Driving school can be done at 16? multilevel license from 16 to achieve a full one at 18? Correct me but I thought that was fairly similar across the board. Driving school where I live also offers good insurance and time cuts to achieve a full license.
Getting a job and working is not instant gratification, nor is it easy. You're lying to yourself, convincing yourself that not getting a job and working on UA-cam is somehow better than doing both.
Putting all your eggs into a self improvement channel at 16 is ludicrous, you haven't had enough life experience for anyone over your age to give a shit.
You've convinced yourself you're special, different than the rest, figured out the system before anyone else, and became a youtuber. Congrats you're achieving everyone's dream.
You talk about authenticity in another video, the "Hamza effect." I'm here to tell you you're in his cult. With his and many other influences you made the right changes and became better, "self improved" and are ready to become your own Hamza. He preaches that anyone could make it like him if they copied his topics, editing style, and messages.
You've not only taken them but improved on them somewhat, in 3 months you've gained 6.3 thousand subscribers, you'll surely gain many more.
Yet as someone who's watched my fair share of self improvement content, none of your messages are perfectly original, this kind of content is found in the thousands of already "Self Improvement" channels. Remix and add your own spice but it's still the same bottom line.
Consistency is key and you clearly have it, currently. When you've only hit 60k subs in 6 months, what then, it's not enough, in 12 you've hit 100, in 2 years you're at 300k.
That's not enough to sustain yourself, you might value your time at 100/hr, but who fucking cares if you don't have enough subs to dish it out to you.
Do you really think you're the only one with this mindset, that you've cracked the code and have better editing, more unique ideas, more energy and a more interesting personality than the thousands of other self improvement content creators?
I've watched them and there's plenty that do.
Why is your content so much better? What does a skinny masked up 16 year old straight A student with a loving family and some decent scriptwriting and remixed ideas have to offer?
That's YOUR image, the depth of your authenticity from a viewers viewpoint.
Why are you so much more relatable than someone like Hamza?
You're still a child, and think you know how the world works, someone who's ahead of it all, yet you're not relatable to anybody over 18.
What are you going to do if you don't make it? Because you're still one of Hamza's 1.7 million followers with the exact same mindset.
-An 18 year old realist who's on the same self improvement journey with a different perspective.

ok first, im doing exactly what every other kid is doing my age. im still going to school and everything im just balancing youtube on top of it. “putting all my eggs in one basket” would be me quitting everything to focus on youtube when in reality, im doing the same thing as every other person my age. im putting like half an egg into the basket.
the whole “you arent saying anything new”, like… u want me to invent a new colour or smth¿ theres nothing new; theres just different perspectives.
there are no new concepts unless scientists find some better way to increase productivity or sleep etc etc.
and this bullshit of “what if you’re not good enough” like i am an extremely privileged person who still has years to mess up and learn. if a 22 year old weed addict like hamza can make it big, me (who has like 6 years on him) can too. i have 6 extra years to fail. if im not good enough, ill get better lmao the times gonna pass anyway.
yeah i dont have a real job but neither do the people my age working at starbucks or smth thats not what they want. its a “real job” but its making them miserable and they adopt this slave mentality which is encouraged in school too. they make like at most 18/hr? and theyre not even happy doing it.
then they go home and play video games and jack off because 90% of people my age arent EVEN on self improvement
next, 100,000 subs is “not enough to sustain myself”? i live at home with my parents. why would i need that much money anyway? if 300,000 subs cant sustain myself, everyone else my age cant either. there is so much money in youtube, one viral video can increase the bottom rate by 100 or 1000 times. if u truly think people with 100,000 subs dont make an unreasonable amount of money then u literally know nothing about youtube.
im pretty sure hamza at 300,000 was making 10k a month. even if i make HALF of that, which 17 year old is making 5k a month? which 17 year old is making 60k a year? even if i make 1/3 or 1/4 of that i would still be fairly successful for my age.
either way; i have ZERO expenses so whatever i make is far is simply a bonus. it just gets saved.
and the whole “why is my content better”. it is simply a matter of preference. some people like Cole Hastings, some like Ali Abdul. thats the nature of competition. u appeal to ur certain audience. thats it.
im “more relatable” than hamza to CERTAIN people. some people find him more relatable, sone find me more relatable. thats all. and the whole “not relatable to anyone over 18”, i get enough comments from people from any age to disprove that.
yeah 1.8m of hamza’s subs have the same mindset but how many of them have the amount of time and the amount of drive to rly put in the work? not even the 1.8m subs, of every 16 year old in the entire world, how many of them do u rly think would delicate the time?
this comment isnt meant to come off as rude (except some points) but at the end of the day, im just like every other 16 year old. what happens if i dont make it? then im just like everyone else, still living at home with my parents with no rent to pay and still going to school like a normal kid. at that point maybe ill start a business or something else and try to succeed in that. im okay with failing at youtube because i dont see it as a failure at all. if the channel dies, i would be upset of course but i would be able to move on because i would have gladly done all this for free.
hope u understand (edit: you get the pin of shame because im not a nice person)

