Korea is one of the few countries where it is actually less weird for them to have a Christian path. Caspian report put out a video on Christianity in Korea and I highly recommend you check it out. (4 years old now)
Basically, Koreans used Christianity as both a way to modernize and as a way to "rebel" against Japanese imperialism and their forced Shinto practices. In more recent decades, priests in the military and their rivalry with atheist North Korea have caused the religion to continue to grow, even if the growth is slowing down now. According to that video, Christianity is the most practiced faith in South Korea, beaten only by the irreligious. Christianity even beats Buddhism in Korea

You should play Kaiserredux and unify China as Bonapartist Fengtian with Emperor Zhan Zuolin! Sorry, I forgot to add the country path guide from the discord.
Do not choose to unify China by Negotiation, when doing the focus "The Question of the Presidency", keep Zhuolin in power and have him survive, then complete the focus "A Father to the People" before doing the focus to send Japan an Ultimatum. Make sure not to be at war before doing the Ultimatum focus.
