Just got mine in the mail. There was a little bit of fiddling involved in getting it to seat super well onto the shifter but after I got it on there it was great. Was binding and was really hard to shift. I put a little grease on some of the parts and it was super smooth and feels really great. Love it.

Is it in game that the up and down shift is recognized once this mod is applied or what? I've been confused and hope I didn't buy something I can't even utilize... @@mrturbo757 I have this on order as well. As far as i know you would have to bind the gear up and gear down respectively. Shift up a gear push it foward, Shift down a gear pull it back. You have to bind it in game. I play on FH5.
It’s because some people just like the look of it and how you can adjust it with the different spacers. It can function as a hand brake or a sequential shifter. When only 1 of the other options is $200 and it can be both but it can’t be easily installed and only works with thrustmaster. The Logitech has one of the best easiest mounting options and some people don’t have the choice to mount the $200 shifter/brake one
you know how i justify it? theres no other option if you want sequential. you must not know why sequential is necessary which led you to your conclusion. to most people this is worth it and its a plus that the shifter is only 50$. go ahead and get a thrustmaster for 200 and pay even more for mods, this isnt for you
some people like me cant justify spending 5000+ on a set up (fanatec thrustmaster). i have a g27 i want better shifting this is cheap compared to other options so this is what i will buy. This is for people who dont want the best of the best just want to improve what they have and im really fucken happy i found this

Got mine, very fast shipping. Works great, only the holes in the adapter are a bit too small for the shift rod. But I don't need an adapter because the spring tension is optimal for me without an adapter. I love the mod
I love this thing. I installed the “harder shifter natural feel” thing first, then I installed the seq. Mod…wow! I cut my lap times down by 2 seconds or better in rally cross on Dirt 2.0 and significantly improved all other track times in the regular rally. Drifting is a blast either way. Seq, or With it removed. I haven’t tried the ebrake mod yet. But I will eventually and when I do, I will update. Many Blessings.
@@ethanboakes4808 you have to go to the settings and set the 3rd gear as shift up, and then set the 4th gear as shift down, or which ever way you prefer. I believe that the real cars are set similar, but any how this makes for a great shifting experience.

@@lafaina79 I honestly can’t remember it was quite awhile ago when I bought it! To be completely honest I don’t remember paying any extra fees, shipping did take a few weeks but that’s expected for long travels I suppose! Still use the kit today it’s held up pretty nice so far!!
UA-cam suggested this to me today, after already pretty much deciding on going logitech for my first wheel (instead of thrustmaster due to breakage or fanatec due to cost). I was definitely interested in modding and am very electrical/handy/tech savvy, but now that I see there are robust, clean mod products out there....I am so effing excited to go logitech!!! These mods are great! Not some cheap crap, this is pro! Wow I am excited.

I could see this design being able to support a 6 speed aswell just have the centre peice slide left and right with equal forces in all directions, damn that would be really good
In the future I will be most likely getting this since I’ve gotten back into sim racing and especially dirt rally so this will be huge, but as of now I don’t have much income since I’m a teenager, but keep up the great work! You’ll be the reason most people get into rally racing and etc
Very clean, I made a DIY sequential out of a usb encoder , if I knew this existed I'd have just but this along with the usb standalone mod for that shifter

This looks awesome, id really like the shift mechanism at the base to be the same colour as the blue on the logitech G29 and the stem and handle to be black or flip it the other way the lever the same colour as the wheel and the base and stem in black 🤞🏻😉

This looks cool but it is a little expensive for juste some 3D printed parts and pieces of metal... I would like to have the models to print them on my own, the modeling work is impressive :)

