- In this video I explain how to get the heater blower motor out of a 2011 TDCI Defender. The manual only covers LHD which is useless for RHD. If you want, you could remove the entire inner and outer wing, but do you really want to do that?? I also go into removal of the interior heater unit. I don’t own a Landrover, but it’s good to see you trying to maintain a vehicle you obviously cherish. While watching this video I’m thinking this is the part of the vehicle that was designed to rot the rest of the vehicle in order to sell the owner a new one!
After discovering my 2007 Puma had one of these and not the usual heater matrix I found this video. Brilliant, it has made me realise that the problem I have is not the heater blower and thus saved me the time of stripping it out, very handy link to more videos too. Thanks Nigel.

Saved me a lot of time too!! *****By the way a Toyota Camry 1995 fan is identical!!**** $40 from the wreckers. very slight grind on the heaterbox housing and rewired the plug.

Fascinating. Illustrates the problem of a very long-running design and trying to fit modern "accessories" into a structure never designed for them. The LHD manual is logical, far more left-hookers were being built by then, just a pita for those with proper Landys.
I actually think this is probably the worst manual I have ever seen. It is full of, "Remove four nuts and pull unit free", forgetting to mention hoses, wiring, clips and cables that all need to come off first. For example, on the front wings it tells you to remove the plastic inner wing before you remove the outer, then at the last point in the process it tells you to remove the four bolts holding the top of the inner wing in place...???

not sure.. search google. Having said that, the 2.4 manual is awful, so I expect the 2.2 will be just as bad?
