I've never realized till now (probably cause I suck too much to actually get him to that point), but what he does at 4:22 is his eating animation. after killing the rhenoplos, instead of eating it directly, he sends the flying giggi things to suck the blood and bring it back, wich then lets him power up. it's a neat detail that his eating animation is done in acordance to his lore
same thing when I saw the palico bring out the kittenator right as the monster was changing area... this run would have been even more epic if those 2 thing didnt miss

Tho, they did "buff" anchor rage (guard doesn't reduce the effects) and the insta block (amongst others things) so it's looking pretty good for the lance anyway :P

Dont quite get why it sometimes is a true charged slash after the parry and sometime not. DO you have to charge the attack more by holding down the button after a successfull parry for the true charged slash? Also will it become a Rage slash if i equip the rage slash instead or does it always follow up with a true charged slash?
It only becomes tcs after the parry if you initiated the parry by canceling a charged slash. Initiating from neutral leads to a regular draw slash. And yes it would be rage slash if that's what you had equipped at the time.
Seems to depend on whether or not you go into it from charging or just doing it outright. Like the normal charged slash happened when he did the silkbind without starting a charge yet. I'm about to check it out to be sure. And yes it depends on which switch skill you're using. SO either true charged slash or rage slash.
A part of me died when that palamute made you whiff that true charge slash by breaking Malzeno’s other arm. If I were trying to speedrun a quest I would have abandoned the quest right then and there.

Also even if you Interrupt his animation the bats continue eating and come back later so once he sends them out he's guaranteed the food
it's the least they could do with such a dramatic design that doesn't fit the world

Being able to parry through attacks for the Great Sword has to be one of the coolest things they added to the weapon.
