I rode 110 miles today with significant elevation changes and some high speeds. 25% charge left. This bike is truly amazing in every way. I will never go gas again.
This might be the bike for me. Honestly I would love to learn to ride "traditional" bikes but this looks like a really simple way to gain confidence and learn basic riding.
Robert Norrie / Don't waste your valuable time on an old bike technology. If you have a daily commute/total miles less than 75 daily...buy this bike. It's clean, cheap to ride, and has virtually ZERO maintenance. Why buy an old tech bike?
If it's outside your price range, you could start on something like a Honda CT110 (also known as the Postman's bike). It's a small bike, so it's easy to control and the best part is, it has no clutch. It has a gearbox (3 speed, I think) but you don't need to operate a clutch to take off or change gears. It's called the Postman's bike because they can use them to deliver mail with their left hand without having to worry about pulling in a clutch to stop at each letterbox.
I've been riding a DSR as my daily commuter for 8 months. I love driving a stick and hate automatics. But I LOVE riding this bike. It has more jump than my BMW R1150R. There's no noise and I can hear other traffic better. Coming up toms stop light I can brake with my right foot and put my left foot down when I stop at a long light - and keep it down until I twist my wrist. (I always found it kinda awkward to switch feet so I could put it in gear.) It's nice for slowly squeezing between cars in the parking lot or driveway. Faster acceleration and higher speeds do cut the range down, and I can see where riding for an hour or two then charging for an hour (IF you have the J1772 charger) is not exactly ideal trekking scenario. But for a daily commuter this bike is AWESOME!
I live in the city and don't commute very far or go very fast very often. Ninety percent of my ride time is spent sitting at traffic lights. A charge lasts weeks. I got it end-of-year sale new for $7500, and there were state and federal rebates on top of that. Although perfect for my niche, I understand that they have their limitations. Things can only get better.
HEY! He just answered the question I've been searching through tons of videos for! You can get the standard bike for 11k and upgrade later as you see fit. PERFECT. As long as my local store supports that...
They’re great I own a 2017 Zero Sr and 0-100 I beat anything 650 or below while only paying 75 cents for a charge per 100 miles. The price of gas will pay it off over 4 years.

Yes, custom mode: set brake (ie brake regen) to an intensity above 0 that you want (I do 100) and regen (ie coast regen) to 0. Now can do all things you describe and desire by a light pull on brake lever, before the disc bites, which will activate regen.

See i have something to discuss about these...since i'm using my dad's electric scooters for a long time...also i'm a disk prolapse patient...on my view ,the weight of an electric bike is very less, comparing with a petrol bike..so for every shortest gutter or stone on road, the feed back get on our body will be huge.also the speed, maintanance, handyness etc are big factors..also due to less weight,at high speeds(if available) or even about 40kmph,the bike willl be difficult to handle...but this is about the scooter we had...this looks good, need to get this on indian roads...

What a cool concept, especially for commuting through cities. But that comes at fairly hefty price in the UK, retailing for around £14.7k. With a quoted city max range of 163 miles and reducing to around 80 miles on motorways at 70mph. Fully recharging the Zero is a fairly long process taking up to 9.8 to hours to reach 100% charge (9.3 hours 95%). In the UK, Zero owners are required to pass a Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) course before you can 'legally' ride a Zero on public highways. It's a shame that higher performance eBikes & eScooters (+250watt motors) are not permitted on UK roads according to current legislation, which differs from the rest of Europe. Britain should catch up and embrace new zero-emissions transport, not govern them with highways acts established in 1835! This is my opinion, I could be wrong.
Cool bike, futuristic. But there were some details like range of the bike in full charge was not mentioned. And the cost is too high, don't you think. If a bike can't give a range of 300km/hr then the cost you spend would be for nothing. Other than these I hope everyone likes the bike.

