This took me 18 MONTHS to make.... but it was worth it. Thank you all for taking part in what I consider to be EU4 HISTORY! MY MAGNUM OPUS IS FINISHED! i can finally rest
This is by far one of the most impressive things I've seen done in a Paradox game! Congrats on getting it finished and to all of the other players that worked together to make this video. Your videos have gave me lots of enjoyment throughout the last months and years :)
This is so Ironic, because the Roman Republic was found on ideals shown in this video, aggresive and expansionist consuls who only had a short amount of time to achieve glory and prestige, so would often try to do as much as possible with little regard for what comes after their time in office is finished.
Something about recruiting MP players to do in 80 years what dozens of SP players couldn't in 250 years is both incredibly awesome and incredibly funny to me.
Would be also really cool to see each player representing different in-game ruler. So for example there is some great ruler who lives for pretty long, does some great stuff and then when he dies player changes. Someone lives longer, someone is less lucky This way players could, for example, make themselves a general(if ruler got good stats as general) and risk their life to win in important war. Also if its regency then its next players aswell. Regency over? Next please. I personally think this got some potential.
Ok I know the comments are mostly memes here but this is genuinely awesome, amazing idea, great execution and improvisation to save it there at the end, editors with the patience of absolute saints who deserve ALL the recognition for going through so many players, all in all thanks to all of you who contributed in making this!!
This is such a cool concept, its like actual leaders change of powers and goals their very own interests and designs, bad leader's vs good leaders, such a great social experiment
I wasnt part of this project (even though I could have) but its nice to see this finally coming into fruition. This recording probably put a strain on Spud, but atleast he managed to not become mentally insane because of some questionable decisions. We also see the evolution of Laith here, with his hair looking like the Great Barrier Reef to present normal haircut. How nice of you to show us your past mistakes. Atleast the goal was reached to form the ultimate pizza empire, Rome. Well done everyone. 😄

I think me and Spanish deserve some credit for setting it up for them. I was the sweat before the sweat. Ultra depressing to know the next five people were garbage lol
I have to say maybe the views and other stuff like that won't be worth the effort and time put in to this video but this has to be one of the most fun and genuinly interesting eu4 video I've ever seen!
I love this concept. I really hope for you that you're proud of what you did and that it will be worth for you, given the effort ( since we can see that it wasn't that easy to do ). I want to give more credits to the good players that did fix the coalition thing ( sorry, forgot their names, don't hurt me ) before the 5 or 6 bad players in a row... Then, the total carry in the last 80 years, that was something else. I would've love to have a list of everyone participating with the rating they had.
Hahaha I loved the video man. Thanks for the dedication to completing such a long project, thanks to you and everyone behind the scenes for the better half of 2 years of work! A phenomenal result!
This is a good idea. Would be cool to incorporate a story of each player like it's a long running empire and say each player was a duke/king/emperor and give the particularly good or bad ones nicknames like John 'the Terrible' or Michael 'the Good' depending on how well they did. Reminds me of the Consulships of Rome, where the Consuls would make sub-optimal treaties because they prefer to get the victory during their term rather than give the next Consul a big W.
There wasn’t much of anything for most of the time, it was about a week of signups in early 2023 but after that it was just me and someone else going through 5 years for the following weeks/months. No surprised you missed it.

Finally had the time to watch all of it. The last few decades is amazing. The power of the most sweatiest gamers fixing mistakes and overcoming a crooked Italy in short amount of time. Chef kiss.
This is like irl democracy you should do this but the player rules for as long as the character lives so it sorta simulates monarchy (it might only take 9 months instead)
I feel like there should have been an entrance exam before starting this project, for example, how do you attach a general to an army? How do you check for aggressive expansion? Have you played more than 20 hours of EU4. (Some of these players appear to have failed on all 3 questions).
For a version in the future. Maybe include one mini mod. Every 5 years on Jan 2nd elect a new ruler that’s a 2/2/5 or other, so it’s average the whole time. And maybe give them the ability to rename the ruler. And since it was always multiplayer, what if each person has to post 1 message in the discord chat describing their time and what they’re trying to do, to be read by the next person. I think discord limits characters too so you shouldn’t get too many novels. But that’d be a fun piece of culture. Next campaign also… ? Theodoro must form Germany? Or bundelkhand into Germany (same flag, old meme) The discord chat is also a place that you could use to make it more roleplay, when you said everyone trying to make their mark on the game causing AE, I couldn’t help but think of every Roman consul wanting to be a special boy in his one year. So pretty accurate, but maybe if you had them write it from the perspective of a 5year consulship trying to create their own legacy when they post at the end?
This is cool concept it is like you actually have different governments in power and you have to fix/keep what previous people have done. Laith is a man of many haircuts... I mean talents.
I would love to see a video series where each player plays for as long as their ruler is in power. In the case of elections, the duration would naturally be shorter, but in kingdoms, it would be very interesting
I'd love to see something like this done with Anbennar. There's so many runs that would be good for this, Jadd WC, Dwarves to Aul-Dwarov, Castanor, Sunrise Empire...
Could be cool to do a similar thing as a grand campaign (obviously with longer time periods per player). To keep things interesting you could start somewhere crap (like Tibet) and send in a player to mess everything up a bit if things are going too well
Something similar to this in CK3 would be fantastic, each player living through the life of a single ruler as they lead their dynasty from 867 to 1453.

To be fair, that's what happens when you recruit from the sweat pool rather than the fan pool. Not dissing the fans, it's just natural really.
