      Hi Pinak, thanks! But actually there is an easier way to have onion skinning in Ae, that I learned recently. All you have to do is to use the effect CC Wide Time :)

    There is a screenshot button in footage(camera icon) panel where u can take screenshot of any frame and then if you press the show screenshot button (camera with eye) it will show that frame in you footage panel

    Hi thanks for this amazing workflow video, can you please explain How did you export the cinema 4D Animation to the After effect ?

    • @gareso
      @gareso  4 роки тому

      Hi Hassan, thanks! You don't need to export the animation to After Effects (well, actually, you can't with Cinema 4d Lite). All you need to do is save your file and it will update in After Effects (if the file is not in After Effects yet, just import it).

    Would you say that "cleaning up" shapes (from sketch to final) in AAE is more time-efficient than doing it in Animate? Your "Workflow #2" tutorial is with Animate, whereas this is with AAE. I am curious how you determine which software to use.

    • @gareso
      @gareso  4 роки тому +2

      Hi Nikola, I think it depends mostly on the action you are animating. If you have an action that requires lots of changes in perspective, "3d" rotations, or lots of changes in the shape of the character I would probably advise sticking with Animate. But if the action is simpler and the body parts don't change too much, I would probably do it in AE. The good thing about doing it in AE is that you can use some native AE tools or plugins (like RubberHose, Limber or any other ) to speed up the process. Every tool has its pros and cons. The more you understand them, the easier it will be to decide which one to use.

    I need help with adding Shadows and Highlights to vector animations in after effects, maybe your Videos on grain shades will help me alot🙏🏼😅

    • @gareso
      @gareso  4 роки тому

      Yes, have a look at the Noise Texture Tutorial. If you don't want the noise you can remove the noise and use it just to add shadows/highlights :)

    How to smooth Rough Animator Animation using Adobe after effects?

    • @gareso
      @gareso  4 роки тому +2

      Smoothness in animation comes primarily by respecting movement arcs, eases (in & out) and by aligning the drawings properly to avoid bumps. Have all these in mind on every stage of the animation (rough pass and clean up). 😉
