How utterly powerful Arthur was when he was healthy. Just playing as him, you can walk on in to Saint Denis with some tonics, and the only thing stopping you from killing the entire city is how much ammo you can hold.

2:23 these 2 scenes back to back with Arthur’s joke and the Milton being serious are some of the best writing/acting in the entire game. I can just repeat it over and over.
at first "players choice" in this game looks like it changes nothing. But when you look on the whole picture you understand that depending on "good vs evil" scale (meter), it actually tells different stories. these scales create context and character growth (which is not happening in witcher 3, geralt does not grow). if you lean to light this game tells how a good man wrestles giant and sacrifices himself for others. from grey to light. it is story about conflict and change. if it is the giant who has won. it's story how man dives into darkness. but the last remains of light guides to good deeds befor his last breath. even last choice "go for gold/help Marston" depending on scales creates different interpretations. That's pretty good storytelling implemented in gameplay and "player's choice".
Geralt is a done and wrapped up character with a defined story, you can't choose who he is and the way they managed to give players a choice even though it's a book series is amazing
for sure, unlike things such as telltale games where 80 percent of your choices lead to the same place anyways. With this game its like you are literally helping to write the story through your actions

Yeah I remember somewhere in chapter 3 or the end of chapter 2 arthur says something about not wanting to do it. I think it might have been a conversation with Strauss

What i love about arthur is that hes an absolute badass outlaw but he didnt die in any honorable fashion like most other main characters, he died how most people died in the west.. disease. It shows how despite him being this badass cowboy outlaw, hes still mortal, and when he talks to the nun it shows how he may not be scared of death, hes scared of what could come next
Normally characters like him would have been shown to us already dead. You know the cliche; "An amazing old guy died and protagonist follows his footsteps" shit. But in RDR2 we are playing that "amazing old guy". That's why this game is special to me.
Arthur and RDR1 John are some of my favorite fiction characters period. It’s crazy how they followed up an iconic character with an equally iconic one in the next game. Even if rdr never gets another prequel or sequel, the series gave us two absolute classics

