Who would have thought that serene pose has become the staple for LS game play. Nice vid and thank you so much for showing the ropes on how to counter certain attacks from diff monsters!
Who would've guessed that a command counter that can follow up one of several other counters would be meta in a post-game where many of the biggest attacks from monsters are two-hitters.
I think it has a lot to do with how you look at switch skills. There are some switch skills out there that seem very one dimensional, but when you dissect and analyze them, the worst switch skills excel in very specific environments (which makes them less desirable). Mikarai definitely does a lot of work to set up staggers, spacing, angling, part breaks, timing, stage positioning, etc. to not only determine what switch skills to feature in a video but how to choreograph them in a way that makes the skills shine and the results sparkle.
This is so important because those double attacks are so disgusting and disrespectful, that countering them is precisely what needs to be done. Thank you

The only problem i have with ls in this game is that the wirebug counter hitbox isn't the actual slash. It would be SOOOOOO much more satisfying if it was.
trying to get into this game but monster hunter's combat always felt slow to me, is it faster in this new release or is about the same? as say, something like iceborne?
rise is at least twice as fast compared to iceborne. just go with dual blades and u should have easy time after unlocking some of the moves bit deeper in game Demon flight(best no cost attack move in game) + Shrouded vault(best defensive counter in game) + tower vault(air move) gameplay with DBs is very fast paced where u slip between attacks with good /counter use also invest into evade extender lv2-3 that makes veryyyy big difference in gameplay with any weapon. IG would be 2nd fastest with air style (you can watch speedruns for that.) but gameplay is kinda simple and boring in a way
@@scumxix np, learn how to use wirebug recovery move when u will get hit and farm max potions as soon as you can and u will be able to recover from mistakes super fast compared to other monster hunter games :P this release of the game have heavy focus on countering/super armoring? the attacks so the sooner u will learn how to do it the sooner u will dominate the game, MH is still very hard tho if u are new and u dont know the rules of the game so dont get annoyed/sad too fast^^ if u will feel like u are getting stuck on some monster just stop attacking and try to understand how u should dodge/counter monster attacks first have fun
Adapt, Improvise, Overcome I mean, anyway if you analyze the monster, most of them after their double attacks have a huge opening so it's even better if they don't flinch (you can see for exemple in the Afflicted Narga or the Valstrax clips of this video)
