Completely agreed. If we know our limits, we can better plan our way to our goals. Personally what works for me is waking up at 5am, doing 2 60 min blocks of deep work, then taking an hour rest for chores and stuff.

In regards to working as a lion, it’s important to understand the difference between recovery and relaxation. If you want to maximize productivity, aim to recovering the body, like going outside and meditating, instead of relaxing, like binge watching shows and eating chips.

Studies show that burnouts don´t have to do anything with the amount of work you do. It´s rather about the mindset

Ruff I really like the way you look at burnout you knowing were your limit is allows you to he=it the limit every day and it reminds me of a saying people have with an adiction and its now matter how far your drive the ditch is still the same distance since it shows you know your limit were to stop and that leads to so much more from life

  • @vaggelis_s

That's a great mindset! Thank you Ruff!

I completely forgot about the concept of batching tbh. I’ve mostly been waking up early to edit shorts every morning and recording in the afternoon for the next morning. I think I’ll try this.

Working just around our limit not beyond that, is the most optimal. I love it

Yup this is also referred to as limit testing and it's done in all aspects of life. You create a baseline of what you can accomplish. Ruff always dropping gems! 💎

Deep work would truly make progress rather than shallow work. But I think there is purpose with shallow work, and it is to build up habit of showing up at least. Sure, the intensity at first is shallow, but now we can build it up through determining the burnout point and work slightly below it and overtime longer and stronger intensity of work is achieved. Loved the video, a must watch.

I agree, I tried doing that by going to the library and studying for about 3 to 4 hours, once I get home I try to study again but I feel burnout so I found out that my maximum time for studying and focusing very well with zero distractions nor much rest is 3 to 4 hours.