If I was on xbox or ps4 maybe but the price of this and the shifter combined just makes me want to go to buying the 7speed/sequential shifter for like 170. I get its custom but its really expensive and I recommend pc users go the other option if they havent already bought the g920's shifter
We appreciate your opinion and are working towards different options on making the manufacturing process cheaper. Currently it's a fairly time consuming process making these kits and we only use quality materials in the process. When designing these kits, a lot of R&D went into making these shifters feel 'realistic' and would be optimized on making your simulator experience more immersive. There are a variety of different shifters available for people to buy, but how many of these were designed by comparing the feel to an 'actual racecar sequential gearbox' like we have done? These are also fully adjustable (throw length and force) to make the shifter feel like the 'Sequential gearbox' that a person is use to. We don't claim these to be the closest replication of the real thing, but we have spent a lot of time on the design, to make it feel as close as possible, without designing one from scratch, which is also in the works already.
I understand and had I been someone that already owned the g920 shifter I would 100% get that over buying thrustmasters option. So dont get me wrong like I said if someone is on pc and doesnt have the g920 shifter it might be worth just getting the thrustmadter option. But if you already have the g920 shifter or are on console with a g920 or I think the ps4 version is g29 this is a good option im not dissing the product its a good price if you already own the thing or are on console but to someone like me it is not worth the cost your product looks and sounds great and probably is. Sorry if I sounded like a Karen before hand.
@@kil3rblood148 that's not a problem and with many different people, there are bound to be different opinions and preferences. We have had the chance, to test TSS sequential shifter/handbrake and were less than impressed, with the feel that it provides, hence why we designed a kit to improve the Logitech shifter and TH8A to a 'Sequential shifter' which we think, does a much better job in providing a 'realistic' feel for a shifter. And if you're like us and still want to have the option to go with 'H-pattern', then it's a pretty easy decision.
I was looking for a handbrake mod, G27 shifter lost reverse years ago and I've repurposed it as a handbrake using a rubber band, it could use a better feel, the handle I made out of a used CO2 cartridge and a lot of electrical tape, basically what high school me had laying around back in the day, ghetto, but it got the job done, may pick one of these up soon
Thank you Michael.. Unfortunately we have not used it on Xbox one yet. It seems that unless you have a 'Driving hub' adapter, you are not able to assign buttons for [up-shift] and [down-shift] on Xbox one, but we are unsure.
yeah dont think it will work on xbox forza unfortunately, we cant do custom button mapping which is a bit annoying. but games such as assetto corsa and some dirt titles where you can do that custom assign i think you might be able to. might try sweet talk the guys into sending me one so i can do some product testing for a video ahahaha

Just bought one. It works well. Btw it’s not alloy, it’s a really shiney 3d printed plastic of some sort. Will be interesting to see how long it lasts.

Some more feedback for you. Mine is still going strong. As a matter of fact i've since tried a number of sequential shifters on other rigs (some high end) and i must say, this is without doubt the best feeling and most satisfying to use shifter i've tried.
now this... looks quality!! i might need to have a look into one aha. Do a lot of horizon 4 on xbox though so not really a way to map the shifter to a 'sequential' but have recently started playing things like dirt and assetto corsa which you can... i think ahaha.
Appreciate the feedback👌 have you tried out one of those adapters? Supposedly you can assign buttons through that, as that makes it a standalone? But also not sure about it, as we haven't had a chance to test with Xbox or PS.
Question, what material is the mod made from? It looks like aluminum. Looking for an alternative to a fanatec shifter as they begin to miss-shift after a while. Also do you sell the 9 pin to USB adapter as well?
How have you connected 2 gear sticks as I’d love to do this have one for hand break and one gears but my g920 wheel only has the port for pedals and 1 gear stick :(

You can use 2 Logitech shifters with the 'Co-pilot' adapter. It will allow you to plug 1 shifter in the USB port and still use the 2nd through the Logitech wheelbase
My question is how tf do you use 2 shifters at the same time (one for handbrake) if u have to have them both connected to the wheel and there's only one entry to one shifter, and how so you customize is to be recognized as a handbrake? I'm so confused
Great product man! I’m just getting into sim racing and I am a little confused on how the technology of this actually works. How does it go from an H pattern to a SQ by only changing the top plate. It just doesn’t make sense to me that this can change the inner workings and (keybinds I guess??) so that it works as an SQ in game. Edit: Also, same question pretty much, how does it change from an H pattern or SQ shifter into a handbrake just based off of the top plate? It seems like this would need a total inner reworking of the shifter to turn in to a handbrake?
So I’m basic H pattern when you shift into a given gear it triggers a sensor and the game recognizes that sensor activating and puts the car into given gear. If you change some settings and use the sequential mod, it essentially turns the 3rd gear sensor Into up/down shift and 4th into vis versa. Using the top plate just helps keep the shifter signed only to 3rd and 4th so you can’t “miss” a shift. And for handbrake it’s basically the same thing turning 3rd or 4th sensor into e-brake

