lots of yakking but no info i was looking for, power, speed and how far can you go. i think that's what were really interested in. does it feel like a 125 or a 600 on steroids? will it go 20 miles on a full charge or 1000 miles? whats the top speed? 30 mph or 120? how about 0 to 60?
Range depends a lot on the battery option you go with, which is why it's hard to talk about haha. On the 7.2 it'll go about 100 miles also depending on how much you are in the throttle. Top speed I never reached as I focused on the offroad riding, which is what most people asked me for with this model. Feels like you're riding a VERY light 450cc motocross bike.
Wow on the standard battery (Putman below), it can do over 100 miles? That's a seriously good range for a fun weekend ride, commute to work etc. The Zero motorcycle company is really the pioneer of e motorbikes. (how easilly does it wheelie?) Thanks a lot. keep up the good work.
I'll use that as a checklist for a more in-depth review for sure! The only thing that might be hard is the comparison with the KTM, because I can't guarantee that I will be able to get my hands on the KTM Freeride to do the comparison at that time. But I will try!
I don’t know if it’s a learning curve but I like the clutch. Sometimes in tricky stuff I slip the clutch and ride my bike like a two stroke. When you run into trouble the engine revs but your ok because you grabbed the clutch. My kids have auto clutches and I don’t know how many times I’ve seen them off into the rhubarb. This is the only thing that worries me about electric bikes. I am not a discounter as I already have an electric car.
What about how it handles off road? I'm considering one but I'm a bigger guy. So I need like a 450 high out put off road to really get it. You mentioned its similar to a 250-650 duel sport. Those are vastly different. Also no talk of range at all really.
The offroad handling is basically what you would expect from a 250 dual sport, think along the lines of a WR250 or similar. The power was more in line with a 400cc+ bike especially torque off the bottom, this thing was all torque. And as far as range it varies SOOOOO much I didn't want to make promises...plus it depends on the power pack you go with. On the standard battery I get 100-120 miles out of a charge...that being said I'm not being too much of an ass with the throttle most of the time.

That's a really tough question to answer, it will depend on how your particular state or local law handles that difference in the license. For example some states/areas define it specifically as a scooter license if you pass on a scooter, some define it as a license to ride an automatic motorcycle. For example here someone can pass on a scooter, and can also ride a can-am Spyder or Ryker. It will be a question for your local license authority because it differs!
Hey Alex, I've been thinking long and hard about adding a Zero to the current stable of one. Would really like to get your take on the whole line and what it looks like as a commuter. I can have a 60 mile round trip 5 days a week, and my concern with Zero is the range at 60-70mph for about 40 of those miles.
As long as you get something with a 14.4 battery setup you should be just fine, they tend to get plenty of range for your commute so long as you get that setup, especially in any of the more street oriented models! For your purposes I would look at something in the S, SR, or DS families!
@@AlexSimmons11c That is what I was thinking after doing some research. Other problem is the price of those bikes, yikes 20K. That's a different issue though. The name zero is kinda misleading has alot of plastic (petroleum by product) rubber tires (petroleum by product) the aluminum frame manufactured with assistance from (petroleum by product) the batteries again (petroleum by product) so the name zero only refers to its emissions until the batts flames out then its not
But fear not theirs is a true zero their called the horse of course
Nice move there luddite. Except horses are not true zero either. They emit gas too. Aka fart. That adds up ya know. But hey if you wanna be better than pretentious evhipsters go ride your horsey johnny knuckledragger. Have fun! Don't forget to bring a bag of carrot for your true zero.
I'll stick with my KTM.... It doesn't try to bite me, piss on me, or just be a general pain in the ass.... Of course I can't turn my KTM into a big vat of glue when it's just about dead or shoot it in the head and fill my freezer up with steaks either...... Mmmmmmmm horse for dinner
literally WORST review i of anything ive ever seen. no specs no price, nothing just rambling. NEVER MAKE ANOTHER VIDEO
Thanks so much Kei for taking the time to watch and to slam it in the comments! While I do like constructive criticism, please realize riding motorcycles isn't all about specs and price. Different dealers set different price, so that WOULD BE USELESS, and specs don't matter. The actual concept of what YOU FEEL when you ride is what matters, which is what I try to give my audience.
Thanks for the input, have a nice day ;-)
Great review! Stupid bike! Sick sweater!
No, I mean that. Sick like its making me want to barf. Super nasty bro...🤢🤮
Mmmmmmm nasty barf sweaters!
Zero motorcycle are a joke and a major ripoff. U are better off with an affordable chinese brand. I would never buy those zero great POS! This is the reason why zero will disappear as a company and go bankrupt. No wonder they are called zero, as in you get zero value! Stay away from this electric crap!💩💩💩💩
