"This might seem complex, but it's not, let's see how this works" skips all the wiring and connection processes "See it's easy"
You completely ignored the wire-tied bundle of wires that are bundled with the RCA jacks. I don't see these referred to in the instructions either. Some of those wires are labeled "Connect To Aftermarket Radio", and some aren't. The instructions aren't clear so I thought this video would help but you do not mention those wires. After much staring at the harness I'm pretty sure those need to be hooked up also but it would be nice to have instructions as to where they go.
I have a 2012 Highlander non JBL. I used connectors 3, 4 and 5. Thank you for the comment on the blue/yellow wire for the steering controls. Almost nobody mentions this ( I almost missed it) I got it up and going. I installed a Kenwood head unit that had a blue wire for SWC so after connecting them it was all good.
Thank you for the video. Hooked everything up perfectly.
Thanks for the video, just in time for install in my 03 sport edition 4 runner!
How did the install go? I'm looking to install a Pioneer avh 2330 nex into my 04 sport 4runner. Can you tell me the parts you used, please? Thanks.
I have this harness to connect to an android headunit on my 05 Sienna with JBL. I got it to work but steering control still doesn't work, been trying for a while and still doesnt work
Will it retain Factory USB in a '13 Sienna SE?
Would this be able to retain the backup camera assist steering grid lines?
I am using this smart harness on my Sienna 2006. I have found that the blue/white cable is not providing my glass antenna amplifier with enough voltage (only 2.3 V or so), so I had to connect my car side wire to the ACC lead, in order to get my AM and FM antenna amplified.
So I have an older model how would one connect the HS Can wires to the OBDII connector. I don't want to do anything that may interfere with a scan should I need to take it to a mechanic. I can't see any videos and where that would help.
So… what’s the purpose of this device exactly?
Hi Is there a set up for Chrysler town and county 2007 with amp Kenwood radio thanks. Jeff
What should I do . My module works sometimes . I pulled it and hear a buzzing sound from the board.
Will this work for a 2017 Camry SE?
Hi I have NAV between analog speed and RPM after install the nav return ?
Would this work with android head units? (Such as Dasaita px6 10.2”)
can you use it to retain the factory sxm?
Do you have any videos for a 2013 toyota camry?
anyone have information about what each led flashing combination means?
Guy at best buy said it's a headache to use on my 07 Camry lots of splicing. He said it's better I buy a stereo off them and let them do the free installation. It's been a hassle with my local audio store selling me the wrong harness a month back. Only to learn it's this harness.
I went to Bestbuy for an 08 Avalon, after having another shop install a Pioneer radio I purchased and they fixed it for $100, everything works
I need help programming BOSS stereo to 05RX330. The steering wheel changes the buttons all crazy and have tried programming it over a 100 time 😖😂😭🤦🏼♂️. What am I doing wrong, I've followed all your steps several times
I dont have either of those steering wheel connectors in my dash, i only have the first 3 connectors in my 2003 Toyota 4Runner with JBL amp. I want to keep my steering wheel controls.
How did this end up ?
I hooked it all up plugged int he power connectiom and turn the ignition on, and i get no led light up, nothing...like no power? Any advice on where to go from here?
Did you find a solution to this??? I am having the same issue.
could you do video with wiring step by step, I am putting one of these in my 09 Toyota Avalon and want to make sure that i get the wiring correct. when i installed the fist time, radio works but when turn on headlights radio shuts off, and radio comes back on when headlights are turned off. Thanks
I installed this on my 2005 Toyota Avalon with jbl audio system. Works great so far and no issue with the lights.

Did you have to keep the factory radio in the trunk to retain you heat temp display up on the dash above the stereo?
I had a tech at Bestbuy take apart the factory radio and wire the motherboard into the harness for everything to work, no having to relocate the factory radio to the trunk
@@jamesmccracken4763 for my car I didn’t have to relocate the stereo. With the interface you won’t need to relocate radio. It’s a little tricky wiring the interface but the color codes and installation instructions were very helpful. I used this video as reference. Has been working great for me. Still have my double din alpine with apple carplay and aftermarket backup camera. Setup has been working with no issues. I have all my hvac controls and blue screen working great. I still have my steering wheel controls also.
What if pac connect is red?
Do you still need the radio relocation kit for 08 avalon with the pacs interface?
yes
No
So I had to have them wire the factory radio circuit board to the pac and replacement radio for the screen to work properly, this has to be done for the 08 til 11 Avalon.
Is PAC having supply chain issues. I can't find this anywhere.
Crutchfield has them.
I can't see the temperature or the fan speed for the blower motor 08 Avalon, the steering wheel controls work just can't tell what mode the heat or ac is blowing or the temp, I can see the mpg
You have to relocate the factory stereo to the trunk. Theirs a plug and play harness to do it.
@@jamesmccracken4763 so I had a tech at Bestbuy fix it, he took the motherboard out of the factory radio and wired it in to the harness so that everything works
So I've done the update now I have no steering wheel controls on the volume side and the screen still only shows the mpg but no hvac controls, I can turn the temp up and down and turn off the hvac system from the hvac side of the steering wheel. By the way this is on 2008 Toyota Avalon without the JBL system no navigation standard key to start
@@nacholiberty2705 no, I have not I have an appointment with Bestbuy to look at it and see if they can fix it, radio works heater and ac work just don't see it on the display.
This was helpful but not helpful. I have a 2016 4runner limited and i have connections that dont go anywhere to the pac or the new head unit. I’m at a loss and cant find any videos to help with this.
Mine died after less than a year. For the price - Not happy. Are there alternatives?

@@stingersolutions I have one out of the box with flashing red lights when I install and no audio from the system. Tried to run the Radio Pro app and I have only flashing amber when connected and can't access settings. Is my box DOA? Why do you no include what the various lights mean in your instructions?
You skip everything
Now they are back ordered for weeks and cost $200……
Wtf is a can hi and can low signal
But he never said anything about if you need the pac for the oem jbl touchscreen .
Why would you need this if your just planning to use the stock stereo anyway?
@Abel Alba I will eventually put in stereo that's in my closet, but I gotta find someone who does fiberglass to make me a mid and tweeter pod for my 2013 toyota a pillars.
Is this a joke? Might be one of the worst instructional videos ever made!?
How about you share the actual name of the wire bundles instead of “this one” or “this one” or “these two”.
I’m also an electrical engineer! What are you guys thinking?
Don't buy this company's products if you want any sort of longevity in your tech investment. None of their apps work in OS 11. My less than a year old Bluetooth module from them that connects my Jeep to my iPhone 6s is no longer useful due their lack of software updates.
Hello, Can you please share what app is not working with OS 11? At PAC, we want to make sure that our apps work on all operating system platforms. You can also reach out to our tech support if you are having trouble with an app - they can be contacted at 866-931-8021 or support@aampglobal.com.
@@stingersolutionssoooooo video doesn't explain what to do with the OBD II input connection for the older vehicles
1st you say it's easy and that you will show us how is done, that's what made me stick around. Then you spend 3 mins removing radio from a specific car which is completely unrelated and unnecessary, and then you totally ignore the wiring section, you know, the hard part, what we are here for.... Almost as if you want people to go to you instead of telling us how you wire this thing as you said in the beginning of your video you would do.... This is not teaching, this is teasing. No wonder 6 years later and you haven't grown your channel, cuz people don't sub to empty content.... I'm out.