I'm already using your H-pattern improvement mod with a genuine Sparco knob (stays in a place with 3 screws around the lever) that adds more weight to it, what a feel! 1) Can I still use my Sparco knob with this sequential/handbrake mod? The spring seems to use a lot space on the lever. 2) You mention in this video that if we've already got the improvement mod we need to use larger spacers. I'm assuming they are included in the kit. Will this fitting also affect the mount of my Sparco knob? Thanks in advance. Looking forward to add this to my setup!
Thank you for the great feedback, we really appreciate it. Regarding the 'Sparco' gear knob, then we are unsure, if you can use that, as it may take up too much room on the gear lever. Our gear knob are designed to sit on the top of the gearlever, so it has more room for the spring and also adds a bit of height to the gear lever. And the spacers do come with the kit, so there is a variety of different stiffness levels to choose from.
These kits are quite time-consuming to produce/assemble/package and use a custom rate spring. These are also assembled with good quality parts, which are not cheap. Unfortunately we can't offer it for much cheaper for now, but we are working towards making it more affordable in the future.

bro just go with t300, the g923 is very bad compared to the t300 in terms of forcefeedback, plus if you want a good handbrake get that ebay one its 30 bucks and it's the closest you get to real life also you can use the logitech shifter with a thrustmaster wheel or the thrustmaster shifter which will cost less than the logitech shifter plus this very but very expensive mod
@@pdrombs we can't argue about the T300 vs. G29 feedback force, as Thrustmaster would probably be a better option. But regarding the shifters, then both have their own pros and cons and it would depend on what the main intended purpose of the shifter would be. Neither of them excel in replicating the feel of an actual H-pattern gearbox, but both would do the job of changing gears. With some small modifications, you can gain a fair amont of tactile feedback from both of these shifters. The handbrake mod isn't necessarily meant to be bought as a substitute for a 'hydraulic handbrake' but can be a very handy addition to people, who use their shifter as an 'H-pattern' and 'Sequential shifter' for some disciplines and the 'Handbrake mod' with paddle shifters for rally. There are many different use cases for our mods and find these a good option to have, if you want a more 'realistic' feel to your shifter.
I like this but I also feel there should be a plate(maybe a gated plate to help cover the hole maybe) for this kit for the H- pattern. Not a fan of that open look for the H-pattern set up.
With more parts, there's also more manufacturing and that will affect the price. You still have an option, to use the 'stock' shifter boot, but it will take extra time to install it and to take it off, to install a sequential/handbrake.
Hi Jorge, Thanks for pointing out an issue, that might cause some confusion. Currently when you choose a colour, then it's for the 'ramp' and 'gearknob', as the base plate will come in black. We also offer kits with the preferred colour 'ramp' and a charcoal grey colour gearknob, but that would have to be added as an additinal comment on the order, if you like that. We'll work out an easier system in the coming days..

@@immax7181 well it would depend, if you are able to assign the buttons to do a different operation. With the 'Sequential shifter' you would assign 3rd gear as [shift down] and 4th gear as [Shift up] and you would be sorted.

Question, i have 2 logitech shifters cause my friend gave me his old one awhile ago but the reverse gear stopped working so I just bought another one whatever anyways theyre both the same model, the one you have and i was wondering would it be possible to have one of them as a manual shifter and the second one with the handbreak setup? Like plugged at the same time next to each other you know? I know I would need a usb adapter for the second one but im asking cause the buttons would be the same right so if i mapped the handbreak modded one wouldnt it just shift into 4? Or is there a way around it, cause while this mod cost more than the shifter itself it's still cheaper than buying an actual handbreak. Apologies for this absolute essay 😭😭
You can use a Co-Pilot adapter by Collective minds to make the shifter standalone on a PC. It will allow you to use the linear function of the shifter and should work. we will make a video of it soon
The sequential shifter mod is pretty good, the handbrake one i think is not worth it because it will act as a ON/OFF handbrake, and not pressure sensitive, so for drifting is better just to get a handbrake rather than do this mod. Edit: You have the same monitor like i do ! xD
Thank you for the feedback Patal🙏 You can get the shifter to also work as a 'Linear' handbrake if a 'Co-pilot' adapter is used, like we have in the video. This makes the handbrake act as 'pressure sensitive' and can also only use 30% of handbrake. But in most instances you need a 100% lock-up from the handbrake anyway, so it won't have too much effect.
I have use CSS's mod as handbrake and even it's ON/OFF it working well. Timing is key to get rear wheel off Road. That's work Dirt Rally 2.0 Rallycross-event perfect 👍
I’m just getting in to using sim wheel and peddle and shifter set up and this might sound dumb but I don’t understand how the game and shifter register each other differently just by adding a knob/lock, mod? Especially when the original shifter wasn’t designed to just go up and down/back and forth. Either way I will more than likely be buying one of these because I play mostly rally games and I just find it much quicker with the sequential shifting. Dope ass product.
Great to hear you like it. A small amount of WD-40 or similar needs to be applied on the gear lever so the slider ( part with bearings attached to it) can move on the shaft smoother.

