I'm so impressed. Not only was this the best Jay Cutler interview I've ever heard it's the best bodybuilding interview I've ever heard. Thank you Hany......huge fan.
I was in the crowd there at the Orleans that night, watching Jay make history. I was 16 years old at the time. I was also there that night in 2008 watching him fall to Dexter. Seeing Jay make a comeback always put a belief in my head as I've gotten older that the you can always make a come back in life, even when the chips are stacked against you.
My wife n I met Jay, he was so nice, looked both of us in the eye when he greeted us, true gentlemen n Legend of the sport 💪🙌 Hope Jay Jr will be born soon lol. Dad life best life
This is the Best ever Truth Podcast episode, which actually narrated the story of so many years. Such a special episode. Thank you @Hany Rambod for this.
My famioy could barely afford a tv those days but it was the golden era of bodybuilding with the humbleness both coleman and jay had towards each other and towards sport . What an era to be cherished about .
thanks guys. its good to air things out. you know maybe one day you guys get together play cards have laughs tell stories and do it live with cams. like a round table of body builders and trainers . i bet there is a lot of interesting stuff you guys can offer the up and coming young. im 62 and im still pumping weights. thx hany great show.
A great interview with two incredible persons.Your work and dedication gave so many people the strength to chase their pursuit of being better and stronger in their lives, mine too.Thank you for sharing lot of respect for you both.
Absolutely loved this interview. Jay is such a sincere and awesome person. I always love hearing him talk, and I learn something new about him every time.
Quad Stomp! One of the most iconic bodybuilding pictures/"pose" in history. So awesome listening to the backstory to this. This needs to turn into a documentary.
I am the biggest fan of Jay Cutler, whenever i feel bored from life, i watch jay cutler interview videos, i wish i can meet him personally in this life Hany Sir, salute to u Sir as well, u were behind Jay cutler preparation, its my request to u Sir, can u arrange any live session with Jay Sir where we can chat live with both of you Sir
Hany, your voice is so soothing!🙏 I've been bodybuilding for over 30 years & this interview is one of the best I've ever seen. The relationship dynamic between you & Jay is awe inspiring, kindest regards, Richard U.K
Wow! Starting watching this and couldn’t stop! Great job Hany! Jay is one of the greatest ambassador in bodybuilding of all time! And a great champion!!
This is the best interview I have ever seen. I really appreciate you posting it. Jay is so humble and honest. You both are. It was like going back in time for a couple hours and it was so captivating listening to you both go over the significant parts of jays career from each other’s perspectives. That was a time when I was heavily invested in the sport and it’s almost sad to think that it’s been 11 years now since jay was at the top of the game. I remember following his career very closely. From an outsiders perspective u could see he was surrounded by a very strong support network in the swollen monkey days and it was nice to here u confirm it. 2001 was a very complete jay but I was fine with Ronnie securing the title. Jay was lacking the wow factor for me. 2002 Arnold was the first time I saw that wow factor in jay. I always thought that was his best showing and was interesting to see jay say the same. I remember seeing photos from that show and thinking wow Wow. This guy will be mr Olympia one day. Maybe it was his colour or the colour of his posing trunks but whatever it was there was no denying the incredible density with separation kinda like he had been carved out. When jay beat Ronnie in 06 I was unsure of what to make of it. I wanted Ronnie to take the record and could see he wasn’t at his best. Jay was best he’d been in years, massive complete hard enough but for me the way factor wasn’t there. It was a tough one but jay deserved the win. But it wasn’t a dominate win and after the reign of the most dominate bodybuilder in history it was hard to see what jay would bring to the table. He had the deep abs and crazy width but that wow factor that surfaced in 2002 just wasn’t there for me. Then 07 happened (I was one of the few that had jay still winning, Vic was incredible jays width and overall completeness was still imposing when they were side by side). And then 08. It was like 07 was a warning and in 08 when we did not see a better than ever jay he left the door open. Dex was in the right place at the right time. It was easy to see why the bodybuilding community had lost faith in jay taking the title back. It was a very uncertain time dex didn’t have the kind of physique to go on a mr Olympia reign jay seemed to be declining and it seemed still too early for Kai and Phil. 09 was a very interesting year heading in. I will never forget seeing jay for the first time on the live stream. It was one of the most shocking appearances I have ever witnessed. To be honest I never thought I’d ever witness jay with that much pop to his physique that wow factor that had evaded jay since 2002 was greater than ever. I was truly shocked. To this day I honestly believe only 2003 Ronnie has eclipsed that appearance. No version of Phil would beat 09 jay. Yes Phil had the 3D muscle bellies and separation on a light structure but jay was complete head to toe and would just overpower him with his size and dominance if they were side by side. It was so fascinating hearing you both talk about that showing and the events leading up to it. I remember watching jays video during his 2010 and 2011 preps and thinking this is a man at the top of his game. He was the first bodybuilder who really showed us the lifestyle of a top level pro on film. When he was getting his massage work done I was shocked by the sheer mass on his chest and lats. Even though 2010 was a bit of a decline from 09 from an outsiders perspective it just seemed like a peaking issue for that show and jay still appeared to be a dominate force. His reign to me was well and truly alive and I didn’t see anyone beating him for some time. Then there were those bathroom shots heading into 2011 I believe and he looked 09 like. I thought it is over. It was truly sad when he walked out on stage and the lines were not there. All jays weaknesses like blocky waist were fully highlighted. A sinking feeling and for the first time for me an uncertainty again about his future. Phil killed it at prejudge but at the finals jay really fought hard and whilst he was no match I could see glimpses of his strengths in some poses and still and this really highlighted Phil’s weaknesses. I agree with jay, he was on that year heading into that mr Olympia and if not for the injury I do believe 100% in my heart he would have had a showing somewhat like 09 and it would have been good enough to take out phil. I really feel for jay in this regard. It would have been magical to see those two head to head with prime showings. I suspect jay would have won that battle. The Phil years flew by so fast and here we are. Jay, u deserve to have more titles than 4 but know that the true fans of the sport who were around during your time know this and know how incredible your showings were in 01 02 and 09. From 09 until your injury in 11 you were well and truly at the top of your game, your trade and it was a beautiful thing to witness. All the best to you both 👍
Sorry for my punctuation I was trying to type this quickly we all live busy lives. But I felt compelled to share. This interview evoked a lot of emotion in me

When you show so much respect and admiration for your adversary even after all these years, it just goes to show what a class act Jay is.
