Logitech shifter sound dampener mod | CSS
This mod is designed for all Logitech G25, G27, G29, G920, G923 and Driving Force shifters to reduce the noise levels from shifting gears and the gear lever hitting the plastic case. It will drastically improve the feel of the shifter and makes changing gears feel more realistic. This mod is made of soft rubber so it greatly dampens the sounds when changing gears and makes the shifter quieter when being used when other people are asleep.

I just got this today and I find it much too stiff so I might try trimming it down a little. My first order somehow didn’t go through so after about 2 weeks and contacted them saying it hadn’t arrived and they sent a new one out the next day. Good customer service.
try sanding it rather than triming it as you only need to shave a small amount off

Just got this installed a couple days ago and I’m thoroughly enjoying it, it’s doing exactly what I picked it up for and that was to keep the shifter in neutral as I have the shifter tilted to simulate being in a classic cab over truck, the ‘notchy’ shifts are nice too 👌

So how do I make it work like a sequential? If I try and upshift, it would just go to 4th then back to neutral?

!!!ATENTION!!! DO NOT USE SILICONE GREASE i had this for less than 2 weeks and now my th8a doesnt work anymore at first i used silicone grease for everything in the th8a and it must of gotten in the circuit board it woroked for a bit than my th8a didnt get detected anymore also the ballsprings came out wich is somthing that is very hard to do (because of the silicone grease) DO NO USE ANY LIQUID TYPE GREASE and make sure it dosent touch the circuit board the 3D printed part has 8 screw holes in it and if you ever need to replace one of the springs be careful when screwing back in to place because its very easy to screw it at an angle, and it will screw away the plastic damaging the part I got really unlucky with this
I installed it today, and the difference in feel it makes is just amazing. I couldn't stop smiling as I shifted and the feeling of driving got better. The best upgrade I have bought by far.
How long did arrive when you ordered it?
I ordered it just less than a month ago and it arrived today. I'm in the UK and it came from Australia.. so. literally other side of the world

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE BUYING: Do it! It's absolutely amazing, and feels so much better and more realistic. COST: The actual part was $10, and shipping was $7 so $17. Good investment. DELIVERY: Shipping took 20 days to the US, very slow, however it's worth it! INSTALIATION: The installation was very easy. about 20 mins. This video is super easy to follow so no problem here. The only thing is, you might need the screw drivers to take apart the shifter. SHOULD YOU BUY? Yes you should! Take it from me, it's a very nice improvement. Hope this helped anyone looking to buy this. I know I wanted this comment before I bought it. 🔥🔥🫡

Great to hear you like it. A small amount of WD-40 or similar needs to be applied on the gear lever so the slider ( part with bearings attached to it) can move on the shaft smoother.

Old video so i might not get a reply, but can you connect 2 logitech shifters and have them working at the same time? Keen to get the sequential 2.0, but was wondering if I bother buying 2 kits (one of hand brake too).
You can use 2 Logitech shifters with the 'Co-pilot' adapter. It will allow you to plug 1 shifter in the USB port and still use the 2nd through the Logitech wheelbase

Works really nice, had to trim down the piece about 1mm or less to work properly but nice once it worked

Guys so stressed about doing this mod. A lot of comments saying to try do this and don’t do that. Stressing me out🥲 Can someone list me everything I need to do this mod. Even the part with the grease is stressing me out. Where do I put it how much should I put, what if it gets in the wires or something. Please and thank you😂
So the easiest method would be: 1. Install the replacement spring 2. Install the 6 screws that hold the metal plates in place 3. Add extra grease on the metal plate where the ball bearing moves against for a smoother movement 4. Don't try the shifter operation before you have re-installed all the plastic casing screws, as that gives the shifter move rigidity and the ball bearing won't pop out then. Some people have tried the operation before putting ALL the screws back in, causing the ball bearing to pop out. Hope this relieves your stress a bit and you'll be able to enjoy the improved shifter😁

Received mine yesterday, pretty impressed with the shipping speed tbh (Australia to New York in under a month) and got to install right away. I love the feel, especially with the heavier shifter I got from the site, however I now have an issue where my first and 3rd gear are "slipping out" and I have no idea what I did to cause it. Any help would be great. Playing assetto, it recognizes first gear, especially when I keep continuous pressure, but the moment I stop holding it in first, or third, and go to grab the wheel it no longer senses it's in gear and puts me in neutral
Make sure the switches on the inside of the shifter are exactly in the same place as before. Some people have also been able to re-calibrate the shifter through Logitech software.
Cool but 99$ for that is too much. I could get a th8a shifter for that price and it has 7 gears