I bet there could be a way. Just program the 4th gear on the shifter as gear up then the 3rd gear would be gear down. I’m not entirely sure if you can do that but I’d make sure you can before you buy the mod.
This mod works with games where you can assign buttons for different operations and may not work with all games on Xbox. We know of a few people who use these with Rally games and also ACC, on an Xbox console.
to clarify , does this mod actually do anything for the H pattern? will it add any stiffness? also whats does 3:18 mean by specially designed h pattern improvement? where can i see it?
This mod doesn't do anything for 'H-pattern' but in the video, there should be a 'suggested video' (around 3:10) which you should be able to click. Alternatively you can check out our other videos and look for 'Logitech H-pattern improvement'

It not that much about the price of the Logitech shifter, rather what this kit can provide, comparing to other similarly priced shifters or even some more expensive versions.
Hey mate, what's the chances of a nice billet h-gate to go with your gearknobs? Keen to try one of the springs, and a knob, but I reckon a matching gate would really tie it all together 👌👌
With our current design, it may start affecting the operation of the 'sequential shifter' since it will scratch the gearlever and make the slider move less smoothly. But we may look into it, with enough interest.

On the site it’s listed in AUD not USD. It still ends up being like $75 USD so it’s still not really worth it

UA-cam suggested this to me today, after already pretty much deciding on going logitech for my first wheel (instead of thrustmaster due to breakage or fanatec due to cost). I was definitely interested in modding and am very electrical/handy/tech savvy, but now that I see there are robust, clean mod products out there....I am so effing excited to go logitech!!! These mods are great! Not some cheap crap, this is pro! Wow I am excited.

This looks cool but it is a little expensive for juste some 3D printed parts and pieces of metal... I would like to have the models to print them on my own, the modeling work is impressive :)
You could learn CAD to make it, which would be cheaper(possibly) and you'd gain a skill to make money with(or whatever you choose to do with it)

If I was on xbox or ps4 maybe but the price of this and the shifter combined just makes me want to go to buying the 7speed/sequential shifter for like 170. I get its custom but its really expensive and I recommend pc users go the other option if they havent already bought the g920's shifter
We appreciate your opinion and are working towards different options on making the manufacturing process cheaper. Currently it's a fairly time consuming process making these kits and we only use quality materials in the process.
When designing these kits, a lot of R&D went into making these shifters feel 'realistic' and would be optimized on making your simulator experience more immersive. There are a variety of different shifters available for people to buy, but how many of these were designed by comparing the feel to an 'actual racecar sequential gearbox' like we have done? These are also fully adjustable (throw length and force) to make the shifter feel like the 'Sequential gearbox' that a person is use to. We don't claim these to be the closest replication of the real thing, but we have spent a lot of time on the design, to make it feel as close as possible, without designing one from scratch, which is also in the works already.
I understand and had I been someone that already owned the g920 shifter I would 100% get that over buying thrustmasters option. So dont get me wrong like I said if someone is on pc and doesnt have the g920 shifter it might be worth just getting the thrustmadter option. But if you already have the g920 shifter or are on console with a g920 or I think the ps4 version is g29 this is a good option im not dissing the product its a good price if you already own the thing or are on console but to someone like me it is not worth the cost your product looks and sounds great and probably is. Sorry if I sounded like a Karen before hand.
@@kil3rblood148 that's not a problem and with many different people, there are bound to be different opinions and preferences.
We have had the chance, to test TSS sequential shifter/handbrake and were less than impressed, with the feel that it provides, hence why we designed a kit to improve the Logitech shifter and TH8A to a 'Sequential shifter' which we think, does a much better job in providing a 'realistic' feel for a shifter. And if you're like us and still want to have the option to go with 'H-pattern', then it's a pretty easy decision.
How do you use 2 logitech shifters . One for shifts and on for ebreak?

