Just got this installed a couple days ago and I’m thoroughly enjoying it, it’s doing exactly what I picked it up for and that was to keep the shifter in neutral as I have the shifter tilted to simulate being in a classic cab over truck, the ‘notchy’ shifts are nice too 👌
Top notch, just installed mine today! This combined with the short shift mod makes the th8a into a damn good shifter.
Seems pretty solid as well!
Thank you for the kind feedback Flemming and glad to hear you like it👌
Can i ask does it still work as well now as the day you installed it?
@@redeyerob2176 Yes, however I don't use it that much, but so far so good.
@@flemmingrummelhoff2908 why don’t u use it
@@isaacabernathy8819 i think cause hes miss shifting a lot like i do, and its hardcore shifting into the right gear,id like to know why neutral is more left orientated than in the middle, it could be me mishifting that the sitck is so loose to the left and right. or maybe the placement of the shifter its mounted to the table. just got it today and its really hard to enjoy with all this miss shifting :(
Nice vid!
Just installed this and ngl this be so good. Had the ClicBeetle Pro shifter mod before hand and was still too light for my likings (probably around 2kg of force). But with this mod allowing 4kg of force when shifting just makes it so much more better and close to realistic.
you can still use It in sequential mode?
yes you can
The best mod you can get. Absolutely love it.
Broke after 4 months. Presumebly because i set it too tight. Wish they gave the model to print it yourself if broken. Really like this design but i ain't rich.
Made my own design today. Figured out why theirs broke. The damn idiots don't print it with 100% infill. They are cheaping out while asking the jackpot as price. Shameless.
@@marmitaa8619 you should send me that design. Went to buy it and $54 for some plastic junk.
Should've read this comment before I bought it, shit
I was just about to buy it, same price 54$ to ship in France
How is it if you still use it please ?
beautiful
Nice vid with a good choice of music ! I ordered one yesterday, can't wait to test it : I hope it's much better than the Clixbeetle GT one which was pretty bad from my experience : Bad clips to hold the gate, way too smooth feeling of gearstick, it was like melted butter, so I tried to tighten it up and after 10mn of use (and still a bad feeling) it just broke with 1 split on each side around the screws. There also was too much play in the longitudinal axle. I was very upset and disappointed. I hope yours is much much better, at least it should be hold nicely and I hope it will allow for a much better feeling too thanks to its 8 bearballs. Then if it could be 100% metal for a next design it would be much more durable, no ? Thanks for reading.
Im pretty sure we need to put the sensor cable back in because my shifter has been acting weird without it, 3rd gear gets triggered when gearbox is in neutral
I have received my order a month ago. when i do the shifting. it feel like metal to metal grinding, ball spring is pretty hard to go in, is that normal? Also may I know what's the size of the ball spring, are those m10 ball spring screws?
Those mods are adjustable to your liking, by turning those screw in or out. A small amount of grease is also needed for a smoother operation, as shown in the video.
What would be the best grease for long use
Silicone grease lasted my clixbeetle for 2 years and when I changed to this it looked the same! Probably good for 3+ years at least
If I am only using it for H pattern can I leave button ?
@Custom Sim Shop
What why is removing the button necessary thanks
Does this still work with a short throw H plate?
Anyone had an issue after removing the sequential wiring plug that 5th gear doesn't engage. 5th is now 6th gear and 6th gear is still 6th gear????
Did you fix this
do i have to take out that button im using H pattern for ets2 so ? or can i leave it in
That button can stay there, no need to remove it
I live in us can I purchase it?
Are the cable ties necessary?
How long will this last?
These have been in use for about a year now, without any issues. Might need to tighten the plungers every once in a while to make it stiffer.
Does this work with your sequential mod
It does work togehter with our Sequential shifter kit.
I got this but when i finish install it only shift 6 gears 1 to 6 no 7 no R :(
Are you sure you did everything correctly? If you are having troubles, then please send an email to support@customsimshop.com
!!!ATENTION!!!
DO NOT USE SILICONE GREASE
i had this for less than 2 weeks and now my th8a doesnt work anymore
at first i used silicone grease for everything in the th8a and it must of gotten in the circuit board it woroked for a bit than my th8a didnt get detected anymore
also the ballsprings came out wich is somthing that is very hard to do (because of the silicone grease)
DO NO USE ANY LIQUID TYPE GREASE
and make sure it dosent touch the circuit board
the 3D printed part has 8 screw holes in it and if you ever need to replace one of the springs be careful when screwing back in to place because its very easy to screw it at an angle, and it will screw away the plastic damaging the part
I got really unlucky with this
The shipping cost to Europe are killing me. Too bad
Maybe next time instead of the stupid music in the back round you could of talked and explained where your putting the cables abit better and showing up better