@@zikkimeister215 that doesn't mean I can't wish he'd have a better life :v
"You better sleep with your eyes open" "Yeah well your gonna sleep woth your chest open if your not careful boah" = probably the best response ever uttered
ten minutes isn't enough to describe just how legendary of a sigma male Arthur is.
"Sigma male of the wild west" is definitely a cool title that Arthur deserves in full.
Actually i don't like it, since "sigma male" is a 21th century meme term. Arthur is a serious man and away from all of this soggy bullshit humor.
"Oh I didn't know I was talking to a L A D Y" had me dead af
"I'm-" "Leaving" *Strauss takes walk of shame*
This ol' cowbow is a sad cowboy 😔😢
he's so sad that he decided to kill half of America's population
I like how bill stood up like he was gonna do something til Arthur raised his voice to Micah at 8:55
I think Bill knows well enough not to fuck around with Arthur, even if the mans running on fumes
“Oh hell, Micah just stepped in it”
@@ctrlaltrepeat245
Fr, there's a reason why Arthur is one of the founding members of the gang and is designated as the 'enforcer' of the group
I love how you can play as the most honored Morgan but you’ll still be threatening when pissed off
It doesnt matter how many time you play through this game.. it will never fail to hit you in your feels.
10:12 is by far the best line in the game
3:15 imo is the best line
“If I wasn't waiting on this lady, you'd be dead already "🙂
“Can’t even kill a dying man!” Favourite Line.
2:23 these 2 scenes back to back with Arthur’s joke and the Milton being serious are some of the best writing/acting in the entire game. I can just repeat it over and over.
9:50 right next to Arthur’s head there is a guard waiting to attack (secret)
Mature
You are right. You just gave me goosebumps
Wait I didn't see him lmao
Sadie?
at first "players choice" in this game looks like it changes nothing.
That's pretty good storytelling implemented in gameplay and "player's choice".
yeah. thr genius was they knew they could technically have the exact same ending but change the context.
The witcher 3 comparison is invalide geralt is already almost 100 years old in the search of his daughter also he's a monster hunter and killer
Geralt is a done and wrapped up character with a defined story, you can't choose who he is and the way they managed to give players a choice even though it's a book series is amazing
Geralt has a strong moral fabric. He doesn't choose between bad and evil.
for sure, unlike things such as telltale games where 80 percent of your choices lead to the same place anyways. With this game its like you are literally helping to write the story through your actions
When Arthur says “Is it your street?” Is the definition of someone having the time to fuck around that day 😂
Just finished my 2nd playthrough and I really took my time, didn't rush nothing even for a sec. I instantly want to start a new playthrough again because this game is so magical, I don't even have words for that.
I just finished it for the 2nd time too a couple hours ago, I also want to start again, but do everything it can be done, even crafting the other bags...
Should have added the shot of Arthur on the oil tanker with the train headlights in the background. That’s the moment I knew Arthur was different.
I love Arthur as much as the next guy, but beating the shit out of Downes was one of his lowest points. We know why he did it and of course he was intimidating, but he himself was ashamed of it. So I don't think this is one of his 'sigma'-moments at all.
Yeah I remember somewhere in chapter 3 or the end of chapter 2 arthur says something about not wanting to do it. I think it might have been a conversation with Strauss
Arthur didn't know he was sick besides Strauss told him to beat him
@@trevorphilips9065 even before he knew he was sick, he hated doing it (you can read about it in his journal for example). And he realized at some point, that he got TB from Downes.
@@DillxCorleone Yep he did some people seem to not know Arthur has a conscious and writes his inner thoughts in his journal
He honestly didn't really give two shits about the man he only felt bad about the wife and childs situation afterwards, pay what you owe. Don't be a tramp.
2:56 also just a prime example of Arthurs absolute insane strength. the guy is a brick shit house.
2:44 “Grow up” COLD AF 🥶🥶🥶
Love this video. Was sad it got taken down. If you can get the Dutch one back up as well, that'd be dope!
Sadly, i didn't save it :/ Im Sorry
@@sergeantvigil5132 damn. At least you got John and Arthur lol
@@KokoBananaMan Yes:)
@@sergeantvigil5132 yea I was wondering where it went why did it get taken down :(
just found these again and was also hoping for the dutch van der linde being the biggest menace in the wild west for 14 minutes one
"take your best shot" Arthur , "Grow up"
4:40 Arthur sounded like Tommy Shelby, calm and intimidating at the same time.
This was so damn well put together for the most iconic, most loved main character in video game history!!! Thanks man!!! Arthur would be proud
Thank u for re-enlightening me of the journey i took through out that game those were some real moments.
Arthur Morgan was really too badass for this world
Normally characters like him would have been shown to us already dead. You know the cliche; "An amazing old guy died and protagonist follows his footsteps" shit. But in RDR2 we are playing that "amazing old guy". That's why this game is special to me.
@@serhafiye7046
And the way he falls from that badass grace but gains characterization. That's impactful as hell.
@serhafiye7046 that has got to be one of the best things i have ever heard anyone say about this game beatifuly said
Arthur Morgan is ten times a better character than Kratos could ever dream to be, and he's in one game versus like eight.
8:56
I like how Bill was getting interested with the heat until Arthur raised his voice, he knows clearly what Arthur is capable of.
I think Arthur would single handedly kill someone who unironically uses the word "sigma" just for the fun and satisfaction of it.
0:58 that moment...
Damn...
Arthur and RDR1 John are some of my favorite fiction characters period. It’s crazy how they followed up an iconic character with an equally iconic one in the next game. Even if rdr never gets another prequel or sequel, the series gave us two absolute classics
I uploaded the John Sigma male video too!!! Credit to the owner!!!
What happen to the other?
Respect for crediting the owner
do you have the uncle and dutch one? because i know they did make one for uncle and dutch. they might have made one for Micah too, but I can't remember
@@thexylophone Sadly, i didnt saved it. So sorry!
Whos the original uploader?
Arthur Morgan is without a doubt the greatest character Rockstar has created so far… quite possibly the greatest character in gaming history.
John learned a lot with Arthur but we also learned as well and now we carry what we learned with this incredible man
"Five thousand dollars....For me?! Can I turn myself in?" Gets me everytime 😂
Athur was full of rage we can hear it in the "god damn you"
One of my favorite scenes is when he tells Sean “grow up” after shooting the bottle effortlessly. It made me actually laugh.
The ultimate show down and deterioration between Arthur and Dutch when air hit sprung John free without ditches order becuase it was the right thing to do. Ultimate “ I’m no one’s fucking lap dog and I do what I will!” Moment. 🥶🥶🥶🔥🔥🔥
Catching that little thieving bastard in St Denis before he reaches his friends is one of the most satisfying moments in the game.
4:40 the most sigma moment
He threatens a child
@@saulgoodman2071 no, he sternly reminds a young man, that he has no business talking to a grown man he doesn’t know, the way he did.
@@saulgoodman2071he also beats a kid in a later mission and in the lore outside of gameplay he kills many, also you could say he causes the deaths of many kids without actively killing them
GET THE HELL OUTTA HERE AND BE A GOD DAMN MAN that line is my all time favorite he’s said
"I didn't know I was taklin' to a *lahdey*" such a great delivery
7:37 I never knew this entire mission of getting rid of Strauss was optional. I decided to not even do the money lending missions after Thomas and I didn't even notice until after the ending, cause no one even acknowledged Strauss.
He is acknoledged anyway. John Marston discovers that he died in prison.
The "I will remember your name. I've got a good memory." is such an amazing subtle threat. I love it.
Arthur morgan beating a deathly ill man to death
“Yeah thats sigma activity”
"5,000 dollars, for me? ... Can I turn myself in?" 😭😭🤣🤣
“Criminal who commits genocide every time a plan goes wrong and is kind of a nice guy otherwise sigma”
If this was a movie Roger Clarke would be sleeping next to an Oscar, and he probably wouldn't be the only one.
This game is the The Wire of Gaming, it's a bit sad when it's done coz I find it hard to imagine anyone producing something as special again in terms of story.
when Arthur said , " I know " to John saying , you are my brother . it hits .
I remember being disappointed that we werent gonna be playing as John in the prequel but my god was I wrong. I ended up being disappointed to play as John in the epilogue and all I wanted was to play as Arthur again lmao.
Authur has both good and bad in him. Sometimes its hard to tell which will come out. even when you are playing him.
Arthur is just awesome. He was written beautifully and it's a shame that we aren't gonna get more of Red Dead any time soon.
I love his sudden "grow up" to Sean after he got cocky about his shooting skills! Lmao, like an annoyed father going "lemme show ya how it's done sonny"