I was looking for a handbrake mod, G27 shifter lost reverse years ago and I've repurposed it as a handbrake using a rubber band, it could use a better feel, the handle I made out of a used CO2 cartridge and a lot of electrical tape, basically what high school me had laying around back in the day, ghetto, but it got the job done, may pick one of these up soon

Unfortunately we have not used it on Xbox one yet. It seems that unless you have a 'Driving hub' adapter, you are not able to assign buttons for [up-shift] and [down-shift] on Xbox one, but we are unsure.
yeah dont think it will work on xbox forza unfortunately, we cant do custom button mapping which is a bit annoying. but games such as assetto corsa and some dirt titles where you can do that custom assign i think you might be able to. might try sweet talk the guys into sending me one so i can do some product testing for a video ahahaha

Some more feedback for you. Mine is still going strong. As a matter of fact i've since tried a number of sequential shifters on other rigs (some high end) and i must say, this is without doubt the best feeling and most satisfying to use shifter i've tried.
now this... looks quality!! i might need to have a look into one aha. Do a lot of horizon 4 on xbox though so not really a way to map the shifter to a 'sequential' but have recently started playing things like dirt and assetto corsa which you can... i think ahaha.

Old video so i might not get a reply, but can you connect 2 logitech shifters and have them working at the same time? Keen to get the sequential 2.0, but was wondering if I bother buying 2 kits (one of hand brake too).
You can use 2 Logitech shifters with the 'Co-pilot' adapter. It will allow you to plug 1 shifter in the USB port and still use the 2nd through the Logitech wheelbase

Great product man! I’m just getting into sim racing and I am a little confused on how the technology of this actually works. How does it go from an H pattern to a SQ by only changing the top plate. It just doesn’t make sense to me that this can change the inner workings and (keybinds I guess??) so that it works as an SQ in game.
Edit: Also, same question pretty much, how does it change from an H pattern or SQ shifter into a handbrake just based off of the top plate? It seems like this would need a total inner reworking of the shifter to turn in to a handbrake?

So I’m basic H pattern when you shift into a given gear it triggers a sensor and the game recognizes that sensor activating and puts the car into given gear. If you change some settings and use the sequential mod, it essentially turns the 3rd gear sensor Into up/down shift and 4th into vis versa. Using the top plate just helps keep the shifter signed only to 3rd and 4th so you can’t “miss” a shift. And for handbrake it’s basically the same thing turning 3rd or 4th sensor into e-brake

Thanks for your hard work and the products you came up with. I'm already using your H-pattern improvement mod with a genuine Sparco knob (stays in a place with 3 screws around the lever) that adds more weight to it, what a feel!
1) Can I still use my Sparco knob with this sequential/handbrake mod? The spring seems to use a lot space on the lever.
2) You mention in this video that if we've already got the improvement mod we need to use larger spacers. I'm assuming they are included in the kit. Will this fitting also affect the mount of my Sparco knob?

Regarding the 'Sparco' gear knob, then we are unsure, if you can use that, as it may take up too much room on the gear lever. Our gear knob are designed to sit on the top of the gearlever, so it has more room for the spring and also adds a bit of height to the gear lever.
And the spacers do come with the kit, so there is a variety of different stiffness levels to choose from.

