You work just blows my mind, honestly... Here I am trying to learn animation and some frame by frame stuff and I see your work and I'm "How the hell am I gonna do something like this??". Also, this is a compliment! =] I do feel like a total beginner, but seeing work like yours makes me feel like this is amazing and there's so much to learn still.
Thanks for your words Gino :) we are all in the same boat, really. I feel the same way so many times 😅. There is always more to learn :) just try to be patient and learn or create something new every day (that's what I try to tell myself as well 😝)
These videos are pure gold. Thank you so much Gareso. It's an invaluable learning opportunity to be able to look over the shoulder of someone so skilled.
Love your workflow! I am just getting into frame-by-frame animation and this is extremely helpful! I also have a tutorial request for you, regarding workflow in AnimateCC: could you please go a bit in-depth on how you "Refine" the frames after the sketch-animation is done? So - sharp strokes, colors, etc - how you build the final look. I am curious if you copy-paste+tweak the shapes from one frame onto another, or if you redraw the whole thing each frame. Workflow-wise this is essential information! Please consider it. And keep up the good work!:)
Thanks for the feedback Nikola! Well, actually It's a mix of both. Sometimes, if the frames are similar, I tend to copy/paste/edit. Some other times I find it's faster to just redraw from scratch. The key here is to find a way to do it faster and here's where software knowledge and experience comes in handy. On my last animation I tried cleaning up in After effects, and I think it has its pros and cons, depending on what you are animating. Unfortunately I avoid getting too much into detail on those videos to keep the channel manageable. I don't discard creating a course in the future to get deeper into details tho ;)
Amazing tutorial with advanced techniques and beautiful art! I do have one question though, how did you make sure the ones and twos between Animate and AnimDessin are aligned? Is it an auto process? Thank you!
Thanks a lot! :) The frames are aligned just by looking at the reference imported from Animate, it's not automated, but it's very easy to align... if there's a change, there's another frame ;)
Hi Yash! That's so nice of you to say :) I'm flattered. I have been working with animation for quite some time now. I have a degree in graphic design (2006) and I worked as a web designer for almost 5 years before making the change to animation in 2008. In 2010 I started my own studio and stayed there until 2018, but I felt I was not developing as an artist as much as I wanted. So I decided to fully reconnect with the hands-on side of things and started focusing on studying and practicing again. Now I'm living in Sydney Australia :)
These videos are a guiding path for newbies, Thankyou ❤, need more like this , this is a crash course tu us🔥
Brilliant breakdown, the crowd is something I've been trying to nail for an animation and your process has been so helpful!
Great to hear that Richard! :)
Thanks so much. Your tutorials are a master class in animation techniques! Soooo glad I found your channel.
Thanks so much for your words Dave :)

Hello Mr.Gareso, I love your workflow. Are you using a drawing tab?
Yes, always :) no need to go fancy tho, especially if you are starting out. any decent tablet will do the job.

I have no plans for an in-depth animation tutorial at the moment, but it's definitely a possibility for the (maybe not so near) future ;)