When the price is LESS than an ICE bike I'll consider it. At nearly 60mpg I can go just shy of 450 miles on my 2015 Yamaha XVS950 for $15, Refuel takes 3 minutes. The ZERO doesn't do cold weather at all.
$11000 .... thats quite expensive. But great stuff
You're adorable ..I am purchasing mine this summer ..super stoked ..I like this one for sure glad you guys reviewed it
What's the price
DOES THE GIRL COME WITH THE BIKE FOR THAT PRICE ?
Gear changing is a vital part of biking. Without them is just wrong.
Oooowwww...."I'd like to go a big girl ride!"
So what's the kWatt rating from "econo mode to 'spank me' mode please?"
Go back to your Facebook girl... not gonna happen
Torque and power double
See i have something to discuss about these...since i'm using my dad's electric scooters for a long time...also i'm a disk prolapse patient...on my view ,the weight of an electric bike is very less, comparing with a petrol bike..so for every shortest gutter or stone on road, the feed back get on our body will be huge.also the speed, maintanance, handyness etc are big factors..also due to less weight,at high speeds(if available) or even about 40kmph,the bike willl be difficult to handle...but this is about the scooter we had...this looks good, need to get this on indian roads...
Yeah, you won’t have any of those problems with this bike.
This is just like my regular gas motorcycle. In fact, I found it to be even smoother and more comfortable on the road and at high speed.
Here’s a second video I made about it.

Electric Bike with Electric GirL - Emie :D
The electricity of her smile.😂
Great Vid, wherever you go next take Amie with you. You guys are great together at least on video.
Ha!
Thanks. Except she lives in a different city, so we only see each other maybe once a year.
@@DownieLive Soooooooooooooo? Whats the problem she rides you ride, shes young your young???? Whats the issue??? STOP making excuses and get happening with Hot Amie as I said you two look great together.
There is no recharge station in the forest !
But there’s likely an outlet somewhere. Even provincial park campsites come with plug ins.
Maybe you can strap a small Honda generator to the back end :)
No clutch is like a DCT transmission.
What city are you in?
Vancouver
Ah I was guessing so. I am a little bit east of you away from the crowds and traffic.
Oh that’s nice. It can be annoying to battle the traffic anytime I want to go for a ride.
Awesome bike, awesome haircut! Thank you.
the bike is gorgeous, so did she :)
is*
Argh
Thanks for the info. I'm a new rider so this is cool!
11000 DOLLAR ....... THATS ALOT
Excellent transportation power tool.
Where can I find more of aimee! She's hot af, and knowledgeable... I'll be your 1subscriber
Simp! 🤣
I'm joking
Amy's awesome!!! Cool bike, thanks for the great video.
Thanks for watching!
Well I enjoy the ride because of lovelu exhaust sound from my kawasaki. That motocycle sounds odd, and is relativiely quiet so it means that car drivers can not hear you so the ride is more dangerous. :(
would love one but well out of my price range ! i ride a petrol bike but always wanted an electric bike but there doesant seem to be any for a resonable price !
i like changing gears, revving, noise and vibrations. I'll pass.
Good man for helping Amy !!👍😊 pay it forward .
f*** the bike, I'm gonna get me an Amie :D
yellow fever at its zenith!
Schistocyte You know it's possible to be attracted to an asian because she's attractive and not because she's asian, right?
Well her dream is riding stick and driving a motorcycle so you have a chance. Lmao
bike is officially on.....
$25.00 to fill a motorcycle? Expensive fuel.
Yeah man, it’s crazy expensive right now. That wasn’t an exaggeration, it actually cost that much.
@@DownieLive And that's with oil prices at 1/2 of it's peak.
Oil is at $57 per barrel, that's 2019 dollars, in 2018 it was at $64.90 and it was $110 a barrel in 2011 or $122/barrel in 2019 dollars.
That means much of what your paying for are taxes and profit.
@@pogo1140 Try living in the UK dude, we get shafted every which way......for everything!
Surprised they made it operable without an app. Melenials would love to drive around without taking their eyes of their smart phones.
cobalt ocean millennials* and I’ve seen a ton of you baby boomers on your phones as well
Cool bike, futuristic.
But there were some details like range of the bike in full charge was not mentioned.
And the cost is too high, don't you think.
If a bike can't give a range of 300km/hr then the cost you spend would be for nothing.
Other than these I hope everyone likes the bike.