These kits are quite time-consuming to produce/assemble/package and use a custom rate spring. These are also assembled with good quality parts, which are not cheap.
Unfortunately we can't offer it for much cheaper for now, but we are working towards making it more affordable in the future.

bro just go with t300, the g923 is very bad compared to the t300 in terms of forcefeedback, plus if you want a good handbrake get that ebay one its 30 bucks and it's the closest you get to real life also you can use the logitech shifter with a thrustmaster wheel or the thrustmaster shifter which will cost less than the logitech shifter plus this very but very expensive mod
@@pdrombs we can't argue about the T300 vs. G29 feedback force, as Thrustmaster would probably be a better option. But regarding the shifters, then both have their own pros and cons and it would depend on what the main intended purpose of the shifter would be. Neither of them excel in replicating the feel of an actual H-pattern gearbox, but both would do the job of changing gears. With some small modifications, you can gain a fair amont of tactile feedback from both of these shifters.
The handbrake mod isn't necessarily meant to be bought as a substitute for a 'hydraulic handbrake' but can be a very handy addition to people, who use their shifter as an 'H-pattern' and 'Sequential shifter' for some disciplines and the 'Handbrake mod' with paddle shifters for rally.
There are many different use cases for our mods and find these a good option to have, if you want a more 'realistic' feel to your shifter.
I like this but I also feel there should be a plate(maybe a gated plate to help cover the hole maybe) for this kit for the H- pattern. Not a fan of that open look for the H-pattern set up.
With more parts, there's also more manufacturing and that will affect the price. You still have an option, to use the 'stock' shifter boot, but it will take extra time to install it and to take it off, to install a sequential/handbrake.

Thanks for pointing out an issue, that might cause some confusion. Currently when you choose a colour, then it's for the 'ramp' and 'gearknob', as the base plate will come in black. We also offer kits with the preferred colour 'ramp' and a charcoal grey colour gearknob, but that would have to be added as an additinal comment on the order, if you like that.
We'll work out an easier system in the coming days..

@@immax7181 well it would depend, if you are able to assign the buttons to do a different operation. With the 'Sequential shifter' you would assign 3rd gear as [shift down] and 4th gear as [Shift up] and you would be sorted.

Question, i have 2 logitech shifters cause my friend gave me his old one awhile ago but the reverse gear stopped working so I just bought another one whatever anyways theyre both the same model, the one you have and i was wondering would it be possible to have one of them as a manual shifter and the second one with the handbreak setup? Like plugged at the same time next to each other you know? I know I would need a usb adapter for the second one but im asking cause the buttons would be the same right so if i mapped the handbreak modded one wouldnt it just shift into 4? Or is there a way around it, cause while this mod cost more than the shifter itself it's still cheaper than buying an actual handbreak. Apologies for this absolute essay 😭😭
You can use a Co-Pilot adapter by Collective minds to make the shifter standalone on a PC. It will allow you to use the linear function of the shifter and should work. we will make a video of it soon
The sequential shifter mod is pretty good, the handbrake one i think is not worth it because it will act as a ON/OFF handbrake, and not pressure sensitive, so for drifting is better just to get a handbrake rather than do this mod.

Thank you for the feedback Patal🙏 You can get the shifter to also work as a 'Linear' handbrake if a 'Co-pilot' adapter is used, like we have in the video. This makes the handbrake act as 'pressure sensitive' and can also only use 30% of handbrake. But in most instances you need a 100% lock-up from the handbrake anyway, so it won't have too much effect.
I have use CSS's mod as handbrake and even it's ON/OFF it working well. Timing is key to get rear wheel off Road. That's work Dirt Rally 2.0 Rallycross-event perfect 👍
I’m just getting in to using sim wheel and peddle and shifter set up and this might sound dumb but I don’t understand how the game and shifter register each other differently just by adding a knob/lock, mod? Especially when the original shifter wasn’t designed to just go up and down/back and forth. Either way I will more than likely be buying one of these because I play mostly rally games and I just find it much quicker with the sequential shifting. Dope ass product.

A small amount of WD-40 or similar needs to be applied on the gear lever so the slider ( part with bearings attached to it) can move on the shaft smoother.

I bet there could be a way. Just program the 4th gear on the shifter as gear up then the 3rd gear would be gear down. I’m not entirely sure if you can do that but I’d make sure you can before you buy the mod.
This mod works with games where you can assign buttons for different operations and may not work with all games on Xbox. We know of a few people who use these with Rally games and also ACC, on an Xbox console.

This mod doesn't do anything for 'H-pattern' but in the video, there should be a 'suggested video' (around 3:10) which you should be able to click. Alternatively you can check out our other videos and look for 'Logitech H-pattern improvement'

With our current design, it may start affecting the operation of the 'sequential shifter' since it will scratch the gearlever and make the slider move less smoothly. But we may look into it, with enough interest.
