I always thought of studying “for myself”. Well, it is but then I will always be like “f it imma die anyways what’s the point”. My family is the point. My number one thing that I always want to do is to take my dad to Egypt, he really loves the pyramids and that. But I always forget as stress always gets me and then I procrastinate. This video hit me hard. Studying is not only for my future, but it’s also for the people I love around me. Thank you Ruff for this video x

If I found a fit guy right now, I’d just feel guilty that someone so amazing is dating someone like me. @@exursix my theory is that if you think about what he is saying, the advice is pretty generic and logical, but the reason why it resonates with us so much is because people like us are constantly stimulated everyday, a thousand thoughts breach our brains every minute, whereas people like him are distant from the stimulation. he even says that he doesn't check the comments so that he dosen't feel validated
I remember being 17 years old and having the mindset the same this guy has. My only problem why I keep failing because I never took action. 21 years old now and I'm kinda blooming.
Just remember y'all that you can't be that kid who overthinks at the top of the slide anticipating what could happen. You gotta f*ck around and find out, otherwise you'll become too old to do it anymore and regrettably say, "I should've done this while I was young..."

I kinda relate to it. A few years ago, I used to be a very short-tempered person. There was this series I watched that focused on a mother discussing her good and bad qualities. It was emotional for me, but in the end, it inspired me to work on improving myself for my future kids so that I can be a good mother to them.
I re-watch your vids everyday for motivation and it works

I used to really like Ruff for the substantial content that he provides but bh watching this video I now have come to the understanding that even though a person may say many things that help one with many things but it doestnt mean that all that the person says has to resonate with you or be inherently good for yourself either. Even if I find this bideo beneficial or not, I still enjoy watching Ruff and have learnt a lot from him.

Idk why but I have this fear that if I attach important things like studying, future job, gym n stuff to people that I could lose those things easily. What if someone I am doing a particular thing for isn't in my life anymore or passes away (God forbid). Like idk it just makes me feel uneasy at times. But of course when I force myself to study I tell myself its because I want to make my mom happy and take her to go see the world. But this constant fear takes over that, "what if that day never comes? and I spend the rest of my life working towards something for someone who isn't here anymore?" idk if this makes any sense

It's hard to be motivated by the future wife idea if things haven't worked with girls before and the damage to your self esteem when things go bad makes it harder for people to be optimistic about a future family that they can make their responsibility and care for which is why people turn inward and adopt the stereotypical sigma mindset. This is when I think people need and actually should focus inwards to rebuild their self esteem to imagine a future where they can care for a loving family to strive for.