for years I let my family walk all over me...
even though I’ve always had the most ambition out of all of them; they just try to tell me how my life should be, and don’t seem to understand the bigger picture.
I’ve just accepted it at this point and become stronger because of it.
But for a long time I just ran and hid from all my problems and procrastinated years of potential, because I was afraid of how they would perceive me or treat me.
    *Biggest mistake of my life!*
I used to have the fighting spirit of a thousand warriors. Somewhere along the way I let myself and others shut it down so I stopped being that warrior for a long time 😔
Always stand up for yourself and don’t back down, even if it ur dad. You can’t let others intimidate you or make your dreams feel small.
Truth is they do that out of fear or because their dreams aren’t as big as yours or they don’t even have dreams of their own.
Don’t be afraid to choose your own path.
So now I’m working harder than ever to achieve what I’ve always wanted.

I’m a 22 year old woman. I was bullied by my peers when I was younger, and the worst cases for me were when I was teased and pressured by my best friends. I have always struggled to stick up for myself, mainly because I don’t fully realize in the moment how shitty someone is being and by the time it clicks, the moment has passed. I’ve always tried to improve and better myself and right now I’m focusing on how I interact with people. For the last few months, I’ve been having some bad anger issues and violent fantasies involving the people who have hurt me and I didn’t fight back. I’ve never acted on these feelings. I think I finally have enough respect for myself to know that I deserve better, but I don’t really know how to fight back since I’ve never really done it before. I always try to see the best in people and give people the benefit of the doubt, we’re all just flawed people after all, but this leads to me often overlooking when people are being shitty and letting them mistreat me. The last time I really stuck up for what I thought and believed about something, I lost my only 3 friends at the time. But I need to learn that that won’t always happen and when it does, they probably weren’t worth keeping around anyway. I get myself in this cycle of intense anger and disappointment in myself. I think the way to break the cycle is to fight back and stand up for myself. I think all this anger is buildup from when I was silent when people mistreated me or disrespected me. I think this realization came to me the other day when I was in lab (for school). A couple of small but harmless loud noises occurred that made me jump or whip my head to find the source. My lab partner and a couple other students told me that I was really anxious and kinda giggled about it. I giggled along too but then I thought more about it. Yeah, I know I’m anxious. I’ve had debilitating generalized anxiety disorder for nine years and it’s gotten worse in the last year because I got taken off of Lexapro due to my other health issues. That also adds to my fear of standing up for myself. But I need to change. Thank you for your video, it helped put some things in perspective for me.

I can back this up, the other day my sister started crap talking one of my friends acting like I couldn't pick up on what her and her friend were talking about and I stood up for myself by slightly raising my voice and stating that I'm aware of what they're talking about and that I'm not okay with that kind of toxic talk about someone I care about in my room. My sister has been mad at me for the past few days and hasn't said a single word to me. My sister is older than me and most younger sibling knows how it feels to be walked over by older siblings.

When I was 6-7 i would get bullied (verbally), and i wasn't good at verbally fighting back so i would just fight back physically cause that's what I could do and later I would kinda regret it and even now i think i looked like clown. Then 8-10 i was bullied physically just because I -was- am better than the bullies, here i had learnt to fight back both verbally and physically depending on what the other's doing just so it's a bit fair.
And now 11-12 i didn't rly get bullied much but when i did it was again bc I'm better (academically and kind too ig)✌️
But recently those old bullies be getting back at me physically, like id be standing there and someone would pull my hair and run away i would think of chasing back but I'd stop, then once i found my self hit by ball (intentionally) while riding my bike but i understood that this time the bully was overly self conscious of himself and thought of it as playfight, i had another kid with me who was getting kid so i almost hit the bully with my bike but took pity on him.
Then later the bully decided to come for my sister and my sister fought back, and i helped my sister bc she's my sister and i wouldn't wanna be enslaved when i got back home, but that made me ask if i should've fought back in the start

I go in a small little bus with a few kids (ranging 6-11). Today one boy started teasing a girl over something trivial. She started teasing him back, thinking they were both just having fun. That boy just hit her outta no where then. I do have a soft spot for that boy, he’s sweet, but he has major anger issues. Still, I reported him to the parents of our bus. That girl asked me why I reported him over something ‘small’, I told her that we should have boundaries and we should respect ourselves, if someone crosses the line then they should get a warning, or stuff will get worse. Whether it be that boy’s mindset or the situation around him. Then just now I saw this video and it made me even more confident about what I did. Oml sorry for the long paragraph jeez

