My favourite was the Australian Army Landrover Perentie, Australian engineered and manufactured 6 WD long wheel base reconnaissance vehicle.
I'm amazed the Perentie is not featured here.
It's well known and regarded world-wide.

I worked on that fire truck when I was a mechanic at Marshalls in Cambridge.
That's amazing, it's such an interesting car and piece of history. We are very honoured to have been one of it's owners. What was it like to work on?

The longnose is for me
I was involved in the marketing of the Townley Cross Country 6x6 Land Rover to the Jordanian Armed Forces, it was shipped by truck and then presented to the JAF. I left Jordan and moved to Bahrain, one day it turned up!! The vehicle was designed to be the cheapest option for TOW missile, as the missile system and batteries could be accommodated on the vehicle as opposed to the options, which were two Jeeps or a Half Track, the LR was cheaper too.
Did Landrover body designers come from a refrigerator company...

I was in the RAF when they first introduced the Carmichael conversion 6x4 in the 70s ,within a couple of months they were put under restrictions because if the went round a corner to fast they fell over, due to the light water tank being set to high, the one at Machrihanish had to go back for modification so we ended up using the old Landrover fire truck till it came back.
Thanks for sharing this awesome story, it's always amazing to hear stories from people that were actually around these amazing vehicles!

In 1996 I saw a bright yellow 'Cuthbertson' at a garage in the Scots Highlands.
It had something to do with 'forest management'.

Land rover perenti. Used soloey by the Australian defence forces. There were 4x4 6x4 and 6x6 in different specifications and utikity uses, but some only had 1, may be 2 of them made, like a 1 off forward command radio vehicle, 6x6 with light armour and another with a small canon designed as a recon vehicle.
... and they had a great 3.9 Isuzu truck Diesel engine
I don't believe there was any 6x4 versions.
Those 1's and 2's were still based on the standard chassis' though, just different equipment bolted too them.
Except the Long Range Recon version.
#21 The Cuthburtson was used by contractors working fot the MOD cleating unexploded ordenance at old live firing ranges on the Essex coasti like Shoeberryness..
On the other hand, it could mean the largest number of unique Land Rovers in one video or gathered together. “Ever” also includes the future, of course. At least it doesn’t say “Land Rover’s”! It’s a shame that all this jolly banter has caused me to forget to watch.
That cricket ball gear shift know hast to be the best but as a hearse why not they have converted many vehicles into hearses including a sidecar on a motorcycle
Not wishing to get into the semantics of unique or uniqueness but I consider that the Ag-Rover meets both by a mile.
Forestry Commission had some 2A/air portables that used 28" rims/tyres from a Grey Ferguson. Loads of ground clearance, but poor cornering(!)

They actually made two Bel Aurens Longnose prototypes; they were based on late-60s Seies 2as, but were built in 2008. As others have said , "unique" is a superlative. I also think you meant "mortal coil" instead of "mortal earth".

Haha, yes they are rather cool. We have actually mentioned them in a previous video, but there are so many unique Land Rovers, we might have to make several parts to speak about them all.

Half the landrover fire tenders are Rangerovers.
You forgot the Landy that could cross a ravine over two streched wires.

It had four disks, like sheves in a pulley, with a grove in them, one on each wheel, slung below the Landy was a long pendulum with a weight on so that the centre of gravity was verry low. One of the mad idears thought up for the Army.
You could fit a 6-71 Detroit Diesel in that.😮

A tank is an armoured fighting vehicle. A car fitted with tracks but no armour or weapon is not a tank.

This video keeps confusing Land Rover and Range Rover. Two different vehicles.
Kind of like confusing a Jeep with an AMC Eagle.
Was the white Pope-mobile a Land Rover?
From our research there have been a few different Pope-Mobile's that have been Land Rovers. There appears to be a Defender 90, a Land Rover Santana and also a couple of Range Rovers, of which were two of the first Pope-Mobiles to have bulletproof glass.

The title of this video is illogical. There are no degrees of uniqueness . Something is either unique (meaning one of) or it isn't. You cannot have 'most unique'.
Yeah, it’s a bit like something being ‘new and improved’.
Unique has multiple definitions in the Oxford dictionary, one of which is “particularly remarkable, special, or unusual.”
That definition could certainly have degrees
Can be unique to as in the land rover perenti is unique to the Australian army. As in no other defence force is the world uses the perenti.

I have a Solihull-built '127' that was built three years before the factory officially built 127s, but I know that it is not unique.
The last one looks like a baby from a Range Rover and a Renault 5…. Not sure what to make of that…

Unique is a very specific word, from the Latin, literally meaning 'one only'. It takes no modification and any attempt to do so will be grammatically incorrect.

Can the Cuthbertson variant² be "unique", if the rubber tank-track modification was available as a factory option?
The slightly awkward narration bot wasn't given access to production or sales numbers¹ for this vid.
If even half a dozen were made, then it's not as rare as others in this list, much less unique.
(¹ I've checked the linked vid about 7 interesting L.R.s, including the *Cuthbertson variant².* No production numbers there either.)
(² Quite a mouthful - so how about we use the contraction, *Cu'nt* ? 🤓)
I like all of them mainly for their uniqueness which proves you don't need to be a hob nob to own one.
The long nose Land Rover had more examples built, one had a Jaguar V12.

When I saw you mention Glenfrome was excited, I have a Glenfrome Portway 6 door, plus I also have a Scottorn Range Rover 6x6 no 3.
You cannot have "the most unique...." anything! Unique is an absolute; it is either unique or it's not - just like pregnancy, you've got one in the oven or you haven't. Little wonder our children do not know the English language.

You can buy those tracks and fit them yourself. I've seen them on minis! Search "mini cooper on tank tracks" for the image.
