizzly 660 with 3000 miles and the only problem we have ever had with it was a flooded carb from keeping the gas on while it sat for 2 years. Runs like a champ now. I just ordered an exhaust tip for it. Cant wait for it to arrive!

    Love my grizzlies, but have plans they'll be repaced by grizzlies.

  • @cbull316
    @cbull316 9 років тому

    Don't be fooled people, while I do enjoy most of my new 16 grizzly EPS I will tell you its no power house. It has no grab down low, can't do wheelies even while standing on the back rack. The low rpm take off power is very unimpressive. Coming off of and still have a king quad 700 and 750. Wasn't expecting a 1000 kinda power but was definitely expecting more then what it has. And at slow speeds around the yard it likes to push the front end rather then turn. Thought it was just mine until 2 other new grizzly owners complained about the same problem.
    I'm a yamaha fan but got to be honest here, TEST DRIVE before you buy!

    • @atvescape
      @atvescape  9 років тому +1

      Curtis Bull Thanks for your comments. I am surpised you don't feel like it has low end power as I thought it had quite a bit. I absotuely think you should test drive before you buy!

    • @cbull316
      @cbull316 9 років тому

      Ya just don't see why the reviews such as this video keep saying power is really impressive. I just don't see it. Had I been able to test drive it before I bought it, I would have ended up with another king quad 750, much better take off power. Although I want to stress again how comfortable the seat is along with the ride. Probably not as smooth as a can am or polaris, but pretty close.

      I think your grizzly is defective or some one needs riding courses.. some people might not like Yamaha but no one can deny the ability of the grizzly.. a stock grizzly will wheelie by just punching the throttle and no tugging of the bars .. a grizzly with no low-end sounds like your clutch is messed up honestly

    • @cbull316
      @cbull316 8 років тому

      Just rode a new one at the dealer to verify and it feels the same way. No wheelie power even in low range. My buddy can wheelie it. He weighs over 200 lbs but has to work at it too.

    • @jasonpaige2264
      @jasonpaige2264 8 років тому +1

      +Curtis Bull Ya I call Bull-$hit... I have a 660 it will stand up no problem my cousin who has a 2015 700 will pop the front off the ground at half throttle.. and at 10%.more torque the new 2016 are wheelie machines.. I will admit I've never drove one but common sense will tell any one that the new ones wheelie... maybe your dealer isn't setting these things up right because no one needs to work to make a 700 class atv wheelie

      lrgman1313 The Sportsman without a doubt has more power, and more suspension travel for a more plush ride. I will say though the Grizzly is a nice ATV that is fun to ride. Thanks for the comments.

      lrgman1313 Thank you very much for the compliment. Yes, I have three Polaris reviews in the works. I have a RZR 900 EPS Trail, Sportsman XP 1000, and ACE 570 all in works right now.

    • @atvescape
      @atvescape  9 років тому +1

      lrgman1313 Thanks for the subscribe. It looks like you have a sharp decked-out Sportsman XP 850? That is the same color demo we had a couple of years ago, and it is a great machine. The 1000 has 11 more horsepower, and seems to "jump" a little harder than the 850 both from a stop, and more noticeably, when you are already moving. Both the 850 and 1000 have so much power.
