I've never realized till now (probably cause I suck too much to actually get him to that point), but what he does at 4:22 is his eating animation. after killing the rhenoplos, instead of eating it directly, he sends the flying giggi things to suck the blood and bring it back, wich then lets him power up. it's a neat detail that his eating animation is done in acordance to his lore

Also even if you Interrupt his animation the bats continue eating and come back later so once he sends them out he's guaranteed the food
it's the least they could do with such a dramatic design that doesn't fit the world

clean kill, i was struggling using the new switch skill but you made it look really strong!
Being able to parry through attacks for the Great Sword has to be one of the coolest things they added to the weapon.
Entirely redefines GS playstyle. For good or bad? We'll see.

Is it just me or did they update the sound effects too? The counter clang and the tcs sounds much more satisfying.
yeah even with long sword, it's subtle but they changed the sword swinging sounds

@@SnakeTheBoss13 the performance also seems better than base game, tried on steam deck and switch (portable mode)
For Switch it's just a "feeling" but for steam deck the improvements are real.

Seems more and more like 3 wirebugs is a must for sunbreak if you want to do the counter playstyle, seems to be the case too for the new swax counter
Welcome to the life of non-aerial dual blades that have barely functioned without 3 wirebugs for the entirety of Rise.
As a lance, I have zero idea what to even do with my second wirebug.

Dang, greatsword looks sick in Sunbreak! I’m a hammer main, but I think I’m gonna have to pick up greatsword once the expansion comes out. Because watching this gameplay was awesome! Nothing but an onslaught of true charge slash destruction. 😈

Man, even if this is an amazing showcase of GS mastery, it's still painful seeing a GS guard and punish thru attacks better than a lance.
Yeah, this is cool, I just wish it was Lance or Gunlance that had this kind of gameplay and not GS.

I've been hearing from Lance mains that they like the sunbreak demo's lance. They buffed instablock to deal insane levels of damage
@@lilsmolcrow yeah, but it's just a back hop that sheathes your weapon, nothing great.
Tho, they did "buff" anchor rage (guard doesn't reduce the effects) and the insta block (amongst others things) so it's looking pretty good for the lance anyway :P

Classic tds speedrun, maximized strat and great read of monster movement
Dont quite get why it sometimes is a true charged slash after the parry and sometime not. DO you have to charge the attack more by holding down the button after a successfull parry for the true charged slash? Also will it become a Rage slash if i equip the rage slash instead or does it always follow up with a true charged slash?
It only becomes tcs after the parry if you initiated the parry by canceling a charged slash. Initiating from neutral leads to a regular draw slash. And yes it would be rage slash if that's what you had equipped at the time.
parry normally -> charge1 OR new slashing combo; parry during charge -> true charged slash or rage slash.
Seems to depend on whether or not you go into it from charging or just doing it outright. Like the normal charged slash happened when he did the silkbind without starting a charge yet. I'm about to check it out to be sure. And yes it depends on which switch skill you're using. SO either true charged slash or rage slash.
basically just press LT mid charge.
How do I use the counter while holding down my charge?
Dont get your hopes up with GS after watching this. In reality there is only pain and frustration 🤣🤣. Amazing GS run!

If they were just spamming slicing ammo with LBG then I’d agree thats cheesy. But the level of skill to pull of those “cheese” strats is off the walls.
Can someone please tell me how he counters during charges? I seem to only be able to counter after the attack goes off. Am I just dumb?
While charging, press ZL, if you get hit, goes straight to TCS