lets start by addresing the whole UA-cam thing. The problem with platforms like UA-cam is that most people with up to 2 mil viewers can't keep up to the number of views they have now.
This is happended to countless big youtubers from back when i was younger. They still can make enough money for some time but for how long is the question.
Don't misunderstand me its good that u keep on your YT grind and do something u enjoy but having job expierences were you're forced to work with different people is extremly important too.
And fighting against your parents isn't the same as fighting back against bullies because in comparison to these bullies they have the best for you in mind. Of cause they aren't perfect and you always should question the the things they say but not only frome your perspective but also try to understand why they are doing what they did there. In this example it's probably because they think its not a job with long time security which its really not. In additon the experiences you get from having to work with others and also learnig how to propperly question athority within your workplace is worth so much more than the 18/hr. You can build on that knowledge later in life. Trust me it's so much worth.
As someone who got bullied quiet a lot i also know how important it is to be able to fight back but ive also learned to know when to suck it up. You dont have to take any shit from people that are on your level in restospect of experiens, the hierarchy and/ or age. (May also variate on the setting you find yourself in) but if a superior (or a parent) is telling you something, you need know how to give them what they want without loosing credibility by doing that. To properly respond to stuff like that you need to have experiences with conventional jobs.
You might think that to be able to escape the hive mine mentallity you need to be your own boss and then you dont need to listen to supervisors would be ignorant. Being indepentend often goes along with an 80 hour week and this lifestyle isn't fullfilling in any way for most people. But you can get a very well paying job with a 60 hour week where you have to listen to some boss. even if youre independent you sometimes need to listen to the commands of your customers.
And to finish my comment i want to go back to the point were u said that you are aware that you make mistakes. If you are also try to take advice from those with more life experience. these advices often come from their own mistakes and they are telling you these so you dont have to make those same mistakes.
Learnig from your mistakes are good but being able to learn from the mistakes of others is even better.

    • @ItsMeRuff
      @ItsMeRuff  Рік тому +21

that comes down to ur self worth. for me i hv a massive ego so i think im super important (probably too much)
      confidence comes from progress
for example if someone asked me about youtube i would be confident because doing youtube is my life. but if someone asked me about astrophysics i wouldnt be confident.
so u have to get good at something to become confident. when u achieve things and make progress u will inevitably feel more confident because uve put in the work.
ur brain gives u the confidence that it thinks you deserve.
so what have u been doing recently for the past few months? do u deserve to be confident by ur actions?
      dont focus on being confident.
      focus on achieving things.
if ur below like 20 years old i dont believe u should focus on confidence because u simply havent had enough time to do anything to deserve it yet. but u can start now.
hope this helps, i can answer any questions u have. good luck

Something that I've learned is that the best way to stand up for myself is to stay quiet in silence while they spend their time saying what they shouldn't or trying to make my mind up to their ideas. Don't get me wrong, is always good to hear feedback on how we can improve ourselves and what we can do or look with other eyes, but there are times that we must protect ourselves in the best way, which means, the way that works for each one of us.

It worked so well in highschool for me. It diffused the situation all the time, and made the person trying to provoke me ackward and look wierd.
If you are emotionally reacting to someones bullshit, then they are living in your head rent free. You are giving them what they want.
Your ego is only under attack if you think its under attack. No point to get reactive to someone who isnt worth your time. Granted i still also believe there is a time and place to speak your mind or stand up for yourself. I think though, alot of the time its not worth it to give such a person your time.

I approve of this but dont let "anger" be the fuel of your bright consciousness. Think of positive things like you do, but I've noticed that when you do that, the core of those of positive things usually tends to come from a negative corner/interaction in your life. I understand you're comparing them to grow from that but hear that term out. "Grow from that", meaning that the negativity is being used as a seed, and what comes from that angry seed more often or not is no good.
I did learn something and that's: He who tolerates everything, stands for nothing.
The ending is exactly what I'm talking about. Sooner or later youre going to be the bully, the instigator, the oppressor because "you take no shit" from anyone. Respect your parents even if they are wrong, Im pretty sure they want something good for you, listen to them and talk about kindness, positivity and growth, instead of how to fight back a bully. You listened and talked more about inconveniences and issues with other people rather than improving yourself. In a way youre improving but only to "fight" them back. You're accommodating yourself in their ranks. Your mind is getting filled with dumb trash that will not matter later in your life when you have control of every aspect in it.
What's happening to you now is minor inconveniences that are shaping you, youre smart, dont let your environment right now shape you in a negative way.
I know I never listened to my parents but I never disrespected them in any way shape or form. I once stood infront of my mom and received 7 slaps that came all the way from hong kong and changed my nationality. That's how hard she hit me consecutively. What I did was the following: Do you feel better mom? She said no. I said I love you, and iam sorry, but im still going out to skateboard. Yes, the reason was because I wanted to go skateboarding. She dropped to the floor crying as I left. Then when I came back, she was upset but not angry, no words no nothing, just a: what do you want for dinner tonight son? -This is just a small example that may or may not teach some one a different perspective on how I dealt with a family that I never approved anything with.
My mind was set on a far bigger perspective, and that was to skate. I knew that if I would have fought back and had a huge discussion with my mother, I wouldnt be able to go out in PEACE, and she wouldnt be able to sit down in PEACE afterwards. Sometimes we just dont have to reply/react to wild karens out there at all.
Keep it bro, just dont be toxic. Review your videos every now and then so you dont deviate into nonsense.
